Alec’s pov;

“Kill him now and kill his family while you’re at it.” I said without hesitation

The man that was tied up to a chair in one of my warehouses stared at me with fear istening in his. I turned around fastening the buttons on my suit and walked off. The echoes of his screams were gut wrenching to those who were not used to it.

I walked out of the warehouse and walked towards my car.

I opened the door and jumped in unbottoning by blazer to allow me to breathe. I sat in silence for a while just needing a break however my thoughts were rudely interrupted when my phone began to ring. I looked down and saw that it said ‘Mother’ I held my breath and turned my phone off,praying inwardly she wouldn’t call back.

Don’t get me wrong I love her but she’s too motherly and too overprotective for my liking.

My phone started ringing and the same name appeared, I ran my hand over my fave and picked up the phone.

“Yes mother”

“Finally I thought you’d never pick up! You need to come home immediately we have something we need to tell you”

“Can this just not wait for another time ?”

“No”

“I’ll be there in five”

“Love yo-“

I put the phone down and turned on the engine. I drove off going round bends and past woodland areas until I got into the big city where there were bustles of people and cars.

I pulled up to my parents house,got out the car,locked it and walked inside. I saw my mother and father sitting there with a random girl with brown luscious locks of hair.

She looked up at me and gave me a sad,small smile in return I just looked at her puzzled.

I sat down furthest away from everyone.

“ Thank you for coming in such short notice” my mother sort of quivered.

“So what is it” I did not have time for this today.

“ well a few years ago and by a few I mean twenty we met another family who belong to this lovely girl right here” my mother continued to ramble and I just stared at the young girl who kept her head down,not looking at me even once.

I zoned back into reality at the worst possible time.

“You’re marrying her in a few days” my mother said smiling at me

“No”

“No? You don’t say no you say yes and get it over and done with” my fathers stern voice would scare the sternest of men but I just find it laughable at this point.

I got up and walked into the back garden and sat on the swing I used to play on all the time.

Iana (eye-ana) pov:

I looked up and saw Alec storming out of the room. I looked at his parents and apologised even though I did nothing wrong

“Don’t apologise darling you’ve done nothing he just has to learn he can’t always get his own way” his mother said softly

“ maybe I should go speak to him” I asked rather than told

“That’d be brilliant”

I wandered off and was this house huge I felt like I was in a maze . After a little exploring I found the door that led to outside and saw him sitting in the swing. Don’t get me wrong I do think that he’s handsome,but this isn’t what I want. Arranged marriages aren’t my style,the only reason I’m doing this is so my family can stay afloat with their stupid business,they care more about that than me.

I slowly walked outside,taking in the breathtaking view that was before me. I reached him and held my breath, I know how he feels about this.

“ Hi”

He didn’t say anything so I stood in silence for a little while. I sat down next to him on the ground of course I can’t sit on his lap.

Up close he was even more handsome and I could see his defined muscles through his shirt.

“ Are you just gonna sit there and stare at me all day ?”

I only just realised that I was full on gawking oops.

“Sorry”

Another awkward silence.

“You’re a brilliant conversationalist aren’t you”

He turned at me and gave me a dirty look

“ I don’t get it, what’s your problem with me?”

“I don’t have one”

“ yeah because you aren’t acting like a full on arse are you ?”

What was this guys problem I’m trying to be nice to him. Cunt.

I get up and walk off

“Where are you going”

This garden was absolutely beautiful,his parents are so lucky to live here. They’re so lucky to be able to live this kind of lifestyle. Sad memories flashed into my head as I remember the painful thoughts of my childhood.

I came across a small pond with all types of fish in it. Lily pads were on top of the water and cherry blossom leaves were floating in the wind. It was so peaceful.

“ Why did you ignore me”

Emphasise the word ‘was’

I rolled my eyes and turned round to him.

“ I’m not exactly getting any answers from you so why should I give you one?”

“Because I say so”

“Right whatever princess”

“Drop the attitude” he said his voice becoming stern

“ God it’s a joke lighten up”

I think his things is awkward silences because guess what there was another. Surprising I know.

