Every people has its story. They share memories and fun times and it will never be forgotten. In this loving school, Sendo High School, we are to start the story of these five boys who are connected for a long time.

These five are the stars, the main characters of their love stories and being a supporting character in their friend’s story.

Rin Nagano, a competitive nerd from a rich business family, the second son and soon to take over their company after graduating a college.

Reo Chiba, a talkative guy and owns a private family’s hospital. The second to the last dumb and a great teaser in his group of friends but, he’s a nice guy.

Taki Miura, a cold-hearted guy whose family owns a famous gaming company. The only child of Miura family.

Kai Nishio, the basketball player and the happy-go-lucky guy. He always catches every girls’ attentions because of his looks and always gives a smile every day.

Kuro Nishio, a silent guy and a twin brother of Kai Nishio that loves anime. His classmates called him a ‘loser’ due to his appearance.

They may be different from each other but, the path they walk turns out they have the same destinations.

School hours ended in just a blink of the eyes but, the students of 3-B are sighing out of nowhere, leaving their classroom weakly and looking tired. Except for Rin Nagano, stood confidently, having a perfect score in math is a piece of cake for him. After all, he loves math because math involves in their business, counting and computing numbers, right?

“Guys, I’m ready for the treat. Who will be the lowest hmm?” He smirked.

In their ‘Bro Traditions’, if one of them got a lowest score, he will treat the rest of the group. Since they are all rich, money is nothing to them. They can buy whatever they want. Taki Miura then, tapped Rin’s shoulder and compare Rin’s score to his.

“Confident, ay? I got 46” Taki said, and grab Rin’s answer sheet and walk to the blackboard, writing some equations. Rin softly chuckled and push his glasses.

“Math? It’s just a rocket of science”

“It’s easy for you to say that because you’re the smartest in here. See! I got 15.” Reo Chiba stomped in anger.  After seeing his score, he looked so miserable that he crumpled his paper and threw it in the trash bin. Kuro Nishio just smiled and softly laughed at Reo for being dumb.

“I’m 20 points ahead, Reo. God is on my side.” Kuro stated.

Reo began to roll his eyes on him as he crossed his arms. His twin brother, Kai Nishio began to laugh so hard that his voice just echoed the whole classroom. The four looked at him. His laugh slowly faded and began to scratch his nape, adverted their eye contacts at him.

“Yes! Kai will treat us!” Reo just remembered that Kai is not good in academics due to focusing his extracurricular, practicing basketball and he is at the state of elation. He just overjoyed himself that he is not dumb.

No.

Let me rephrase it. Someone is dumber than him.

“I know what you’re thinking, Reo. But you know, my score is 17.”

Silence filled the whole classroom and seconds later, Kai laughed and approached Reo.

“I know we don’t like this but, it’s time for Kai to shine”

“No, Kuro, no!” Rin screamed.

His twin brother, Kuro, turned on his phone and played Kai’s jam, The Careless Whisper. He began with a body roll and started to twerk a lot and wiggle himself on the floor. His friends face slapped after seeing his victory dance. Though Kai is not a good dancer but still, they remained silence as a sign of respect.

“1,2,3 sing” They said in unison and started to sing the chorus part, except for Reo.

The jam ended like there’s nothing happened. Kai Nishio is one of popular students in Sendo High but, this guy doesn’t give a damn. He doesn’t mind and doesn’t even care that he’s weird like his twin brother. That’s why, he doesn’t have a girlfriend yet.

“You’re not good in academics but, your score is higher than mine. How can that be?”

“My twin brother helped me” Kuro’s eyebrows narrowed after hearing Kai’s words.

“Wow, so you’re still listening to me last night huh? I’m having a hard time teaching you, dude. You suddenly slept and only studied 1/8 of a lesson.” Kai then laughed.

“I’m tired because of my training but my ears will never get tired of listening to you blabbering around. Just heard last night, you kept on cursing me. Am I right?”

“No comment….”

“I guess; I’ll treat you guys a cheap candy each” Reo felt defeated for having a low score. He must do his best next time to make sure Kai will treat next time, not him.

