“Thank you Martha.” She thanked the woman behind a counter of her favorite coffee shop. “Come next time dear! It’s always a pleasure.” Martha chuckled before Rose stepped out of the door. The wind rushed past her orange brown curly hair as she glanced at the stars. It’s a beautiful night tonight, she thought as she held onto her warm coffee before walking into the dark streets of New York with her amber eyes shining with amazement.

She wasn’t barely a few steps away when goosebumps start crawling on her neck. Rose quickly glanced around. Nothing. There was not a living soul in site. She quickly picked up a faster pace. “I just need to make it through the park and I’ll be back home.” She reassured herself, but she still felt like she was being followed. Rose saw the parks gates just a few meters away and she began to slowly walk again. When she was finally safe and hidden by bushes, she looked back into the darkness. There was still no one. “Maybe I’m imagining things?” She murmured. Her mind then flashed back to the past where she saw freaky creatures with horns around a crying baby boy. She also remembered the time she was walking home with her friends when she saw a figure lurking in the darkness. All her friends thought she was crazy and just laughed at her, but she knew there was something. She wasn’t hallucinating or even being psycho, she saw what she saw. “Miss! Miss!?” Someone shouted in the distance. Rose finally came back to reality and glanced around. She finally saw a small built security guard heading her way. “We are going to close the park and we ask you to leave!” He shouted, clearly frustrated. “Oh..uhh sorry!! I didn’t know sir.” Rose shouted back. The security guard was finally standing a few meters away from her. “Where were you heading?” He asked. “I-I was walking my usual route back to my apartment sir.” She stuttered a little. Policemen- or woman always made her nervous!! “Oh, very well then miss. Continue your way through the park to get home safely.” He smiled before starting to whistle and walked of to the gate where she entered a couple of minutes ago. “Thank you!!” She shouted before quickly walking back. She did felt safer with the policeman with her, but she wasn’t going to ask him to walk with her back home. That would have been to awkward and embarrassing.

When Rose finally made it in her apartment she tried to turn on the lights. “Damn it. Stupid electricity!” She’d place her empty cup on the table near the door. She unfortunately drank everything on her way back through the park. Grabbing her phone from her back pocket she headed to the kitchen. She scanned the area with her phone flash for the power switch. When she saw it she pulled the small lever down and her apartment lit up. Her apartment wasn’t that big and it wasn’t very fancy, but she managed with it. She walked back to the door and locked it while grabbing her empty cup and throwing it into the trash can. Rose made her way through the living room and entered her room. The wind breeze lifted up her window curtains. Odd. Weren’t they closed? Slowly she stepped forward before pulling the certains away revealing the open window. She’d quickly closed it before pulling her certains back and made her way to the bathroom. After quickly brushing her teeth she hopped into her bed. “Hmmmm. Cozy and warm.” Rose mumbled as she snuggled into her sheets...

About an hour later there was a loud thump and she immediately woke up. Rose looked around holding her blankets in front of her. Maybe there’s nothing? When she finally got the urge to lay back down and sleep again. She felt unsettled and uncomfortable. She slowly stood up and shivered. W-why is it so cold? The room felt like the North Pole. “Ugh. The air conditioner is probably broken...” She quickly grabbed her robe from the closet and walked out into her small and now ice cold living room. Rose made her way to the kitchen. Next to the power switch there was a small box with red, yellow, blue and white cord and buttons. She quickly noticed that the blue cord wasn’t in its correct place. Grabbing the blue cord she placed it into its hole. “There we go.” She’d mumble proudly and the living room slowly started coming back to its normal temperature. When she entered her room it was still ice cold. Just when she wanted to say something she saw something move near the window. She didn’t dare to move as she watched it. Something sat near the window with the cold breeze brushing its hair and flapping the certains. She couldn’t see what it was but she could tell that it looked quite human except for the slightly pointy ears and glowing red and blue eyes and those eyes were staring straight into hers. She needed to get out, but her body wouldn’t move, it was glued to the ground. When Rose finally blinked the window was open and it was gone.