“Why did you agree to this marriage?” He asked staring at me.

“I didn’t I’m not doing this for me I’m doing it because without this marriage my family’s business wouldn’t exist and we’d be living on the street,that’s why”

“ Oh”

That’s all he managed to say.

“Look I’m just gonna go” I walked off in the direction of his house hoping I could get out of here as soon as possible. I heard a person walking behind me and instead of carrying on walking I turned around and smacked right bang into what felt like a wall.

“Ow”

“Sorry” he said taking a step back from me.

“What’s up?”

“Nothing just felt like coming inside”

“Okay?”

I carried on walking towards the house.

I gathered all my stuff up and thanked his parents for letting me come round and walked out the house letting out a breath. Thank god.

Just as I was about to leave this drive a person grabs hold of my wrist.

I turned around and saw who it was.

“Where are you going ?”

“Home?”

“I’ll help you “

“Help”

“ I’ll agree to the marriage but there’s some things that I wanna go over before we have the wedding”

“Okay”

Iana's pov:

I threw on a pair of black skinny jeans and a white top.

I was not ready for today at all it's been a week since I last saw him and he had a car coming to pick me up. I'm only just realising how rich he is.

I checked the time and realised that I was running late,looking out the window I see that the car was already there. I internally growned.

I grabbed my bag and phone,locked up my apartment and ran outside.

The driver opened my door and I kindly thanked him,slinging into the seat I meet eyes with Alec.

"Hi" I said hoping to get a reply for once

"How are you ?"

Wow is he actually being nice for once?

"Fine,how are you?"

"Good"

I looked through the expensive car's windows and saw how beautiful the city looked. I sat there and stared for a while just having time to relax and have time for myself it's not easy trying to help out with the family business.

"So I have some requirements for this marriage" Alec said snapping me out of my dream

"Yeah what are they?"

"Well first of all no romance or anything like that,we're both free to be with whoever we want but in public we have to be together"

"That's fine by me,as long as you're helping out my family"

"Okay. Also you'll need to move in"

"What?" I practically shouted

"Well we'll be married and it'd look weird if didn't live together,don't worry we'll obviously sleep separately"

I sighed in relief

"Okay"

"Okay then"

"Where are we going"

"Nowhere particular,just driving around"

"Okay then..."

"Are you seeing anyone"

I stared at him in utter confusion

"No,you?"

"Nope"

"Oh. Would've thought that you'd have someone"

"I don't do relationships. I simply just ****"

I was astonished at how blunt he said it like I knew he was that type of guy I could tell by just looking at him.

"Surprised?"

"Not really no"

"Make sure that you have your stuff ready you'll be moving in in two days"

"That soon"

"Yeah"

The rest of the car journey was just me looking out the window and trying to make small conversation

Alecs pov:

I dropped her off and got ready for business.

My phone buzzed and instantly knew what it was about.

I sighed knowing today wasn't going to be any easier.

The car reached my building and I instantly hopped out and headed down.

I saw a man,his hands chained to the wall leaving him dangling and his futile escapes pointless.

"Is it what I think it is ?"

"Yes"

I pulled my gun out made sure it was ready to fire,aimed

"Wait please don-"

I shot five bullets each one landing in his head. His blood spat all over my face. I wiped my gun,and then my face.

"Sir-"

"What"

"There's a bit of an issue upstairs"

"That's all I need"

I made sure there was no blood on me then stormed upstairs. I felt like actually screaming.

"Hey baby I've missed you so much"

I felt like gagging,this woman disgusts me.

"What do you want"

"Another night of your time"

Ew I'm practically cringing at her.

"No I'm getting married"

"To who ?"

Like it's any of your business

"None of your god damn businesses,now ** off before I kill you"

"No,you said that you loved me"

"Yeah to stop you from whining,go be a *** to someone else "

"**** you! I won't forgot this"

"Yeah I'm sure you won't" I said rolling my eyes and sighing.

