And the award of best lead actor 2024 'female' goes to...?
Sam
*Clenches her eyes shut and crosses her fingers tight* God please let it be me! Let it be me! Let it be me!
SAMAIRA TENGKU everybody!
Sam
*pops open her eyes in shock* I-I really won?
The entire hall was echoing with the sound of a great round of applause from all the huge celebrities and the other audiences present in the hall.
The people Sam grew up only dreaming about working with were now applauding for her.
She couldn't believe that this wasn't a dream... That this was all real. Or was it?
Samaira stops on her feet thinking she heard somebody calling her name.
Confused Sam started looking here and there.
Sam
*thinks confused* wasn't she supposed to watch this after a week from her TV set at home?
Sam's Mom
Sam come on! It's six thirty, and you're late for your gym. Is that how you're planning to become a superstar in next couple of years?
And finally Samaira felt someone shaking her body vigorously from her shoulder
Finally, Sam opens her eyes to come back in 2022 realizing it was all her dream.
Sam's Mom
You're getting late beta!
Sam's mom, Mrs. Tengku said waking her up successfully.
Sam
UFF! Mom. I was in the middle of taking my best lead actor 2024 female award, and you woke me up!
Sam
Couldn't you just wait five minutes for me to take that trophy in my hands and finish my victory speech?
Samaira said smiling goofily thinking back about her sweet dreams
Sam's Mom
Just cut it out. You have got to head to the gym and after you've your college.
Sam's Mom
I woke you up, and my job here is done. The rest of the day is up to you! Alright?
Sam said rolling her eyes and finally kicked off the blankets off of her body and stepped out of her bed.
Sam AKA Samaira Tengku was an Indian origin Malaysian girl living in Los Angeles since she was nine years old.
She was a very simply brought up but extremely attractive young woman with a dream of becoming a hollywood superstar who just turned eighteen this year
She was a college senior and was graduating the other year. Her plans after graduation? Obviously Acting career.
It's not like she was having dreams which are faraway walk right now... She was the best actor in her college drama club.
She had done seventeen solo stage performances and twenty group drama as lead representing her college on the national level and has always managed to bring award home.
She was the best at this. She knew it, everybody at her college, her colleagues, friends and family knew it.
The First Time
David
I have to be at St Stevens, nine dot?
Andrew
Seems like that's in your work schedule... yeah!
Yawning these words David leaned back in his sofa scrolling through his cellphone unbothered inside his vanity truck.
David Richard was a 35 year old superstar who has given the industry 126 major hit movies back to back.
He's done 131 movies in total out of which 126 were super successful and blockbusters. He also had a 100% success rate. The highest anyone has ever had in the industry with that many number of movies so far
But David's stardom was kind of annoying to everyone else around him. He wasn't so punctual with time.
And that is what irritated his assistant and manager Andrew.
Andrew
Dude! You have to be with kids in like ten minutes. Get your arse up and head into your car.
Andrew yelled annoyed at David to which David just smiled coyly.
David
Chill dude. I'm a superstar. And you know what a superstar is? A person whom everybody likes to wait for... patiently.
Andrew rolled his eyes at David's word saying nothing.
He had been with David since the beginning of David's fame. He knew David really well by now, and he knew there was nothing he could do or say to him that could change his mind so, he just gave up.
Andrew
Fine! I'll be in the car. Come there when you're ready.
David
I knew you'd understand buddy!
David said that laughing at his best friend stupidly and got his eyes glued back on his cellphone screen.
David
So? I'm ready. Let's go meet the kids?
David said unapologetically coming towards his car to his assistant Andrew.
Andrew said rolling his eyes and got off the car opening the back door of the car for David.
Andrew
Enough with all the preparations, buddy?
Andrew points at the driver for his attention and orders him
Andrew
Get your *** in the driving seat and drive St. Stevens.
And just like that, David finally reached St. Stevens as its chief guest at Stevens Annual Cultural Festival 2022, that too three hours late.
Well, David had to stay up shooting for his next film all night, so you cannot exactly blame him for being so late but yeah, when he's made a commitment he should stick to it
At the college the students were all waiting for David only, that once he would arrive there they'll all start the festival.
After welcoming David presenting him with a bouquet and lighting the candles ceremony took place, David took his seat in the sofas placed in the front row before the stage and the program started.
The first program was an eight minute long skit performed by college drama club. They were all going to enact one scene from David's very own superhit movie.
In this skit, Samaira Tengku was going to perform the lead alongside the drama club president James Tyler.
As soon as the skit started and Sam said her first dialogue, David looked up at the stage, responding to her beautiful warm voice.
At this very moment, fatefully, Sam too looked David's direction and both their eyes kind of got locked in that moment.
Sam forgot her dialogue for a little bit as she got nervous being stared upon by a superstar from her dream industry.
Both David and Sam stood there... staring at each other.
This was the very first time, their eyes met and the moment was magical.
His Hating Stare
I wanted to speak, continue with my dialogues. This has never happened to me. I've never forgotten my dialogues in the middle of a skit but...
It was David Richard, the world 's most successful actor sitting before me. He was watching me. Not casually. His eyes, they were glued on me.
I couldn't make out his expression from. all the bright lights between me and him but I could clearly see him looking directly at me.
No-one else, but only me!
I know I'm not supposed to forget my lines. Hell, I've not said a word since the last Seventy seconds.
I tried closing my eyes shut, trying to remember my dialogues but I just couldn't.
I heard James finally trying to poke me into speaking, but I just cannot remember my lines right now.
I once again looked at David and as the lights turned the other way I watched him moving his lips
He was lip-sync something.
I tried to get what was he trying to say, and I couldn't believe it at all!
David Richard was helping me with my forgotten lines and since he helped me now, I remembered the rest of my lines
Sam
I thought I lost you forever... but here you are, with me, locked in this moment.
I was supposed to be sad in this scene when I say these dialogues, but my insides right now were jumping in joy.
I was helped by David Richard himself.
My favorite superstar took a notice of me. Even though it was momentary, I knew he saw me, he properly noticed me.
Sam
I know you and I have separate ways to go tomorrow and that we both have just this one night for ourselves.
Sam
Hence, I want to savor this night as the best amongst all the upcoming nights in my life
Sam
I shall never love another man forth this night. So, let me pour all of my love to you in this one night that we have together.
I have never been nervous on stage but when I glanced a little in the way of David's and I saw him yet again staring at me unfaltering.
I tried to ignore that, but the constant feeling of being stared at was driving me insane. I couldn't focus.
My heart started to race so loudly that even my mic could capture it's lub-dub noise.
four minutes more and the scene was over.
All the actors including me and James came forwards, bowing to the audience meanwhile Richard was called upon the stage by our host for the show.
I saw him again, his eyes. They were like before glued on my face. I don't know what he was trying to look for in my face looking at me like that.
Earlier I couldn't make out his expressions because of the distance and the bright light, but now, while he was coming closer and closer to where I was standing... I started to get his expressions too.
His eyes, they looked angry.
His stare, they weren't of amazement... they were of hatred.
As he came closer, I started to notice he was looking at me while clenching his jaw?
Did I upset my favorite superstar?
Could it be because of my shit like acting of his very own scene just now, he is pissed with me?
But one thing was for sure.
That my first meet with my idol. And he hates me!
