...All black...all dark......

I was in space or in a cell or room I couldn't quite decipher. Suddenly, white smoke started to spread in the dark room...So smokey...So suffocating... I just wanna leave.. please I don't want to be here...I was kneeling there with smoke, darkness, and my voice.. nothing else...No one there for me... But, out of nowhere..I heard something...No... It's someone's painful cries...

...SOMEONE : ( crying ) Please don't...No ... Please don't... Leave me please...No!! Please don't kill me..!!...

Those cries continued and continued...Now it was only those screams filling this place with my throbbing heart... Then I heard someone is going to be killed ..."no..n-no..No!!!.. Don't... Don't kill him...!!!".....

I shouted... shouted my lungs out...but, no one is listening to me..I can't even move ... Please don't...the screams increased... it's so screeching loud...But, I want it to stop.. don't kill .. please... It just continued and my shouting increased too...just that, it was accompanied with my cries...My heart is paining.. please stop it ..."Stop it!!!"...With that, all went still...No voices... Nothing...I looked down...my hands resting on the floor beneath.. which I am not quite sure of as if I'm floating in air...But, wait... there's something wet...It seems like I could feel movements in my hands but, not when I needed...I raised my hands... Something is not right... It isn't true...My hands are covered with blood.."it can't be...No, I can't...NO!!!"

...AUTHOR'S POV...

...It's still early morning, to be exact it's 3:45 o'clock now...No one's up yet...Peacefully drowned in there slumber......

But the weather...Oh! it was far from peaceful...It was like the sky is mad...oh! so mad ... Wind flowing everywhere like it want to slice every object into two...so fierce...that it's striking everything with those fiery weapon like electric bolts...

In all this, there was a sleeping figure...seems like weather is affecting him...or is it something else...???

SOMEONE : No!!! (panting)..no..I can't do this, no...I can't ...I can't..

After few minutes I came to my senses... It felt like it was so real... But, no, whenever I wake up from sleep, it's always this horrible nightmare haunting me...Not just one or two times...It had been almost one month that I'm suffering from these nightmares...(sigh.)...I looked at the time it was still early morning...So I slept again...But still the tension there in my mind...

He slept with the hope of peaceful sleep which he got...

...It was 6:00 a.m....

...The new day has started to bloom, with bright sun rays peaking through the now fading clouds......

...The alarm clock started it's mission......

SOMEONE : (groaning) Ahh~... A little more sleep, please...

He started to approach for the alarm clock to off it and have some peace but ...the heck the phone started to ring too... there was an incoming call... Finally!... after turning off the alarm clock...he reached for phone and pick up the call...

Before he can talk...

SOMEONE 2 : Yah!!!... Jungkookah..!!! Wake up, or you'll be late for work...

JUNGKOOK : Yes...yes... I'm up.. I'll hang up then, Yoongi hyung.. I'll see you at work....

YOONGI : Ok!! See you at work then...And hopefully you do remember what was your part in the current project, right?

JUNGKOOK : Yes-yes I do remember now hang up otherwise I'll be late and dance on your head, gotta go, bye...

...JUNGKOOK'S POV...

While I was getting ready to go to my irritating yet so amazing work...Yeah it sometimes irritates me...but it's awesome so I got kind of used to the problems thrown at me while I was on it...

Huh!! why I have to sleep again...I could have just washed up...This clock..wait little so I can get to my workplace on time...Which can never happen... unlucky...nah, just it's too dreamy, I mean why would time stop for anyone and then me here a mere person....

...JUNGKOOK'S POV END...

...Soon after, Jungkook reached his office......

......Okay as you must be thinking where does he work..."come on we only know that he is living and work like any organism, give us more".........

...So here it is,...

Jungkook is 25 years old right now...A post graduate to be exact...Yes he is a doctor and also trying to pursue his dream, which is to help people.The reason behind it, is it that simple as that or something else...?

He works at the hospital...Well the hospital is kind of like an Alma Mater to him...why not, he studied here, read so many piles of books, made so many nighters just to get satisfied with his performance, and , oh well , how can we forget the practical classes he enjoyed and still thinks about, those were beautiful memories, and he will make new ones for sure....

He actually gave his post graduate examination long ago, almost 2 years...and he is working hard to get to know more about what he is doing, and well, love to do...

Now, now don't go like, "What about our kitty, our meow meow?"...We all will know about it soon , be patient sweeties'

...Hello sweeties' , this is my second story...yeah I know ' should have focused on one thing at a time'...but I wasn't able to take out the story plot from my mind, so here's the result...Hope you like it, and feel the emotions that I want to show you......

...AUTHOR'S POV...

Jungkook was running late. Yeah ofcourse he shouldn't be late for being a doctor, but he had a meeting before it, which is considered as there current project. And maybe a little bit of bloody night was responsible for it...

Anyways back to the topic, the current project is said to be very vital thing for them as to focus most of their time on it. Jungkook is also a member of this research force, which is why he is present in the room full of doctors from different departments to discuss the matter...

