Promise?
Taehyung did not expect this. Never in a million years, would he has thought that his parents would keep a promise that probably means nothing now anyway. This is the 21st century for goodness sake. Who makes such a ridiculous promise anyway? And how about his own rights as a werewolf?
In case anyone was wondering, Taehyung is an omega who was minding his own business and was told a little over a month ago that he was going to get married. Kim Taehyung, was a single man and he had just completed his college. Finally enjoying himself after having studied his life away for the past years. Imagine his surprise when he was told that he did has to put a stop to all his plans and get married to a stranger.
Of course, he went through a phase of denial and even accused his family members of taking part in some MTV prank show. He went radio silence on his parents and they pleaded with him to give him(future husband) a chance.
They cannot expect him to marry this man who he hardly knew. Could they? He had not even met the guy. The only thing he knew about that guy was that he is "handsome". Yeah right.

If I marry this guy for his supposed good looks and wealth, I might as well be labelled a shallow gold-digger.

Grandfather
So, this was the deal. Taehyung's great grandfather was a great soldier during the civil war in Korea. He made some old age promise to his best friend that they would marry off their children to become one big family.
Taehyung really do not know what went through their mind when all this was going down. Was there not a war for them to focus on? Unfortunately for him, both sides were only blessed with male alphas for two generations and Taehyung being the unlucky fellow just had to be an omega.
Taehyung has always been super close to his grandfather and he absolutely adored him. After some time of convincing Taehyung, grandfather fell sick. He told Taehyung that it was his last wish to keep the promise that his father had made, and he hoped that Taehyung would fulfil his wish for him. Taehyung was reluctant, of course, but he decided that he would at least give it a try for his grandfather's sake. He did not want his grandfather to pass away being unhappy or not having had his wishes fulfilled.
So, Taehyung made the difficult decision to keep their promise and marry *That guy*. His grandfather passed away shortly after and Taehyung knew there was no turning back for him. Due to his sudden passing, they had to postpone meeting his(future husband) family and today was the day that they had agreed to meet. Their family was told to come over for dinner and "he" would be there. At least the parental units had the courtesy to let them see who they are marrying. Taehyung is just relieved that his prospective husband was raised where he was raised.
At least Taehyung would not have a language or cultural barrier which could make it even more difficult to cope with the whole situation. According to his mother, his future *husband's* family love him, and they are excited to meet him.

Getting ready for meet
Taehyung's mom also warned Taehyung against doing anything that would tarnish the reputation that she had built up for him.

Taehyung looked up at the clock and realised that he had zoned out for way too long. It was already 4pm. He got up and started getting ready for the dinner date. He threw open his wardrobe and contemplated on what he should wear.
