Eve's Pov-

I woke up in the morning when my alarm started ringing. I switched it off and pushed the blanket off me. I sat up and stretched myself. I hope today's day won't be like everyday. It's 9 in the morning and I have to reach my at the library by 10. I work in the library as a keeper. I wore my slippers and went to the bathroom to clean myself.

After I'm done cleaning myself, I wrap a towel around my wet body and come out. I go to my wooden closet and a remove a pair of jeans and a hoodie.

I tie my hair in a bun because I know that it's going to get ruined once I step outside. I pick up my bag and put my charger and earphones in it. I wear my sneakers and step out of the my apartment.

I wait for the lift and while waiting my neighbour and her dog came outside.

Mrs Maria- Good morning Eve.

Mrs.Maria said while his dog was smelling me. I patted his head.

Me- Good morning Mrs Maria. How are you doing? I missed you Joe!

I said while the dog licked my face. I kneeled down and patted him.

Mrs. Maria- I'm all good honey.

We talked for a bit until we reached the ground floor from the lift. I bid her goodbye and went on my way.

It was a 15 minute walk from my home to the library so I took a short route from the alley. I had never seen anyone there and I had used that route many times so for me it was safe.

I was walking when I heard some people fighting ahead but now if I turned around, I'll be late. I hid behind the wall and peeked on the right to see what was happening. I saw some men in suits and a man on his knees.

He was begging one of the man that held something on his head. I gulped and decided to take the long route instead of this one. As I turned around I saw someone staring at me. Even he wore a suit. "Damn it." I cursed under my breath as I was a having a bad feeling.

He gripped my hair and I screamed. "Let go of me! I swear I wasn't intentionally watching it!" I was hitting his arm but all in vain. He dragged me to the other men in the alley.

He pushed me and I fell down in dirt. My clothes all muddy. I looked up too see all eyes on me. "She was peeking from there." The guy who dragged me here said.

One man who was very scary and had a cut on his eyebrow kneeled down and pushed my hair back. "Now tell me what were you doing before I ask my men to r@pe you and then kill you."

I immediately backed up and pushed his hands away. How can he say something like that? "I-I was just passing when I heard some voices. I decided to see what was happening but- but then I remembered I had to reach to my work so-" My hair was gripped once again but this time it was a very rough grip.

"If I find that you're lying, then my Bella it won't be good for you." I shook my head as no and he left me. I could feel tears running down my cheek. "C-Can I go now?" I asked in hope that he would leave me.

"What do you think I am?" he said while lighting a cigrette and taking a puff. "I don't trust you so you won't go. I'm taking you with me." He said as if he was doing something so legal. This is kidnapping! "You can't! This is kidnapping!" I shouted. "Do you think I don't know? And better keep your voice down if you don't want me to kill that man right in front of you." He said and glared at the man who was crying in a corner.

"P-Please sir- let me go." I begged once again but-

Eve's Pov-

Something hard hit my head and black dots started to appear. Soon I was pulled in a deep slumber.

Xander's Pov-

I'm going to kill this man today. How many months has it been? 9? 10? I can't remember but today is his last.

My men held him while I kicked his stomach making him throw up blood.

"Tch. What a pain in the ***."

I clicked my tongue while that man sat on his knees trying to say something.

"P-Please Mr.Volkov- give me some t-time. I'll make sure to pay you by end of the month."

The old man said and I gritted my teeth.

What do they take me for? I removed my gun from my pocket and was playing with it. I could see the terror in his eyes.

"I hate liars. You should've known that by now." I said and placed the gun point on his head. He joined his hands and kept begging me to show him some mercy.

I was going to shoot when I heard a girl say something. I turned to look at that way and saw James dragging a girl near me. Two kills today.

Short hair, petite body, small figure, dull eyes, weak body language.

She was pushed down and her clothes were all dirty. Like I care.

"She was peeking." James said.

I can't do my work properly can I? Someone has to disturb me right?

She was trembling at my mercy and I liked it. People was tremble after seeing me but she was different. I don't know how but she is.

I kneeled down and pushed her hair back. Smooth.

I threatened her to say the truth and seems like she wasn't planning on getting involved. But I can't trust her yet.

It can be a trap too. Who knows.

But she's too innocent to kill me.

I stood up and was puffing on my cigrette when she asked if she could leave.

I'm not ready to leave her yet. I want to use her and then after I'm done, I'll leave her.

I want to see her vulnerable, pathetic, living on my support. She shouldn't do anything without me.

I signalled my men to make her unconscious and James hit her on her head.

"Should've hit her a bit softly you shit." I said while walking towards the girl.

"It's not as if you care, so why?" James asked, I could feel the taunt in his sentence.

It's true though. Why would I care?

Her body limp, lying in dirt looked pretty. I looked at her face closely not caring that my men were staring at me.

She's pretty. Her look is innocent and she looks defenceless. I can kill her with just few slaps and kicks. I let out a small laugh.

"Pick her up and put her in the car. And for the man, he should be in my base." I said and went to my car. I sat and drove to my mansion.

Eve's POV:-

I woke up with a strong pain in my head. I looked around to see a dark room. The lights are off I guess. Is it day or night? I realised that I'm on a bed- big enough to fit 6 people.

I stood up but because of my headache I held my head. Something soft under my legs. I saw light coming through and I went there. It was curtains. I pulled them open and it was night. Only the moonlight coming in. I saw outside and saw people in black suits and a pond in the middle. Many trees. Even a swimming pool!

I remember what happened! He hit my head and I fell unconscious. Because of the moonlight, I could see everything now. I went towards the door and opened it.

I walked out of the room and saw a long passage. I was walking when I heard some voiced from another room.

"When is she going to wake up?"

"It's time for her to wake up."

"Do you want me to check Boss?"

"Not yet."

Are they talking about me?! I decided to slow my steps so they won't hear me. I'll have to run from here. I can't trust these men.

I tip-toed and was going down the stairs when I saw a woman in a maid dress. I slowly went to her and pulled her in a corner where no one could see us.

"What are you doing young miss?!" she screamed silently.

"Shhh!" I kept my finger on her mouth and looked around. No one.

"Are you looking for master?" she asked.

"No! No! Don't let him know I'm awake. I need to get out of here and you will help me." I said silently, only enough for us to hear.

"Young miss I can't." she looked guilty.

"Good you said no. I was going to kill you." he said.

I turned around slowly to see him standing there.

I bit my lips.

"I'm sorry master. Please don't punish me!" the maid girl immediately got on her knees and begged.

What the h€ll?

"Out. Now." he just said this and the girl stopd up and went away.

Now it was only me and him. I gulped.

"Quite a runner I see. Are you lesbian?" he asked.

"Excuse me?" I immediately blurted out. "No I'm not. I'm straight as a pole."

He just nodded. "Good. When did you wake up? I'm sure you heard something."

"I didn't. I don't even know where were y'all. Wish I knew." I lied. Lying is the only thing which can save me now.

He stepped closer and made me look at him again. His perfect jaw line can cut my heart and I can drown in his eyes. A Greek god. My heart fluttered. I felt butterflies in my stomach by just looking at him. God took time to creat him.

"Am i handsome?" he said and I came out of my dreamland.