...What's the project you might ask......

Actually, there seems to be a disease coming, no it's already out there in the open harming one person and then another and another... there seems to be no stopage to this on-going system...As per the other disease in earlier days, this one also was not considered as one of the extreme danger... Only thought, that could pass through there mind was that it must be just some fever or any other common disease...

But the thought soon came to a stop when the danger started to increase, people from all over the world were getting infected...at this point the matter seemed serious... Extremely serious....Every scientists, doctors and researchers are helping in the process of making the medicine...But still after so long the process of making the medication is still on the track of progress...the product hasn't been out in the open protecting the people yet...the situation can be considered as miserable, life threatening...

First in the few days the symptoms observed were only considered as common like fever, headache, nauseous, cold...but after few days, according to the observation 2-4 days later the symptoms were much more serious it seemed...the people would have purple - black patches on there body, sometimes even rashes that kept the patient's eyes open, not even letting them feel the recovery, peace was a long lost coast here... Never have they imagined that they would have to see this with there own eyes...

...The bacterium after these many incidents was came to known as Dark quietus......

Though after many days of research they still couldn't do anything...but the condition wasn't that far-fetched... atleast not yet...Cause they found some ways to suppress the effect as much as possibly they can...It seemed to work ...

But it can't be always like that right...? ...One day the suppressor might not work and conditions might turn upside down...

But, right now all the research force couldn't contemplate on that...they could only hope... which would be big factor in there success... without hope of actually saving the life, atleast one person but safe and away from this danger, this thought was the only thing ...That is still helping them...

Dr. Kim : ( Seokjin / President of hospital ) As we all know what we are here for...so let's start the meeting right away...

Dr. Wang : (From ER department) The conditions are getting worse day by day ...The situation of ER department is not in good condition but they are trying...

Dr. Jeon : (From Neurology department) About the mentality of the patients...For the starting hours, the bacteria is not actually recognised to be in the patients body ...but the mentality...it seems complex...

Dr. JUNGKOOK : (From Department of Surgery ) What are you getting at Sunbaenim ...?... Are there any serious problems...?... Does that make any difference in the stage of infection...?

Dr. Jeon : It does make a difference but more than that their brain seems to be tortured... I don't know how to explain... It's like - their mind is getting a shock therapy...but the purpose is to kill them not to cure them...and this drastically affects patients progress in recovery... it's like there mind is already going through paralysis...Not even a chemical signal is going through to brain...╮(╯_╰)

Dr. JUNGKOOK : While other symptoms are similar to black death...still there are differences...As per the first person to get this illness, patient named Mr. Zhao, had been showing the symptoms after he was admitted in the hospital, but later continued with treatment, did not work, and as per observation the last stage seems to be where the dark blue black patches are found...and after few days, to be exact 3 days later he passed away...

Dr. Kim : blue-black spots can also be caused by other means... tearing or rupturing of the blood vessels can cause that too...?

Dr. JUNGKOOK : Yes it is possible, but later discovered the patient didn't get involved in any physical activities that would lead to this...and not only that, the spots are not only present at one particular place but many... it's like a viral infection... for example Ring worm...

Dr. Jeon : That's not something pleasant to hear...if this continues...

...(Silence in the room)...

Dr. Kim : What about the solution..? ...

Dr. JUNGKOOK : As per the results...for the Dark quietus we haven't found any kind of treatment yet...but the suppressor are being used in the meantime...And about the disease, there was a similar situation in Southern West region around 1870's , but we could only find the witnesses who could confirm the cause but there weren't any proof provided for any of the incidents... Maybe if we could know the herbs used previously...

...(After about 30 minutes)...

Dr. Kim : I want everyone to do there best...we might use the suppressor for now...but they can't last forever.....we have to find the main cause and the treatment for it...I hope everyone understands the situation and do their best...

Dr. Kim : okay..the meeting Is over for now...

...(While everyone was leaving, Jungkook stayed behind as well as Dr. Kim)...

Dr. Kim : What is it Jungkook...?..

Dr. JUNGKOOK : The topic is unusual for me to say...but do you think it is related to... Magic...

Dr. JUNGKOOK : The topic is unusual for me to say...but do you think it is related to... Magic...

Dr. Kim : It can be possible but we can't say yet ...we don't even have a proof to prove that it's related to any kind of magic...And the real problem if we prove it that it's related to magic...who will cure it...?...You know the condition well enough for me to tell...

Dr. JUNGKOOK : If situation leads to this ...we have to be ready otherwise it would lead to extinction of human kind and many other kinds oblivious to us...

Dr. Kim : Just hope for the best...

Dr. JUNGKOOK : Yeah... Anyways I'll take my leave then...and if you don't have any shift later ...come for the dinner at home hyung...

Dr. JIN : We'll see about that...now shoo ...go to your morning shift...

While leaving the meeting room he found Yoongi at the corridor infront of PICU dressed up in the scrub 🧑‍⚕️... Approaching him, he first took a glance inside the room and kept his hand on Yoongi's shoulder...

