Summary:
A world where demons and wizards coexist but not necessarily in harmony. The noble king wants the demons gone or even dead. He slays any demons that are unlucky to come across him. The noble prince on the other hand wants demons and wizards to live peacefully together.
Chapter 1
Phoenix Heart
Please let my cousin go. He didn't mean it. Please (struggling to get to her cousin)
Guard/knight 1
Let him go haha he bumped into the noble king. He's gonna get what's coming to him. Come on boy (laughing)
Phoenix Heart
He didn't me to please
The guards/knights holding onto Phoenix threw her to the ground and laughed.
Guard/Knight 2
You better get going or you will face the punishment as well
The guards/knights laughed as they walked away with her cousin.
Phoenix Heart
Don't worry Zion i will find a way to save you. Just hang in there (yelled after them)
The guards walked back dragging Zion along with them. The noble prince was heading out with his personal knights close behind him. When he saw the guards with the boy he stopped them.

The guards nodded then threw Zion at the princes feet and left. The noble prince knelt down and lifted the boys head. Zion had tears in his eyes and was trembling. The noble prince stood up and turned towards Jax and Bex.
Prince
Take him to my room. I will be there shortly to clean and treat his wounds (starts to walk towards the castle)
Jax picked up the boy and followed the prince back to the palace. Bex walked beside Jax. At the palace Jax laid Zion on the bed then him and Bex waited outside the door. When the prince returned Jax and Bex bowed then stepped aside. The prince then entered the room. Zion backed away from him til he hit the wall.
Prince
I won't hurt you. I just want to treat your wounds
Zion stood there trembling in fear as tears rolled down his checks. The noble prince got up and walked over to bed and sat down some medicine.
Prince
I'm Kace. I won't walk towards you unless you want me to. I will wait for you to calm down so your not so afraid
Kace went over to the wardrobe and pulled out some clothes then laid them on the bed close to the boy. Zion stood there staring at them. Kace went and sat down in a chair away from the bed.
Zion Heart
I...I...I'm Zion
Zion blushed a little bit but burried his face. Kace laughed at his reaction then stood up and went towards the bed. Zion didn't move.
Kace Elms
You may put these on. The bathroom is over there. (Points at the door to the right of Zion.) Once you get changed i will help you treat your wounds
Zion carefully grabbed the clothes then went into the bathroom. He changed out of his bloody torn clothes and into the ones Kace had handed him. As he was about to open the door he heard Kace talking to someone.

I'm afraid you can't. Father doesn't want you to go outside the walls

The creatures are called demons. Some of them are quit friendly

Zion exited the bathroom and slowly walked over to Kace. Kace treated his wounds then left to see his father. As he was leaving he told Jax and Bex to protect Zion while he visited his father. Zion laid down on the bed and ended up falling asleep.
Chapter 2
Zion woke to a loud noise outside the door. He got up fast and went into the bathroom. The door opened, and three people walked in. One laid down on the bed.

We will take our leave now
Once they left Zion slowly came out of the bathroom. Kace sat up and looked at him.

It will be dark soon. I'll be able to sneak you out then (got up and went over to the wardrobe)
Zion stood near the bathroom door. Kace grabbed some clothes and went back over to the bed. He sat down what looked like a cloak.

No problem. Father thinks demons are evil, but I've met some that are quite friendly, and you also seem to be like them. So there is no reason for you to suffer

I didn't mean to bump into the noble king. I tripped (looks down)

My father has never liked demons. He believes that they are gonna kill us and take over the palace
Kace and Zion talked for a couple of hours when Jax and Bex walked in. Kace stood up and handed Zion the cloak.
Bex Everest
Are you ready young prince
Bex lead the way while Kace and Zion followed. Jax stayed behind the prince and Zion to make sure no one notices. Once they cleared the palace they hid near the gate.
Jax Everest
Young prince. His majesty put extra knights around as the demons were supposed to be celebrating something
Kace lifted his hand and a small glow appeared beside them. A small furry black and white creature appeared.

Viotto i need you to see how many knights are near the gate. Try not to get caught

Yes master (flew up into the sky towards the gate)
After a few minutes Viotto came back. He landed near Kace.

There is 4 master but i have put them to sleep. You are able to sneak out now
Bex lead the way again while the others followed. Whenever they saw a guard Kace had Viotto put them to sleep. After about thirty minutes they made it to the small town outside the wall. Zion stayed near Kace while they walked around. Other demons backed away or bowed while the wizards just bowed. Kace sighed as they walked into a small store. He told Zion he could get whatever he wants. Zion hesitated then looked around. He found a small stuffed dog that looked like the dog he took care of growing up. Zion went over to Kace and showed him. Kace lead Zion to the shopkeeper and bought the small toy.

No problem (handed him a small object)

Young prince we should head back (summoning his familiar)

Alright. Zion stay safe. I'm sure we will meet each other again (summons Viotto)
Zion smiled and nodded at Kace who smiled back then left with Jax and Bex. Zion stood there for a bit then turned to head home. But just as turned around he was hugged from behind.

Phoenix released Zion as Annaliese and Clementine walked over. Clementine noticed the small stuffed animal in Zions hands.

Kace bought it for me after we ate and walked around. He had to leave though so i was headed home

The others agreed then headed home. Once they got there Xander ran over to Zion and hugged him. Zion hugged him back then went to their room. Xander went over and laid down on the bed eventually fell asleep. Zion laid in his bed thinking of all the things that could have happened if Kace hadn't been there when he was.
