Sometimes life just sucks but you've to be brave and face it. Face all the bullshits and not to complain. My situation was same right now.

In past, I have faced so much problems that I'm tired now. But tada, here I am, living...

Dad... More likely my foster dad got profit in his business so he planned that we should visit his relatives, so that's why we are currently in Hawaii. Planning, how we can enjoy and put the whole ocean on fire around us.

"What should I wear this one or that one... Yes! this one, but this is more casual. I should try that, what if I look extra bitchy in it... No, more like a slut but everyone-"

"SHUT UP." I shouted at Collette so she will shut her smart mouth.

Collette is my elder foster sister and my secret keeper but sometimes she got bitchy attacks, especially when we are going somewhere. Do you wanna see the trailer. Here it is.

"What Mavis, here I'm confused what should I wear and you're not suggesting anything to me. Look Esme is wearing a casual dress but that dress is not only casual it's also cute. But I'm confused here and more likely trapped here with you because you-"

"Collette."

"-are a bitch and you are sitting here. Do you want to go-" She is not going to shut up.

"Nevermind." I got up from the couch and went to the living room, shutting the door of my room that I'm currently sharing with her and also completely ignoring her screams that was obviously at me.

When I came downstairs in the living room, Maria and Samantha both are running around. Collette and her cousins are so alike. Only Esme was sitting on a couch watching her favorite series '13 reasons why'. Personally I don't hate these series but I don't love it either.

"Hey Esme, when are we heading towards 'The lake'?" The whole hustle in this house is because of The lake. We all planned that we should kill our time at the lake.

"Dunno." She is so envolve in Netflix that I better not talk to her. I huffed again while standing from the sofa.

Boring.

I leave her alone with her reasons and head towards the garage. I am totally bored with these cousins of my foster family.

Collette said it will be hell fun at Hawaii. We'll meet hot boys and other stuff but no... Here I am bored as hell.

When I move towards the garage door it was open so I know who was inside.

Jake.

He was bending in front of his mustang, cleaning his precious car's hood. And I know what I have to do.

With a quick jerk I jump on his back.

"Yeehaw! My baby horse can you give me a ride." I patted his shoulder.

"Not again." He huffed and stand straight causing me to fall back straight on my butt.

"Ouch." It hurts.

Jake quickly turn around. And gave me his hand.

"You alright. I didn't mean to-"

"It's okay Jake." I motioned him to stop apologizing. He is such a sweet guy, especially towards me. I don't know why but he cares about me more than my own foster family.

"When are we heading towards the lake? I'm bored here and nobody is ready to leave yet." I huffed and stand straight, dusting my white dress.

"We both can leave right now, leaving everyone behind." Jake chuckled.

"Very funny. So you free now?" I questioned him with a raise brow.

"I'm always free. When am I occupied?" He replied smirking. He can't take things seriously.

"Right now, before I came here. You were busy making love with your mustang."

He laughed throwing his head back.

"What's so funny." I pouted like a child, folding my arms in front of my chest.

"Mavis Brown Parker are you jealous of my car that I was making love with it not you?" He asked still laughing.

"In your dreams." I roll my eyes. When I look up he was staring at me.

"What." I asked, confused.

"Nothing." He shake his head.

"And live while we are young." I shouted the song with one direction, currently playing in the van.

We were sitting in Collette uncle's van. Maria and Samantha both were with Jake in his mustang. He insisted me to join him but I don't want to bore myself with those bitches.

Collette's elder brother Noah, my Foster brother was driving it while me, Collette, Esme, Aylin and Millie was dancing with the beat. Esme and Millie are sisters and both are best.

Aylin is also Collette's cousin and she had a huge crush on my foster brother Noah. I don't understand what she see special in him except abs and brunette curly hair....and also green eyes.... and maybe his smile.

Why the hell I am defining my brother's beauty. End of discussion, yeah my foster brother is handsome but he is gross.

When we reached at lake, the first thought came in my mind was 'woah so rushy.'

We all get out of the van jumping around.

In a fraction of seconds everyone was in their lingeries except me. Well long story...

