Under the tree where I am lying, I am staring at the stars whose shimmering as they stared back at the both of us.
“I love you,” I whispered, enough for you to hear it.
“I love you more,” you sweetly replied.
I hugged you tightly, scared that I'll lose you. It made you giggle. I looked at your face and stared. My brows furrowed as I can’t see your face clearly.
I was back from reality when my phone vibrated. I took it and Julia’s name plastered on it. I swiped ignore and wanted to sleep again to continue my dream. But I am once back in reality when my phone vibrated continuously.
Julia
Price! Come over here at school. Teachers keep on looking for you in me!!
Julia
Get out of your bed, Price!
I smiled as I read her messages. I know she’s angry right now on how the way she wrote her messages. I love to annoy her more. She’s cute. I love it when she’s like that.
Price
Yeah, I’m getting up. You, Julia-brat.
Julia’s temper is like an edge that's why I have to listen to her at all times. I don’t want my head to be chopped by her. I dear my life. I love my life.
I got up from my bed and took a bath. I dressed on my uniform. I took the keys, got out of my room. I am renting a room just close to our school, thus I am living alone.
Julia
The clock's ticking.
Julia
Hurry up before our 3rd period comes.
I was about to scribble my reply to Julia when I bumped into someone. I quickly apologize as I know that I am the one who accidentally bumped into her because I was not looking where I am walking. But, I guess she’s in hurry because she just fixed her cap, nodded her head, and run again towards the gate. I think she’s going out.
I shrugged my thoughts and continued walking as I don’t want to make Julia get angry on me.
When I am about to walk, I noticed that I stepped into a piece of card. I took it and it looked like it is owned by the girl I bumped. It has her contact number and birthdate. No name? I turned my head to call her and give it to her, but she already disappear from where she is standing a while ago. I sighed and put the card into my pocket. I’ll later put this in the Lost and Found room. I should hurry now.
I fished my phone out of my pocket when it vibrated. I secretly smile as I read her message.
Julia
Why are you still late, asshole?
Price
Shh, Julia. Focus on the class.
Julia
Nah. Even though I don’t listen I can still answer every question that our teacher will shoot. Unlike, you hmm…
Julia
I’m not like you. Bleh.
Price
You'll not be getting any free food from me later. No pizza for you!
Julia
I'm just joking, asshole!
Julia
Whatever. I have money.
Julia
I can buy pizza how many I want.
Julia

Price
Haha. You look like pizza, Julia.
I’ve been friends with Julia since we were junior high school. We were so close with each other that no one could break us. Julia is someone whom I can trust more than anyone. We have gone through a lot.

After I sent the text, I laughed when I hear her shout in the middle of the class.

Did you see the face of our professor?

I bugged her after class, bringing what she did in the middle of the class. I know her temper won’t last that long that she also laughed for what she did.
Ride Home
After out class ended, we planned to go to my mom’s place to celebrate her birthday with us.
Price
I’m in front of your house. Come out after you are ready. Mom’s been waiting for us.
Julia
I can’t find my gift for your mom. Wait a bit.
Price
Take your time… and I'll leave without you.
Julia
By the way, did you get your mom a gift?
Price

After I send the message someone slapped me from behind: it was Julia. She was fuming mad. She’s cute. Damn.
She yelled, “Asshole.” Then continue walking to my motorbike.
I just laughed for what she did. Cute.
I entered to my mom’s place. It was just me, mom, and Julia. My mom said she’s having another visitor. I guess its her co-worker or a friend of her.
Julia
Hey, let me use your room for a bit.
Price
Okay. Don’t think of taking stuffs from my room.
I heard a knock outside. My mom told me to get it and I did. I was shocked when I saw a lady running inside, finding my mom while shouting, “Auntie!"
As I watched her back, it feels like she’s familiar. But I just shrugged the thought and followed the lady. I watched her as she hugged mom.
I was shocked. I was literally nailed from where I am standing when I hear her voice. Oh my God. Her voice is so sweet and soft, like an angel.
“I missed you too, Paige,” my Mom answered, and pushed her a bit as she saw me and smile. “So, you saw my son, Price. Price, meet my goddaughter, Paige.”
She sweetly smiled to me and shook my hands.
I think I’m going to die tonight.
Price
She’s mommy’s goddaughter. Her name is Paige.
Price
Be good to her, brat.
Julia
Ya! What do you think of me? A bitch? You asshole!
I stopped texting as I heard that they are singing Happy Birthday to my mom. And I was there, completely staring at Paige while she is singing happily. She is so beautiful.
I was back from reality when my phone vibrated.
Julia
Oh my God. Do you like that girl?
Julia
Oh, yeah? Don’t lie to me. Haha. Our intestine are the same. We grow together. And I know how your mind work. Don’t make me stupid.
Price
I don't like her, brat!
Julia
Your eyes are obviously shimmering as they stare on Paige. Hahaha. I can totally see everything.
Price
Ugh! Stop observing me!
I looked at Julia and she just annoyingly smiled at me. I guess my expression can be distinguished easily. I can’t really lie to my best friend.
Paige and Julia got friend easily. Paige is an extrovert type. She is able to blend in immediately while Julia can blend, but she is not the type to easily trust. I am her only friend because she’s scared to trust. Well, it’s new tonight, but I guess its good.

Did you get her number?
Julia
Yes. She gave it to me. You saw it too. You want it?
Price
I am not asking for it.
Julia
Haha. Don’t be shy, Price. She’s our new classmate too. You are not able to meet her a while ago because you are late.
Price
Yeah, whatever. I don’t care.
Price
She’s cute, but she’s not my type.
Julia just laughed on me. Yeah, I am literally denying everything.
Price
I’m going to bid my good-bye to Mom. Then, we’re going home.
Julia
I'm coming with you.
Price
Don't bother. Just stay still. I know you're tired.
I stood up and made my way to the kitchen where my mom was washing the dishes and Paige helping her.
“Mom, we'll be going home. Julia’s sleepy and we have a class tomorrow.”
My mom wiped her hands and faced me. “Okay, then come back here after taking home Julia. Take Paige home too.”
I was startled, but I just nodded my head. I can’t say no to Mom. Paige disagreed, but Mom insisted, so we totally both don’t have a choice.
I hurriedly took Julia home and bid her good night. I don’t want to make Paige waiting for more than 50 minutes.
I left Julia’s messages unseen as I accompanied Paige to her home. We didn’t talked, but I can smell her scent. She’s different, totally different.
Her smell is so sweet unlike Julia's scent smells natural yet good. They both smell differently, but Paige is different. I can't explain it.

Why are you in a hurry a while ago?
Julia
I thought I was going to die.
Julia
It’s okay. If I’ll die, I'll just chopped every part of your body.
