Lop-Eared Omega[BL]

chapter 1

On a deserted highway at two in the morning, the black motorcycle was like a running black panther, roaring with speed from the end of the highway that merged with the starry sky. The sharp sound of tires screeching to a halt sliced through one’s eardrums as it stopped abruptly at a gas station.

The thick scent of alpha pheromones permeated the air. A gang of alphas on their motorbikes had stopped at the gas station; they had tall builds and muscled arms covered in steampunk gear and fancy english words. They leaned against the engines while holding cigarettes, looking provocatively at the uninvited guest who had stopped not too far away.

“Where did this rich kid come from?” the alpha who was wearing a sleeveless vest that exposed his abdominal muscles and deep tendon whistled softly at him.

This group of alphas could tell that this person was not to be messed with. That person’s black panther-Nordic Goddess 1800 was an ultra heavyweight high-horsepowered cruise bike produced in the states, 85% of the parts of which were built by hand; only 2500 were manufactured before it was sold out.

That man wore a pitch-black helmet, his entire body hidden under the rivet buckles of skintight clothes, with a slim figure and an especially alluring waist, making an alpha explode with scorching interest.

It was beneath alphas to wear protection guards, as they were strong enough to use their aggressively tough teeth and claws to protect the weak spot at the nape.

Despite wearing the securely tight protection neck-guard, it still could not prevent the slight trace of pheromones from leaking out the gap, the smell sweet and soft, like cotton candy mixed with half a spoon of milk sweetener, unintentionally teasing. In a split second of smelling this sweet and luscious scent, the alphas in the area had their blood boiling with passion.

The eyes of several alphas turned bloodshot from restraining their desire, like a pack of wolves staring at a little lamb who unhurriedly entered the surroundings in ignorance. If the greed in their expressions had a colour, a green light would emit from their eyes.

The one who arrived was unexpectedly an omega.

It was unbearable for alphas to endure the delicious natural fragrance of the omega right in front of them. The pure scent of the omega was like a white milk candy, uncontaminated with the ghost of an alpha’s scent, such a rare beautiful being that hadn’t been marked yet.

Yan Yi took off his helmet, his light-grey short hair ruffled gently in the breeze, and a stronger sweet scent instantly filled the whole gas station, masking the pungent odor of petrol.

Two velvety rabbit ears hung down between his head, his blood flow had been obstructed by the helmet. Yan Yi smoothed down his rabbit ears in distress and kneaded them for a while to ease the numbness.

He removed his tactical belt; the box of suppressant injections had long been emptied. The swaying red-hot internal sensation made Yan Yi fidgety, desperately in need of an alpha’s gentle pheromones to pacify him. The rabbit ears wanted to be caressed, and even the tightly concealed glands had started to restlessly and frantically secrete pheromones to attract bees and butterflies. Yan Yi’s body had begun to ache after being unsatisfied for so long, the pain of his body’s instinctual use irritating him. It required him to search for a suitable alpha to have intercourse with and to relieve his needs during his heat.

Yan Yi anxiously breathed in some fresh air, quietly whispering to the staff member beside him, “Fill it up.”

The staff member was an ordinary beta, insensitive to pheromones, but was stunned by this soft, gentle appearance and handsome face. Holding onto the oil gun, he didn’t know which button to press.

“Sorry, sorry,” the beta bowed, straightened the brim of his hat and controlled the oil gun.

Yan Yi leaned aside and nervously grasped his arm, while his slightly trembling hand fished out a lighter and cigarette from his pocket. He lifted his gaze to see a sign prohibiting open fire, then irritably put them back in his pocket.

An unmarked lop-eared rabbit omega in heat.

What an enticingly soft keyword, signifying him to become the most tender and tasty delicacy on an alpha’s plate, stripped of any piece of clothing wrapped around his body, slim ankles and wrists held down by a powerful predator and unable to move. Not only would the alpha enter him repeatedly, he would bite his neck glands, empty his load inside him to claim his possession and take this soft, pretty rabbit as his own. He would **** deep into his belly, eating until not a single waste was left. Even helpless tears, sweat or blood would be licked clean like delicacies.

