It was a strange feeling. I mean this was something that I've always wanted yet my heart was beating fast and I wiped the sweat in my hands on my black jeans. I simply couldn't believe my childhood dream was coming true.

It was only a few weeks ago that I had auditioned and I couldn't believe myself when I got the letter from Bighit Entertainment. My grandmother was the happiest. She was the woman who raised me up for almost 14 years. She was my biggest fan since I was small. I felt proud to make her happy. I walked behind the staff member and she entered through a door in the corridor.

I entered into the room following her. There were already three other guys sitting on the couch. All three of them looked older. I was only 17. They looked at me as I walked in towards them. I smiled slightly knowing they were the other members. To my relief they smiled back and moved to give me space to sit. My grandmother always taught me good manners so I introduced myself before sitting down.

" Hi I'm Kim Taehyung from Daegu. I'm 17 years old. " , I said bowing my head . " I'm Kim Namjoon from Seoul and I'm 18." , said the guy who looked the oldest. He had a deep voice and looked quite older for his age. " I'm Min Yoongi from Daegu and I'm 19 ", said the guy in the middle while looking at his shoes. "Daegu? " , I questioned. "Mm yeah" he nodded. "Wow so we're from the same hometown", I said with excitement.

At that moment another boy entered into the room. "Oh were you guys introducing each other? I'm Park Jimin from Busan and I'm 17 years old.", he introduced himself giving out a cute smile. Oh so he was my age. Great!

"Excuse me Jimin.. but I was about to introduce myself before you came.", the other guy who was seated stood up. "I'm Jung Hoseok from Gwanju and I'm 18 too.", he said tilting his head towards Namjoon hyung who was the same age as he was. Me, Namjoon hyung and Yoongi hyung were introducing ourselves to Jimin again when another boy entered the room.

He looked older and wore good shoes. One look at him you could tell he came from a wealthy family. He looked really handsome as well. " Hi I'm Kim Seokjin from Gwacheon and I'm 20 years old.", he said bowing. All of us looked at the older boy and introduced ourselves. "Oh so I'm the eldest here huh? I'll have to look after you guys well then. " , Jin hyung added after our little introductions.

The staff member came in and asked us to sign on some documents. We went through them discussing how we should hold training sessions and about our strengths and weaknesses. Talking with the hyungs and taking their ideas really gave me hope that we would one day become amazing idols.

I've always wanted become a vocalist. When I was small I would always sing along with my favorite idols when they appear on the television. My grandmother would always clap at the end of my performance and encouraged me to believe in my dreams. I took out my phone with the hope of sending my mum a text.

Me: Mum I'm with the other members now. There are five other guys here. I'll tell you about them later. Please send my love to grandma for me. Tell her that I'll make her proud. Give a kiss to dad from me and tell Jeong Gyu and Eon Jin to stay out of my room.Lots of love. Stay safe**.

I put my phone back into my pocket. The hyungs were still talking about something and Jimin was playing a game on his phone. I went and sat next to him. " Hey what are you playing? ", I asked him. " It's this really cool shooting game. Do you wanna play Tae?", he replied giving me his phone. "Tae?" " Yeah it's easier to say than your full name. Plus we're the same age so I hope you don't mind." I nodded in approval and I started playing the game while Jimin cheered for me. Wow I had a friend on the first day itself. I couldn't wait to tell my grandmother.

I was still playing and shooting some zombies when another younger boy stepped awkwardly into the room. He looked really young and looked at us biting his upper lip showing that he was nervous.

"Oh there's another one? So there are seven members? ", Hoseok hyung asked from the staff surprised.

"Yes. You must be Jeon Jungkook right? from Busan? ", the staff member asked from the boy. The boy nodded stating the facts were true.

"Jungkook come sit here. You have to sign in this too.", Jimin said while indicating Jungkook to sit in the space next to me. He looked in my direction and our eyes met. At that moment I felt we would become good friends.

They say time really flies when you're doing something that you love. I guess it's true after all. Practicing with all the hyungs, singing and learning new dance steps really made me forget about the life I used to live. My life when I was with my family. I missed them.

I was the youngest in the group being only 15 and all the hyungs supported me everytime. I had always been quite an introvert and was always shy around everyone. But Tae hyung always played with me and cheered me up whenever I was feeling nervous. He would always push me forward when I was trying to hide myself in a corner. Not that I was bad at performing or anything but I always felt nervous and the tight practice schedules were not helping either.

We were sent by Bighit to USA to practice dancing and to improve our vocals. Bang PD nim , the director of Bighit came up with our cool stage names. Tae hyung was named as V , Hoseok hyung was named as J- Hope , Seokjin hyung was Jin, Yoongi hyung was named Suga cause according to PD nim he is quite pale and Namjoon hyung who was my role model (I have a picture of him on my phone back cover😅) was named Rap Monster cause obviously he's the coolest rapper in the world. Jimin hyung and I got to keep our original names although I was called JK from time to time.

Our group was called Bangtan Sonyeondan or BTS for short. We practised day and night and even skipped meals sometimes. We were really determined. Rapmon hyung and Suga hyung spent most of their time writing lyrics. Jin hyung although he was the eldest of us all he always begged me and Hoseok hyung to teach him to dance. Apparently he wanted to become an actor and wasn't so much good in singing or dancing. But he really practised well and wanted to show Bighit that their choice wasn't wrong. I mean we all did.