“W-What on earth...” She’d mutter and walked closer to the window. How did he even get in? The window isn’t even broken! Couldn’t have left it open, right?... Rose leaned out of the window glancing around and staring into the distance. Maybe Stephanie and Juri were right, maybe a therapist will help with this. The thought formed in her mind as she pulled her certains close again. Crawling back into her bed she looked at the ceiling. Hopefully tomorrow will be normal. She thought before slowly closing her eyes and drifting of to sleep. Rose woke up in a strange place and someone was standing in front of her.

“W-Who are you?” Rose bravely asked. “You’ll find out sooner or later my Tulip.” The voice chuckled before lifting up her chin. “Now sleep...”

“Ahhhh!!!” Rose bolted upright as she screamed. Clutching her sheets in her arms as she calmed her breathing. Only a dream Rose, only a dream. The sun krept past her certains as she layed down again.

Her eyes started slowly closing. She was exhausted. Wait, I’m forgetting something. WORK!! The thought flashed past her mind as she sit upright. She’d grab her phone. Oh hell, it’s already 8am!! Rose leaped our of her bed and rushed to her bathroom. She quickly hopped into the shower. After she was finished showering she climbed out and dried herself with a towel, leaving her hair wet. She quickly brushed her teeth and went back to her room. Rose grabbed her yellow skirt and a white shirt. Tucking the shirt under her skirt she quickly walked back to the bathroom. Putting on some lipstick and eyeliner she rushed back to her room getting her hairbrush and throwing it in her handbag. She rushed into the living room. With a bag in one hand she open the door with the other. The morning aroma hit her face like a tennis racket. Focus on getting to work Rose!! She locked her door and rushed down to the road. Where’s the taxi?? She sighed. Better walk then. As she ran through the park she noticed a lot of people glancing at her like she’s a lunatic or something. Clearly her wavy orange brown hair was messy as hell today. She continued to run and she past her favorite coffee shop and a smile crept up on her lips. Almost there. The sun was already dancing on the glass windows as she walked into her work building. She’d press the button ear the elevator and it opened.

She walked in and immediately the elevator took off. It took her to the 6th floor. She walked into her work area. “Good Morning girl!!” Juri shouted behind her desk. “Morning Juri.” She answered. Juri is one of her best friends and she loves getting attention, she’s funny and also pretty. Rose walked to her desk as she sat down she noticed that a lot of people weren’t there. “Stephanie, where’s everyone?” She asked as she looked at Stephanie. Stephanie was sassy, brave and organized person. Rose was very different from her friends she worried about what others thought of her, she was reckless, a bit introverted and not as beautiful or pretty as her friends. Stephanie had black straight hair with a dark skin color and she was absolutely beautiful!! She was also one of her close friends.

“Oh. They are at a important meeting with a higher company. They want to join together, but anyway good morning to you to.” Stephanie chuckled. “Oh sorry! Good morning Steph.” She’d apologize. “Shouldn’t we be there?” Juri said standing next to her chair. “Probably.” Stephanie said while her keyboard clicked under her fingers. Rose sighed. “Oh and by the way. Why is your hair so messy and wet today Rose?” They both asked. “I was late so I packed my hairbrush with me and didn’t get the chance to brush it...” Stephanie and Juri stared to laugh. “It’s not funny!!” She said while walking to the bathroom near the elevator. “Oh yes it is.” She heard them chuckle while she opened the door revealing the clean bathroom.

After brushing her hair she walked out and was surprised to see her two friend packing up their suitcases. “Did I miss something?” Rose asked as she glanced around. “Uhh, yeah you did. Our boss called us and said that the meeting went well. They arranged a celebration party for everyone tonight.”