Omegas were precious resources and property, and like thin ice on the surface of a lake, they would break into fragile pieces at the slightest touch.

An alpha with red-shot eyes panted roughly towards the others and approached Yan Yi. Among the group of alphas, he was the tallest and most handsome, with the zipper on his jacket pulled taut by his bulging muscles, revealing a ferocious lion tattoo on his skin.

“You’re so beautiful, little white bunny,” he was determined to release the highly concentrated pheromones on his glands that enveloped the omega in an oppressive manner. A rich, unrestrained scent overflowed from his breath. This was a second-grade gland differentiated lion alpha, surpassing Yan Yi in both gender and species food chain.

Most could only advance to the first-grade gland differentiation. Only a few elites had second-grade differentiated glands, bringing a stronger ability to its owner, and fostered the existence of a leader among the alphas.

The lion alpha was the leader of this group, and had never lost while preying at night; strong and powerful alphas had always been the object of admiration for vulnerable omegas. Moreover, perfect second-grade gland differentiated alphas only accounted for one percent of the total alpha population, all of them in various top industries with rare talents.

The lion alpha was confident in his charms and powerful pheromone pressure. He drooled with desire over this lovely lop-eared rabbit, wanting to penetrate him immediately, press onto his slender waist, pierce his entrance and mark him with his sharp teeth as a symbol of possession.

Yan Yi was already anxious during this heat period, and the sudden strong desirable scent of alpha pheromones surrounding him only made him suffer more, his veins were about to burst as heat rose to his rabbit ears. The bones in his body felt as though they were pierced by pervasive pheromones. Yan Yi became more exhausted while trying to resist the invasive pheromones, his lips almost flushed blood-red

The vulnerable little lop-eared rabbit retreated half a step.

The lion alpha smiled, reaching out a hand to Yan Yi, trying to remove the protection guard so he could take a deep whiff of the fragrance on his body.

The next moment, the icy muzzle of a Desert Eagle2 pressed against his forehead. The lion alpha jolted awake, smelling the faint stench of blood on this little rabbit. It seemed that he had just escaped from a fight.

Yan Yi held the gun with one hand, and said with a soft polite voice, “Xiansheng3, let me be alone for a while, will you?”

The Desert Eagle that weighed two kilograms seemed weightless in Yan Yi’s thin hand, not to mention the installation of a ten-inch muzzle and riflescope. A vulne rable omega unexpectedly equipped with such a violent pistol would make others can’t help but worry about him, wondering whether such a slender figure could withstand the powerful recoil of the gun.

The lion alpha’s face frosted over, “Do you know who I am? No one in the world dares to point a gun at me.”

Yan Yi was a little weak, like a dandelion blooming forcibly, the weak stem about to snap in the wind. He smiled, “Now there’s one, xiansheng, there’s a first time for everything.”

The noisy gas station abruptly fell silent, and the atmosphere froze. Several alphas who were leaning against the engines quietened and watched their arrogant boss get knocked down by a little lop-eared bunny.

When the fuel was filled, Yan Yi put on his helmet and stepped on the pitch-black motorcycle. The blinding reflection of the starlight from the radiator stabbed the alpha’s eyes, then a fog of gasoline was left behind as it roared away.

The lion alpha watched the little rabbit leaving in shock. When he glanced back through the windshield of his helmet, his eyes appeared gentle and gloomy, the light grey pupils stained with loneliness. Helpless like the last dandelion trembling on a bare flower stalk, one couldn’t help not to dote on him.

Who allowed this prickly little omega to feel wronged? He was in heat, it must be difficult without an alpha’s care.

Yan Yi followed along the highway and turned into a deserted field, passing through several resort rural farmyards. An old lady squatted at the edge of the narrow road, wrapped in a clean headscarf. The dark blue young girls’ skirt she wore had been washed and faded, but clean and ironed, and a purple chrysanthemum was pinned at her temples. She was a trendy little old omega lady driven here by foreign tourists.

