Every girls dream about marrage is meeting their prince charm in a lovely evening, falling in love, having a date with him and finally getting married but in my case here I am in my wedding facing a complete stranger who's going to be my husband except the fact that he is few inches taller than me with silver hair covering his eyes lucky me can't even see his full face even so he has short nose and thin lips wonder how his teeth look like. Also don't know whether he can see me or not but what can I do if I want to save my grandma I need to marry him . Get a grip on yourself Aruvi you can do this.

that's when the priest asked me

"Aruvi are you willing to take Bhoomi's hand in happiness and sorrow to be your lawfully wedded husband" and I replied by strengthening my poor heart "yes my lord". then he moves on with the groom.

Few days before in Aruvi's home.

Grandma Lakshmi I am home where are you as I search for my grandma I see a pool of blood in the floor and panicked to see my grandma in a miserable state she was stabbed in her belly lying in the ground lifeless. I quickly ran to her side and checked for her pulse it was faint but I can hear the breathing of my grandma.

I started to tear up as the realisation kick in that if grandma is dead then there won't be anyone else for me to call a family. My parents died in an accident when I was 5 yrs old my grandpa was long dead even before my birth I only have my grandma but now she is in this state.

What did I do wrong why do I have to face so many problem when I am just 17. I pushed back all the negative thoughts behind my mind and called for ambulance.

Here I am in the hospital waiting outside the ICU hearing nothing but the strokes of time hopping for my grandma to be saved.

my face was sticky and dry due to all the crying and soon I started to sleep as the silence engulf me to my past memories and now I am in my dream squatting in front of a hibiscus 🌺 flower. In a distance I heard my grandma calling me Aruvi..Aruvi.. the sound came louder and louder suddenly I woke up to see my distant aunt Kowsalya waking up me.

As soon as I saw my distance aunt Kowsalya tears started to flow in my eyes and I hugged my aunt saying Aunt Kowsalya I am so scared I don't know what to do please do something.

Aunt patted my head and said it's okay Aruvi I am here don't worry nothing will happen to your grandma.

Just now I checked with the doctor and he said after a small operation your grandma will be as good as new but the problem is that the hospital is asking rupees 10 lakh for the operation fees. Now your uncle and I don't know where to get so much money.

I thought to myself and asked aunt 10 lakhs where can we go for that much money aunt isn't there anyway I could help. she hesitated for a bit moment and said.

There is one but I don't know whether you will be okay or not.

immediately I replied Please aunt I will do anything to save grandma please tell me.

Fine I will tell it's that you need to marry the Indra company's son. Few days before they proposed to marry your elder sister Kalai with some betrothal gifts worth 10 laks. If you are willing to marry the Indra's son instead of Kalai we can get the money and save grandma Lakshmi.What do you say?.

It's around 4:00 pm and now we are in my husband's place Indra Villa were my father in law Kannan Indra and my mother in law Kundavi Indra reside and this villa is neither remote nor close to city also.

It was so beautiful with many statues and gardens at the entrance with huge villa at the center unlike my home with grandma which was small. I was feeling sad due to the thought of grandma's health.

After we entered the villa a maid guided me to sit in the couch and I thanked her for that. I felt a little awkward since all the maid in the hall were passing words with each other in a whispering sound and some of them even showed disrespect by snearing and laughing.

I don't know what to do it was so uncomfortable to get everyone's gaze so I tired to look in my husband Bhoomi's direction he was standing in front of a table unaffected by the maids scrutinizing gaze as if they didn't exist at all.

I was so confused and immediately heard someone laughed and said Congratulation brother I don't know who he was since he didn't attend the wedding.

Kavi don't be impolite to your brother and did you bring the documents I asked.

He replied yes mom and handed over the stack of paper to mother in law Kundavi. That's when it hit me he must be my husband's brother.

After receiving the paper from brother in law Kavi mother in law Kundavi handed a piece of document in my hand as well as in my husband's hand saying.

Bhoomi as per our agreement here you go the property Vanavil Illam has registered under your name.

After you signed it we won't have anything to do with each other you can go in your way and we will be in ours. All the whispering sound increased suddenly and with an irritated face mother in law Kundhavi shouted silence after that the maids went silent and the villa was in pin drop silence.

Bhoomi read the document and signed the papers. After that mother in law Kundhavi turned to me and asked dear Aruvi the document in your hand is the divorce paper.

If you sign it you will get the privilege of being the adopted daughter of Indra family but if you didn't then you will be leaving this villa as Mrs.Bhoomi What do you say?

Now I saw my husband Bhoomi remove his wedding ring and placed it in the table and walked towards me. I was confused by his action I don't know what he is going to do next.

He suddenly grabbed my hand and removed

my wedding ring and placed it beside his ring on the table and said let's go.

After that he walked out of the villa now I am totally confused I didn't turn back to look anyone I just followed my husband Bhoomi.

Now it's around 6:00 pm and my husband is walking in front of me dragging his suitcase in the sidewalk while I drag my suitcase beside me passerby can see we are newly wedded because we are still in the same couples green dress. My gown was full length light green colour with grey glittering patterns of floral it was simple yet beautifull enough to get married.

He was wearing a dark green suit having green floral pattern at the hems of the grey shirt. Now I can only see his broad back from behind.

We were walking for 30 minutes but it didn't affect me because I used to do lots of jobs in my home with my grandma. I was thinking about my past memories with my grandma and bumped into a hard wall.

