"Umi get up its time for school and don't be late! "

ofcourse its time for school. Summer break wizzed past like there was no tomorrow.I guess I gotta get up and get ready.

I've quickly gotten ready in my boring uniform. off to school I go to worlds most boring school that can't afford to get Enough teachers so we don't learn anymore then what a 5 year old learns. -_-

I got my new time table and um let's just say I didn't even move up one singular set. In fact I moved down in science and math. Great, my mum is gonna kill me when I got home. Anyways 1st period is.. MATH?! OH HELL NO. yh I'm defo bunking class and with Mika today. In fact, now that I think about it, where is that weird girl? welp off I got to find her

A couple of minutes later, I found her and yet again, she was being crowded by her fans which completly don't know the definition of 'personal space' so I then decided to spend the 1st period alone, on the rooftop scrolling through the gram, when a notification popped up " xin XxX posted a new photo". Not gonna lie I don't really know why I follow this guy. He's pretty of course but probably a complete snob irl.

*Bell rings* ugh period 2 is with miss Lin. I better go or she'll call my parents, just like last time.Im not in the mood to be grounded. Let's go.

I arrived to class in a rush. Thankfully I wasnt late. I sat in my seat and the lesson began.

"good afternoon class. Today we will learn about curses and blessings", said miss Lin

great we are learning about myths -

" well let's start off with my own experience." said miss Lin

what does she mean by that I thought to myself. Curses and Blessing stuff are only myths.

Miss Lin started to talk again "when you turn 17 years old, during your sleep an ancestor will tell you and explain the family history of curses and blessings."

The whole class was confused and started to discuss their opinions on this. A lot of them didn't believe it although even I was speechless due to what the teacher just told us.

"now, now class let me finish off. you can discuss to each other about this after school but not during my lesson unless you want dention. "Miss Lin said in her strict voice.

The whole class became pin-drop silent.

" alright, let's continue. From my experience my great-grandmother told me that I got a curse. Curses weren't too common back then so people would treat me different but now a days curses are equally as common as getting a blessing"explained miss Lin

" now any questions? "

A few people put their hands up too ask question, so one by one miss answered them. One kid asked miss Lin what her curse was but she refused to tell us. I mean I guess that's understandable. Class then finished within a milli-second. I gotta admit, class was kinda interesting today. What dissapoints me is that my birthday is in 5 months. Why do I have to wait so long -. Alright Amma just go to next period.

School was over a couple of hours later.I waited for Mika to come out from the school gate. She finally came out and I called her over. She then noticed me and we started to walk.

"Hey Mika" Umi said

"Hey bestie! Sorry I couldn't hang with you at lunch today. Master Xin was telling me off because apparently I was 'Creating a commotion and blocking the halls. What an idiot" replied Mika

"I don't blame him if you were blocking the halls, Mika" Umi said

"Whatever.Anyways did you have that lesson about Curses and blessings? "asked Mika.

" Yeah I did. I was gonna ask you that too. "said Umi

" Well my birthdays in a 2 and a half weeks! "Said Mika, excitedly

" Lucky-"Replied Umi "welp my road is this way. cya Mika! "

"Alright cya bestie! " Said Mika

I quickly got home and fell asleep dreaming about if I were to get a blessing it made me happy and smile though she knew these things wouldn't happen.

Then morning came..

As per usual I woke up, got ready and dragged myself to school.

Two weeks have already passed. Now I know what they mean when they say 'time flys'. Mikas birthday had passed and she got a blessing. She said it was something to do with good luck and being better at a lot of things that she was bad at before. Lucky her.

The bell rang.I didn't even bother to check my time table to go to class. Instead I headed straight for the stairs which lead to the roof top. I mean it's a Monday who wants to sit in a class room for an hour learning nothing on a Monday Morning?

I got to the roof top and sat down. There was a possibility that Mika would come but she might be attending her art class which surprising she takes seriously.

I was on my phone for half an hour until, I saw the door to the roof top open and a tall boy walked through the door. Then I realized..

OMG IT'S XIN.. I knew I was gonna be so dead. That boy is so strict and cold for no reason- He slowly walked towards the bench I was sitting on.

Then he opened his mouth and said, "Umi, age 16 adress ******** "

"WTH WHY IS THIS BOY SAYING MY ADDRESS AND INFORMATION-"

"uhhh... are you a stalker..? " I said questioning my life decisions.

".what.?-" he replied in a cold manner. "so the information is right. I was sent to find you as you were not in your class. Follow me to detention. It will be for two hours as you've skipped so many classes yesterday.