I brought my swimming suit with me that will cover most of my body. I'm not against these short bikinis but I don't like the exposure of half butt through it. Never mind.

Jumping into the cold water I got the best feeling. Everyone was laughing and splashing water at one another. Noah was flirting with some girls as usual and Aylin was staring at him. I want to slap my foster brother's thick head.

I move towards Aylin and splash a huge amount of water on her face. She get out of  her day dreams and start splashing towards me while I start swimming with the air tube in opposite direction.

Everything is fun here But the most irritating thing here was Maria. She was sucking someones face so hard that his face was purple now. Poor boy and his poor luck.

I feel something touching my legs from under water and within a blink of an eye I was on someone's shoulders.

"Jake, put me down." I screamed at Jake whom shoulders I was on.

"Aww Mavis I'm your horse, right." He teased me. "Don't want a horse ride." He replied with amusement in his voice. Is he playing some game with me.

"I said put me down. You big fat *** horse." I slap the back of his head and he lost his grip around my legs and with a great splash I was underwater. I struggle to get out of the water. But don't make it because the air tube was not around me anymore. Did I told you I can't swim. Well with plenty of shame I want to tell you 'I can't swim' and I am proud of it.

A hand pull me up and unfortunately it was not any prince charming but one and only big fat *** Jake. Once again I want to hit him but if I do so then again I'll be underwater.

His arms were around my waist, to stable me and I was so close to his ***** chest that was perfectly toned. This scene was perfect if I were his Juliet and he was my Romeo but unfortunately he was my horse from the movie "sipirit" because we both are obsessed with that animated movie.

"Jake you better not lose your grip around me." I snap at him and motioned him to take me to the edge of this cold lake. He was looking at me in a wierd way. Like I am his lost puppy and he found me in this lake after a long time.

"Hello! Jake. Can you hear me." I sing whilst shaking my hand in front of his face.

"Yeah, come-on." He shake his head, like he is getting rid of his different thoughts. Strange behavior shown by my horse. I think he got rabies. Hehe my observation. He drag me towards edge of the lake.

"Jake." I called him when I landed on the ground.

"Hmm." He replied looking deeply at me.

"You got rabies right." I asked amusement in my voice.

"What!"

"I said-"

"I know what you said.... Nevermind let's eat something. I am hungry." He cut me off and drag me towards our group that was now sitting on the bare grass beneath a shadowy tree. It is so beautiful around here. Calmness, peace and my horse. I grab his arm and start running towards the cousins. He laughed at my action.

"No let's play truth and dare."

"No, kids play this truth and dare shit. We should just hike around there."

Noah and Aylin were arguing about what should we play and I am with Aylin. Because I want hiking.

"I am with you Aylin. Let's hike around there." I sit in a circle with my legs crossed and Jake sat beside me. The four bags of Doritos were places in the circle and I grab one for me and Jake. Munching the chips I revert my attention back towards our peers again.

"No we can hike tomorrow and I am also tired of swimming so we better play some game like this." Noah was Noah.

"You are not tired from swimming around, you are tired from fucking random girls." Collette hit Noah's head while he just gave her a smirk.

"Lalalallalalalalalalal... That's gross." I cover my ears with my hand. I know this was coming. My eyes flicker towards Aylin and she was staring at her lap.

"Let's play. We'll hike tomorrow." Millie was chriping this time for playing 'the stupid game'. I remember reading every cliché novel, when a scene in which a group play truth and dare and their the nerdy girl find his prince charming bad boy.

"So Aylin truth or dare." My brother turns towards Aylin starting the game hastly like he was waiting for the whole truth drama.

"Um... Truth." She replied in a low voice that she was not confirm about her choice. I know she will die either way, 'by taking truth or by taking dare.'

"How many boys you've kissed." Huh boys and their kissing questions.

"Two." Aylin replied shyly, her cheeks were burning red by now. Cute.

"Millie truth and dare." It was Noah again.

"This is not how we play this game. You don't have to ask all questions." I pouted at him.