I turned on my heel and walked off.

"DONT YOU DARE LEAVE ME !"

"Do whatever with her"

My security guards nodded and the next thing you could hear was her high pitch voice shrieking. Surprised the windows didn't smash.

This rest of the day flew by and it was a mess. I had to deal with people and their shit.

I sat down on the sofa and just relaxed.

Loud crashes and breaking of glass turned my attention onto something much more futile.

Men stormed my house shooting their guns destroying everything.

I grabbed my gun,shooting a man just turning around the corner then turning around and shooting another.

I soon realised that I had no more bullets and was pretty screwed in this situation.

Guess I have to do it the old fashioned way.

I picked up a vase and smacked a guy in the head with it making him stumble back and his head on a table. My favourite table. I felt a bullet pierce my leg and my face get punched. Shit.

I hit the guy that just hit me until his face was a bloody pulp.

Luckily there was only one left.

I grabbed a knife from this kitchen and managed to stab him multiple times.

**** this I'm getting out here. I grab my keys and this first person that pops into my head is Iana.

Next second I know I'm standing outside her door. I knock twice.

She opens the door wearing wearing a black top and white shorts.

She stared at me gawking at the blood on my face and my bleeding leg.

"Hey" I said smirking

The world began to spin and everything went dark.

Iana's pov

What the hell was going on. Alec is absolutely covered in blood and did he get shot. I didn't get chance to think before he collapsed onto me.

I dragged him onto my living room floor,this is not how I wanted to spend my night.

A few hours passed by before he actually woke up. He stared at my in a daze and tried to sit up but it was to no avail.

"You okay"

"Yeah great" he said while smiling at me

"Do I even wanna ask what happened?"

"Meh not much just some people broke into my house and tried to murder me" he said while

"What the hell? How can you be so calm about it ?"

"It's nothing new. Stuff like this happens all the time"

"What the hell,what are you ? Some kind of mafia boss?"

"Yeah"

"What"

"Thought you knew that"

"No, why would I know something like that ?"

"I don't know"

I sighed in frustration.

"How are you feeling"

"Okay I guess but my leg still hurts a bit"

"It's a good job I know some pretty good first aid"

"Yeah it is"

"How come you a me to me,don't you like have anyone else that you can go to"

"Yeah but you're the first person that came to mind"

"Oh"

Since when was he so nice to me?

"Thank you for this by the way"

"It's no problem. Can I ask do you have anywhere you can stay ?"

"I'll probs just stay at a hotel for a few days before everything gets sorted"

"Why not stay here?"

"What?"

"I mean I'll be able to look over your wounds and stuff"

"Only for a night though,I have a ton of stuff and a lot of it is things you shouldn't get involved with."

"Sure"

Have I lost my mind ? Why did I ask that?

The night flew by and the next thing I knew it was daytime. I turned over and saw Alec lying next to me. I swear I left him on the floor. Close up he looked pretty cute. God I bet I looked like a right creep.

His long lashes and perfect jawline could catch the attention of any girl.

I lie on my back and take a breath in.

"Enjoy the view gorgeous?"

Gorgeous ? That's a new one

"I've seen better?"

"Like who hmm ?"

"That's a secret but maybe you'll see them one day ? Who knows?"

I said turning over once again to face him

"I hope I don't"

I laughed at his reaction and got out of bed.

"Also,why are you in my bed?"

"I got cold and I couldn't sleep,you're very cuddly when you sleep you know"

I blush hard in embarrassment,I'm a sucker for cuddles,awake or not.

An hour passes and by that time I'd gotten ready to see my oh so lovely parents.

"Where you off too ?"

"I have to see my parents to help them out"

"Oh"

"Yeah"

"Are you still going be helping them out after we get married?"

"Probably yeah,I don't have much of a choice to be honest"

"Okay"

"I'm off,if you need anything call me and if you go out lock up and put the keys underneath the plant,I'll see you later"

"Bye"

"Please don't cause anymore trouble"

And with that I got ready to start a new day!