“Tsk. Tsk. Reo Chiba, how dare you treat us a candy. Whether you treat us a pack of it, it’s useless. We will not be going to enjoy it. Are you being ungenerous?” Taki frowned.

“T-taki, sorry…I’m broke” But then, Taki began to laugh.

“Pfft! Is it because of your ‘sweetie’?”

“Hey, how did you know our call sign?!”

“We are your bros obviously, there is nothing to hide, right? You know what, you’re giving her everything she wants and I know you already know from the very beginning that she is just chasing you because of money. You’re being stupid and it pisses me off” He said and threw a chalk to Reo. It hits his head and Taki chuckled.

“Uhh… She’s my first girlfriend and just… appreciate it, guys. Please be proud of me.” Reo begged.

“Stupid Reo has his first girlfriend but…. A gold digger!!!” Reo screamed and ran towards Taki and did a fist-bump with him.

“That is a nightmare” Taki commented

“It is!” Rin laughed.

A sweet ringtone came from Reo’s smartphone. Someone called him and of course, it is his girlfriend. They were having sweet talks with his ‘sweetie’ while Rin and Taki are imitating their dialogues with matching disgusting expressions. The call ended and began to keep his phone in his pocket. Then, he ran towards them and slaps their heads lightly.

“Promise. I’ll treat you all next week. I have an upcoming date today.” Rin sighed and said,

“Fine. It’s fixed.”

This is just an introduction but, everyone’s story begins now.

**AUTHOR'S NOTE: Hey readers! Too long, aye? I apologized for that because words keeps flashing in my minds. Sentences pops in my brain and I didn't lost in words and keep on typing. I think I didn't amaze you to my first chapter but, try reading it five chapters or more (?). **

Reo Chiba is having a blissful moment. He walks slowly as he gives a glimpse at the skies above him, seeing the flock of birds are flying to the west. The lights are starting to shine the large city like it never sleeps for a one night. Just for this day, it is a special day for him. After getting a phone call from his girlfriend, the butterflies are having a flight around his stomach. He will be having a date with his sweetie and that would be…. Sweet? Hmmm okay, let’s find out.

He already noticed from the beginning of his walk that his friend, Kuro Nishio is walking with him at the same route. It bothers him the most that making himself glares at Kuro and began to talk.

“Hey, are you planning to ruin our date with my sweetie? Shoo shoo! Go away!”

“I have some important stuffs to do. You know, anime business.”

“Tsk. Whatever”

Let’s have the introduction. A talkative guy and a great teaser, Reo Chiba. No one in his school has a crush on him. In his whole high school life, he hasn’t received some confessions, love letters and chocolates during valentines. In conclusion, he’s not popular in girls after all.

If you’re going to describe his appearance, Reo is a fair-skinned young male, with neck length blonde hair and orange eyes. He has 181 cm height, but being the tallest in his class is his asset. He always easily gets call by his teacher and always got a wrong answer. That’s why, his nickname is ‘no-good Chiba’.

Being dumb is nothing for him because the most important is someone is dumber than him. He always thought about it. Though he is dumb, he’s an independent child and a mama’s boy that his little sister aged six, got jealous of him.

Chiba family are the family of medicine that both his parents are doctors and owns a private hospital. His eldest sister is a skillful surgeon always encourages him to become one too. We all know that he is a no-good but, Reo wants to become a cardiothoracic surgeon. Amazing, right? He keeps imagining himself that he is at the OR and did some cool poses while operating.

“Are you planning to grow your hair longer? You look like an emo boy now.”

“I don’t want to cut my hair.” Reo chuckled at his answer.

“That’s why you’re always called a loser. Everyone is comparing you and Kai. You know Kai… He’s a good-looking guy but not to mention he’s popular with girls since he’s a basketball player too.”

“I don’t want to become popular. It’s tiresome.” He shrugged.

“What? It’s a great feeling to become popular. Everyone will know you.”

