'Mei, just one more day, we just need to wait one more day and will be together forever'

Hearing those words from the man she loves, reminiscing their love story from the past 3 years, despite her family's objections at the beginning of their relationship, she fought hard for him to gain their acknowledgment and acceptance. She wanted to see him before the wedding and went to his place wanting to surprise him but on his doorstep,

Clothes clattered around, and shoes were on the floor...

'Jin Li, how dare you?!' banging the door open she went straight to the two on the bed, shouted at them crying and as if heaven's answering her anger a loud thunder was heard inside and outside the house

'Mei, this is...' thinking of explaining his predicament and trying to get away from his betrayal

'This is not what you think, she drugged me and seduce me, I did not mean this to happen!' pointing at the woman in bed trying to blame everything on her

'What the hell Jin, we've been together for a year now just tell her the truth that you only want to marry her for her money!!!'

'Shut up!! don't you dare accuse me and destroy our relationship!!' Jin frantically denied the woman's accusation even if he is already caught red-handed

'Enough do you think I'm blind Jin? So my parents were right, you were just aiming for my inheritance?! And I thought I made the right choice of fighting for you!! To hell with both of you!!'

Anger, sadness, confusion, a mix of these emotions overwhelmed her, she wanted to run away from where she was standing but two strong arms immediately hug her making her unable to run

'Sorry Mei, but don't believe her. I love you, I need you please forgive me' trying everything he can so his plans won't be destroyed...

He put a capsule in his mouth, forcibly kiss her, and made her drink the medicine

'What did you?...' Interrupted by the woman in bed

'Come on Mei, believe Jin, he really loves you!! Do you know how much he cares for you? I mean he loves your money and he needs you for that..' laughing sarcastically while fixing her clothes 'but sorry to say he loves me more than you, especially in bed!'

A louder laugh echoed in the room and as she listens to her laughter Mei felt cold as if cold water was poured over her and making her drown into a deep silence only hearing the sound of rain coming from outside

Mei not minding the medicine she was forced to drink and containing her anger, reflexively kicks Jin on his private as to let her escape from his grasp

'AHHHH!!' groaning in pain Jin instantly removes his hands around Mei and curl up in pain, as she was freed from his arms she immediately try to run away crying furiously due to anger and embarrassment

'Get her!! if our plan fails I will blame this all on you!!' Jin commanded his woman to chase and bring Mei back

'Oh, come on Jin it's not just my fault we were already caught and besides you made her drink the pill, she won't get that far away'

And as the woman said, Mei slowly felt dizzy and wasn't able to run far away, adding the darkness due to the rain she was having a hard time seeing where she was going

she tried to keep on walking away from Jin's house but she slowly lost consciousness and fall near the entrance gate of the subdivision with no one to help her

The woman went out and search for her, and after some time Jin followed and search for her as well

'Did you find her? We need to find her it's raining hard now, we can't let her go!!' Jin asked nervously as he can't afford to let Mei get away from him

'Not yet, you know it's dark and raining heavily right? how do you expect me to find her that fast?!' the woman answered him with an irritated tone

the place was not that big but due to the lack of lights and heavy rain they had a hard time looking for her, especially since she was already lying on the ground covered in rain and mud

With the small flashlight in their hands, they were searching the path that leads to the gate

Following the path going outside, near the entrance of the gate, she was seen on the ground lying unconsciously

She was then carried back by Jin and brought back inside the house...

'I told you she won't get away, the pill has fast effects. She will fall into a deep sleep instantly and won't be able to wake up until tomorrow'

while the woman bragging about the results of the pill, Jin who is carrying Mei put her in one of the rooms and locks the door to make sure she won't get away even if she wakes up

'Are you sure that she won't wake up until tomorrow?' Jin asks to be sure 'We can't have her waking up tonight, we must make sure she will not be able to run away from me and our marriage!!'

'That I guarantee you!' the woman assured him while holding up a video camera in her hand 'So do you want to continue where we left off?'

their eyes meet as if both are agreeing to what they are thinking, they were grinning from ear to ear as they have another idea to get what they want,

the rainy night that seems long became the curtain call for Mei's nightmare.

In the morning Mei woke up on her wedding dress and was already in the hotel venue for their wedding.

Waking up with her wedding dress on, she was confused and thinking if everything that she remembered were just a bad dream

'Why am I here? I'm sure I did not dream of Jin betraying me, it was real right?'

thinking along these lines a knock came on the door

'Mei, are you ready?' her mom calls her out, slowly opens the door, and stares at her emotionally

'My little princess, you will really marry now..' tears falling from her Mom's eyes can't contain her sadness that her only little girl will now be married off and will start her new life

'Mom, how come I am here?' still confuse about what is going on she questions her mom again 'I wasn't supposed to be here, I am...'

