This is a modern world where everything was peaceful but one day for unknown reasons dungeons started appearing in this world and from those dungeons monsters started appearing too.

Each dungeon had a different treasure based on the difficulty level. So the higher the difficulty level of the dungeon the better the treasures you'll find. Due to this many guilds were formed all around the world.

Many years have passed and people got used to life as if the dungeons and monsters were nothing new but something they've always known.

One day at midnight a dungeon appeared just like any other dungeon in a country called "Luciana".

[Author Notes: Luciana means light or shinning]

This dungeon was unlike any other. It was the biggest dungeon the world has ever seen, which would later be known as "The Great Dungeon". Seeing how big it was the country of Luciana alone couldn't raid the dungeon even with all its guilds joining together. Many other countries wanted to join the raid in these dungeons since there can legendary treasures waiting to be found there.

Since everyone wanted to join this raid. The country of Luciana decided to make this a joined operation with the rest of the world with certain rules that no guilds can fight each other over the treasures and no matter what the treasure is the country of Luciana will keep 30% of it from everyone.

What no one knew was that this decision of making the raid would result in a big battle which would later be known as the "The Great War".

This war was caused due to everyone fighting over a legendary treasure found in that dungeon. The treasure was an immortality potion, which could make anyone immortal, but it also had a curse that the person using it would be a walking corpse with no will, just like a puppet.

The immortality potion was broken by the time everyone found it and everyone blamed each other which caused the war to become even more intense. Many countries fought over it, many people died fighting, and some innocent people lost their lives while some lost their homes. In the end, the country of Luciana managed to end the war after some people with overwhelming power joined the fight.

Among which was Yin. This war was recorded in history, and it also made many new heroes and villains. The villains who sought to fight for their own gain and trample over everything then there are the heroes who sought to protect the innocent at any cost.

Most people would prefer joining a guild and working as an adventure rather than working in other professions since being an adventurer can bring you fame and fortune, but it also comes with the risk. People who wanted to join guilds would need to take a mandatory test in the Class Union which is a big corporation made by the government to assess new adventures and give them their ranks.

The Union Class tests people and assigns them to different classes and ranks. The ranks range from the lowest D to the biggest SSS.

There are only 2 SSS ranks in Luciana, one is a girl named Yin who's very famous for not just her beautiful looks, but she is also rumoured to be stronger than the other SSS rank person.

The other SSS rank person he's famous mostly with the girls for his looks, and he flirts a lot. But among all the girls he seems to be more interested in Yin, but Yin always ignores all boys.

Yang walking in the street in disguise and thinking to himself "Hmm… I'm kinda bored, it would've been nice if something interesting happened". While Yang was walking thinking to himself, a few seconds later something came flying toward him and landed straight in front of him. Yang got startled and jumped back because of his sharp reflexes without even realizing it.

All the people ran away thinking it was an attack by some monsters. There's dust floating everywhere and Yang couldn't see properly what's in front of him that just landed so suddenly out of nowhere.

After a few minutes the dust settled down and Yang could slowly see what was in front of him. As the dust is all cleared, Yang slowly opens his eyes and looks in front of him and sees a girl standing. The girl looks at Yang with an angry face with her eyes shining red in rage, and we could see everything around her turn into a black background. But Yang smiles a little. Yang seems to see her as somewhat like a squirrel with her face stuffed with nuts and yelling as if someone touched some of her nuts. She then says in a deep tone with an evil smirk on her face, "I finally found you, Yang. The biggest villain in history".

Yang didn't hear a single word that the girl just said. Instead, he's mesmerized by looking at her and think's to himself "How can someone be this beautiful". Yin say's, "Hey are you listening or are you so scared that you can't even speak". Yang say's, "Hey did anyone ever tell you that you're so cute".

Hearing Yang says that out of nowhere Yin gets startled and all embarrassed. Her face turns red and she looks down at the ground embarrassed and yells and says, "You bastard how dare you to say something like that to me. I'm gonna defeat you today and then everyone will know that I'm much stronger than you".

While Yin was yelling Yang notices people from some guilds coming so he slowly walks away just like a thief does after stealing something from someone's house and escaping through the window. Yin looks up and suddenly notices Yang slowly walking away from her. Yin say's, "You jerk stop right there. Where do you think you're going". Yang replies "I'm hungry I'm going home now". Yang turns back one last time and calls out to Yin. Yin looks at him with an angry face. There's a big smile on Yang's face. Yang says with a big smile "Hey Yin I love you".

