Andrei is 10 year old today. her birthday was celebrated with a lot of joy. her parents can do anything for her. she is loved. That's what everyone thinks and it is true to an extent but Andrei has a different take. She is very sensitive and wants to change everything about her. her family is on the verge of breaking. her mother and father have a very toxic relationship. they fight and abuse each other. Andrei see it all. she goes to school and see other children smiling and happy but get jealous of them. Andrei in her head: (their parents must be earning good and living a good life.) she is not like other children. she is very young and devastated from inside. she isn't happy at all. her grandmother pays her school fees and blackmails her. Andrei is not allowed to talk to her maternal relatives or else her fee will not be paid. Andrei loves both her parents but has more sympathy for her mother. her father is abusive and beats her mother but Andrei's mother is a strong woman who is independent and works to feed her self. Andrei grandmother and father are united against her mother. she doesn't know why they fight and abuse. but she has been severely affected by this situation.

Andrei: ( in her head) I wish things were not like this. I am neither good at study nor my family situation is good. can I do something? nooooo i can't. I want to go to mom and sleep with her. why do I have to sleep with grandmother? (sobbing) I wish I wasn't born.

NEXT DAY

Andrei wakes up...her mother and father are fighting early in the morning.

Andrei father: You bitch. I'll divorce you. get out of my house

Andrei mother: why did you even marry me in the first place? it's not like it's a love marriage. why was your mother dying to have me as a daughter in law? I'll not leave this house. you are the one who cheats on me. I am not at fault.

Andrei father: Cheat? wtf bitch!! i will! i do it for my own peace. You can never give me everything I want so I will. I don't ask you for money than what's your problem.

Andrei grandmother: Just divorce her. i will get you another wife who can take care of Andrei and respect you. she is a useless bitch.

Andrei is habitual of these fights now. this is an everyday life event now. She goes to the washroom and takes a bath,wears her uniform and goes to school.

Fast-forward four years:

Situation was worse between Andrei parents. Andrei's mother files a case on her father for domestic violence. Today is the day when Andrei father has to show up in the police station.

Andrei is in the school and her father comes to school in the lunchbreak to meet her.

Andrei father: Your mother is a foolish women. she has brought this up on me and today I have to go to the station. Go to your aunt's house after school today

Andrei is silent. her father goes to the station and she is worried for what will happen. School ends and Andrei just reached her aunt's house. she is hungry and thirsty.

Andrei's aunt: You brat, Why did you come here? your mom has brought shame on our family. go to your house they will come soon anyway.

Andrei reaches hr house and finds that the front door is locked. she goes to the back door and it is open. she enters herhouse from the back door. Soon she hears the sound of a car coming and her father is held by some people unable to walk. she starts crying. her mother comes with Andrei's maternal grandparents. she asks her and she says:the police officer used only one stick on him and he fainted. it's all a drama.

her father comes and lies in her grandmother room crying and still abusing Andrei mother. Andrei also cried seeing her father like this.

Andrei in her head: would this be what my life will be like in the future as well??? why did I had to be born in this family. what is going on.???? i wish I could just die.
