A long time ago, in the country of persia (which is known as Iran), there lived an old man. The old man had two sons. The elder son was called Kasim and the younger was Alibaba. When the old man died, he left a small fortune. As per his wishes, the fortune was equally divided between the two brothers.

Kasim and Alibaba took the share from their father's money. However, they did not make any good use of the small amount of money. Instead, both of them spent the money in a short period of time.

Soon, they were left penniless. But, it was then the two brothers' fortune changed in opposite directions.

Kasim was lucky to find a wealthy girl. After his marriage to her, his Father-in-law owned a big shop which was filled with many expensive objects.

Apart from the shop he had a substantial amount of gold hidden in his house. When he died, Kasim became the owner of the shop. Thus, it was known to everyone that Kasim was now a wealthy man.

On the other hand, Alibaba married a poor girl. Both of them had no fortune. Hence, they lived in a small house. Alibaba had to work hard for a living. He managed to earn a little money by selling wood.

Everyday, he would go to the jungle to cut wood. Then he would put the wood on the backs of his three donkeys. He would then sell this would in the town. Thus Alibaba managed to live with difficulty.

One day, Alibaba was on his daily job of cutting wood in the forest. It was noon time. He had almost finished cutting the wood.

After completing his work, he was slowly mounting the wood on the backs of his donkeys. At that time, he suddenly heard the sound of horses. He thought to himself, "I wonder who is going through the forest at this time."

As Alibaba observed, the galloping horses has raised a big dust cloud. Such a noise could be made only by a great number of horses.

On keen observation, Alibaba noticed that there were more than 30 horsemen. They were all coming to his direction.

Alibaba thought, "oh my God! This seems like a gang of robbers. They are all coming towards me.

What if they see me? They will surely kill me and take away my donkeys. What can I do?" Alibaba was very scared. He was trapped in the forest. He could not go out without being seen by the robbers.

Alibaba thought quickly. He had no time Or place to run. He pushed his animals into a place where they could not be seen. Then he found a huge tree with big leafy branches.

He immediately climbed up on the tree. The tree was next to a huge rock. Alibaba was safely hiding in the branches of the tree.

Alibaba then waited for the robbers to pass him. To his surprise, they all stopped under the tree. he remained atop without making noise. then he silently observed the men.

He thought, "I have guessed correctly. These men look like highway robbers. They seem to have just stolen a great amount of money. Then why have they stopped here? maybe, they are going to hide their loot somewhere."

The horsemen slowly got down their horses one by one. As they alighted, Alibaba counted the number of men. They were totally forty of them. The thieves then tied their horses to nearby trees.

After doing so, they stood in a line and waited. All of them were carrying bags, which must have been filled with gold and silver. Alibaba wondered what they were going to do.

One of the thieves came from behind with his bag. When Alibaba saw him, he knew that he was the leader of the gang. The rest of the gang made way for the leader.

Alibaba observed the actions of the leader carefully. The leader then came forward up to the rock. (there was a big rock beside the tree. sorry I forget to write about it.)

The leader faced the rock. He then said in clear tones that reached Alibaba's ears, "OPEN SESAME!" to Alibaba's utter amazement, a portion of the rocks' wall opened up like a door. The captain then stood aside to let his men in.

Alibaba could see everything clearly. The captain counted his men as they went inside. After the last man went inside, the leader also followed him. Then, the door of the cave was closed magically.

Alibaba sat on the tree in complete surprise. He had never seen anything like that before. He thought, "How could a cave be opened up with two words! They must have been some magical words.

'Open, Sesame!' I wonder if I can get down now and runaway. But, no, it is better if I wait for them to leave. Then, I can safely get down. I wonder how long they are going to be inside. And, how long I have to sit on this tree?"

Thinking in this way, Alibaba waited for the robbers to come out and leave.

Alibaba waited patiently on top of the tree. It was not very comfortable to sit there. He had to be careful not to fall down. Every time, he thought of getting down and taking his donkeys, before the robbers came out.

But then he thought, "What if I get down and at that moment, the robbers come out? They would definitely kill me. I have no option but to stay here."

