I woke up. I opened my eyes and saw my rooms ceiling. I pushed my sheets off of me and got out of bed turned my head and looked at my mirror.

I said, "****."

I opened my drawer got my clothes and headed for the bathroom. I got was unlucky because my mom beat me to the shower. I sighed and pound on the door.

I say ,"Can you hurry up in there mom."

"I just got here Cody. Just wait 10  minutes."

"Fine.", I said.

So I just went back to the room got on my bed and got my phone. I look through social media and see that my friend went to a party that she was talking about.

I texted her when I was done and asked, "Did you enjoy the party Z." 

Z texted," It was nice. I saw Alice there."

"What did you do?" 

"I went over to her and started talking."

"I managed to find out that she likes me."

"Nice, you going to hit that."

"Of course I am. You know I like her don't you."

"Cody I'm out of the shower!", Shouted my Mom.

"OK mom I will be in soon."

I texted, "Have to go Z. See you soon."

I got out of my bed, picked up my clothes and went to the shower. I got my phone and put on some music and just start undressing. When I took off my shirt a mark of a wing was on the left side of my back. It reached from my shoulder all the way down my butt. I just sigh and got inside of the shower. I just stop thinking, close my eyes, and listen to the music. I am halfway done with my shower when I hear a pounding sound.

Someone said, "Come on Cody."

I said, "I will be done soon Dad."

Dad said, "Just make sure to be gone in 8 minutes."

I said, "Ok."

I start rushing and then got out in 3 minutes. I put my clothes on, and when I put on my shirt I looked at the mirror again. When I look at my back again this time the wing looked like it was  popping out. I looked at it then again at my face in the mirror in shock.

I said, "What the ****".

I picked up my phone to takek a picture and then I saw the time. I rushef to put on my clothes. I ran out and go to the kitchen to eat. On the way there I passed the laundry room, and I tossed my clothes in a hamper.

"Hey Mom", I said when I entered the kitchen.

"Hey sweety. Ready for the big day?"

"I don't know. Probably not, but here it is."

"Well that's true. Want anything to eat before you go?"

"Na. I will get something either on the way or I will get something when I am there."

"Ok sweety have a good day."

"Bye Mom."

I was leaving the house and was about to grab my keys for my car, but I decided to take the bus so I could talk with Z. It's a 10 minute walk to get to the bus stop, and it will arrive in 8 minutes. So I grabbed my bag, set my music, put on my earbuds, and started running.

I passed the store on my way and was tempted to stop for a snack, but decided not to or else I would have missed the bus. I was turning the corner, and when I do I see Z standing at the bus stop.

Then something flew past me. I ducked as fast as I could and looked at what was shot at me. It landed on the street a  couple steps behind me. From what I could tell it was a tranquilizer dart.

I groand and said, "****, not this again."

I looked back at were the shot was taken and saw it was from a guy with a sniper on the roof. I sighed got up from the ground and started running. While I was running I put my earbuds away in one of my  bag's pockets, and I put my phone in my right pants pocket. I was almost at the bus stop when I heared someone from behind me shot a gun. I turned around to see who it was that shot the gun. The tranq was inches from my face.

At that moment I said to the agents, "Come on guy's this early. Really?"

Then as the dart was about to hit me and knock me out. I looked at it and sighed, and then the dart went past me. The agent in front of me ,which I started to call John, let out a grunt of frustration. All I did was just flip him off and started running to a wall that was in the direction of the destination.

John said, "Someone stop him before he..." 

Before he could even finish that sentence I was already on the other side of the wall. After I had gone past 10 walls I pulled out my phone and called Z.

I said, " Yo Z."

Z said, "Yeah."

"I think that I am going to be late."

"Why?"

"The people are after me again."

"So it's a code indigo."

"Really why do you have to have a code for everything that happens to me."

"Because it is fun to name them and because of your reactions."

"Sometimes I wish I never told you my secret."

"Well that doesn't matter now. Were you entering from."

"Probably the back entrance."