Juri said happily as she moved to the elevator. Stephanie followed. “Aren’t you coming with Rose?” Stephanie turned around with a smile. “Oh. I don’t know guys.” Juri turned around as well, her mouth was open. Stephanie just shook her head and folded her arms. “They said everyone, including you.” Juri followed Stephanie’s pose, she nodded as well. “Fine...I’ll go. I don’t wanna get introuble.” Rose said as Stephanie laughed walking into the elevator. “Of course you don’t.” Juri said as she entered the elevator as well. Rose followed quickly. Wonder what company is so bold and rich to invite 2 huge companies? The elevator opened and we walked out onto the sidewalk. It was still day. “Okay girls! Let’s get ready at my place.” Juri giggled. Stephanie looked at Juri. “Shouldn’t we get stylish and fancy clothes at the mall first?” “Stephanie that’s brilliant!!” Rose just sighed. “Let’s go girls!!” Juri grabbed Stephanie and Rose and dragged them both to her car. Must be nice being as rich as her. Rose thought as Juri drived to the mall. Stephanie glanced at me. “You okay? You look rather overwhelmed.” Stephanie asked. “Yeah yeah I’m fine.” Rose replied with the widest smile she could manage. The truth was, she wasn’t up for staying out tonight. She was more worried about someone stalking her. “We are here!! Let’s get bying.” Juri jumped out of the car and rushed to the malls entrance. Stephanie hopped out as well as Rose. “So where to first Steph?” She’d ask Stephanie. Juri smiled. “Rose, I thought you never ask!” Stephanie walked past a couple of shops. Juri stopped a couple of times and looked at everything around them.

They entered a shop and immediately Rose was shocked. “G-Guys, I can’t afford this...” She’d say. Juri sighed. “I’ll pay for you then.” Stephanie turned around. “What about me Juri!?” She shouted. “You have money! Now let’s get started.” Juri shouted before running towards a couple of golden and tight dresses. Stephanie glanced at Rose before walking off to some pink sparkling dresses. Rose looked around. She passed a couple of red dresses before spotting a white dress with buffed up sleeves that joined with a red corset. The red corset was invited by a rose red color continuing to flow gracefully down to the ground. This is the dress. She’d carefully pick up the hangers the dress and walked to the counter. Stephanie and Juri already had their outfits and their dresses looked like they were worn by celebrities. “I’m finished.” As she sat down her dress Stephanie and Juri peeked at it. “WoW...” Juri whispered. “It fits you well Rose.” Stephanie said as she payed for her dress. Juri payed for Rose’s and hers. “I’ll pay you back Juri. I just need my months rent and you’ll get it.” Rose smiled and took her dress. “Rose you know she’s not gonna accept it.” Stephanie said as she grabbed her dress and walked to the exist. Rose followed her. “She’s right you know!” Juri shouted as she quickly caught up.

They hopped into the car and Juri quickly drove to her huge apartment. “Okay guys we have 2 hours. So let’s hurry up!” Juri said as she quickly rushed to her apartments door. Stephanie grabbed her own dress and entered Juri’s apartment. Rose grabbed Juri’s dress and with the other hand she’d grabbed her own. When she entered Juri’s apartment she was shocked. This apartment couldn’t get anymore exspensive. Rose made her way to Juri’s room. “Agh!! I left my dress in the car.” Juri shouted furiously. “I have it Juri.” She said as Juri quickly hugged her and grabbed her dress. Juri ran into her bathroom. Stephanie was already finished and busy with her makeup. Rose sat down her bag and took off her clothes. She put on her dress and it showed off her slim waist and stomach. She smiled as she tucked and pulled her hair into a bun. “Juri?” She’d shout. “Yes!? What is it I’m almost finished with my makeup!!” Juri shouted out of the bathroom. “I’m just wondering if I can use your pearl pins for my hair?” Rose shouted waiting for a reply. “Sure Girl! I don’t mind.” The bathroom door opened as Juri walked out. Juri looked stunning and polished up. She looked like a celebrity. Rose finsihed her bun as she put some pearl pins in. She let some curls hang loose from her forehead. “You look stunning Juri.” Juri smiled. “Thank you girl! Want me to do your makeup?” Stephanie turned around and her pink cozy and slim dress was gorgeous. “I’ll help with that as well.” She’d say. “Okay Okay. You both can do my makeup.” Rose said sitting down on the bed. “Stephanie you look beautiful as well!” She’d day as she closed her eyes. Juri turned towards Stephanie. “Yeah she does look good in that flamingo dress of hers.” Stephanie smiled before standing next to Juri and helping her with Rose’s makeup.