Alibaba tried to divert himself with other thoughts. He wondered what the cave looked like. He guessed that the cave must be the hideout of the robbers. As he sat waiting time passed slowly. There was no sign of any robber.

The cave remained closed. It was soon evening. Alibaba thought, "I can't wait any longer. My donkeys will become restless. I have to go back to the town and sell the wood. My wife will also be waiting for me."

Alibaba decided to get down, take his donkeys and go home. Just at the moment, when he thought of climbing down, the cave opened. The leader stood at the entrance of the cave.

Then, just as they had entered, the gang of robbers came out, one by one. Each carried an empty bag. Alibaba thought, "they must have left the contents inside the cave."

As each thief came out, the leader counted their number. Each thief then untied his horse and got on it. When the last thief had come out, the leader stood outside the cave. Then, like before, he uttered two words, "SHUT, SESAME!" Immediately, the door of the cave closed magically. Looking at the rock, no one would know that it opened into a cave.

The leader then got onto his horse. The other thieves waited for their captain to lead them. The captain then went to the front and led the gang of robbers in the same direction they have come from.

Alibaba observed the complete scene from above. As long as the robbers were near the tree, he didn't dare to make any noise.

The gang of robbers went away on their horses, as fast as they had come. But Alibaba waited for a long time after they left. He thought, "Let me wait for some time. If any robber comes back for some thing and catches me, I'll be dead. From here I can see the dust raised by their horses. When I can no longer see or hear them, I can safely get down."

Finally, there was no sign of any robber coming back. Alibaba was sure that he was alone. Praying to God for saving him, he slowly climbed down the tree.

Once on the ground, Alibaba looked at the rock. He wondered, "I remember the words used by the captain to open the cave. The magical key to this mysterious cave is 'Open, Sesame!' But I wonder if it will work if I say it aloud. What harm is there in trying?

Alibaba was not sure if the rock would listen to his command. But he tried. He said aloud, " Open, Sesame!" Lo and behold, the mighty cave opened it door to his. alibaba was amazed.

He slowly enter the cave, not knowing what to expect. The door of the cave closed behind him. as he came inside, he had the shock of his life.

Alibaba had expected that the cave would be dark and dirty. Instead, it was bright and filled with treasures. The light in the cave came from several small openings in the roof. Alibaba also saw the several torches were laid in the cave. He thought that the thieves used this torches when they came in the dark.

Then, Alibaba looked at the Treasures spread everywhere in the cave. The cave was covered with boxes one on top of the Other. These boxes extended from the floor to the ceiling of the cave. Alibaba went around these boxes to see what was inside. Each box had a variety of riches.

Some had expensive jewellery while some had rich clothes full stop some contained embroidered silks and some were costly furniture. But what attracted alibaba's attention were the boxes filled with golden and silver.

Alibaba looked at the abundant Treasures hidden in the cave. He thought, "it will take me more than a day to go through all these riches.

These treasures have not been stolen from few years. I feel this gave have been here for a few generations. These have been storing their loot from every long time."

Once Alibaba was inside the cave the door had closed automatically but Alibaba was not worried. He remembered the magical words that the leader had used to open and close the door.

Then Alibaba decided what he should do with the Treasure in front of him. He thought, "these expensive cells and furniture are of no use to me. Moreover, my donkeys should be able to carry the load."

Then, Alibaba decided to just take three bags of gold. That way he could load the bags on his three donkeys. Thinking so took the three bags and the words, "Open, Sesame!" he came out of the cave. His donkeys were still standing at the place he had left them.

Then, he took out the word and loaded the three bags first. the bags of gold with the wood. thus, No one would suspect that he was bringing anything other than wood.

Alibaba then Drove his donkeys quickly to the town.Once he reached the town, he went a directly to his house. He was relieved only when he opened the door of his house.

Then slowly and carefully, he unloaded the wood. He looked around to see if he was being watched. When he was sure that he was alone he took the bags of gold and carried them inside. He was waiting to see how his wife would react at his good fortune.