Hearing that Yin gets all embarrassed again and this her face is red just like a tomato and there's smoke coming from the top of her head. Yin yells with her embarrassed face "One day I'll kill you Yang you jerrrrkkkkkk".

Yin is in her house in her room lying in the bed and reading a manga while listening to music and humming.

After a few hours, Yin's stomach growls from hunger. Yin sits straight in her bed and says "I guess it's about time for lunch. Hmm… maybe I'll have some fried rice today".

Yin jumps off her bed get out of her room and walks downstairs to the kitchen. Yin opens the fridge to check if some ingredients are available or not. Yin opens the fridge, the fridge is empty.

Yin smile with an innocent face and says "Teehee, maybe I forgot to restock. Guess it's time for some grocery shopping".

Yin goes back to her upstairs to grab her phone and her jacket. She then heads outside and locks the door of her house.

In the mall district...

Yin stands in the middle of the mall district and thinks to herself "Did some actor come here or some famous adventurer? If not then why the hell is it so crowded today".

Tears drop from her eyes and then she says "that's why I hate coming to grocery shopping".

"But I won't give up. Yin, you can do this" she says, to herself. She then walks to a stand and looks at the fresh vegetables. She picks up some carrots and other vegetables as an ingredient for her fried rice. The shop lady looking at Yin says "What pretty girl you are. Since you are so pretty I'll give a special discount". Yin's face brightens and she says "Thank you so much". Meanwhile Yin's inner voice with a smirk "Hehe who knew I would get a discount today. Guess this is my lucky day".

The shop lady packs everything in a bag and gives her the items. The lady says "Thank you have a nice". Yin replies "You too".

Just as Yin was about to walk away from the shop some goons stop her. The goons laugh with each other and say "Hey there pretty lady, do you need some help we can help you carry those"

Yin replies "Oh thank you for asking but these are some fresh ingredients that I bought just now. If you all were to touch it, it would become rotten and spoiled just like you guys".

Everyone was watching Yin and the goons from far away no one was approaching them because they were afraid of those goons.

The goons hearing Yin's reply say "Ah so you're a feisty one but don't worry I like those as well. I'm a C-rank adventurer so why don't you come with me and the others quietly if you don't wanna get hurt".

Yin keeps staring at them like they're disgusting and not even worth fighting. One of the goons holds her hand by her wrist and tries to pull her closer. Yin gets very angry she slowly puts down her shopping bag and hits the goon in his guts with her knees. The goon loses consciousness and falls to the ground.

The other goons get a little scared looking at that. The leader of the goons who's a C rank says "Don't be afraid of her she was just lucky that time. Go and bring her to me after I enjoy her I'll let you'll enjoy her as well". Hearing that all the goons gang up on Yin and attack together.

Yin is a very skilled fighter since her rank is SSS. In a blink of an eye, Yin defeats all of the goons. She then approaches the leader that was lying down on the ground hurt badly with his legs broken and unable to stand she then says with an evil look "Do you still want me to come with you?". The leader looks very afraid looking at her and he's trembling in fear and says "N..n.no…just stay away from me". Yin then says with a cute smile "But you said you like me".

After a few minutes, the cops come around and arrest all the goons and take them away for further information since they were part of a guild.

Yin finally releases a deep breath HAIZZZZ…..

Suddenly everyone around her starts applauding her for what she did. Yin looks at the crowd and gives a gentle smile.

While everyone was clapping for Yin someone was looking at her from behind a wall wearing glasses and big jackets like a detective. That, someone, was no other than Yang who was admiring Yin. Yin already felt like someone was looking at her from far but she let him go since they weren't bothering her.

Yang turns around, giggles and says "So she gets annoyed too"

Yin returns to her house. She opens the door and enters. Later after a few mins, Yin enters the kitchen. She says "Now it's time to cook. Hmm… so how do we cook tried rice again?. Teehee I don't know".

Yin picks up her phone and searches for how to cook fried rice recipes. After an hour she finally manages to cook fried rice. Yin sets up the table and a plate for herself. She serves herself some hot fried rice on the plate. Yin says "Ahh it's hot I wanna eat it fast I'm so hungry". She then takes a bite of the fried rice. She chews it for a while in her mouth before swallowing it. After swallowing the first bite she puts both her hands on her cheeks and says "UwU it's so tasty maybe I'm a great chef It must be my hidden talent".

This was the first time the food Yin cooked turned out right not just in the looks but also in the taste so she was very happy.