“Finished!!” Stephanie and Juri shouted. Rose opened her eyes and smiled at her reflection in the mirror. “Okay let’s go!” Juri said as she glanced at the time.

When Juri locked the apartment she’d jump into the car as they waited. Rose glanced at the window as they started to drive to the party. She saw a car’s lights turn on and following them. It’s like the person in the vechile new that she was watching, because the car’s lights switched off. Strange. Rose thought as her gaze swept to Stephanie eagerly listening to the music on the radio and Juri singing along.

When they finally arrived the quests were climbing out of their cars and entering through a enormous gate that followed by a massive park with dining tables and bars. Rose and her friends hopped out and walked through the gate. “Miss May I have your name?” One of the bodyguards at the gate asked Rose. “Uhh. Sure it’s Rose Darsen.” She’d reply a little shocked. When she turned around the bodyguards were asking her friends the same question as well. Probably quest lists or something. “Thank you miss. Enjoy the night.” He said and a eerie smile crept on his face. “O-Okay...” Rose replied walking quickly to her friends. “Guys did anyone find that a little suspicious?” She’d ask. The feeling then crept over her skin. It felt as if a predator was stalking its prey. Someone’s watching us or rather watching me... Stephanie and Juri looked at Rose as if she was overreacting again. “Girl you feeling okay?” Juri asked. “That’s just what they do, I guess.” Stephanie added. “Let’s just start partying!!” Juri shouted rushing into the crowd. “Better follow her before she does something stupid.” Stephanie chuckled before giving a wink and following Juri. Rose sighed heavily. And alone again, great! She made her way to the bar as she walked through the crowd. She’d glance around a couple of times making sure no one follows her like the night before. Nothing. “Odd...” Rose mumbled. “Excuse me miss, did you say something?” “Hmm, Ohhhh!! Sorry mumbling to myself.” Rose smiled. “Want something to drink miss?” The bartender asked. “Uhh a small strawberry cocktail please.” She said. She never drank and she wasn’t into drinking, but tonight she was nervous. Just when she wanted to take a sip she heard a familiar voice. “How’s it going girl?!” Rose gazed into crowd. Juri?! She spotted Juri swaying around as she slowly walked to her. “O-Okay I guess?? Are you alright Juri?” Rose said as her friend basically fell into a hug. “Y-Yeah girl!! You should taste their drinks! I-It’s magnifico!” Juri loadly said in a single breath. “How much did you drink?” Rose aksed a bit worried. “O-Only 5! That isn’t much right? I-I should d-drink mo-” Juri then suddenly passed out and slapped the drink out of Rose’s hand. The glass shattered everywhere and Rose quickly covered her friends face. Rose felt the stings as the glass cut through her skin. She was still barely holding onto drunk Juri when she looked at the crowd ignoring the blood on her face and arms. The crowd started passing out as well. Only she was still fully awake... “J-Juri you gotta wake up!! Something’s not right!” Juri’s fingers slightly twitched and she tightly squeezed Rose’s hand. What is Juri trying to say?? Rose thought and then she heard it. Someone was talking on the intercom or mic. *“Ladies and gentlemen!! You may already be paralyzed by now. My oldest son may decide his prey and after that his younger brother will also do so. Soldiers, citizens and family if my youngest son then gives the signal you may feast!” ** *She heard someone laugh at the end and goosebumps started appearing on her skin. “I won’t leave you Juri, I promise..”