"Okay Mavis truth or dare." He said in bored expression. Oh I'm okay with this game if it's my turn.

"Truth." I shouted whilst everyone cover their ears.

"Whom you are jealous to?" Esme asked.

"Huh easy question-" I open my mouth to reply but Jake cut me off.

"This is not a real thing to ask. Mavis do you have a crush on someone?" He turn towards me.

I laughed at him. While Collette and Noah show their bored expressions. Bitches.

"No. First answer my question. Are you jealous of someone?" Esme again.

"Okay I'll answer you both. First I'm jealous of my parents and second I've a crush on SHAWNMENDES." I exitedly scream Shawnmendes' name that the people around me gave me a strange look. Jake look at me with strange expression.

"Why are you jealous of your parents?" Esme asked with curious look.

"I'm jealous of my parents because I'll never have a kid as cool as thiers'." I replied while everyone laugh at me.

"Okay now cut this crap because I dare Maria to take a picture of the boy she is drooling at right now." Collette mentioned Maria and she came out of her daydreams checking the corner of her lips for drool. Whilst everyone turn around to look at the boy.

God he is a true piece of ****. Oh shit I cursed.

His black raven hair that was giving kind of dark blue shade. His face was perfect, perfect cheekbone with full dark pink lips. His eyes were shining brightly in different shades. I can't tell his exact eye colour from this distance. His chiselled square shoulders with toned chest and his abs was ****. Oh I cursed again. In other words he was Greek God. But I'm not going to drool over a random boy even he is a Greek god.

And now every girl in our group was drooling at him except me. I am master in hiding my feelings.

"No." Maria shake her head whilst turning red just like tomato.

"Really Maria. Okay so Collette, go take his picture whilst standing front of him." Everyone turns towards Collette.

She just shake her head. "Don't expect anything from me."

"You Aylin." Jake asked Aylin. And she also shook her head.

I know why they are all acting wierd. First he is looking so serious except that he is almost of our age. Second he is also looking arrogant bastard and I know he'll snap at us if we only talk to him.

Everyone around the lake was staring at him like he is some kind of Armani model.

"Okay cut this shit I'll take his picture." I stand up straight while Collette shook her head vigourously and gave me a horrific look and Noah gave me an amused look. Taking out my cellphone I start moving towards the drool worthy guy that was chatting with his group.

"This is not your dare so you better sit down." Jake grab my arm.

"Oh shut up Jake." Noah snap at Jake, who only gave him a cold stare in return.

I start walking towards that boy. If you are asking me where my confidence came from. Then I also don't know the answer. The more I walk towards him the more I became nervous. A girl came towards him before me and I can easily listen that she was trying to flirt with him.

"Are you free right now." The girl asked. He just raise his brows at her. Wow girl. What a move. Are you free right now? Is she freaking serious. What is she expecting a random boy to answer to her. 'Yes I'm fucking free! Want a quickie.'

"I mean if you are, we can hangout or something. My group is right there." So she want a group quickie... Maybe it will not be quickie anymore. She said nervously, pointing towards her slutty group and sawy her hips at the same time.

"I'm Barbara-" He cut her off by saying.

"I'm not interested in someone with irregular boobs." He said in a bored expression. Damn.

Now the girl has a horrified expression on her face. She look down at her boobs that was tightly packed togather that it was looking poppin cups.

Breathe Mavis it's just a dare.

He was talking to some guy now and the pale girl was no where in sight. Poor girl. I clutch my cellphone harder after nervously walking around I start snapping around. Taking pictures of lake, grass and sky. Then I plucked some grass from the ground and take it's picture closely. From the corner of my eyes I noticed that he was staring at me like I'm some special slash abnormal kid.

Mavis you ARE looking abnormal right now. A voice wisper in my head.

Breath Mavis.

And now everyone in his group was looking at me. Great.

Slowly I stand up and take a deep breath and turn towards them.

"Is there something on my face?" I asked trying to sound as casual as possible. Mavis! Just go back. This dare is not for you, look at him. He's fucking differently hot from this close.

They all have a amused expression on their face except that guy.