To avoid the noise and smoke from disrupting the old lady, Yan Yi braked ten meters away from her. The old lady opened her eyes under frowning brows, sniffed the unctuous sweet smell in the air and complained, “The rabbit is always in heat, it’s inconvenient to not have an alpha to take care of you, have you caught your alpha yet?”

Yan Yi knitted his brows and smiled, the rabbit ears that were squeezed to his cheeks from the helmet covered his reddened cheeks. He replied softly, “I haven’t caught him yet, perhaps the flowers yesterday were not fresh, he didn’t like them.”

The old lady pouted her wrinkled lips angrily and took a handful of watered red roses from the flower basket beside her. She confidently advised Yan Yi, “Here, give it to him when you go back, then give him a warm kiss. That child would be enchanted to death by you.”

Yan Yi’s eyes were gentle, as if moved by the old lady’s poor advertisement. He picked out a rose from the bundle and put it in his front pocket, then took out ten yuan from his wallet and handed it to her. The old lady slowly took the money, folded it in half, and solemnly put it in her laced side pocket.

He was a regular visitor to the garden. Every time, he would go home right after doing what he needed to do, and he would bring a bunch of roses for that alpha.

However, roses were expensive. If he bought a bundle and watched them wither before tossing them in the trash, it was a little too wasteful for someone like Yan Yi who earned a fixed salary.

So he could only buy a stem.

It wouldn’t hurt too much to watch it wither in his pocket.

The black helmet covered Yan Yi’s pale face, light grey hair soaking with cold sweat, damp and plastered to his cheeks. Reluctantly, he put his motorcycle into the underground garage. When he entered the elevator, his body was already drenched in sweat.

By restraining himself with inhibitors as a “remedy” to quench his thirst during his heats, it made Yan Yi’s needs more violent each year. Like a mad beast bashing against a confined cage, wreaking havoc in Yan Yi’s body and crashing against every blood vessel in unbearable pain.

At first, Yan Yi could walk while leaning against the wall for support, but eventually he could only kneel down and instinctually approach the familiar alpha smell in the bedroom.

How he longed. How he longed for the owner of this powerful smell to touch him, just a little, no need for more. As long as the alpha was willing to touch him, to provide some soothing pheromones to soothe his pain.

His state weakened, as if he was like a bunny being fished out of water. Grasping onto the last trace of calm clarity, he stood in front of the bedroom door with the well-protected bright red rose between his fingers. Before he could knock on the door, strong alpha pheromones transmitted into Yan Yi’s glands, entangled with it was the cloying scent of an omega’s pheromones, cutting off Yan Yi’s last line of defense like a chainsaw.

A groan emitted from the bedroom, the omega inside panting lowly, accompanied by the muffled slaps of skin colliding repeatedly, “Jin- Jin ge…love4 me…”

The blood surging in his heart suddenly calmed, knowing this happened over and over again. It was not worth covering his eyes, yet he was still unable to get used to it. Yan Yi’s expression turned sullen and lonely, as the Desert Eagle in his hand pushed against the door.

He had the sensitive hearing ability of a lop-eared rabbit, even without looking, he could aim right at the omega’s head from behind the door.

The ear-piercing moans poured into Yan Yi’s soft rabbit ears. His hearing was too sharp, the smallest sound was like a blast of explosion in his ears, pulsing painfully in his eardrums. He put down his gun slowly, then pressed his forehead against the wooden door and slid down weakly before kneeling gently on the ground.

His eyes turned absent, his head splitting from the disordered entanglement of pheromones. He did not dare to compete for territory with Lu Shangjin’s selected prey, so all he could do was take out the rose from his pocket and inhale it deeply under his nose.

Mist blurred his eyes, while the soft rabbit ears trembled, and he wiped his tears.

“Jin ge.”

