Life In Another World
Prologue
When I opened my eyes, I was in another world.
I seem to be a part of an influential family for the place I was in was really big.
Well, would you really do this if you're in a financial debt?
Makes sense, right?
Props for the design though.
I came across a window and I was shocked. My eyes slightly widened. Adding it to my confused look, I look funny.
I guess that girl is me.
She is really beautiful.
A maid called a name which seems to be mine.
I jerked my head away from the window.
The name was familiar.
I felt my surroundings turn dark and I started to feel dizzy. I lowered my head and put it in my hand.
It was then that I realized it was a name of a character – whose appearance could be counted on one hand – in a novel.
"....."
It's really good. No kidding.
When I opened my eyes (1)
The girl grabbed her head and stayed still for a while before opening it slowly, still scrunching her face in pain.
Reina
'Damn. Such a disgusting feeling that was...'
The girl looked around and saw the visually appealing interior she seemed to be currently in.
Reina
'What..... Where.....?'
She slowly stood up looking for an exit and walked towards a corner when she found a way out of this seemingly secluded but wide place. As she did so, there was a thud behind her but she didn't care.
Reina
'Why the hell is this taking so long... Imma sue the person who made this this way'
The girl continued walking and saw a row of big windows ahead where an orange hue from the sun was passing through.
She stopped by the first window to look outside. There she saw a garden.
Reina
'Ho... Look at this... Was a garden supposed to be this vast?'
The girl took in the beautiful scenery and was about to continue walking when she was attracted by the hazy figure infront of her.
She took a step to see clearly but to no avail.
It was then that the trees' leaves beyond the window collided, following it was their shadows, creating a sort of canvas with the sun's rays shining through the other windows at the side. A figure of a girl was painted.
Inside the window was a silver haired girl who seemed to be confused looking back at her. Her eyes slightly widened.
Reina
'I guess that girl is me'
The girl jerked her head away from the window and turned toward the source of the voice to find a girl, who seemed to be a servant, coming towards her.
Reina. It was a familiar name.
She slowly blurted out the name.
She recalled the words written on a book cover she briefly saw at the table she was at earlier.
The girl felt her surroundings turn dark and started to feel dizzy. She lowered her head and put it in her hand.
It was then that she realized it was a name of a character in a novel.
Reina
'An extremely insignificant character...'
She looked back at the window and saw a sole grin on a face that was bathed on a now dim light of the sun, surrounded by darkness, looking extremely creepy.
When I opened my eyes (2)
She turned to look at the maid.
This time, the maid froze as she looked at Reina's eyes.
She then walked past her. Not noticing anything weird happening on the maid.
Hailey
'Wha..... What was that.....?'
Chills run down her spine, accompanied by the sense of eeriness and the cold wind that blew from who-knows-where.
A deep sigh came out of Reina's mouth. She finally reached the door.
She opened it and got out before halting, after realizing that she didn't know where to go.
Reina
'Woe of a transmigrator...'
Reina, who wanted to let out another deep sigh, turned her gaze at the right side of the hallway.
Reina
'I should just wander around. Its not like it's forbidden or something... right?'
She stared at the hallway for a moment and decided to go.
Reina
'Whatever. There's no other choice'
She walked and walked, passing by the other rooms. What was odd was that she didn't check the inside if it was her room or not. She had the feeling that it wasn't hers.
Reina stopped infront of the last room and stared at it before going in.
Looking inside, she was shocked.
She didn't know if it was because of 'Reina' or because this room feels like 'hers'.
The things are definitely different but the vibe is similar.
Reina
'Now it won't feel that off living here'
Reina felt happy. She closed the door behind her and walked towards the bed.
Then she laid on the bed and stared at the ceiling.
Thoughts about what to do next filled her mind before falling asleep.
Reina could hear the knocks on the door. The knocks made her think of urgency. Though it wasn't that fast, it was still loud and annoying.
She opened her eyes and glared at the door.
The door opened and a boy that looked like of the same age as Reina came in view.
Ethan
The patriarch is looking for you
Reina
'Patriarch...? Probably Reina's father'
Reina nodded her head in response and was about to get up when she noticed the boy not only isn't leaving but instead coming inside.
Reina
What do you think you're doing?
The boy stopped on his tracks and had an odd expression on his face.
Despite the 'unusual' reaction from her, he continued yapping.
Ethan
Who knows what you'll do now
Reina
And what's that got to do with you?
Ethan
You don't get it do you?
Looking at her confused expression, he smiled brightly and just let it all out.
Ethan
Who knows what accident you'll cause this time you bitch
Reina
'What is this bastard talking about?'
Reina
'Nevermind. I'm really not in the mood right now'
There was a light that flashed by his eyes to his side and after that was the sound of the wall being pierced.
He looked at the direction of the source of sound and found a dagger pierced into the wall.
He felt rage and turned around, filled with murderous intent.
The voice wasn't loud but was very profound. The boy felt chills throughout his body, accelerating his heartbeat.
He then saw her eyes and shivered.