Yin then takes another bite and stares at the other empty chairs and says "It would've been nice if I could share it with someone. Welp never mind I get enjoy this all by myself that's a plus point of being alone, right?….". Tears slowly fall from her eyes as she thinks about her parents and how they used to have food together.

Yin's parents died in a dungeon raid by some monsters. They were very loving parents and used to love Yin a lot.

Later Yin washes the dishes, takes a bath and jumps onto her bed and says "Today was a very long and exhausting day, I hope something good happens tomorrow". Her eyes slowly close and she falls asleep. She looked even more beautiful while sleeping. It was like lights were shining all over her.

Meanwhile, Yang is in his home in his bed. "Ahhhh I can't sleep and keep remembering her face and that smile"

Yang finally fell asleep at 5 AM.

It's a nice sunny day.

Yang is in his home watching TV and playing games on his phone. Looks like Yang is playing an FPS game and he lost. After losing the game Yang release a deep breathe and yells "Aahh this is so boring. Maybe I'll go out for a walk. I wonder what that girl is doing now?. What was her name again…..Yen..Yum..hmm….ah I got it. It was Yin".

Yang gets up from the sofa and wears a long jacket and puts on glasses to disguise himself. He looks at the mirror and says "It feels like I'm a detective. Muhahaha… cough..cough… I forgot to breathe".

Yang leaves his house and walks down the street. He first visits the nearby park. After walking for a while he sees an ice-cream seller. He buys an ice cream and sits on an empty bench while enjoying the ice cream. After he finished eating the ice cream he stood up and started walking eventually leaving the park.

Yang seems to have been sweating a lot due to today being so hot. He thinks "There's a mall nearby maybe I'll go to the mall, not for shopping but to enjoy the AC for F.R.E.E…FREEEEEE" he yells in the street. Everyone got startled and looked at him. A kid walking by with her mother looks at Yang and says to his mother "Look mom that person is screaming in the street". The kid's mother says to her "Shh… he must be a crazy person and don't point fingers at others, dear".

Yang then whispers slowly "Who are you calling crazy? Your crazy. Hmph..". Yang then walks for a while until he reaches the mall. He enters the mall and the cool breeze gently touches his face and then his whole body. Yang takes a deep breath in and releases it. He says "Now it feels much better. Since I'm here maybe I'll look around a little just for an hour".

Yang looks and goes to many different shops and without him releasing it's already been more than an hour. Yang looks at his phone at the clock and realizes that he's been in the mall for too long. He decided to head back home now and he was getting hungry too. So he decided to go for a little grocery shopping on his way back home since he came out today.

At the grocery shopping district, he bought some vegetables and other kinds of stuff for him to cook. After he finished buying all the necessary goods, he stood in one place around a corner and was thinking "I hope I'm not missing anything else". Just when he was thinking he heard some noises. As he heard some noise and ruckus he went to look what's all this commotion going on. As he arrived on that spot he suddenly hid around a corner and kept watching quietly. There was a fight going on it were some goons and Yin.

The fight was over as soon as it began. Yang then walked away from there quietly without revealing himself in front of Yin. Yang finally reaches his house and enters. The first thing he says after entering the house was "I saw something interesting today".

Later Yang cooks some food. Yang was a very good cook. He cooked rice, chicken and some other vegetables. It was different from what Yin used to eat, it was a lot better than hers.

Yang sits down on the chair and starts chomping down on the food. After taking a few bites Yang says with a sad face "I wonder if one day I can share my food with someone". "Heh who am I kidding who would sit down with me for a bite they might I poisoned the food and was trying to kill them or something hahaha." Yang again with his sad face says "But it would be nice to have someone.....right?".

Yang was always alone, unlike Yin who at least had her parent until she 12yrs old. Yang lost his parents after 2 days after being born in this world. Although he never saw his parent's faces in person he only has one picture of them. Yang's parents were killed in an accident which was known by everyone as "The Holy Flame tragedy". Although everyone knows it by this name not everyone knows what exactly happened on that night. What most people knew was that there was a village named "Huo Village" where suddenly a big fire occurred and many people died. Although all the people in that village know what happened that day, they all stay quiet and never talk about that incident to anyone outside the village.

Later after finishing the meal, Yang washes the dishes and heads to his room. He lies down on his bed for a while but for some reason, he can't fall asleep. Whenever he closed his eyes he would keep thinking about Yin about how she smiled at the end when everyone was applauding her and how beautiful she looked.

Yang scratches his head and yells "Ahhhhh I'm gonna go crazy why do you have to be so beautiful, damn it". Yang finally fell asleep at 5 AM.