Rose struggled as she dragged her friend away from the bar and into a huge maze. Wait there’s a maze? She’d glance around. Sh*t. This isn’t good. Hopefully it’s safe. She dragged her friend a couple of meters into the maze before walking into a dead end. She’d sigh as she dragged Juri in and setting her down behind a barrel full of flowers. Rose felt confused, scared and weak as she slowly sat down and watched the entry. She’d wince when she accidentally brushed her bruised arm against a bushy stick. Sighing she rested her head on the grass. Just when her eyes were starting to close she heard a faint chuckle coming closer. “Silly mortal girl. You think you can hide from me?! The rest are already paralyzed as well as your pour friends.” It was a dark and low voice. Rose’s breathing picked up and she felt the same way she felt the night before. Under a predators gaze. Glancing at her friend she stood up and hesitated, before running out of their hiding place and into a different direction. It’s my time to be brave and save my friend!! “Human you can’t escape me.” He’d chuckle. Rose ran as fast as her legs could carry her, but she couldn’t help but feel attracted to the low and reckless tone of the voice.

She ran through a wide passage and saw the exit. Just when she thought she made it out someone grab her by the waist and turned her around. Rose closed het eyes while she twisted and turned, but the person holding her was to strong. The person made a weird rumbling noise. Growl. She’d thought before she opened her eyes and found that the person’s face was just a inch from hers. She could feel his breathing. When Rose then looked at his eyes she felt a sharp pain struck through her heart. Those blue and red eyes. Where did she see them before? I-It’s the same guy as the one I saw in my room. She remebered. The person then stopped growling before picking her up and walking back to the bar where everything first happened. Rose tried to move again, but she couldn’t. She felt like a animal that knew it wasn’t going to survive. Rose started to see speckles of darkness around her eyes. No no. Not know, I don’t wanna pass out. Trying to stay awake Rose’s eyes flickered open and close. Her captor slowly nodded. He slightly made a rumbling sound before he glanced at her with those blue and red eyes. She tried to stay awake a bit longer, but her eyes wouldn’t let her as she felt the darkness surrounding her...

When she woke up she wasn’t at the celebration party anymore. She was laying on a cold concrete floor surrounded by metal bars. A Cell!! Was the first thing that crossed her mind as Rose slowly pushed herself off of the ground. A look at her filthy dress she felt a slight of guilt and sadness wash over her, but then she quickly pushed it away. Rose felt for the bruise on her arm, but it was gone. Strange. A memory flickered in her mind. A man was standing next to her. He touched her bruised arm gently. She could feel the pain lessening and then it was gone. When she slowly looked up to see who it was she saw red and blue eyes.

The memory then faded. A faint blush appeared in her cheeks. H-he healed my wound?! What the hell is he? She gave herself a pinch on the shoulder. This isn’t the time for boys!! Rose took a deep breath before she examined the metal bars. She could get through them. They aren’t that close to each other. She made a attempt to walk to the bars, but then felt something heavy on her right leg keeping her away from her escape route. She looked at the staircase a few meters away from the bars. A small light shone at the top of the staircase. Rose glanced at her leg. The metal chains were firmly and tightly wrapped around her leg. Sighing deeply she checked her surroundings for another way out. Then she saw it. In her cell there were yellow glowing eyes staring straight at her. She defensively put her arms over her chest. “W-Who are you? S-show yourself!” She shouted rather frightened. The figure walked out from the shadows and surprisingly it was a girl with blonde long hair and yellow eyes. “I’m not here to harm you. I’m a prisoner just like you.” The girl said. Rose stayed quiet. “These bastards turned me into a beast!!” She hissed. Rose stepped back a little. She felt her back press against the wall. The girl turned her head towards Yunji and glanced at her with sorrow. “I-I’m sorry.” She apologized before walking back into the shadows.

She felt sorry for the girl but didn’t say anything. She sat down in the corner with her legs against her stomach, burring her face in her arms as tears started flowing down her cheeks and landing on the cold hard floor. She heard some faint footsteps in the distance, but that was all before she fell asleep.