JUNGKOOK : Hey hyung... what happened...?...was it an emergency...you weren't in the meeting hall...

YOONGI : (Sigh)...Yeah..it was...the little one over there..Woo Jung-seok...A month since birth and in observation as it was premature birth...and seems like his heart is really weak...the condition was ok till yesterday when his breathing got all weak and heart was not pumping ideally... soon after he could get a operation but he was caught in pneumonia..And now, when it went little down we were able to operate... thanks to Namjoon hyung...huh(sigh)...

JUNGKOOK : It's been hard on the little one...(sigh)... It's been hard on you too ...get some rest bro...

YOONGI : Yeah sounds good...

JUNGKOOK : And I did asked about dinner, it's on me...see you soon then...

YOONGI : Wow...we are on it seems... gotta tell the others...

Hey guys Jungkook here, Yeah Yoongi hyung does get really emotional when it comes to children and animals...I don't know what it is ...but the only emotions that could be seen on his non expressive face are when you talk about kids...Oh! there was a time when he used to get really worked up being around the lil kids..."Even if I get married or not, I would never ever get involved with those little annoying brats." those were his words...but who knew the Universe and fate wanted something else...in the end, he ended up being in the Pediatrics department... funny yet emotional the incident was...(☆▽☆)

As for me I got into Surgery Department...it does get sometimes hectic standing or sitting concentrating on an operation for hours...but when you get to see those smiles on there faces it's all worth it...but it's not all flowers in this profession... there's no flowers in any profession except for the flower shop workers and related... Everyone has there own behind the story about how they actually got emotionally attached to that particular term...For instance Pediatrics for Yoongi hyung and Surgery for me...but no one actually tells you upfront when asked... it's their own experience...so they let it be to themselves... Others can't actually feel it the same way anyways...so why even bother to tell... yeah Yoongi hyung's words... but to some extent it's agreeable...I can't deny that...

As you see, Yoongi hyung is quite older than me...so we might be only colleagues... actually we were in the same University for completing our Medical degree, but he was already in third year while I was still a fresher...But how we got to know eachother and became this close it is still a mystery... like we got in the flow...like meeting eachother and then being friends...then b¡tching about everyone and no one...it was so refreshing at that point...it still is....(•ᴗ•)

But now, not only does we talk to ourselves... we've got more company.... Yeah, Seokjin hyung and Namjoon hyung...and got acquainted with many others of our own departments ... About Namjoon hyung, he is the doctor from Cardiology department assigned for the VIP ward in our hospital, he is really like a big brother, but when it comes to being a professor in the operation room it's gonna be hectic for you, take a note of this... Next up, Seokjin hyung, he is the director, someone would misunderstand him for his age, but as per the things I know, he got the position as few days ago his father retired from the position and he was assigned as the director of the hospital...But, don't think he got it for granted, absolutely not, if you were to see, he is a great leader and a person in himself... Okay, my chamber is here, gotta go...( ╹▽╹ )

...He was about to open the door to his chamber when......

THE MIC. : Surgery department, 2nd floor, code blue...

Jungkook couldn't stand still and ran for the operation room on the 2nd floor...as he arrived there he could see that everyone was still in operating room yet there was some commotion...he entered and could see that the doctor was performing CPR on the patient... thankfully the patient was back to normal breathing...

JUNGKOOK : I should get going now...

Dr. Yang : Yes Dr. Jeon...

As it was, unfortunately cause of the current situation... Jungkook couldn't grab hold of the cause to this disease...no one could...and he felt desperate yet devastated in this situation...after exiting the operation room where the said diseased person laid...he couldn't help but think about the disease that has caused mayhem...as per him the situation was due to magic but he still needed proof to prove it as mentioned....

But unfortunately, in the current world magic didn't existed...even if it were true they were hidden and only could be found in dark...The only traces of magic they could find were in the ancient manuscripts describing about the condition of that time...the time when the Great Emperor rose to it's peak of Lee Dynasty...Where the machines like fridge weren't imagined but created with different means...

But something drastic change occurred which led to the disappearance of those magical people, the magical land...and the vanishing of those unimaginable powers took place ...but what caused it ...was still a mystery...

It was said that it was because the goddess of that time known to be residing in mortal world was tormented which led to the chaos...

No trace was left behind...No one knew who was the goddess...who were those powerful and knowledgeable people...it all remained a mystery for the current generations to solve...yet they remain oblivious to themselves...

Maybe this was the nature's call to them to solve the mystery, to know about the deep secrets...but who will solve it, the magic has vanished...who will find it again it this barren land...in this devastated land of death...where the nature was in pain... everywhere mayhem...

While Jungkook reached his chamber, he could find patients waiting outside...so, he got started with his work, the thought of magic subsiding in his mind...

...The world has seen my inside...

...Yet they are oblivious of my presence...

...In this life, I was remembered as tormented...

...Yet no one was there to save me from drowning again...

...Drown in this mayhem...

...My soul needs the peace, yet do not get...

...I feel like someone who is burning in rage...
