Companion beast is the inborn beast of martial arts cultivators. They can gain more fighting power through their companion beast.

There are various kinds of companion beast, which can be divided into nine levels from one star companion beast to nine stars with one star being the lowest grade. Once the companion beast is born, his rating can not be changed unless with some rare treasures. But the rating can be raised only once in the life of a companion beast and by at most 3 stars.

       For thousand of years, the war between the human race and the devil race never stopped and the devils were increasing their territory on the nine heavens. But the emperor of nine realms unified each territory of the nine heaven and use this opportunity to drove the devils to their original realm: The devil realm. In the last battlefield to seal the void corridor between the nine heaven and the devil realm in the depths of the gloomy desert, the emperor of nine realms Long Chen was on a fierce battle against the demon lord.

« Demon lord Verpalis, you are no longer in a to fight against me. If you don’t want to die, return to the devil realm and I won’t pursue this matter anymore » Emperor Long Chen finally cried out with a dignified expression.

The almost exhausted demon lord replied with a sinister tone « Even if I’m at my limit, you have run out of qi to use any other techniques. Moreover, I’ll be the final winner ». At that moment, Long Chen felt an ominous bloodlust from behind and instinctively tried dodge the sneak attack. However, he sustained a large wound from the dagger.

« You…! Why? Why did you betray me, Hongtian? » cried out Long Chen trying to catch his breath.

« If not for your powerful companion beast, did you really think you beat everyone in the nine heavens? The sky was split open, and a ten thousand feet light sword fell from the sky. All the devil on the ground were burned to ashes. Qingling defended herself with all the defensives treasures she possessed and barely escaped. But Hongtian lost an arm in the process. After the dust was cleared Long Chen’s body fell to the ground and turned into ashes living only a broken sword and his space ring.

Approaching with a satisfied look on her face, Qingling took the space ring and erased Long Chen soul lock on it. She searched inside the space ring and then discovered the jade slip containing the «Supreme chaos absorption sutra ». She was overjoyed and was very curious at what kind of treasure this supreme level cultivation method was. After inspecting the technique carefully, she shouted in anger:

« Damn Long Chen ! You deceive people too much. Even after your death, I can’t even have my share! »

Hongtian who was out of breath due to the injuries and his cut-off arm asked with a doubtful expression:

« Qingling ! What is wrong that made you so angry. Don’t tell me it is not the supreme level method! I won’t believe you. I personally saw Long Chen put the technique in his space ring this morning just before our departure. Son, don’t try to fool me? »

« Don’t you want to cultivate this method ? You can cultivate it. I don’t need it anymore. Catch it! » declared Qingling to Hongtian while tossing the Jade slip to him.

With a surprised expression, Hongtian caught the Jade slip. He used his divine sense to read the technique. After one breath of time, a shocked expression appeared on his face. He was so shocked that he coughs blood out of hunger.

Long Chen was lost in his thoughts as he remembered of the treatment he’d suffered in his past life, and of his family that have been wiped out when he was young. He was captured and became a slave, learned weapon refining with an old slave blacksmith, and was traded to an assassin organization where he learned all kind of assassination skills. When he became emperor, he couldn’t breakthrough anymore, so he indulged himself in medicine and alchemy and attained the highest rank in it.

Even though he had lived almost a thousand years, even though he possessed great intelligence – when he thought of his dear family wiped out and his painstaking years of struggle to become stronger, hot tears still spilled out of his eyes.

Long Chen became very upset as his thoughts traveled to the end of this path where he was backstabbed.

However, as if the heavenly thunder crashed into his body when his soul touched upon his body’s meridians. His state was not different than that of a dying man.

After assimilating this body’s owner memories, Long Chen discovered that he died 15 years ago at the same moment this boy was born. On another though, this year, that would make one thousand years the past him was born. Those clues may be related to the reasons of his reincarnation.

He also discovered that this young boy was poisoned with the same soul poison used by Hongtian to weaken him. Even if this time it is a diluted one, it is enough to instantly kill anyone under the core-formation realm. Through Yun Chen memories, Long Chen saw someone mixing the soul poison with his healing pills in the middle of the night. But due to the fact that the poor Yun Chen couldn’t move or even talk in this state, he had been fed with the poison and died.

Using the eye of truth, he thoroughly checked his body and was very shocked to discover that the soul of his former companion beast is in this body and inside a half dead companion beast egg. Normally, a cultivator can only have one space for companion beast and the companion beast egg must be hatched before the age of 12 but this body has two space slots; one for the original companion beast of this body and the other where he found the half dead egg.

« It seems the abyssal dragon soul crossed with me in this body and occupied this half dead egg. But it is not possible to hatch this egg! » sighted Long Chen in disappointment.

He then quickly collected his thoughts. There was another problem in this body. Yun Chen originally possessed the “Sun fire spirit root”, a 5 stars spirit root which was striped and transferred to his eldest cousin who possess the “Moon water spirit root”. He then became a rare dual spirit root owner.

All in all, this body has been completely trashed and unable to cultivate anymore.

« This body is trash…. It can’t even gather a strand of qi. Even if I have a lot of cultivation method and cultivation techniques, it is impossible to….. » said Long Chen when he suddenly the reason why he had been betrayed. A supreme level cultivation method where one need to shatter his dantian, spirit root and meridians. That was the same state as this body. A great joy surfaced on his face as he thought of how ironical his situation is.