Cut off by her mom's question 'What do you mean dear? Today is your wedding day'

'No mom, I mean...' remembering the happenings last night with Jin was not just a dream, she was sure of her memories so she continued to try and tell her mom about it

'I went to Jin last night and you're right mom, I shouldn't have trusted him, his a liar!!..' Noticing her Mom's questioning expression she stop and said

'Mom why? Don't you believe me?'

'It's not that I don't believe you dear but don't you remember you message us last night saying you went to Jin's place to discuss something about your reception, then due to the heavy rain last night Jin called us up saying you were so tired for the preparation and nod yourself to sleep, and that you weren't able to go home so we just let you stay with him, what happened last night? what do you mean he's a liar?'

Can't believe what she is hearing from her mother, Jin already made an excuse and made a complete lie as to why she was with him last night, 'No mom, that's not true!!' thinking of a way to expose Jin's lies she questions her mom 'if what you were saying that I texted you last night what time did you receive my message? and yes I did go to his place last night but not for the reason he told you! I went to him because...'

thinking back about her reasons she was so devastated that all this time she was tricked by that fox boyfriend of hers and she was a fool to believe so, continuing what she was to say, 'anyway my reasons are not important but if what he said is true, how come I am here, already wearing my gown without my knowledge??! how can you explain this?'

she was getting anxious and frustrated about everything that happened to her that she was asking questions that doesn't make sense but her mother answered her seriously despite being confused about her questions

'Well, today is your wedding dear so of course you will be here in your wedding gown'

getting more anxious and irritated, she wanted to explain more 'No mom, what I meant is I did went to Jin's last night but something happened and I would not want to stay with him anymore. I was hurrying home last night, then...'

trying to remember what happened after she ran away from Jin's room she stop for a moment and think deeply about what happened then her mom cut her line of thought

'Mei, are you okay? Don't you remember, you called us saying that you need to finish everything early morning and that you will come with Jin here to finish all the preparation?'

Gotten more confused as to how did she talk with them on the phone while she has no memories of it except the part where she run away from Jin's house angrily and lost consciousness on the way outside

'Are you alright dear? or are you getting cold feet and don't want to marry anymore?' asked her mom she instantly answered

'No, I am not getting cold feet but you are right mom I don't want to marry Jin anymore!'

Shocked and confused as to why her daughter saying all this stuff and doesn't want to get married anymore, she asks again to assure her doubts about her daughter's behavior

'My dear are you sure, you don't want to marry Jin anymore? Did you two fight last night?'

answering her mom 'Yes mom, I don't want to marry him anymore and it's not just a simple fight, I told you he is a liar!! he cheated on me!'

'Cheated?!! but you said he is an honest man and aren't you the one who persuade us that Jin doesn't mean harm to you and that you truly love each other?' assuring her daughter's answer again, a knock was heard from the door again

It was Jin who was knocking on the door asking if he can talk to his bride

'Honey, are you ready now? can we talk first before going to the ceremony hall?'

hearing Jin outside the door, she purposely talk loudly and said again 'I don't want to marry Jin anymore, he is a Liar!!' adding more to it as she doesn't want to explain or elaborate anymore she said 'he is a scheming, adulting bastard!!'

Jin crosses his brows, thinking of what he needs to do to get Mei's mom's sympathy and make it just a common misunderstanding as he knows that he is still not completely trusted by Mei's parents yet

He needs to step up and do something, as he is thinking of going inside, Mei's mom called him to enter the room

'Jin can you please enter the room and let's talk it all out'

Doubting Jin's explanation as Mei's mom can feel that something is off. Jin's telling a completely different story from her daughter's story and she feels like there is something more to it

but before Jin can enter the room Mei already made a statement

'Mom there is nothing to talk about we can just cancel this wedding off and that's it'

Jin rashly enter the room and said ' Mei can we please talk about this? I know you are angry but please don't misunderstand my intention..'

'Misunderstand? What is it that I misunderstood about? isn't it clear what you did to me and that...' Before Mei can finish what she wanted to say Jin made up another lie and kneel in front of Mei and her mother

'I'm sorry Mrs. Xiao, it was me who forced Mei to do that, I wasn't able to wait until we were married and I was just afraid before so.....I'm really sorry but please believe me I love Mei so much and even though we made a wrong decision before I want to set it right and no matter what happens, I will always support her'

Confused by Jin's acting Mei could not help but question him 'What are you saying!?'