"Or a joke is written on my face? I question again trying my best to sound casual again.

A guy with blond hair open his mouth to say something but I cut him by turning towards raven haired guy and said, "Nevermind can I take your picture?" I said with artificial bored expression but in reality I'm super nervous because of his brilliant grey eyes staring deeply at me. ****! These eyes. Oh, I curse again.

He raised his brow slightly.

"Sure! but why?" Oh my **** his voice is so manly and seductive.

"Don't feel so special, I just love collecting pictures of natural disasters." I replied and everyone in his group except him laughed whilst he just gave me a cold eye and at that moment I take his picture.

"Thank you." I gave him a sweet smile and quickly turn towards my buddy squad. I'm feeling so good. I can feel a hard stare on the back of my head but I ignored it. My heart was beating so fast and I know I'm gonna die if he stop me. But he never called me. Thank God.

When I reached in front of my squad and show them his picture they all laughed with me and we again got a cold look from everyone around us.

When we all get dressed and went to the restaurant near the lake.

The whole lake scene was so fun. We enjoyed their a lot. Especially the dare thing.

"So what now?" Noah said while burping so loud.

"Gross, Noah you don't have manners." Collette as always a mannered kid. In return Noah burp again. Everyone laugh at him whilst Collette pinch her nose and gave him a cold stare.

"I'm so tired, we should go home now, look it's 8:43." Jake said while dramatically closing his eyes.

"Aww my horse is sleepy." I pick his head and place it on my shoulder. I am sleepy too but not that much.

"You both act like a couple and looks like you are head over heels in love with one another." Collette remarked and in return I throw Jake's head backward.

"Ouch." Jake rub his neck and gave me a hurt look. Actor.

"Gross Collette. Stop your negative mind right their. Jake is my best best best friend only." I replied giving stress on a word only.

"Okay everyone let's go." Noah stand and stretch his arms. From the corner of my eyes I can see girls in the restaurant drooling at him. Aylin is included in those girls. Gross.

"Jake, I'm going with you." Samantha grab Jake's arm and drag him with her. Jake was looking priceless. He gave me a last look and get in his car. Poor boy. Maria was also in his car again.

Slowly moving towards the van, I get inside and start dozing off.

My eyes flutter open when I heard screeching sound of a car. What the hell is this. A black sports car crossed our van and make a screeching sound again. Huh obviously a rich drunk driver, maybe.

Our van abruptly stop with a jerk causing me to move forward and I hit my head. ****.

The sports car stopped in front of us whilst Jake's mustang was across the road. Stopped nearly a foot before hitting the tree. Hope Jake was okay. I think we nearly got in an accident.

Noah open the door angrily and get out of the van and we all were behind him. Jake and the bitches were also getting out of their car.

A guy came out of his sports car. He was tall. Taller than Jake and Noah. Great, now we are going to die.

"Who the **** are you. Don't know how to use your fucking eyes." Noah barked at him. I grab Noah's arm so that he'll not get in the fight with him.

The guy stare coldly at Noah and crap. No double, triple crap. He was the same guy from the lake. The perfect guy and right now he was looking so good with his looks. God what am I thinking. Mavis stop thinking this shit right now.

He start moving towards Noah with cold expression on his face. If I told you the truth then I am terrified as hell right now. Terrified of his expression. Terrified of him.

When he was in front of Noah. He said,

"You broke the fucking side mirror." He said coldly. If I was in the place of Noah I'll be dead or peed in my pants. Gross I'm so ungirly.

A hand land on my back. I look up and saw Jake standing beside me.

"You okay?" He wispered. I nod in return still looking at that guy.

"Shut the **** up. You hit my fucking van. Who do you think you-" he cut Noah by grabbing his shirt front. What the hell is with him.

I move towards Noah but Jake grab my arm to stop me. Jerking my arm away from his grip I move towards Noah and Jake was beside me.

"Leave us alone. We don't need any fucking shit right now" Jake spoke before me.

His dark grey eyes now landed on Jake and he turns towards him.

