It was a cold winter night. The trees had worn beautiful white clothes. A light breeze blew and the trees giggled and danced in their white dress.

The snowflakes waltzed hand in hand with each other. The scenery was mesmerizing and a heaven for the eyes.

Winter has two meanings. For some, it's the season of loneliness but for some, it's the most beautiful season. The season of togetherness, love, and warmth.

Though everything is cold and chilly, when we are with our loved ones it brings charm to everything.

It was placid and tranquility lies in the air. Lovers were walking hand in hand in the warmth of each other.

Darren is sitting on the bench alone. He can relate to winter as both he and winter are lonely. He knows, no one will notice him, and he doesn't want to go home as there is no one waiting for him.

He won't feel lonely here as at least cold is here with him to accompany him.

The tale commences
Darren
That winter night changed my entire life.
Darren
It was a cold winter night, I was sitting on the bench of the park looking at the dark and lonely sky.
Darren
Not a single star can be seen in the sky.
Darren
I don't know if it was the cold or the loneliness which upsets me more.
Darren
Cold is my only friend.
Darren
It never betrayed me.
Darren
No matter what it is always there for me.
Darren
In happiness or grief,
during the day or night,
as a child or an adult,
it always remains with me.
Darren
No one cares about me.
Darren
No one is there when I need someone.
Darren
People approached me in the past, because of their own selfish interests.
Darren
However, winter reached me and stayed with me without asking for anything in return.
Darren
Winter never discriminates. It treats everyone equally.
Darren
Wrapping everything in its glimmering blanket of snow, the cold winter breeze sings a sad melody every time it feels low in memory of its lover.