The first few months were super hard. I found it difficult to sleep and would always cry in secret as I missed my family alot. I knew all the hyungs were going through a hard time. But we were really passionate about our dream. I wanted all of us to be great idols someday.

In August our moment to shine finally came. We debuted with one of our main songs " No more dream" . It was a huge success. The crowd went wild and our fan base increased. We had 100+ fans now.

We went to several fan meetings and our fan base gradually increased. But just as that the number of haters rose up as well. People started mocking at us and making fun of each one of us. We felt really heartbroken by that but our leader Rapmon hyung always motivated us to be strong and to keep fighting for what we believe in. After all we were bulletproof boy scouts just as our lyrics mentioned in bulletproof part 2 and we were all determined to prove all the antis wrong.

We started shooting cool music videos and I was so happy to be on television. We were invited to be on several tv shows as well. Our dreams were slowly paving it's way to reality.

Out of all the hyungs Tae hyung was the closet to me. I guess it was because he was the second youngest in the group. He always did funny things around me to make me laugh. He was really dramatic and would always make cute faces to escape from our trainer's punishments when he made mistakes during practice. Everyone loved to have him around and found him quite playful and cute. He was fun to be with and we would always get into trouble together. We were like the mischievous youngsters in the group pulling pranks on our hyungs. I found it easier to express myself when he was by my side.

To me he was more than another hyung or another member. To me he was my best friend.

Me: I did. He sent me a few yesterday. Hyung was always talented in art. I'm glad he's doing something that makes him happy. Oh mum I have to go, Rapmon hyung is calling us for a meeting.

Omma💜: Sure son stay safe and remember to eat. Don't skip meals or else I'll come there myself and feed you myself.

Me: Muuuuuuum I'm not a baby anymore. 😑😣

I put my phone into my pocket while I made my way towards the hyungs.Everyone was already there. Jin hyung saw me come and moved aside in the couch for me to sit next to him. PD nim was also here which meant it was a serious matter.

"So far we've already done shooting 3 episodes and editing is almost complete. I talked with the broadcast station and they said the show will be on every Tuesday. So far you boys are doing great the fans will definitely love it. Mrs. Park can I have their schedule please?", PD nim aked from one of the staff members. She hurriedly handed him our schedule.He took few minutes to go through it. "Okay so now you boys are free until the evening but I hope you make the maximum use of that time to practice your dancing."

"Yes sir. ", all 7 of us nodded obediently. "Suga hyung and I are currently working on some more songs and the rest are focused on improving their dancing. Jhope is really making a lot of improvement.", Rapmon hyung added. It was true Hoseok hyung was really good at dancing after all he was an underground dancer before debuting.

"Mmm good to hear that. And are you boys ready for the filming of the next episode of Rookie king in the evening?", PD nim questioned us. "Yes sir " , we replied in unison.

"Okay off you go then. Namjoon you're in charge of everything. Make sure everything goes to schedule", PD nim told Rapmon hyung before he got up and left the room.

The seven of us went to the practice room and started warming up.

It was already 1 a.m when we returned to our dorm after the filming. Today was really exhausting but it was also fun at the same time. I went to my room dragging my half sleepy body. We had to share rooms in our dorm and I shared mine with V hyung. I turned on the lights in the room and fell on the bed. I was too tired to even take a shower. I heard footsteps and felt the bed shift when another body landed next to me. I looked at V hyung who was lying next to me with his eyes closed. I knew he wasn't asleep. He never could fall asleep without showering no matter how tired or sleepy he was.

" Hyung today's shooting was really fun huh? ", I asked him. He smiled slightly before opening his eyes and looking in my direction. "Yeah I don't think I'll be eating spicy rice cakes for a few weeks after what happened today.", he said with a traumatized face. I smirked remembering how he got the penalty of eating spicy rice cake with wasabi. "But my favourite one was when you started dancing on the floor as the fairy." , he said laughing. "ahh hyung please don't talk about that ever again. It was the most embarrassing thing." ,I mumbled wanting to forget what I had done.

"You call that embarrassing? Then what about my kiss with Jhope hyung? ", he asked utterly shocked. I couldn't stop myself from laughing. The whole scene was so hilarious. I remembered how the two of them got to act a scene from a movie called "Frozen flower". I had never heard about that movie before but Jin hyung said it was an adults only movie and I was the only one who didn't know about the storyline. I think it's about two guys falling in love which is simply weird when there are so many pretty girls to fall in love with. I want to fall in love with someone like IU sunbaenim . Someone who was pretty and talented. But I really was excited to see the hyungs kiss today. It really must have been embarrassing to kiss another guy after all.

" Ahhhhhhh why did I do it? How am I gonna tell my kids someday that my first kiss was with a guy?", V hyung got up from the bed clutching on his hair blaming himself.

" Don't worry hyung it's not your fault. But was that really your first kiss?", I asked in surprise. I mean even I already had my first kiss with my elementary school girlfriend whom I dated before debut and V hyung was two years older than me as well.

"Yeah I always wanted my first kiss to be with someone special and I was kinda saving myself for that person. Ahh I need a warm bath to forget about what happened today." V hyung grabbed his towel and headed towards the bathroom.

I watched him leave before l closed my eyes again and fell asleep.
