Adrianna hummed a soft song as she brushed her long dark hair, she had a huge smile on her face as she faced the mirror, despite the fact that she had just seen a dark ugly scar which ran from her nose to her lips through the mirror.

it still didn't wipe the beautiful smile off her face, instead, her cheeks reddened like a riped tomato as she remembered the hot kiss her and her boyfriend gray just shared some minutes ago before her rushed out of her house in a hurry, saying that he wanted to tend to something very important.

Adrianna cleared her throat as she pinched her right cheeks and also hissed innocently at her own act.

"Anna!, what is wrong with you!!, get a grip of yourself!!"Adrianna scolded herself in front of the mirror before dropping the brush in front of her little make-up table.

But suddenly....she remembered that gray hadn't eaten anything since last night, and right now he should be famished and tired right?

"ohhhhh, Adrianna, why are you so stupid?, you claim to love him but you can't even take care of him"Adrianna slapped her face with her palms as a small pout formed on her face.

Adrianna sat on her chair as she placed her right fingers under her jaw as she thought of what to do, she couldn't help but feel worried for him.

and knowing very well who her dear boyfriend is, he hates anytime she goes to visit him without informing him.

she could even remember the last time they had an argument because of the same matter, the woman who was next door who overheard their argument that night had told her that gray might be cheating on her and that was the reason why he didn't want her to visit him at all.

But she couldn't get herself to believe....

She knew that gray would never do that to her no matter what, she knew that if he hated her and wanted to cheat on her, he wouldn't have confessed his love for her even when she was damn ugly!!!

After thinking about it for more than three minutes, she decided to visit him with some food, maybe after seeing his favourite delicacy she prepared for him, she was sure that his heart would melt so slightly and he would forget about it.

by the ways, she knew gray, he was so gentle, not only towards her but to any other person.

plastering a half smile on her face she entered her small kitchen to prepare her dear boyfriend's favourite.

Adrianna took a breathe in, savouring the delicious scent that filled her nostrils and awaken all damn dead cells inside her body system.

but no....no matter how she wanted to eat it too, but she had infact made it for gray and gray alone.

Humming to her song again with a soft tune, she placed the box safely into a little bag before approaching the door with steady steps, after unlocking the door , she walked out and closed the door behind her.

Adrianna bit her lower lip hard as she placed her hand on her chest, she suddenly felt restless, she could just feel it inside her bones that something bad was going to happen.

No matter how people stare at her like she was a demon, she had never felt like this....

placing her hands on her chest, she took a breathe in and then out, trying to calm her racing heartbeat.

maybe she was getting scared thinking how gray's reaction would be upon seeing her in his mansion today.

Thankfully, his mansion wasn't that far from hers, she only walked for up to eight minutes and she had already arrived, walking towards the massive dark gate, she banged her knuckles on the gate as she waited patiently for John, the security man to open the gate for her.

She stood there tapping her feet on the floor as the emotion nervousness clowded her vision, what was wrong?, why was she this nervous?, she had always been nervous anytime gray flirts with her or make advances towards her but she just felt like.....

This emotion was mixed with something else, something that she shouldn't be feeling at the moment...fear!.

Hearing the sound of the dark gate opening snapped her out of her thoughts as she turned to look at John who was in his blue security uniform, he flashed her a smile before paving way for her to come in.

"is your boss around?Adrianna asked as she synchronized the beautiful and neat environment before her.

"yes he is, miss Adrianna"John muttered politely and Adrianna gave a small bow before walking into the mansion...

Adrianna climbed the beautiful stairs made of her glass which actually led to gray's room, immediately, she was in front of his door, ready to knock....

she froze, her eyes bulged out wide in shock like a football as her ears caught the harsh and loud moans echoing around the entrance of his room.

The more she stood there frozen, the more the loud noises increased, but what hurt her and sliced into her chest was the fact that her beloved boyfriend, gray's gr0ans were so loud.

After her brutal hit, gray had tilted his head to the side in pain but Adrianna didn't let him calm down from the first slap as she gave another resounding slap straight to his other cheek.

Adrianna was about to give him another slap but he ended up grabbing her arm and stopping her from achieving her purpose.

She watched as his once gentle, loving and soft eyes hardened before her as he glared dangerously and darkly at her making the hairs on her body to stand as she stared at him with a terrified expression.

"Who do you think you are, you damned b**ch, i think i have been playing with you, that's the reason you dared to raise your dirty hands to slap me!!!?? "Grey yelled as he stretched forth his hand to grab her hair.

Immediately his fist were wrapped tightly around her dark hair, he dragged her towards the door while she struggled on the floor.

"Stay still, damned b**ch!!!"Gray yelled again and pulled her hair harder that adrianna began to feel her scalp burn as she yelped with tear stained cheeks.

His harsh words were like daggers being stabbed continously into her chest.

When gray was close enough to the door, he opened the door and pushed her. Adrianna had expected him to leave her after that but to her shock, he continued to drag her like a piece of rag until he reached the stairs.