Wait a minute what wall I was following my husband shit I bumped into his back and I was about to say Sorry to him while looking up to meet his head turned sideways towards me.

I could only see half of his face his eyes were totally covered with his bangs what the hell how could he even see through those bangs I was wondering myself. May be he has some scars from child hood anyway soon or later I am gonna know so whats the point of worrying now.

Bhoomi said let's get in and gestured me to follow him. I turned to see a one story house it was not big yet it was not small also it had a medium empty area at front of the house not sure how it's gonna look in the backyard.

The door had a name tag as Vanavil Illam(Rainbow Home) my husband opened the door to see dust and webs were everywhere covering the necessary materials in the house.

I am pretty sure some one must have lived here previously and left unattended. He went in and I followed him he placed his suitcase in the hall and started to look around the house and tried to switch on the lights surprisingly they were lit too.

There was a narrow stairs at the hall leading to the first floor. I followed him and we saw three doors two doors was facing each other and the other was at the end of the walkway.

we discovered that the two doors facing each was rooms and the other at the end was bathroom.

He stoped in front of the two rooms and asked me which one do you want and I pointed to the one in the right side which has backyard window with a tree by its side it was so beautifull to see the mountains view from the window since it is a remote area.

Then he took the room which has front yard and that room also had mountain view yet few houses at the opposite can also be seen. Those houses was also empty. I think the former people were moved to city area since it is too remote.

Then we went down to take a further look of the house were the hall has attached kitchen in it and a door to back yard. since it started to get darker the birds chirping sound got reduced and it was getting more and more silent.

Bhoomi my husband asked what do you want for dinner. I thought for few seconds and said two dosa is enough for me. He nodded and went out without saying anything further.

I didn't think much and started to search for the cleaning utensils and started dusting out the home since it is going to be my home from now on it took an hour but I cleaned the house completely since cleaning is my favourite job and the water supply was good but cold since it is in mountain area.

I took a bath and changed to my grey pyjamas. It was a dark grey mid thigh shorts with a button up light grey shirt.

I came down to see whether Bhoomi my husband has returned home or not. I was started to panick since it is too isolated in here and I don't even have my husband's contact information to check whether he is okay or not and my mind started to think whether did he get into an accident and all other scary stuffs.

Surprisingly the door was opened to reveal him standing healthy while holding the food package. Jeez I forgot he went to buy food for us.

He was surprised to see the home without dust and web and asked me did you clean this alone.

I cooly replied yeah pretty much great right I am an expert in this domain. I cleaned your room too you don't need to worry.

He was even more surprised and I think I saw a little curve at the corner of his thin lips.

Then he went inside the kitchen picked two plates from the stand and placed the food pack and plate on top of the table. Actually this table is too low because technically we need to sit on the floor to eat on the table.

We started to eat in peace. And exchanged our contacts. Soon we finished our dinner and due to heavy work the tiredness kicked in me and I went to sleep in my room saying goodnight to him.

Bhoomi's point of view.

My only thought was getting back my mother's share of property from my aunt Kundhavi. In the past my mother loved a man and went against my grandfather Azhagar Indra to marry him and in the fit of anger my grandfather Azhagar also wrote all the property under my Aunt Kundavi's name but my Grandmother Andal wrote one property Vanavil Illam under my Mother Valli Indras name.

I don't know what happened but my grandfather Azhagar said that me and my mother went under an accident and unfortunately I lost my mother. Since it happened when I was 2-3 yrs old I don't remember either about my mother or my father. One of the main reason I need to get this house because it may have some clue about my mother and father.

Due to some transactions this one and only property also went under my Aunt Kundavi's name but since it is in a remote area she gave it to me under the condition of marrying the Varma family daughter.

I know they will make me loose face when returning to the main Indra Villa and that also happened by proposing the divorce document to my wife Aruvi. I know they want to humiliate me by making me loose my wife on the wedding day itself but to everyone's surprise she chose me instead of the wealthy life. I was happy from my heart since someone in my entire life stood by my side in support of me and it was more than enough for me to cherish her.

Few days before marriage I was working in a supply shop for rupees 4000 inorder to accomodate my school fees and now found a new part time job with monthly income of Rupees 8000 since I need to take care of my wife after getting married. This new job is also a whole sale market supply shop named Ravi Supply.

My shift at the shop was 7:30-8:30 am in the morning then 4:00-7:00pm at the evening. Since i am a final year high school student the owner also didn't mind letting me to work.

Fast forward to wedding day here I am in front of my mother's home everything was better than I expected it would be but this area was too remote for residence but I don't have any money left to stay in the hotel also I can afford for both of us necessities for this month.

I took the room which has front yard view and went to buy dinner for us. It seems i need to walk for 15 minutes to reach the necessary grocery shops and food stalls.

It took more time than I expected for buying the food and hurried home to see what my wife is doing since I didn't get her contact information to reach out to her whether she needs anything else to buy.

I rushed back home and opened the door to see her standing in the hall with worried expression written all over her face.

was she worried about me I thought to myself but couldn't voice out loud to ask her since it was my first time to have a girl around me it was a little bit awkward you know.

She was changed into her pyjamas and it looked good on her. She had a neck length brown hair with brown eyes and looked cute for me. Even more surprising is the house was dust and web free oh my god she cleaned the entire house. I didn't know the Varma family daughter would do such jobs but still I felt little relived to see her having some spirit in cleaning.

We chatted a little and ate in peace after that exchanged contacts for emergency.

and I saved her name as beloved wife. It's not that I love her but still need to give her what she deserves right.
