She climbed down from the bed , and pick her phone from the table beside the bed , The email she saw made her shrink her eyes in displeasure. she opened the content of the email to read further .

" Red Alert , The fraudsters are on the move " she read with a smirk on her face , " At last you guys decided to come out from your hide out .

Angel Smith is the name from Orange city California , The smiths family is a renowned family in the country , Her father owned the largest Restaurants in the city with many branches across the Country.

Angel strolled into the bathroom for a quick bath , kept humming a song to herself in tub , when a knock interrupted her.

Fifteen minutes later she stepped out from the bath with her pink bathrobe on, she walked to the dresser to comb her long shiny dark hair. she accessed her self on the mirror , she's indeed a beauty to behold , with beautiful brown eyes and skin that glitters almost every time she looks at the mirror , she's 5.8 inches tall, with lips as red as Cherie.

Dressed in a plain black skirt with a split at the back exposing her beautiful long legs , and a flowery white shirt tucked in with the skirt that showed her curves that she was endowed with.

Walking down the stairs in a black high heel with pointed like a pencil, clutching her bag and jacket with one arm. when she sighted Elaine waiting for her downstairs with a coffee in hand.

" Elaine , She called , "Yes miss", Elaine walked further to hand her the coffee, "Coffee to energies your day " she said with a smile. Angel took the coffee from her and sip a little coffee from it and gave the cup back to her. And made to walk out from the door when she heard Elaine's voice.

" Young miss , your breakfast?" she said , for Angel to turn ,"Oh that", am late I will have breakfast at the office.

" Young miss , it's still 7:15, you woke up early you might as well have breakfast for another fifteen minutes and besides, "Madam called she said you should have your breakfast every morning before going out " she said for Angel eyes to widen.

" She now calls you , not her own daughter?" what do I expect from a woman always doting on her husband , she said while rolling her eyes.

". Young miss, you know Madam cares for you and your brother , expect that she cherishes her husband more" she said for Angel to smile a little. Seeing her young miss smile Elaine takes it as her cue to coerce her into taking breakfast.

After much persuasions Angel sighed and take a seat , beholding the food , she decided to go for something light so she ate omelette and toasted bread with Tea.

After eating she stoop up , seeing her standing Elaine walked to her with her bag and jacket. Angel took it from her, when she got to the door she turned to Elaine with a look that says " you might as well tell her I had breakfast before leaving. "

Angel stepped out of the house with her car keys in hand , she pressed her key button for her sports car to beep twice and unlock itself. When she sensed movement behind her , and turned to see her driver walking to her with hurried footsteps.

" Jason it's fine I will be driving my self today"

Jason knew what the young miss will eventually say if he insisted only nodded and stepped back , " I will take a taxi to the company later to drive you home , Incase you over stress yourself like yesterday " . He purposely said so as stay on her safe side not knowing he infuriated her.

" What"? Angel asked him with her voice showing signs of anger

" Young miss " , have you forgotten yesterday you were so stressed that you slept in the car on the way home " .

Angel hissed in remembrance of the past day occurrence , when she heard the info that the fraudsters where it again that the duped an old woman leaving no trace. She over stressed her self looking for clues that will help her nail there location , but eventually end up with dead end , because she can't get across to Adams .

Speaking of Adams she made a note at the back of her mind to call him and give him a piece of her mind for leaving her hanging. she stamped her foot on the ground . noticing Jason is still there she tried to cover her emotions with a slight shrug .

"Jason , I understand your fears, that I might over stress my self today again eventually resulting me sleeping while driving or puting myself to danger" . she said all at a go. " What the hell did this people take her for ? , a princess that can't protect herself?, anyways how can she totally blame them they don't know her other identify of course , she said to herself.

". you know what Jason I will give you a call after closure to pick me up" she said hoping to convince Jason because out of all the guards her father assigned to her he's the one that persevered till date, and also understand her.

" Ok young miss , on the condition that you will take care while driving" he said like a father giving instructions to his kid daughter.

" I heard you Jason " I will be going then ", she waved at him and drove off for the later to wave back when the car is out of side.

Truth is that Jason knew his young miss identity but decided to keep it to him self , because he believed she will tell him when she deemed fit, he wanted to earn her trust so he intends helping her in the shadows without her prior knowledge with an undisclosed identity. He knows what made the young miss decide to grow strong and help the weak, he can't help but sigh when he remembered her kidnap when she was still a teen and the trauma she passed through, since then he has been on her side despite her proving stubborn and not needing help .

Deep down he knew she's still a lonely soul seeking for comfort , he fished out his phone and send a text to anonymous with three word s " Check her gps" after sending it he turned and walked inside with light footsteps .

Angel drove straight to her company underground garage, she drove to her own private slot and parked, turning off the engine she made to walk out when she saw anonymous incoming call knowing who would dare call her with an unknown number picked the call with out much haste.

". Yes, Adam you better have a good excuse for leaving me hanging yesterday you know better than anyone else how important that was to me"!! to hollered on the phone.

On the receiving end Adam who was lying leisurely on the bed with his cellphone in hand on hearing Angel's infuriated voice sat up from the bed with a start , panic written allover his face . He knew he had to pacify her or else the outcome will be disastrous for him,.

Smiling to himself he knew the tactics that normally work on her , he keyed into it at once.

". My , my ,my , Angel you've managed to break the remnants of my heart , while am still trying to pick up the pieces that's left of what Ella broke. he said with voice as though he is heartbroken.

Hearing him sound like that Angel's anger came down a little, with voice laden with emotion " Adam what is it ?" who is Ella? she asked at once hoping for an immediate answer. but what followed it was a long silence.

" Adams say something I don't have all day please "! she try coercing him to tell him the situation . but what she heard was a long sigh.

" Adam "!

Noticing he had caught her attention , he smiled and continued further, " The last time we spoke you advised me to go on date to relieve my stress and boredom , I tried doing what you told me to , I met this Ella girl on Hangouts and asked her out she concurred , for me to book a restaurant and she.... stood .....me ...up " he said in between fake tiny sobs . Knowing Angel attitude towards him she could stop at nothing to pacify him . As if he read her mind.

Angel bit her lower lip when she heard him , she knew it was her fault because of Adam's situation he can't handle such things she thought of a way to pacify him ,

" Hey , hey, it's alright I get it , I know what to do, ok?

Adam smiled and replied ok "ok"

Seeing that it's working Angel continued to distract him further

" Now breathe in and out " she told him , for Adam to do as she instructed ,

". ok , Adams I will get back to you later ok, meanwhile continue to what makes you happy , and in the meantime check out those emails I sent you yesternite. I almost lost it when I couldn't reach you , so please keep your mental health in check alright ?"

*" Alright , I will check it out and send it to your mail in an hour time , I got your back . stay safe ok? Adam said to get her reply

In truth that's not what happened but Adams didn't want to trouble her , cos she had done enough for her .

knowing Angel if he told her that he had a terrible headache all through the night , she will book the next flight or drive 4 hours to come and meet him. that's how strong the bond the share is.

Adam fears is that his time is almost up and he didn't want to drag Angel further into it , she had helped him enough during their kidnap as teens and after their escape from that hell .
