Jia Mo.

Its raining heavily and I'm completely drenched. I don't bother to cover up myself. I had just witnessed my boyfriend, Qin Shi cheat on me with my best friend Yi Xiner. Yi Xiner was obviously more beautiful than me, she did belong to a wealthy family unlike me. I am an orphan without any background.

But still I had loved Qin with all my heart, his betrayal really got me. Just the thought of all the wonderful memories we had fills my eyes with tears. I really need to take a break.

Slowly pull myself home and remove my clothes that were plastered to my skin because of the water slowly. My mind just can't help going back to those beautiful memories Qin and I had shared. It was over... all over. I start crying my eyes out... that jerk ..that bastard .... he played me.! My chest ached....I was a mess. I dialed Qin's secretary. At the second ring she took the call.

"Hello, Jia what can I do for you? "

I take a deep breath ... I can do this..

" Hello Carla, I have decided to resign.."

my throat choked... tears returned to my eyes...My mind went back to Qin..shit I needed to erase that asshole from my mind. Carla also seemed to get shocked at what I had told.

Carla asked," What happened Jia?? Why so suddenly? Did something happen between you and Mr. Shin? "

I sighed and answered her," Carla, Qin and I are over, and I need a break .. I'll send my resignation letter tomorrow, ok?"

"Ok, Jia , But will Mr. Shin agree to your resignation?"

" Oh Yes, He was the one who suggested it. ", I lied.

" Ok, Fine then , Bye Jia, we will miss you "

I wasn't able to control my smirk , rolling my eyes I replied," Qin won't , anyway and that doesn't matter to me anymore , Bye Carla" . She hung up.

Now I had severed all ties I had with Qin. Now I need to start again... start a new life. But first I need to get him out of my mind. I decide to have a bath and head to my favourite casino. I needed a whiskey right away.

As I entered the casino, I ordered for a whiskey to drown all my sorrows into it.

I didn't need Qin. He is painful past I need to forget. My whiskey goes down my throat warming my current cold body. Mmm it tasted bitter... bitter and slightly sweet and my body started to relax for the first time.

Suddenly I heard a commotion... the girls in the casino seemed to look very excited as if their idol was about to walk in . Suddenly through the door of the casino an extremely handsome guy entered. I swear to God Almighty that is the most handsome guy I have ever seen !

As he came nearer my heart started over work ,...I was pretty sure everyone near me could hear my heartbeat..it was that loud! There was a slight tap on my shoulder , a guy in a suit ,mostly in his thirties came close to me and by close I mean real close....

" Hey there, pretty lady would you like to accompany me tonight?"

Wait what God I need help and right away..

He begins to touch my exposed arm and almost putting his hand over my waist . My body starts resisting his touch. I try to pull myself away from him. But he is just to strong for me!

God please help me!!!

I push him away with all my strength, he falls on the floor.. He gets up angry shouting " You Bitch!!!" Swinging this hand high to hit me.!

I shut my eyes expecting a blow on my face .. but the blow never comes... i could hear gasps but mostly the room had gone silent.. I slowly open my eyes to see what's going on... the man's hand was caught in mid-air by another hand clothed in an expensive suit... I slowly turn my head to see my saviour... my mind goes blank as I see a resolute and calm Mr.Handsome ... the guy who had walked in had just saved me!

Jia Mo

Did what I think happened just happen or is it because I'm going crazy. Did the handsome guy who just walked in save me?? God I'm going to freak out.

He looks very handsome closer. Those photos on the posters does him injustice , he is way more handsome.! His calm and soothing voice cuts through my thoughts.

" Don't you see she isn't interested? Leave her alone"

" Sorry Mr. Li I didn't know she was your woman"

Wait... What?!! When did I become his woman?I don't even know his name.! Shocked I turned to face Mr.Cutie, on the other hand he just smirks and let's the man go. He calmy puts his hand around my waist. I turn to look him in the face. His crystal blue eyes reaches mine and he lets out a smile.

"Come let's get out of here" , he whispers into my ears. I nodded and walk out of the casino along with him.

I can feel the eyes of the people on me. People where whispering, they seemed to be as surprised as I am.

As we walk out I have no clue what's going to happen.

"Thanks for helping me out"

He just ignored what I said and walks towards his magnificent car and opens the backdoor. "Get in", he almost orders .

