Prologue
The second child of the Izumi's
A family well known for their talent in the art of dance
A dance that's meant to tell a story through movement
A dance that is graceful and classical
Only danced by the fanciest of the fancy, greatest of the great, the most hard-working of the hard-working or richest of the rich
At a young age little Itzuki was destined to carry out the family's legacy in dance
Was to be the next CEO of their father's company
Little Itzuki found himself entranced in another dance
A dance that defied his family's high and classical standards
A dance that was wild and crazy
A dance that entailed strong rhythmic beats
The complete opposite of ballet
However his new liking to this dance
Lead an issue between him and his mother
Little Itzuki
(Tears running down his cheek)
Ms. Izumi
Itzuki please, stop this nonsense at once
Little Itzuki
But I don't wanna dance ballet!
Little Itzuki
Please mama! I don't wanna!
As he continued shouting these words over and over, anger slowly built up within his mother chest...
Little Itzuki
I wanna try other dances! Like this one called hip-
Little Itzuki
(Fall backwards and is stunned)
Ms. Izumi

Ms. Izumi
You will be home schooled from now on
He raised his head looking into her cold and serious gaze
His eyes widened in shock and more tears began to flow
She turned and walked away
Little Itzuki
Mama..n-no...
Ms. Izumi
(Stops and looks at him)
Ms. Izumi
Your father and I only want what's best for you and your sister
She walked towards him before kneeling in front of him
Placing a hand against the cheek she had slapped, her expression changed from angry and cold
Ms. Izumi
Itzuki, my dear...
To sweet and loving as she spoke...
Ms. Izumi
The art of ballet has been danced in our family from generations...
Ms. Izumi
You are free to do any other dance you'd like...
Itzuki's face immediately lit up
Ms. Izumi
However, it must fit our family's standards
Little Itzuki
W-what does that mean?
Ms. Izumi

Hip-hop was and still is, the enemy of ballet
He loved dancing, and Hip hop was his favorite
The older he got, the more he progressed in every dance category

Nazu was interrupted by Katzuki's sinister chuckle, he turned to Katzuki to see a smirk plastered on his face

Nazu
And either way, I was talking about that dance club-
Nazu
You know, the one that Su's cousin owns?
Katzuki

Su said that it's the weekly hip-hop dance off tonight, so 'he' might show up tonight

I'm not sure what that's about either, all she said was to meet her at the club and she'd explain

I suppose it'd be rude if we kept her waiting

It's a dance club with a dance off

That's the only reason I'm going with you
They made a turn into an ally, making their way to the door with green lights
Nazu
You know I feel like you don't like me
Katzuki
If I didn't like you, we wouldn't be friends
Nazu swipe the card by the door handle before it opened, their eyes meeting a purple neon staircase
They reached into their pockets, taking out their phones to see a message from Su
Su
/Where are you guys? Hurry up it's almost time!/
Katzuki
It's that important?
Nazu
Maybe she's got a boyfriend?
Katzuki
Pfft- I doubt that
They made their way upstairs and through the corridor, standing face to face with the inner entrance to the club
Using their cards, they open the door
Their eyes were met with colourful flashy lights, and ears with loud music
Dragging them through the immense crowd, they make their way to the upper section of the club, overlooking the dance floor
Su turned to them and couldn't help looking at their outfits
Su
OMG- For once you guys actually look nice
Nazu
HEY WHAT'S THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN!
Su
Relax I was just joking Nazu, no one can compete with your sense of fashion
Nazu
Hmph! It's good that you atleast know your place
Katzuki
Alright alright enough with the jokes, why did you want us here?
Suddenly the loud music stopped
And everyone's attention was directed to the DJ
Emi [Su's Cousin]
All right everyone it's time for what you've all been waiting for!
Emi [Su's Cousin]
Contestants! Please step forward and on the dance floor!
A few people stepped forward
But soon, everyone's attention fell on the last contestant who stepped onto the battleground
Su
The Phantom...he looks as mysterious as they said he would...
Nazu
Sooo, your boyfriend?
Su
What - no- of course not-

But if he was, I'd be one lucky girl
Katzuki
So who is he exactly?

People around here call him the Phantom

As far as information goes, no one knows what he looks like, nor where he came from

Some even say it's quite rare to see him here

He might seem like a level 4

But the way he dances strongly indicate that he might be a level 17 dancer

Oh my, looks like Kazuki might have some competition~

Most of the new contestants upon seeing the Phantom, immediately backed out

The loud sound of music and a roaring crowd were in the air
Battled on the dance floor

A slight smile crept on his face as the dance off continued, getting more and more intense as the contestant and the Phantom danced head to head

ALRIGHT PEOPLE! THAT WAS AN INTENSE BATTLE! DON'T YOU THINK?!
Emi [Su's Cousin]
BOTH DANCERS DID AMAZING, BUT AS YOU KNOW THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE WINNER!!!