“Since when did you become popular, Reo?” He paused and the silence filled between them. Kuro killed the vibe as he shot an offensive question. It quickly pursed his heart. Reo cleared his throat and looked around, acting like he didn’t hear Kuro. He leaned closer to Kuro and whispered.

“U-uhh… You should change your appearance, Kuro. I haven’t seen your eyes in a while because of your hair. If I’m going to judge…”

“You are more handsome than your twin brother, dude. Shhhh… Don’t tell Kai about this” The compliment made Kuro smile that he lightly slapped Reo’s back.

“I guess it’s true. I’m more handsome than Kai.”

“If it is then, cut your hair now. You want me to cut your hair?” He creepily suggests. Kuro looks at him and pushes him far from him.

“No way, dude! You will ruin my hair. Remember, when you gave Rin a haircut? It is worse than I thought. He looks like a guy did a chemo therapy!”

Reo burst into laughter while remembering those times. It was Taki’s fault for sticking a chewy bubblegum on Rin’s hair. Reo cuts it but it was getting worse that in the end, he just shaved his hair. Rin didn’t go to school for two weeks due to being bald back then.

In the middle of their conversation, Reo caught something in his bare two eyes. He saw his girlfriend together with a stranger guy at the sky walk fifteen meters away from them. The two stopped and looked closely.

“The heck dude. She’s meeting another guy” Kuro commented still, with his expressionless face.

“We must have mistaken someone” Reo weakly laughed at him.

“You sure about that? Look closely” He pointed.

His girlfriend is talking to a guy. Well, it is just normal to talk to someone if you don’t put some issues about it.

“There’s nothing wrong—” His sentence got cut off after seeing his girlfriend made a move. She suddenly wrapped her arms around him and they both leaned closer. They were about to kiss but then, Reo ran so fast, leaving Kuro alone. He jumped between them and forcedly pushed the guy away.

“Are trying to steal my girl?” He calmed himself.

“Are you in a relationship, Yui?!” The guy yelled.

“W-what? No!” He quickly looked at his girlfriend behind him and began to lose his words.

“Sweetie?” His mood went down and started to feel itchy inside of him.

“Hey man, she’s my girlfriend!”

“No! She is MY girlfriend!”

“Yui, tell me he’s joking.” Yui bit her lower lip and pushed Reo away from him. She ran towards the guy and clings to his arm.

“….. I don’t even know him, darling” She sweetly said and the two left.

Reo’s mind is still buffering about the situation he is right now. It was kind of painful for him that his girlfriend just pulled an act and broke up with him all of a sudden and indirectly. That was the feeling of betrayal after you truly trust someone. She may be a gold digger, but he likes her. He stared at the two until they disappeared in his sight. He slowly clenched his hands into fist. The tears came out and flowed down on his cheeks. The sun was already sets and it describes his love for her. The bright colors faded and the darkness started to grow.

After the laughter, there is always a sadness.

“What a nightmare.” He murmured.

Kuro Nishio looked above and witnessed the situation where Reo at. Reo cried silently but, Kuro decided to leave him alone. It would be embarrassing for Reo to be comforted by his friend. So, Kuro continued to walk and went to a book store. He may look like a bookworm due to his appearance but, he is not. He’s just buying an anime magazine. He bought it and started to count his allowance in his mind. He’s a good saver, saving money for his anime collections.

The introduction of his appearance, Kuro has a grayish hair with several locks of it reaching past his shoulder. His bangs are covering his blue eyes and his two align moles below his right eye. His nose is almost perfect and has a kissable lip yet, pale. Kuro’s body is as stiff as a rock but also, has a sensitive skin. If you’re going to slap his arm lightly, his skin will become reddish. Compare to his twin brother, Kai who is very active and has a lots of energy to work out, Kuro is very weak since he’s anemic and underweight. He always called by the students in his school as, ‘loser’ because he’s very different to Kai but, it doesn’t bother him at all if someone compare him to his twin brother. He believes he is more handsome than Kai if he has a guts to be stand out in front of a crowd.

On his way home, he noticed that clouds are covering the night sky. He alerted himself that it will rain soon. He doesn’t care about himself getting wet because he loves the pouring rain. According to him, you will conclude that when you see someone you like if it’s raining, that is the romantic moment that you want to treasure.