« Hahaha…. This is great! A technique I couldn’t cultivate in his past life due my high level of cultivation and my fear to lose all my power is now the only thing that can save me and help me become even stronger than before. » laughed Long Chen.

There are 13 realms of cultivation which are Qi-Condensing realm, Spirit-Gathering realm, Foundation-Building realm, Innate realm, Core-Formation realm (Common core, Silver core, Golden core are the different quality of cores which reflet the talents), Nascent-Soul realm, Transformation realm, Avatar realm, Enlightenment realm, Divine realm, Void-Returning realm, Nirvana realm, and Immortal realm. And each realm is divides into nine layers excluding the core-formation which is divided into three stages: initial stage, medium stage, and high stage.

In his past life, Long Chen was a peak divine realm cultivator. He lacked a suitable body cultivation method. He couldn’t find a suitable one because in one hand, he didn’t lay a good foundation for his cultivation and on the other hand he never practiced a body cultivation method, so it was too late to begin.

But this supreme level cultivation method can cultivate the boy, the qi and the soul at the same time.

On those thought, Long Chen search carefully within the thousands of cultivation method in his mind and finally found what he was looking for; the supreme level cultivation method called “SUPREME CHAOS ABSORTION SUTRA”.

       The supreme chaos absorption sutra is an ultimate cultivation method which regroup the three types of cultivation methods: the body cultivation, the qi cultivation, and the soul cultivation (Soul power). To cultivate this method, one must first shatter his natural dantian and use the dantian shards to artificially create three dantian with specific materials; this is the Tripolar dantian. The three dantian are respectively called true qi dantian, demon qi dantian and poison qi dantian. The most difficult to create is the poison qi dantian which need one to ingest poison and mix it with some of the original dantian shards to create the poison qi dantian. The same process must be used to create its meridians path.

«What a peculiar cultivation method. It even uses poison to cultivate. Once cultivated at the beginning, one will develop a poison resistance and after cultivating it to the extreme, the cultivator will be immune to all kind of poison. »  Long Chen exclaimed to himself after recalling the cultivation method.

Suddenly, a great idea flashed in Long Chen’s mind after thinking about the poison qi dantian.

«Wait…. There is still soul poison in this body. I can use this poison to create the poison qi dantian and build my meridian path. And according to the cultivation method, the stronger the poison is the better the result»

Long Chen then used his soul power to gather all the soul poison in his body. Normally, for someone at this level it is required to have the assistance of an alchemist or someone with strong soul power. But Long Chen was once a divine realm cultivator and an alchemist so, even if the strength of his soul has dropped it is still better than a core-formation cultivator soul or a fifth-grade alchemist soul power.

With his skill in soul power manipulation, Long Chen extracted a highly concentrated soul poison which is even more deadly. He then slowly merged it with some original dantian shards to create a new dantian the same size as the former one. He used the same technique to rebuild a new meridian path called poison meridians.

«Whew… at last, it is finished. And I can move now. I even broke through to the fist layer of qi-condensing realm. But I can’t still use qi because I didn’t create the true qi dantian. I need the raw qi in the spirit stones to create the true qi dantian and I don’t have spirit stones here. »

After cultivating all night, Long Chen finally woke up. A gentle yet panicked voice sounded beside him.

The little girl who was crying beside Long Chen was his maid. The former Yun Chen considered her as his little sister, and she was adopted by the former patriarch. She was found inside a wood basket when she was a baby with the name Su Ling inscribed on her clothes. She is 12 years old now. She was the one taking care of Yun Chen when he was crippled and abandoned at the backyard of the family mansion.

« Don’t worry Ling’er, I am well now. I will recover completely very soon » Long Chen comforted her stroke one the head.

Su Ling was very talented and possessed a blue ranked bloodline “the vermillon bird bloodline”. But when Long Chen touched her head, there was a kind of resonance which deeply startled Long Chen. It gave him a familiar feeling. So he was very curious at what it was. Long Chen then used the eye of truth on Su Ling and was very surprised at what he discovered. Su Ling didn’t have the vermillon bird bloodline but the divine bloodline of the Immortal Phoenix with a very high purity.

The bloodlines are ranked by color from low to high as white, yellow, green, blue and purple. But above them, there are divine bloodlines and there is only five of them which are True dragon bloodline, Immortal phoenix bloodline, Black tortoise bloodline, Celestial tiger bloodline, and the Void beast bloodline. But the void beast bloodline is an extinct bloodline.

If Su Ling can cultivate it perfectly, she can even become a Dao-fusion realm cultivator in the future but actually, she is only at the fourth layer qi-condensing realm and she didn’t completely awaken her bloodline and that is why it was misjudged.

«I possess a lot of method to cultivate her properly but the most suitable one must be the heaven level cultivation method “Seven fire goddess art” » Long Chen thought to himself a little reflexion.

Seeing her brother in deep though, she was very curious as she asked instinctively.

This answer didn’t surprise Long Chen because, with the wrong cultivation method, you will surely encounter a bottleneck. And it is even possible to never breakthrough in this life.

«Come here Ling’er. Do you want to become stronger and help your big brother in the future? » asked Long Chen with a serious face and a gentle voice.

«Young master?.... » Su Ling let out with a confused face.

«I can help you become stronger and stronger than anyone in this family. But you swear an oath to never betray me or bring me arm in any way. »

Long Chen didn’t want to repeat the same mistake as in the past so, he must act cautiously.