SO WITHOUT ANY DELAYS TURN YOUR HEADS TO THE SCOREBOARD!!
Pressing a button on her board, a holographic loading screen appeared on the wall
Everyone's eyes eagerly waiting to see the scores
Contestant [Green]
Phantom [Blue]

*His scores are impressive...*
Emi [Su's Cousin]
The contestant was close, but not close enough!
Emi [Su's Cousin]
THE PHANTOM WINS!

NO WAY!!! HIS SCORES ARE AMAZING!!! THERE'S NO LOGICALLY REASONABLE WAY HE'S A LEVEL 17!!!

I'M PRACTICALLY QUAKING IN MY BOOTS!

IT'S LOOKS KATZUKI REALLY MIGHT HAVE SOME COMPETITION!

The two turn to look at Katzuki but saw that he wasn't there
Su's gaze immediately returned to the dance floor, however it was too late...
Hearing her words, Nazu shifted his gaze back to the dance floor, trying to locate what Su looking at
Su
And now the Phantom's vanished...
Meanwhile on the dance floor
[The contestant]
*Aw man...so close!*
[The contestant]
*Oh well...at least I tried, and it was quite fun too!*
[The contestant]
*Wait- where's the Phantom-*
Emi [Su's Cousin]
*Looks like the Phantom's vanished again...*
Emi [Su's Cousin]
*Hm...(inner chuckles), not to worry though...*
Emi [Su's Cousin]
(Smiles)
While Su and Nazu were in the club searching for Kazuki, he was busy searching or rather "following" a little Phantom
Katzuki
*Hm...so this is how he's able to leave unseen...*
Out of nowhere the Phantom began running, this sudden act surprised Katzuki, however his instinct pushed him chased after him
Katzuki
*I know this probably isn't the smartest idea, but it's all I've got right now*
To running on roof tops, jumping from one to the other
Katzuki was still on the Phantom's tail
On the second to last building, they jump to final one
But while trying to land, Katzuki managed to grab hold off the Phantom [Itzuki]. However, this led to them crash landing, then somehow find themselves ending up in a not so "nice" position
Both of them panting, trying to catch the breathes
[The Phantom]
(Pant) (Pant) (Pant)
Katzuki
(Pant) My, my, my~
Katzuki
It looks like I've caught the uncatchable Phantom himself~
Itzuki kept his eyes closed and didn't dare himself to look at the man who had him pinned to the roof
[The Phantom]
U-unhand me-
Katzuki's grip was strong, ensuring that Itzuki wouldn't run off again
However for Itzuki, it was kinda painful as his grip slowly got tighter
Causing him to tremble a bit
Katzuki
I wonder why your identity is kept as secret my dear Phantom...
Katzuki
Please Little Phantom, do tell?~
Katzuki whispers in his ear, causing Itzuki's heart to beat faster and faster from fear?
[The Phantom]
I-I DON'T NEED TO TELL YOU ANYTHING!!
[The Phantom]
U-UNHAND ME!! WHO EVER YOU ARE!!
Katzuki could feel Itzuki's body trembling beneath him. He whispered in his ear once again
Katzuki
How about you open your eyes...and I'll let you go...?
Itzuki could feel Katzuki's hot breath brushing against his neck, his heart beat started to increase rapidly...
He refused to believe that as such a man would release him so easily
But in the midst of desperation...
Itzuki was mesmerized by the stranger's appearance. His eyes and the stranger's were locked, as if we're traveling through hell and back
They stared at each other for a while, both lost in each other's never ending gaze. Katzuki's hands slowly let go of Itzuki's, allowing him to move freely
Now sitting apart from each other they continue to stare, Itzuki's heart beating faster and faster and Katzuki's slowly catching on
Itzuki soon after realized what he was doing and stood up as fast as he could, about to run once again
Katzuki
You have beautiful eyes...
Itzuki stopped, his cheeks flushing a tad red
Before smiling a bit, turning and looking at Katsuki
Though it wasn't visible through his mask
[The Phantom]
I could say the same for yours sir, thou...I hope we don't meet again...
After saying that, he ran before jumping off the roof
Falling into an ally below
Katzuki
(Runs to the edge then stops)
He looked down into where the Phantom had jumped, only to see no one there
Katzuki
*He sure can live to his name...*
[Later]
[Outside the club]
Nazu
We've been looking everywhere where for you!
Su
What are you doing out here anyways?
Katzuki
The dance battle was over, so I thought I'd go home, but then I saw something...
Katzuki
I'm not sure, it went by so fast-
Nazu
(Sigh) Nevermind that, you know what they say
Su
Curiosity killed the cat!
Katzuki
*Though really, in the end...*
Katzuki
*The cat caught what made him curious...*