“Please love me too.”

chapter 2

pheromones would then slowly caress his back and soft rabbit ears, attentively taking care of this fragile little rabbit. Even if a rain of bullets and the flames of war erupted tomorrow, the emotional fluidity of romance would only be needed tonight.

That night was the most unforgettable moment in Yan Yi’s life. His alpha had marked him, and had personally put the ring on his finger, promising him with a deep and low voice next to his ear, “I will love you until my last breath, Yan Yan.”

In fact, when people grow up, they no longer take fairy tales seriously. No matter how affectionate a commitment is, it could not compare to the reality of having a cheque or a black card. In the end, not a single crumb of vigorous love and affection would be left, and one may not even have a single branch to perch on.

He still did not live as good as the life of Lu Shangjin’s new favourite omega.

Accompanying an emperor was like accompanying a tiger. It had been ten years, Lu Shangjin had abandoned the life of an outlaw and retired, leaving the world of war and chaos, and the lop-eared rabbit that followed him had also fallen out of favour.

Lu Shangjin was too powerful, able to arouse the envy and vigilance of alphas. An alpha who spent his life surrounded by flashing swords and knives no longer needed a strong omega. In contrast, a sweet and yielding omega was the preferable mate for someone as successful as him.

Yan Yi had tasted the heartlessness of Lu Shangjin.

He had pressed Yan Yi onto the operating table and surgically mended his glands, erasing any evidence of being marked. If Lu Shangjin wanted to break up with someone, he would not leave a single trace of himself on the other party.

But.

Yan Yi extinguished the cigarette. He kissed the ring on his finger with his eyes downcast.

“Jin ge, I’ll wait for you to have enough of your fun. When you turn back, I’ll always be here.”

After a stick of cigarette, the restless activity in the room still had not ended. The omega’s voice became hoarse, the initial pleasurable intimate sounds gradually turned into painful pleas.

Yan Yi didn’t stay any longer. He went into the coatroom to pick up an ironed-flat tuxedo, lifted the collar of his white shirt, skilfully tied a decent bow tie and finally tidied his coat. His slender waist fit perfectly; a butler’s uniform was spotless. After putting on a pair of white gloves, he headed downstairs to prepare tea.

(T/N: Yan Yi’s position as a “butler” and “guard” in this novel is interchangeable. The later chapters will explain this change. Here he is fulfilling his duty as a butler.)

The quartz clock in the living room pointed to four in the afternoon. Wearing the clothes left by Yan Yi outside his bedroom, Lu Shangjin followed along the solid wooden steps downstairs. He sat on the sofa, took the schedule prepared by Yan Yi and glanced through it.

A pair of eyes that could penetrate through anyone sat beneath cold, wrinkled thick eyebrows. The brow ridges and bridge of his nose are taller and more three-dimensional than the average Asian, and his body was absent of any jewellery that marked his identity and status. The elegance and calmness emitting from his bones allowed him to unconsciously become the main focus of any situation.

Yan Yi stood in front of the table and wiped the porcelain plates. There was a red rose in the vase on the table.

“Xiansheng1, a phone call came through just now. The other party spoke resolutely and refused to allow me to take the message.” Yan Yi’s tone was gentle and fitting. The only smell in the living room was Lu Shangjin’s faint pheromones, allowing Yan Yi to relax and feel comfortable.

Yuan Mi was Lu Shangjin’s captive canary, pampered in the palm of his hand and feeling free from worries, while Yan Yi was just a watchdog in the yard, a sharp henchman, loyal and quiet.

Yuan Mi sat at the table. With a neat napkin draped on his left hand, Yan Yi bowed politely and poured a cup of black tea, then arranged a knife and fork next to a plate of pancakes sprinkled with blueberries.

Propping his cheek, Yuan Mi looked at Yan Yi, and as though he was the other owner of this villa, he commanded Yan Yi, “Contain your pheromones, I’m lactose intolerant, the smell of milk candy is disgusting.”