"Well good luck. Also don't forget to check the map and your schedule."

"Thanks, Z. See you later."

"OK bye, Cody."

I hung up and put my phone in my pocket. I then grabbed my bag and open the biggest zipper. I pulled out a binder and opened it to the beginning. I took out the first two pages. Then I closed the binder and put it away in my bag again. I put it back on and started running again.

I looked at my schedule and I read were I was supposed to go. Then I looked at the map and saw that with the direction I was heading that it was the best way for me to be going. So I folded both papers and put away the map in my left pants pocket and my schedule in my right with my phone.

As soon as they were in my pocket I looked up, and just in time to see myself falling down a ditch. I fell head first down the ditch, and got almost everything I had wet. I managed to save my bag by throwing it to the other side of the ditch. I cursed and got up. I ran up the dirt slope to get out of the ditch.

When I did managed to get out I see that the bus that Z is on just pass by me. I see Z in the window and I am sure that Z got a glimpse of me too. As soon as I am sure that they are gone I picked up my bag and started running again. Thanks to me being able to run through anything, that I knew of back then, I was able to dry myself as I ran. I took out my phone from my pocket, which wasn't that wet because I fell on the left side if my back, and at that moment I remembered that I had important papers in my pockets.

I cursed again and toom out the papers. They were soggy and wet, but luckily for me I was still able to read the room numbers I needed to get to. The major problem was that the map was all soggy and completely unreadable. Luckily I looked at the map before it got destroyed. So I kept on running hoping that there will be a map in my first destination. I looked at my watch and see that if I keep on running then I might arrive on time.

I'm 3 houses away when I feel a slight pain on the left side of my back. I stop and touch my back and feel a feather then a wing.

I said to myself, "Please not know."

I triped and fell on my right side. I learned early on that if I fell on my left side while the wing was out I would feel so much pain that I would almost pass out, and sometimes I did. So I just laid there and tried to meditate through the pain. I learned that if I concentrate, I could make the wing turn back into being a birthmark.

It took me about 6 minutes for my wing to go small enough for me to be able to get up and start running. Thanks to that I was most definetly going to be late. As soon as I got up I heard a bell ring and realised that I had 5 minutes to get there. So I grabbed my bag take a deep breath and ran like hell. I passed my final wall and heared the last bell ring.

"Shit please not on the first day." ,I said.

At that moment I heard a wierd sound come from the front of the facility. Then a couple gun shots. They sounded like they came from a pistol. Then you heard a loud alarm go off.

"This is a code red. I repeat this a code red." ,said someone from a speaker.

I said as I ran, "Please let this not be about me."

Which it obviously was about me, but not in the way that I thought it was. So I kept on running and faced through a wall to get into the room I wanted to get into. Luckily for me people were to worried about the announcement to have noticed me enter through the wall.

When you entered you noticed that people were staking tables and chairs to block the only entrence to the room. You deside to help them so you put your bag down with the other ones and lift up a desk.

In total it took us 5 minutes to finish the barricade. When you were don you helped other people set up what is left into a fort just incase the people outside manage to enter the room. That takes you 3 minutes because some people had already started. So everyone goes behind the barricade when it is done, and some start to calm done while others start to, quietly, panic.

Then someone who looked like an instucter said to everyone, "What an interesting way to start your senior year of high school. Hopefully the people with guns don't make it this far and are cout."

Every started to calm down thanks to what he said. Well everyone except you because you somehow knew that they would make it all the way to the back of the school. Then as if right on cue you heard the wierd sound from earlier. You turned your head to see what was making that noise and you find, to your utter shock, that somehow there was a portal opening in thin air.

As soon as it was open I was blinded by light and a girl jumped through it. Then something jumped through it. When you looked you could be the figure of a female. Not any female one with an army uniform. Not a US military uniform though. She coverd up a good portion of the light when she was jumping through. Which my eyes quickly adjusted to. Then I got a second surprise. The girl had a right wing on the backside of her body.