Adrianna's eyes widened in horror as harsh reality slapped her hard on her cheeks.

Before adrianna could open her mouth to plead with him, he pushed her off the stairs like a dirty piece of paper being disposed.

She could feel her bones cracking, her whole body burning, as she fell off the stairs and rolled down till she was on the bare floor.

Her eyes felt hazy and blurry as her tongue grabbed the sour taste of her own blood.

Before her eye could blink close, as she stared at gray's eyes which had evil glinting on them, she swore to avenge what he did to her!!!

Not only him, she would make all the people who looked down on her pay a very big price !!!.

Adrianna fluttered her eyelids open and yawned but immediately she did so, she hissed as an undescribeable pain formed on her head.

"Ouch"

A soft yelp escaped her lips as her eyes wandered around the room, that was when harsh reality slapped her hard, everything wasn't a dream.

Everything that had happen was reality..

A sob escaped from her lips as she sat on her bed despite the pain, no, at that moment the pain didn't matter at all because what she went throught just some hours ago was more painful than this temporary pain.

She had been such a fool thinking that gray loved her, so that was the reason why he forbidded her from visiting him without his notice.

The woman next door told her about it but she ignored it, she refused to believe as she chose to believe gray.

Adrianna couldn't stop the tears despite the banging headache and pain she felt, she bent her knees and hugged it as her tears increased and poured out of her eyes like a fountain.

After few minutes of letting the pain out like a volcano eruption, she wiped her tears with her palm and stood up from the bed before dragging her legs towards the mirror.

Her eyes were damned red and puffy, her scar had few bruises on it making it look more uglier than it was before, unzipping her gown, she let her brown dirty gown fall to the floor as she turned around making her back face the mirror.

The cuts and bruises around it were too much than any other part of her body.

It was as a result of the fact that she fell on her back while rolling down the stairs.

Taking a deep breath to calm herself, she grabbed her hoodie which was laying on the bed and put it on. No, staying in America, especially in this same home she was staying in would only bring back bad memories.

She turned around and walked towards the bed before bending down a little and deeping her hands under the bed, immediately she did, she pulled out a huge brown box which had no opening whatsoever.

That was the savings she had for many years now, she never dared to open it neither had she used it even once because she was waiting for the best time to use it and now was the best time she could think of.

she would be back but the next time she comes back, she wouldn't be like how she is now, at that time, her enemies would be licking her heels and begging for mercy while she stumped them with her heels!!!

~FIVE YEARS LATER~

Immediately the airplane landed at the airport, it didn't take up to three minutes before the long white beautiful door of the jet was pushed open and people began to walk out of the airplane one after the other.

When everyone were out of the airplane, nine people who were dressed in all black except from a woman who was dressed up in a white beautiful gown stopping below her knees.

She stood in the middle of her eight bodyguards as they walked out of the airplane graciously.

"Ma'am Adrianna, the mansion has been prepared as per your order"A bodyguard muttered professionally with a small bow.

Adrianna didn’t reply, as she tied up her shoulder- length dark hair. Her fair skin and sharp, pert nose, coupled with her rosy lips and graceful figure, made her a beautiful sight at the airport as people couldn't help but admire her gorgeous appearance.

Her flawless skin and face was just a sight to behold.

"Oh...okay"Adrianna muttered, her voice had changed in just a matter of five years, it is like a melodious voice that could draw anyone to it.

"Miss Adrianna, according to my investigations, I have just found out that your stepsister Jenni and Gray are about to get married tomorrow"Gideon, one of her guards said.

"Ohhh?, That's good then"Adrianna muttered as a devilish smile appeared on her gorgeous face.

"Then they will have no other choice but to invite me to give my blessing in that wonderful day"Adrianna thought Inwardly as her smile gradually turned into an evil smirk.

Suddenly, three white and well upgraded spacious cars could be seen driving into the airport attracting everyone's attention to it.

It packed a few metres away from Adrianna before two more bodyguards Walked out of the car before bowing at her and creating space for Adrianna to enter the car.

Immediately she entered the car and had sat down comfortably while enjoying the cool air being produced from the Air conditioner, her phone began to ring and she picked up the phone only to see the initials written in a bold letter in her phone screen

Adrianna chuckled darkly upon seeing that, she hadn't informed her dad, no, ex-dad that she was coming back to meet them and the so called 'bethrothed' couples, she wanted to give them a big and shocking surprise.

She had been ignoring his calls for five years now but she didn't break the sim. She just enjoyed seeing the messages he do send to her sometimes.

As she thought so, her phone beeped and a message showed on the top of her screen.

To spark up more fun, she put on a dark shade of sunglass before approaching the door and when she was close enough to the door she raised up her hand to hack into the security system but she ended up stopping her movement because the door clicked open....

Gray whose Vision was a little hazy after sleeping for a long while, blinked his eyes a few more times before his vision cleared as he turbed—and his eyes lit up!