This celebrity’s pheromones smelled like Iris perfume. A storm of vile vocabulary that could attack this little superstar appeared in Yan Yi’s mind, but he smiled politely.

In front of alphas, omegas would always break out with malicious friction. For someone like Yuan Mi who was used to being in the bubble of fame in front of the camera, he felt like he was winning. A shining diamond like himself was able to outshine all the other omegas.

Yan Yi turned a deaf ear to the omega’s provocations. With a quiet voice, he slowly introduced today’s Whittard black tea to Yuan Mi.

Yuan Mi was disinterested in the tea’s origins. He picked up the sharp silver knife, and then the sharp tip was against the back of Yan Yi’s hand that was holding the tray. Instantly, blood soaked through the white gloves, and a red flower spread from the flat edge of the knife.

“You really didn’t move your hand away,” Yuan Mi held his cheek and smiled at him, “You’re exactly the same as the butlers who serve the wealthy that I read about in my scripts.”

Yan Yi’s expression remained indifferent. He went to change a new pair of gloves and poured a cup of black tea for Lu Shangjin.

Lu Shangjin answered the phone again and left the living room.

Yuan Mi wantonly grabbed Yan Yi’s right hand and peeled off the glove. When he saw the platinum ring on his ring finger, he raised his eyes and laughed at Yan Yi, “I heard you and Jin ge once had history.”

The smile full of malice was like stepping on Yan Yi’s most fragile memory. He was most afraid of others mentioning his romantic past with Lu Shangjin, afraid that his incompatibly cherished love would be regarded as inferior and a loss. People were like that; always humbly taking to heart about what they lack.

Just as he regained his composure, Yuan Mi had fallen by the door and was holding onto his fractured leg. When Lu Shangjin heard the loud noise, he hurried back to the living room to investigate. The sofa had toppled over and the person was flipped upside down-

Yan Yi took two steps back, his eyes looking at Lu Shangjin with fear, his rabbit ears drooping. His heart rate soared to its peak, the tip of his nose turned red and trembled slightly, a sign of a rabbit’s fear.

The little celebrity was kicked eight meters away.

chapter 3

Lu Shangjin shot a glance at Yan Yi.

Like a frightened bird, one look could make Yan Yi’s legs turn soft. Lu Shangjin had this ability. To Yan Yi, his eyes were more deterrent than a UMP9.

Yan Yi’s reddened nose quivered rapidly. He instinctively retreated to avoid harm.

Lu Shangjin tossed his phone at him, “Call an ambulance.”

With trembling fingers, Yan Yi almost didn’t catch it. The phone slid to his chest and knocked against his collarbones. Ignoring the pain, he silently dialed a number and said in a low voice, “Yes, a human omega whose undifferentiated glands are still dormant. Could be a hairline fracture or a bone fracture.”

He looked at Lu Shangjin while on the phone. Omegas were fragile, and human omegas with dormant undifferentiated glands were more vulnerable. Yuan Mi’s eyes were dilated with pain as he weakly stretched his hand out to Lu Shangjin.

Lu Shangjin leaned over and picked Yuan Mi up, releasing his soothing pheromones to pacify the omega who was in heart-wrenching pain, and wiped his tears.

Seeking comfort, Yuan Mi buried himself into Lu Shangjin’s arms, his fair hands holding onto his neck tightly. Panicked pheromones were being released through the air as he begged with choked sobs for Lu Shangjin to hold him.

The black fans1 under Yuan Mi’s Weibo often said he had no acting skills, undeserving of the Best Actor title. Yan Yi thought his acting skills were excellent. If his gland cells were aroused, he would definitely be a chicken with three golden trophies around his neck. He should record this episode for his black fans, they would turn into fans.

Yan Yi watched them silently as the doctor on the phone asked for details, “How is the patient? We have sent…”

“No need, he’s already dead.” Yan Yi hung up the phone, placing it on the table and straightened the crease on the collar of his uniform. He slowly stepped forward and picked up the omega who was sobbing softly from Lu Shangjin’s arms. With indifferent politeness, he said, “My apologies, xiansheng, I will deal with it. You should attend to more important things.”