Jin continuously acts in front of Mei's mom 'Honey we can't hide it anymore, we should just tell the truth that we already made love before we are even married and that we have aborted our child before, I'm really sorry Mei but we can't hide this anymore'

'WHAT?!!' Both Mei and Mrs. Xiao exclaimed

'We can't pretend anymore Mei, let's come clean, I know they will forgive us' Jin was great at acting, almost believable that Mei's denial just make it seems that she was being defensive

'No Mom, that's not true' trying to sound her mom, her dad suddenly slams the door and shouted at Mei, showing a video from his cellphone

'Mei, What is this?!!

'Jin, we won't have a child anymore, is this our Karma for aborting our child?'

a woman covering her face crying but has the same voice as hers is heard from the video and due to the dimness of the room and how far was the camera from the two, she could not justify that it was not her on that video,

'Jin, I know this is unfair to you but we can get a surrogate mother, we can ask Yin for that!'

the video continues with Mei sitting beside the bed saying 'Jin it's fine with me, we are just testing if Yin is compatible with you and as a surrogate mother'

'and Yin don't worry I will pay you for this'

Mei can't believe what she is watching, that this scene happened it was impossible

before she was able to finish her sentence her dad slapped her 'Did you know that this is circulating all over the net and I had to stop all of it?!'

Mei was shocked at what she watched, on the video it was as if she was a crazy selfish person only thinking of her image not being ruined, she was seen as an irresponsible person and unfeeling person who after aborting her baby and having bad consequences after what she has done and getting crazy enough to watch her fiance making love to another woman to test their sexual compatibility and even wanted to make use of the woman as a surrogate mother,

'Mei, I want you to tell me the truth!!' Mrs. Xiao insists on asking her daughter the truth

'No Mom, that video is a lie, I am not that kind of person, you know me Mom, and I am not that woman!' still insisting on her side, she did not back down and explained everything that happened last night

Jin was also asked about his side of the story,

Her parents are doubtful of the truth, knowing their daughter's personality, it seems that what she is saying is the truth but having the video as evidence for Jin's explanation, they can't seem to decide who is the one to believe

then suddenly one of the Xiao's bodyguards knock on the door, together with Yin, The Xiao's ask Yin the same questions to find out the truth but both Yin and Jin's story match and making any person who listens to them believe it

'What they are saying are lies!! I told you they were the ones who cheated on me and this is just their doing to ruin my reputation!!' Mei angrily defends herself as she feels that she can't validate her story without evidence, but she still believes that her parents will believe her knowing them

'Mei stop it already, I did everything you wanted me to do, and even though I can't stomach what you made me do yesterday, I still did it for you!! just for me not to lose you but you've been like this ever since we abort our baby, I know it's my fault but don't punish me anymore!' Jin tries to look as if he was the victim and justifies his acts that it was all because he loves Mei too much to the point he follows everything she wanted

adding more to it Yin also made a story of her own 'Mei, I treated you like my own sister, and I know you feel the same way too but I'm sorry, it was me who put a video recorder and post it on the internet, I just can't take what you did to me and how you treated me like I am just a disposable tool for you, I was not thinking right when I posted it on the net, I just wanted to video the events that happened last night to help you wake up and get you back to the former you but you have changed after you aborted your baby, I just want you to see for yourself that you're changing and reflect on it, I'm sorry!!'

a perfect lie as expected of the two was what Mei was thinking but she still did not back down and give them her words 'Don't make up stories, I haven't been pregnant and even had an abortion before if you still want to use that excuse, we can go to a hospital and let them check if what you're saying is true!!'

a perfect refute from Mei, she was able to hold herself and think how to get evidence to prove them wrong but her dad has a different solution in his mind

'I agree with you Mei but as of now the video is already leak to the public and even though I stopped it there were already people who have watched it and can make your reputation as the only heir of Xiao's down, we can give them a statement that everything was set up to bring down our company but we must show them that you and Jin doesn't have any problem and will proceed with your wedding'

being a business tycoon Mr. Xiao can't compromise the reputation they build up because of just a flimsy video scandal but like a wise man he knows no matter how small, it can still affect them badly

'No Dad, I won't marry him, he is just here to get our money as you've said, we won't push through with this wedding Dad!!' still insisting her disapproval of her dad's decision

'Mei, you wanted this, you insisted on Jin as your husband even after I had a fiance for you and now after what happened you're changing your decision?!' Mr. Xiao angrily reprimand Mei

'Jin get out now and prepare for your wedding' Mr. Xiao commands Jin and walks out of the room