Suddenly, His phone rang; it is a text came from his mother.

“Kuro, where are you and Kai now? Your driver will get you there. I think it will rain soon.”

“I’m here in Tokyo street but It’s okay, mom. I’ll commute. You can get Kai in school”

He may be rich, but he doesn’t want to ride their luxurious car. He wanted to be a normal person, riding a bus.

PITTER PATTER PITTER PATTER

The rain suddenly pours. He sighed because he couldn’t make it at the bus stop but still, he walks like rain is his friend. Five minutes later, his body began to feel heavy. He coughs and started to catch a cold. He loves rain but he is not able to enjoy it since he owns a weak body.

But then,

……..

With just a blink of the eyes, the girl appears on his sight. She’s running towards a different direction of his and everything is in slow motion.

‘How could she be so beautiful?’ He thought of himself.

It is his first time seeing a girl who is beautiful in his own eyes. Kuro likes 2D girls in his games and in the anime series but, how can he be so attracted to a 3D girl? A slim, tall young woman that has thigh-length straight black hair locks framing her face and dull light purple eyes.

“Yamato Nadeshiko…” He stated as the girl passes at him. Her beauty if compared to that of a Yamato Nadeshiko, a woman who possess the ideal traits of a Japanese woman as well as the epitome of feminine beauty.

He gazes and starts to walk behind her. He got carried away by his emotions that his legs didn’t stop from walking. He wants to know her name but, he is too shy and afraid. What if the girl will run away from him?

Wait.

Is it too strange for him to walk behind her? Judging from his looks, he looks like a stalker now. But, anyways, he’s a protagonist that has no confident and just let him stick to what he is in the story though it’s odd.

A sudden bucket full of rain water fall from the second-story apartment and got hit his head and wet himself. He stopped and massages his head slowly. As he began to sneeze, the guy approaches him.

“I’m sorry. I’m sorry. Are you hurt?” He bowed many times.

“My head hurts lightly but it’s okay”

“You’re all wet. Come, let yourself warm at my apartment”

“It’s okay, sir. You don’t need to worry”

After the incident, the guy bowed again and went inside the apartment

He is so wet that he couldn’t see everything on his sight. He brushes up his hair and the light post above him started to flicker like it is his spotlight. Every people passes by stare at him and gossips started to spread everywhere.

“He’s handsome.” He heard a high school girl whispered to her friend. He then looked at them with his blue crystal eyes and the girls run away with hearts in their eyes. Then, he realized he just caught everyone’s attention. If only he didn’t brush up his hair. If only the light post didn’t flicker. He silently curses himself and brushes down his hair. Kuro was about to ran away but then, a guy approaches him.

“Excuse me. Excuse me sir. May I know your name?”

“…. Why? Who are you?” The guy showed his business card and gave it to Kuro. He then examined and looked at the guy.

“Oh I’m an employee from BNN Entertainment. We are looking for new models. If you’re interested, you can call that number on the business card, sir”

“I’m sorry but I’m not interested.” He frankly said.

“But, you’re a handsome young man!”

“I don’t want to become popular, sir”

“I-is that so? Well that’s bad. If you are going to apply this week, your salary will be times two.”

“Really?!” Kuro got shocked. He knew that he is rich but, he doesn’t want to ask his mom for some money just for his anime collections. He started to have split decisions. Well, it is a rare opportunity coming on his way. Do Kuro wants to grab it or not?

“I-i-”

“It’s okay if you’re undecided. You still have time to think

about it.”

“All right then, I’ll call you when the time is right, sir”

“Well then, I shall see you in the entertainment.” They bowed each other and finally, the guy walked away.

He read what’s in the card and began to murmur,

“Shall I try?”

……

“Ah! The girl”

Suddenly, he started to think of a girl he saw awhile ago. Kuro looked around, the girl is nowhere to be found. He sighed that he lost a chance to follow her. He will never forget her beauty and since it’s rainy day, he will treasure this moment and calls it ‘romantic’.