Lu Shangjin’s schedule was very busy, with no time left to accommodate the injured omega. He handed over Yuan Mi, who was scared pale and reluctant to part from him, to Yan Yi, then warned with a low voice, “We’ll discuss the punishment when I get back.”

Yan Yi held onto Yuan Mi and faintly replied, “Yes, xiansheng.”

Lu Shangjin took his coat and drove off with the Rolls-Royce Phantom from the garage, leaving the two omegas in the empty and silent villa.

Unexpectedly, he was serving as a butler at his house.

Lu Shangjin didn’t return to the villa for three days. Yan Yi had received a new task- to accompany Lu Shangjin’s lover in the hospital.

This was an act of silent humiliation. Yan Yi turned off his mobile screen and leaned outside the VIP ward, squatting while lighting a cigarette.

Lu Shangjin was really cruel.

In the office, Lu Shangjin sat in front of the French windows. He had just finished a video conference, and the coffee beside him had turned cool. He looked at the photo of the little rabbit sent by his assistant; squatting outside the ward and holding a cigarette, his empty gaze on the ground, lonely and desolate.

Fingertips stroked the little rabbit in the photo. He then lit a cigarette.

Their compatibility level was only 75%, and their inextricably intricate connections were only dependent on love. Breaking up was only a matter of time. An alpha with second-grade differentiated glands faced countless temptations in the world. If he married and lived together with an omega who had a compatibility level of not more than 80%, it would be difficult to watch the feelings between the two turn more dull over time; a tragic marriage.

He had once loved him.

The lop-eared rabbit was romantic and caring; he carried a camouflage Uzi in his hand, and smiled at him with a rose in his mouth. Any alpha’s heart would race.

Lu Shangjin absent-mindedly hummed and sank into the sofa, “I remembered it’s your birthday today.”

A sentence that’s neither salty nor indifferent was like spring water trickling into the bottom of a dried pool after a long drought, moistening the seeds that were too dry to break through the ground. A tender green sprout slowly pushed through, vibrant with life, then blooming into a lovely pink flower.

“Today is my birthday,” Yan Yi choked.

But it didn’t matter. The fact that Lu Shangjin remembered was enough to make him internally happy.

He hadn’t received a gift for many years.

Yan Yi’s eyes curved as the corners of his lips tilted in a gentle smile. The hand that was busy opening the gift got caught on the ribbon several times. He tried to remain calm as Jin ge didn’t like exaggerated behaviour.

He asked as he opened the gift, “Is it the new model of the Silencer from Germany? A sniper scope? Or is it that 9-inch platinum folding muzzle that’s been discontinued?”

In the gift box was a sparkling, shiny brooch; a glittering carrot.

Time stood still at the moment he saw the gift, and he held the box in a daze for a long time.

Lu Shangjin lazily picked out a movie and said casually, “The designer only created this one piece, the only one of its kind in the entire world.”

Of course, to manufacture such a strange design, they wouldn’t be able to sell it out.

He didn’t know an omega’s taste and what significance this kind of style holds. Perhaps it was only suitable for the vulnerable lop-eared rabbit omega.

Yan Yi pinned the carrot brooch on his jet-black butler tuxedo. Holding the box, he said sincerely, “I like it very much.”

Lu Shangjin nodded, “I’m hungry, you should start dinner.”

“Right away,” Yan Yi kept glancing down at the little carrot brooch on his chest, his rabbit ears were red with heat. No matter how much he tried to restrain his mood, anyone could tell he was very happy.

“Thank you, Jin ge,” Yan Yi couldn’t help thanking him. Like a fluffy ball, the little rabbit tail propped the fabric at the bottom of his suit into a little bun.

Lu Shangjin narrowed his eyes and said slowly with a gentle tone, “Go on.”
