"Akshita, get up now, it's late.. " somebody knocked on the door. " Akshita, come on! it's late and we have to do a lot of stuff before the function tonight! " the knock got a little louder this time.

Akshita got up and rubbed her eyes. she went to the door and opened it.

" Riya? what are you doing here? " she said sleepy.

" wake up sleepyhead! we're going out. " she said knocking on her skull.

" ahh.... where? I don't wanna go anywhere! just excuse me! " she said.

" oh god! this girl! " said Riya and came in "your husband called me yesterday night and apologized. he said that he would make it upto me for not coming yesterday to the dinner date. he said he would give us a treat in CCD! " exclaimed Riya.

Akshita's all sleep flew.

" wh... where? " she stammered

" CCD! " Riya said "what's wrong with you? get up now okay? " she said.

Akshita looked at the time, it was 6:30. 'he told me to come at 5 . he must've been gone waiting till now but still, I cant risk my marriage! ' Akshita thought to herself.

" umm.. Riya, why CCD? you know I saw an even better restaurant at the... " Akshita was trying to ignore the CCD plan but Riya cut her out in her words.

" just... what is wrong with you? if we go dinner now, it will be late for the function! we'll go to that cafe have a cup of coffee and then come back, plus it's the only cafe this close to the hotel. it wil just take an hour. we will be back around 8 pm, then you can have your make up done and get married. " said Riya.

Akshita had no choice but to listen to her. she was right. the function could not be delayed according to the family priest.

" just give me five minutes, I'll get ready. " said Akshita.

" okay, " Said Riya and went out of the room. " we'll be waiting at the gates for you come quickly. "

Akshita got herself dressed down into a black sleeveless plain dress and she just kept her hairs natural and open. applied some gloss and went downstairs to join all the people.

' I hope that he is gone by now, I don't want to imagine what could happen if Siddhant said pr did something stupid. ' she thought to herself.

the tension could be seen in her eyes.

"what's wrong with you? " Rehan noticed her tensioned face and asked Akshita.

Akshita got startled " huh? " she said. " nothing.. I'm.. I'm fine. "

Riya was seated besides Dhruv and Dhruv was driving, while Akshita and Rehan both were seated at the back of the car.

" you seem worried about something. " he asked.

" it's nothing like that, I'm fine.. I'm completely fine. " she said. she was in a way trying to establish it to herself rather than to Rehan.

And so, after five minutes of drive all four of them reached the cafe CCD..

' I clearly remember I told her to meet me at sharp 5pm here, it's like so much time past that where is she? why isn't she here yet. ' Siddhant looked at his watch and kept thinking.

it was 2hrs since he was waiting. he had already ordered 7-8 cups of coffee but there was no sign of Akshita anywhere.

' I guess I'll have to go to her room again and talk to her for ditching me like this here. ' he thought to himself.

" sir, it's pat two hours now, your companion is still not here yet. we really need this table. " said a waiter politely.

" do you really talk to your customers like this? " Siddhant got furious listening to him.

" no, sir.. but can you please shift to the singles' table there, we are short on tables for two. "

"yeah yeah whatever.. but when my companion comes be sure to give me the table immediately. " he said warning. somewhere inside Siddhant also knew that Akshita won't come but st he didn't want to loose a little amount of pride he still had in the cafe where he was waiting.

'this is just so weird. not a single girl in my whole f-ing life has stood me up like this... gosh, shit! what kind of a girl you are Akshita? ' he thought while moving to another table.

just then Akshita walked inside the cafe with her sister and Rehan.

her sister was holding Dhruv's arms and so to look good in front of them, Akshita willingly made a move and grabbed Rehan's arms and started to walk.

Rehan looked surprised at her move.

" we need to look like a cute couple. " she pouted at him and winked " hubby! "

Rehan could not believe it was the same Akshita who was always like a tigress in front of him. and when she winked at him, for a moment he completely forgot what arrangements they had between both of them and had a sudden urge to hold her and kiss her.

" you always surprise me with your act. " he whispered in her ears.

"huh? " Akshita didn't hear him properly.

" nothin'" he said.

Akshita looked up to take a look at the whole cafe. just then she spotted Siddhant at the corner sitting and looking at her with his dense eyes. for a moment she immediately took her eyes off him as if she didn't see him staring at her at all but then yet again she looked in his direction, he was still eye locked with her.

Akshita sighed and sat on the table for four allotted to all of them Riya and Dhruv sat next to each other so did Akshita and Rehan.

' what is he doing here till now? didn't he get it when I didn't show up till 5:30 that I won't come? what the hell? and what's with that look of his? it's not my fault for not showing up! he's just a stranger to me.! 'Akshita tried to calm herself down.

'could the guy sitting with her be..... her boyfriend? (scoffs) so, he was the reason why she was reluctant to my charms? ' Siddhant thought.

" Akshita let's post this moment on out social wall what say? " Asked Riya.

"okay! " Akshita said with a pretentious smile.

while Riya was holding the selfie stick she commanded both Akshita band Rehan to closer and look more intimate with each other.

Rehan wrapped Akshita in his arm and pulled her more closer to him. Akshita looked at him a little embarrassed.

"you think only you can pull up the cute couple act? " he whispered in her ears.

" yeah, that would be nice... " Riya said and clicked the pictures.

Siddhant could not bear this scene of Akshita being in someone else's arms and acting happy about it. he punched the table once with his fists. the waiter passing by his table got startled for a bit.

' damn it! why am I so furious about all this? ' he thought

Akshita sneakily had a seconds glance of Siddhant's expression as she could not resist the temptation to look at him. She could make out that he was actually furious about all this.

the moment she looked at him her eyes locked with Siddhant just for a milli-second but he looked at her looking at him.

' is she trying to make me jealous? why is she looking at me now? oh... I get it, my presence is making her embarrassed huh? but I won't leave until she leaves! ' he thought to himself and gulped the hot coffee kept on his table in one gulp.

" waiter, I need a refill here! " he commanded the waiter for another coffee.

'why the hell is he still here? why can't he just get out? can't he see I am with someone else? ' Akshita thought.

"Let's take some more lovey dovey pictures what say? " said Riya.

"sure! " said Rehan.

this time when Rehan pulled her closer on his arms Akshita kissed his cheeks posing happily for the camera.

Rehan was startled for a bit. Siddhant took his eyes off them it was like he could not bear the scene any further.

' good, watch me with him and get over me! just get out of this cafe and never show up in my life. ' Akshita thought.

' why is she suddenly getting so intimate? is she really herself today or is she on some sort of drugs? ' Rehan thought.

" omg, this pose is just perfect! " exclaimed Riya and clicked the shutter five to six times in the same pose.

'why didn't she tell me when I was approaching her that she already has a boyfriend? ( scoffs) you're a lucky dude (he was talking about Rehan) because we both doesn't live here... if you would have been in my city I would have snatched this girl from you! you lucky bastard! ' Siddhant thought and gulped down his another set of coffee. ' but I need to talk to her... how? I'm leaving in an hour, how can I bloody get a private time with her? '