" HUH THIS BOY DID NOT JUST SAY 2 WHOLE HOURS" I thought to myself."I'm not letting that happen-"

"Hmmm.. what if I refuse..? "I said bluntly to his face.

" as you are a girl force is not permitted but phone calls home and getting kicked out is alright.Whatever one you prefer. "He replied

" Geez this boy speaks like a robot"I thought.

" Xin, Loosen up. We only live once to let me be or you can bunk class with me. " I replied

He paused for a second before he started to speak again.

"Whatever" He said rolling his eyes. Then he checked his watch and walked off

"Wow I actually got my way this time.Thats surprising and also something to flex about to Mika!" I said out loud, proudly.

"Who said I was gone? " A blunt voice said from behind me.

"AHH! WHAT THE-" I screamed.

I got my hopes high. Ofc Xin would never let anyone off. I was prepared to get in masive trouble and sent to detention.

"just great" I said, under my breath.

"Umi," he started,"follow me to my office I need to discuss something with you. "

What- this boy has an office?! I know his dad owns the school but his own office. That's way too over the top.I swear he need to learn too.

With no other option, I got up and followed him down stairs...

When I was walking down the stairs with Xin all I could think was about how much I hated the awkwardness of just walking in silence with nothing to talk about plus, im terrible at small talk with people like 'that guy'.

Finally we stopped at his office and entered almost Immediately.

Then he started to talk, "Umi, I want you to be in charge of the detention room since you have nothing better to do and on the weekends you will be have a tutor to help improve your grades. "

What is the boy on about I'm so confused I uttered under my bewildered breath.

"uh I dunno-" I said.

Really what does he thing I'm gonna say. Plus lets not forget about TUTORING on WEEKENDS.I wanted to buy a new coat for the winter with Mika. Theres no way this boy could get me to agree. I aint living no K-drama world and definitely no weired romance one. This boy is out of his hollow pea brain, thinks ill agree. Not in a month of sunday and infact even Saturday too. HUMPH

"oh yea I called your dad and he approved it. Just so that you know. "Xin said.

That mother flipper. He definitely would've gotten the wrong idea if not hes probably ok with me getting trash education since not gonna lie, i dont really do much. Ughh I wanna go home.

"you also will be payed a bit" Xin told me

"really?!, how much" I responded. I do need the money so any amount would be fine for me i guess."I replied, not really thinking about what i was saying the the boy, but blinded buy a certain amount of money that could be use to me.

"£50 an hour, I know it's not too much but if you do your job better you will get more" he said.

That is good money and worth it although I still had no idea of what the point of this was yet I agreed although I'm not looking forward to have a tutor. What happens if the person is a complete jerk. humph. Althoughhhh, it would be easy to mess around with a teacher who doesn't really no what their doing so it could be fine.

"Xin, who is my tutor is it any of the school teachers.? if so I'm gonna die" I said in a panic. Getting a random one from online of something would be like.. a HUNDERD TIMES BETTER.

Xin seemed to hesitate for some reason which really made me feel uneasy due to when this guy makes a decision, you know hes serious and knows what hes doing .

"…well your tutor is a teacher though you never have met them before as their new but at the moment, they aren't feeling too well and is bed-bound for a while so, I'll tutor you until they feel better which shouldn't be for too long of a time period" he paused and muttered "I hope so.."

great I thought to myself. This day can't possibly get any worse. I wonder what Mika would think of this. Thinking of Mika reminds me my birthday is in 1 month and a few week's! Honestly I really hope I get a blessing. I definitely need help with life, a lot more than Mika but of course I'm happy she got a blessing as  i know curses can be a massive burden and affect peoples daily life.

Then this boy started going on about things I don't know about. but what I do know is that I was half asleep 90% of the time. The only thing I got was that I'll start helping in the detention room from next Monday.

Not too long after, Xin started lecturing me about listening properly. I already feel pain from hearing the boys voice and i was reminded tutoring is on  Tuesday 5-7, Thursday 5-7 and Saturday 2-4. what a drag.

Then the bell rang, finally my time in hell was over. I grabbed my bag almost Immediately and dashed out of Xins unwelcoming office as soon as I possibly could. But when I was gonna walk to class Mr lee, My math teacher, stopped me. I was confused at first but then I realized it was because I wasn't at class today. Then Xin saw. Xin had to explain shi- and stuff so finally I was let go and walked towards the school gate to go home.

All i could think about when walking home was 'if the sun exploded right now, i wouldn't even be pissed off by it.'

I didn't even have Mika with me on the ONE DAY i needed to spill so much to her. That determined that when home ill call her for minimum 2 hours.

Dreading tomorrow, Thursday, ive always loved Thursdays but most certainly not anymore
