" momma the door bell rang " said carmie , her mother replied " it must be the guests invited for the party , you may behave as i don't want to scold you on you birthday! " ya mom i know replied carmi , carking . it was her birthday she was super excited for the gifts, as soon as the opens the door , a bunch of people were standing at the door waiting for the door to open .... " happy birthday carmi " cluster of people shouted . The 14 year old was too excited but then she notices a girl standing in the crowd, that face wasn't familiar to her

...anyways the all entered the house . all were enjoying Carmi silently enters the kitchen where her mom was working and she asked her about that new girl .... her mother told her that she is her aunts granddaughter , her name was Kara and she was no older than 16 years , her and carmi could go well ....

all people started to leave one by one Kara was left as her parents were out of the country and she has to stay at carmi's house ......

..... Carmi and Kara had to share the room , everything was set and after having dinner, Carmi rushed to her room and shouted " gifts " without even blinking her eyes she started to unwrap all the presents..... she was about to proceed to bed , but a mischievous book caught her all attention . Kara she shouted no on replied, she turned back and saw her sleeping and continued to read the book , which her grandmother gifted her on her special day ....

as soon as she proceeded to open it her mother suddenly can and shouted at her and sent her to sleep ........

clock ticking as soon as it struck 1:30 something weird happened ......

Carmi woke up screaming she had a worse nightmare..... she went downstairs to drink water , came back , and now was not able to sleep . Suddenly she remembers about the book and opened it , she was astonished to look at the pages they were too old the book seemed like an ancient antiquarian book with Roman text on it ... luckily from her whole family only her grandmother and she herself were mastered in roman , it was taught in her school ....... hours passed by and she kept reading it she read more than half book , it was all about a girl who died locked in a wardrobe, after being bullied at school, and it is said in the book that her ghost still rambles in the classrooms of the school , the culprits were punished . the book ended . It was just a fictional story but Carmi got obsessed with it , she was fascinated with the content inside the book .

A flushing voice came from the bathroom, the door opened, kara was there ...... carmi asked " when did you enter the bathroom? " somehow , kara was too numb to reply , she said " i went there when you were reading the book " carmi was astonished by the fact that she was so lost in the book that she was not able to notice Kara go to the bathroom .....

the alarm clock rang it was already 7 in the morning...... carmi went to school , kara enjoyed with carmi's mother ........

Carmi returned back from school , she threw her bag and ran towards her room .... she was looking for the book , she searched everywhere , she heard a voice of scratching...... she bent down her knees and found the under kara's bed . After keeping the book in her drawer she went down to have lunch .

ring .... ring.....ring... the phone rang

" hellow, oh its okay .... yes its fine " Carmi's mother was attending the phone call and after some time they got to know that Kara's parents could not reach London ( Carmi and her family lived in London ) and it will take them a week to come and pick Kara .

the sun was about to set

no longer , it was 8pm and Carmi's parents went out on a dinner and now both the girls were alone at home ..... Carmi again reads the book and Kara was talking to her parents ....... " Carmi i am all set to go to bed , you come one you finish your stuff " muttered Kara

hour pass by and it was 1:30 at night again , Carmi wanted to know more about the mischievous book , she decided to go to the library the next day ..... she went to the bed , Kara was in a deep sleep already ..... Carmi was half asleep when she realised that she was not able to move , it felt like a fore is pushing her inside to bed , she slowly rolled her eyes to the left , towards the almirah .......

she saw a shadow of a woman, a a AAA AAA..... she shouted, surprisingly Kara was still asleep. Carmi was still not able to move ..... Knock! Knock ! Knock!..... continuous voice was comming from the almirah, she was sweating so hard , she was scared to death....... Aaaaa Karmi woke up " are you okay ? what happened? you got a nightmare, sleep.... i am here " said Kara .... Carmi was horrified, she was able to move , she was breathless.....

Carmi was covering her face with the blanket. Kara's phone rang , it was her parents , it kep on ringing , Carmi took her face out of the blanket and was amazed and terrified to see that Kara was in a deep sleep .... Carmi started to wake Kara up and Kara's reaction was shocking, she asked Carmi after looking at the time that why is she still up and why she was sweating ..... " oh its a call ? its mom " said Kara , Carmi was still not able to clarify what happened......

the door bell rang ,Carmi's parents came back , Carmi looked at the time and saw that it was 4 in the morning " already ?" she was pondering....

Carmi's mother asked if they had any problem by the time they were home alone , Kara replied that she slept too much well and dint had any problem " and what about my Carmi ? " she asked , Carmi was too numb to reply, teary eyed she smiled and said that she was also okay ..... Carmi thaught about the incident whole day and at the end of the day she end up taking it as a bad nightmare ...... still she was lost wondering.