"But l...?"

" I said Get In"

I finally comply to his orders and get inside the car and he takes his seat beside me.

"I'll drop you home hand over you address to Ryan "

I tell my home address to the driver and sit back . I glance him to find him staring at me. I choose to ignore it and begin to admire the beauty of the night sky.

Tomorrow is going to be a huge day. I have to start looking for a new job. Soon we reach at my place. I manage a "Thank You" after all he had been considerate and helped me twice. But he just chose to ignore me , at times I don't understand what's up with him being cold and arrogant.

On reaching home , I get ready for bed. After all today had been very eventful and I'm very tired.I climb up my bed and try to sleep but I can't keep that excessively handsome guy of my mind. If it hadn't been for him I would have got humiliated today by that man. I sigh and force myself to sleep.

This little kitty is certainly interesting. I have no idea what came over me. Seeing that little kitty getting bullied by that manager. I couldn't just control myself from helping her and didn't even feel like correcting that guy for misunderstanding us, instead I enjoyed it . I don't feel any hatred towards her which I normally feel towards other women . Could she be The One?

"Ryan I want you to investigate on the girl who just know came along and I want the results by tomorrow morning"

"Yes Mr. Li "

I'm sure this kitty will turn out to be more interesting.

It's a bright day, a new chapter in my life. I need to find a new job. I get ready for the interview, I had applied at a few companies. Wish nothing goes wrong. You can do it Jia Mo, with that resolute I march out of my house with confidence.

On reaching at my first company, I saw Qia Ji, my ex-bestie coming out holding Qin's hand.

"Oh...look who it is ..Jia are you here to apply for a job?"

" Yes, what does that have anything do to with you?"

"Just that this is my brother's company...(lowering her voice) you really think I'll let you have a job here?... I'll ruin you in such a way that no company that I know will hire you "

This girl!!!!

" Qia Ji you have taken my boyfriend away from me now what do you want from me now? "

" Who said Qin was your boyfriend? You were just my replacement. Ha how could a girl with no family background become Qin's girlfriend?"

I turn to Qin with a cold smile, " Do call me for the wedding."

I rush past them. If I had stood there for another minute I would have either ended up slapping Qin ,Qia or crying. This was the maximum damage anyone could do to me. Qia has ruined my job opportunities and even took away someone I had loved so dearly.

It's midday and I have not been successful with any company looks like Qia really did what she had said. But I can't lose hope, there must be at least one company she couldn't have reached.

The Li Group is my last hope. The President of the Li Group is looking for a new secretary. I could try out there. Fingers crossed I wish I get this job at least.

I just can't get that little kitty off my mind. Rye should be here any moment with the results of the investigation.

Jian Lu, my best friend and the heir to the Lu Group, enters my cabin.

"Oo ... what happened bro? You look distracted"

" Really?? I don't believe you, you look like you just met your long awaited girlfriend"

Just then Rye enters the room announcing that he got the results on the girl from last night. I glance at Jian and turn to glare at Rye. What a timing! I had just told Jian there was no girl and lo here comes my butler telling me he got information on that little kitty.

Jian's eyes are round for all I knew about him this was the calm before the storm.

" WHAT YOU ARE INVESTIGATING A GIRL?? ,Who is she, what does she have to do with you? She my future sis-in-law? Did you get laid???..."

I slammed my hands into my ears. Those were absurd questions and I don't even know where to start. I knew this was going to happen. Explaining this to Jian is going to be hard.

Seeing me reluctant he turned to Rye.

"Master had saved this girl at the bar from a guy and even dropped her home."

Wait..Did my butler just give me away??

"When did you get interested in gossip Rye?

Not surprisingly Jian stood up for him.

" That is a pact we have bro, now you tell me who is this girl??"

" Jian don't you have an important appointment in ten minutes?"

" What appointment??....Oh shit!!! I'm late..don't think you have escaped bro... I'll be back for you"

I couldn't help my chuckle as he grabbed his things and ran out of my cabin.

" Master, Miss Mo has applied for the secretary post at our company"

I took the files he had placed on my table. So the little kitty's name was Jia Mo and she had applied for my secretary's position. Did she know I this was my company? Does she have any ulterior motives? I'll just have to wait and see.
