“Hello, so you are Theo? Nice to meet you. My uncle have told me alot about you.” Maki said extending his hand towards Theo, who was two years younger than him, who was 14.

Theo, a small cute boy with long black hair and red eyes peeked from behind his father, Swani,as Maki awaited his response.  Theo’s large scar on his neck peeked Maki’s interest but he never asked about it.

“Oh... Sorry...Nice to meet you too. ” Theo said softly, still hiding behind his dad.

“You don't have to be shy around me.” Maki said as he ran up to him and shaking his hand before running of pulling Theo behind him.

“I hope they both get along.” said Swani worried.

“They will.” Alred, Maki's uncle said waving at Maki.

Maki smiled and then continued to talk and play with Theo. Both of them get along well together and Theo quickly opened up to Maki but a f w days later when he woke up and ran outside to find Maki, he wasn't there. When Theo asked his dad, he said that Maki and Alred had to leave because of important business. Theo was angry at Maki for leaving without telling him but he thought that someday they will meet again.

Theo slowly opened his eyes and feeling gruggy he muttered,“A...dream?”

Theo looked at his phone and hurrily took a bath , got dressed and taking his bag, ran out the door.

“ I'm going to be late!” he thought he rushed inside a Animal shelter.

He flied through the door and was suprised to see the shelter was in a mess. The draws was ransacked and the boss was no where to be seen. He ran in the next room to see a tall guy with long white hair and purple eyes that reminded him of Maki had just finished talking to his boss. The guy turned around and upon seeing Theo, asked ,“Theo?”

Theo jolted when he heard his voice and stared at him.

“Is that really you? You look so different.” Maki said looking at Theo.

Theo's hair was no longer long like how it was when he was a kid and he was more handsome than cute and even the scar had changed. It was larger.

Theo pulled out a book out of his bag and began writing something down. Then he ran to the guy who the guy who claims to be Maki and showed him it. It read,“Yes, it is me. Where did you go all those years ago. I was waiting for you to come back.”

Maki read it and then stopped. He seemed to stare for a while before saying,“ It's nothing.” and clenched his fist changing the topic.

“So do you work here?” Maki asked curious.

Theo nodded.

“Then do you know what happened here?” Maki asked.

Takes a couple minutes to look around and then Theo wrote,“ A robbery it looks like.”

“Yeah it does.” Maki answered as he stared at Theo looking like he expected more from him.

“Maki looks very different. ”

“He used to have short hair back then.” Theo was lost in thought.

Theo realized how awkward it was and scribbled quickly on a new piece of paper from the same book, “What are you doing here? Are you a detective?”

Theo ment it as a joke but when Maki answered,“Yes” he looked at Maki suprised.

Maki seeing Theo’s reaction asked,“Did you think I wasn't?”

“Yes, a little.” Theo replied

Maki looked around the animal shelter. “No signs of break in ” He thought. Then he looked at the paper scattered on the floor. One was a ripped piece of paper that had,“He takes care of his animals well. Especially the dog.” written on it and took a picture of it before I put it in a clear plastic bag. Then he picked up one of the other papers on the floor and it seem to be Nato, the animal shelter owner or Theo boss work.

“What nice handwriting.” Maki thought as he placed back the paper in it's original position.

Nato entered the room leaving the animals alone.

“Sir do you have any dogs in the shelter right now?” Maki asked

“No,all of them was adopted yesterday morning.” Nato replied.

Then he turned back to  Nato and said,“Anyways, sir, may I ask who have the keys to this place?”

“ I believe it is only two people other than me -Theo and my grandson, Daiki.” Nato answered

“ Have your granson ever been here?” Maki asked

“No,....never. I always ask him to come over and check it out but he keeps saying no.” Nato said sadly.

“Did you ever told him the location of this place?” Maki asked.

“Yes, I did. Alot of times actually.” he answered.

“Oh yeah, I wanted to ask what happened to the front door?” Maki asked

“Oh, that. The door was squeaking when I got this place so I tried to fix it but it made it worse and  you know that first hand.” Nato said

Maki recalled what had happened when he first arrived to the animal shelter. He was hurrying to the animal shelter because Nato had called him over because someone broke in and when Maki arrived, Maki quickly and gently pushed the door, not expecting the door to drag on the ground and he bounced into the door and fell on the floor.

“Ahem.... Anyways, can you call him over?” Maki asked nicely.

“Sure.” he answered, taking his phone from in his pocket.

After Nato called Daiki and told him to come over to the shop and they went to the first room where Daki was sitting down.

“ Oh, hello Theo, I am afraid we will not be have having work today” Nato said upon see Theo.

 “ I will stay so I could help you clean up the shop after the investigation” Theo replied.

A while later Daiki arrived and seeing the mess through the glass door, hurrily lift the door a little bit, opening it easily.
