'run, escape!' those were her only thoughts, ignoring the burning pain throughout her entire body, she ran through the forest, past the trees into an open plain.
but her pursuers would not allow her to escape, the pursuers were wearing heavy armor yet ran as if they were not wearing anything, some even ran on all fours like rabid animals while growling as the distance between the two sides became less and less.
in the middle of the plain there was a large ravine, it was known as the 'abyss', the 'abyss' had always been there. no one knew where it came from, or why it was there they only knew one thing and that is if you enter it, you never return
she was getting tired, very tired.
she knew she couldnt keep running so she had thought of a plan, after the distance became so small she could feel the pursuers breath on her neck she quickly jumped to the side barely avoiding a pursuer that jumped at her.
this caused the pursuer to fall into the ravine, with a long howl it dissapeared into the dephs of the ravine, while this got rid of one pursuer she was now surrounded as the other pursuers growled and closed in on her.
she pulled her sword out of its scabbard and readied herself for battle, but before the two sides could clash an arrow was fired at her from the trees, she manages to dodge making the arrow barely miss her, however the dodge took too much effort as her body couldnt take much more.
noticing the weakness the pursuers madly jumped at her, pushing both sides into the ravine.
as she was falling she couldnt accept it, she didnt want to die! yet she was still dying, she couldnt feel her body as her sight was getting blurry, 'this is the end' she thought as everything went dark.

'where am i?' she tried to ask, but her voice didnt come out. after looking around she could only see darkness while hearing a voice talking about 'fallen'

after hearing this she felt as if her entire body was ripped apart, pain was all she could feel, yet there was still light in her heart. she felt herself becoming stronger and stronger with every bit of pain, when she felt this she was defininely not going to give up.
A few minutes later the pain disappeared, as if it had never even existed. she felt powerful like she could break through a brick wall with her bare hands.

as tyrah woke up she felt she was leaning against a tree, after standing up and looking around she saw she was in the forest where she was running earlier, but then she quickly saw she was surrounded by 6 knights wearing black armor.
as she reached for her sword she realized it was gone not even the scabbard was there.
but then the knights suddenly knelt down.
"we greet our queen!" all knights loudly said in unison surprising tyrah.
after recovering from the ringing in her ears caused by the knights yelling she realised there was a connection between the seven of them, a small one but its there, like a thin thread woven between the knights and her.
after realising this she asked "you are shadows, right?"
"yes that is correct our queen!" all knights yelled out causing the nearby trees to shake because of the frightened birds flying away.
"could you be a bit less loud? my ears are ringing."
"understood!" the knights said while still sounding exited but no longer yelling.
suddenly a rustling in the nearby bushes was heard followed by multiple howls.
"wolves, thanks to your yelling they have found us." tyrah said annoyed.
as a pack of ten wolves walk out from the bushes the knights readied their weapons, 4 had spears 1 had dual knives the last a longsword.
"please leave it to us!" the knight with the longsword said.
"sure." tyrah anwsered wanting to see the strength of the knights.
"then, ready!... throw!" as the longsword wielding knight said this the spear wielding knights all held their spears behind their heads and then threw the spears they were holding with immense force, piercing into 4 of the wolves and nailing them to the ground.

[oh thats what you mean, sorry. let me explain in detail, when you kill creatures seen as enemies you get awarded exp, when you earn enough exp you level up, when you level up you get status points, you use status points to increase your power, keep in mind that the average creature has about 10 points in what they specialize in and less in the rest!]
[then there are skills, skills are upgraded by using status points or training, the higher the level the better the skill, skills levels range from 1-7, when the level reaches 7 the skill might evolve]

"alright, recieve reward!" as she was saying this the knights had finished the battle, they had recieved some scratches, but nothing serious.
as the knights came over an even louder howl could be heard nearby shaking the forest and causing the birds who had calmed down to fly away in a panic.
"queen tyrah! get behind us!" the longsword wielding knight yelled as the knights readied their weapons.
as the plants in front were shaking a wolf larger than the others jumped out, seeing the knights the wolf rushed at them biting through the waist of one of the knights.
While jumping back the wolf was confused, because when it bit the enemy the part it bit dissapeared, but its question was anwsered when the knight who was bit in half turned into black particles that returned to the original position, rebuilding the knight.
while the wolf appeared tyrah was immersed in the reward she obtained, it was a ring with a rose pattern.

as she was putting on the ring the large wolf noticed her and jumped at her without her realising it.

flash! A blinding light shone from the ring stunning the wolf and forming a humanoid shape in front of tyrah.
"how dare a mere dog attack our queen!" a calm but threatening voice said from the light.
as the bright light dimmed a man was revealed, the man has a well built body with wrinkles on his face plus gray hair on his head showing he was quite old, but when looking at his ears one would be able to see that they are pretty long and pointy showing he was of elven blood so simply looking old doesnt do much. in his right hand he had an estoc while the left gave off an aggresive magical aura.
stab! stab! as the wolf was recovering from the blinding light it was attacked by the man who ruthlessly started stabbing at it cutting into the wolf many times up to three times a second!
while the wolf was getting stabbed repeatedly it was still looking for a way out of this situation, but before it could figure out what to do the shadow knights rushed at it and joined the man who had not yet stopped stabbing.
after some more attacks the wolf went down and the system started talking in its empty emotionless voice.

"summon!" when tyrah said while holding a shadow crystal in her hand the black crystal lit up with red and purple light, from the light a see through screen appeared.

from the light a large shadow appeared the shadow was at least 4 meters tall with limbs the size of tree trunks. behind the large shadow there were 5 smaller versions of it and 4 others that look like the first group of shadows that appeared before the fight earlier but they are wielding bows.

"why are there so many of the same?" originally tyrah thought she was getting ten different shadows but after summoning there are only two different types of shadows, plus one higher rank.

"well then, do you know why i am here?"

"that is one of the things, however it is only the secondary reason. the main reason is to activate code: 'takeover' so get on that" the whisper said before disappearing.