"And who the hell-"

"What the hell is with you. You nearly got us in an accident and now YOU are the one barking at us." I shouted at him. I want him to leave. He was looking dangerous. I felt fear running down my spine.

For the first time his eyes landed on me.

And his expression of anger changed into hate or maybe something else. His lips turn into thin line and his square jaws clenched. But the only thing I know is, I'm terrified as hell.

"Mavis stay away from this." Noah shouted at me.

He sneered at Noah and turn towards me.

"You! Who do you thing you are?" He howered over me and grab my arm. Just then Jake pushed him back. And try to punch him but he grab his fist and throw a punch on his jaw. Jake stumble backward but regain his position. Now Noah was trying to punch him but of no use. He was tackling him easily. When he prepare himself to punch Noah, came in front of him.

Ahh and I got the best feeling. I landed on the ground with a great thug. It hurts as hell. Everything blur around me. I hear shouting voices and hear his voice in them "What the ****..." The last thing I remember was warm hands wrap around me. And I can smell my best friend.

I open my eyes slowly and feel terrible pain in my jaws. I was not in comfortable position. When I fully regain my consiousness. I saw Jake looking down at me and I was in his lap. What! His lap... Now I'm fully conscious.

I try to get off his lap but his grip tighten around me.

"Stop moving Mavis you'll hurt yourself."

"I'm perfectly fine." I try again to sit straight but he stop me.

"Stop it Mavis." He said and I huffed in return. No use.

Then I noticed that we were still in the van.

"What happened after I passed out like a child." I giggled at myself. Poor me. He smiles at me, a sad one.

"Noah gets in fight with him and I stopped them. Then he leave. Now Collette is driving this van and Noah is with Maria and Samantha. While everyone is sleeping and you were sleeping on my lap but you wakeup unfortunately." He smiled at me again and I chuckle at his long one-breath sentence.

The van stop with a low jerk and Jake grab me tightly so that I'll not hit something.

"Sorry... My parking problems." Collette apologized from driving seat.

"And now we are at home." Jake said finishing his previous sentence. I smiled at him. Jake slid the door open and get out of the van still carrying me. I can hear Collette shouting. I know she is waking everyone up. More likely killing everyone with her screams.

"Jake put me down. I can walk." I asked Jake but he ignored me.

"Jake my jaw is bruised not my legs." I stated. He look down at me for the last time and slowly put me down.

"Thank you." I smiled at him. Sometimes I want to hug him so tight because he is my best friend who care for me more than anyone and I think he is the only true family I have through think and thin.

I move towards my room that I'm sharing with my foster sister. I changed my dress into PJ's and my over sized shirt.

Now the only thing I've to face is my foster dad. Coming downstairs was not good for me and I know that. My family and all other relatives except Noah was present in the living room. My mom and aunt Jennifer (Aylin and Jakes' mom) were in kitchen, obviously making cookies for everyone or maybe dinner.

Jake smiles at me and patted the place next to him. I smile back and take the place.

"What you said?" It was dad.

"We've so much fun their dad and you know what, Noah gets into a fight." It was Collette, always a daddy's girl. She was sitting beside dad.

"Noah should behave himself around people." Collettes' uncle Jonah said.

"It was not Noah's fault." I said and my foster dad gave me a disgusted look. I know what is this for.

"Dinner is ready." Aunt Jennifer announced from the kitchen.

I don't want to face my dad at the dinning table so I better leave.

"I'm not hungry. I am going to my room." I wispered to Jake and move towards my room as quickly as possible.

Shutting the door behind, I lay on my bed.

Life was not perfect but it was okay but that incident changed many things. If you think I'm a jolly fellow who never care for the world then you are wrong. I'm just too talented to hide my emotions, my feelings and my pains.

Someone knock the door. "Yeah!"

Jake came inside slowly.

"You okay?" He asked.

"Perfectly fine. Except my jaws." I pointed at my jaw and laugh at the bruise.

"Stop laughing. I know you are not feeling okay Mavis." Jake snap at me. "And stop acting that everything is perfectly fine in your life. If you tell me everything, you'll feel relaxed."

"I'm fine Jake." I huffed.

"Then why are you getting nightmares till now."

"Who told you I'm getting nightmares?" I asked worridly.

"Collette."

"I'm gonna kill her." I paused. "Look Jake, nightmares have no connection with I'm fine or not. It's just happen. Nightmares are not in my control."

"Are you serious?" He came and sits beside me on the bed. "Look Mavis-"

"Look Jake." I cut him and pointed at my bruise and then smiles at him.

"You are something." He smiles back.

"Absolutely I'm something." I giggled. Thank God he is distracted.

"I'm tired Jake. I want to sleep." I said to him. He smiles at me move closer and kissed my forehead.

"Night."

"Night." I replied and he went outside shutting the door behind.

I was tied to a chair, panting loudly and he was standing in front of me smirking. No! this can't be happening again. My breathing hitches. I shake my head furiously.

Stop it please.

This can't be happening. A hand landed on my shoulder and my eyes snap open.

Collette was sitting beside me.

"Mavis." She wispered when I look at her.

"It was just a nightmare Mavis." She placed her hand on my forehead and smile at me.

"I know." I wispered and close my eyes again. I don't know how a salty water came in my eyes. I don't want to cry. I'm not some pathetic weak shit. I'm brave and want to prove everyone wrong, especially this foster dad of mine.

Again I was surrounded by blurness​ and sleep hugged me tightly.

"Stop throwing food at me Esme." Millie glared at Esme while cleaning her night suit with tissue paper.

"So what is the plan for today." Noah asked eyeing everyone.

"Hiking." I screamed in Noah's ear.

"****!" He shouted back covering his ears while everyone laugh at us.

"Yeah, I'm in the favor of hiking too." Aylin as always on my side.

"So what are we waiting for." Jake jumped and grab my hand and move towards the garage.

"Hey! I have to change my dress and also I'm not wearing my jogers, you want me to hike in these toms." I pointed at my feet.

"You've only five minutes." He ordered.

I ran towards my room, grab my jogers, drag everyone with me outside. Thank God Aylin was helping me with this dragging thing. She is my best partner after Jake.

Again when I was going to hop in the van, Jake grab me by my waist.

"You! Wait. You are going with me and I don't want to get bored with them again." He asked me while pointing at Samantha and Maria. I laugh and nodded at him.

The drive with Jake was fun except from the talks we listen from Maria and Samantha.

'No that boy was more hot...'

'You noticed his body...'

'No his abs and his hair was pure ****...'

Gross. If you want to talk about these type of shit then don't explain these things in front of everyone. Especially in front of a boy that was sitting beside me and continuously smiling.

When we stopped our car in front of hiking spot, it was not as much crowded as the lake. So I feel more relaxed. Instructor asked us to make groups in pairs.

Noah was with Aylin. It was my plan to combine them as a group. Collette and Esme. Samantha grab Jakes' arm and without Jakes' will he was combined with her. I never want to be with Maria so I requested Millie to be with her. She stomp her feet but paired with her. And now I was left alone.

But I'm not sad about this, it will be fun hiking alone. Jake requested me to hike with him but I gave him some best wishes.

We gathered at the starting spot and from their several paths were erupting. All pairs have to hike alone. And gather again at the finishing spot. Wow, it should be more fun. Instructor gave us some maps and instruct again not to leave the main path. Blah blah.

After hearing all the shit from instructor I started the track 'alone'.

I start jogging on the path slowly, enjoying every single sight of the nature. Listening to the chriping of birds and movement of leaves.

I just love the voices of nature.

The path was beautiful but too silent. And the only thing that was scaring me right now was silence. Sometimes the silence is relaxing. But right now it's scaring the shit out of me.

I start humming my favorite Shawnmendes song 'lost in Japan' to overcome my fear. But now it was not working with my fear.

There was a sharp turn on the path. I take it slowly but the fear of loneliness was still there.

I mentally slap myself for coming here alone.

And then I hear a harsh breathing sound with sobs.

This is end of my life I am going to die ...

I start running backward.
