backstory
werewolfs get mates and find mates when they are at the age of 15 and in some cases you dont get a mate for some reason you are mateless and on turning 15 you will know if you have one or not if you are mateless you will feel like something is missing and you are free to marry who ever you want but the thing is you only get one mate and you cant reproduce unless you are with your mate so if you are mated to somone other than her fated mate you have to adopt because you arent getting pregnant males can get pregnant but only from their fated mates
some werewolfs date before they find their mate and if they want their mate then they dump the lover and it hurts alittle to the mate that they didnt wait but they are happy they got a mate and sometimes they choose the lover and reject the mate either in public or in private and then you are on your own
now lets say mate 1 is 14 but is turning 15 in a few days but mate 2 is 15 already the mate who is already 15 will know the other is the mate and will wait til the other is of age (15) so when both are of age and are aware of each other then they will decide the next step as i stated above
now when you meet your mate your bond starts then and there and if your injured or in medical help your mate can be beside you and help you heal the bond is more than just a pull to each other and unless you are on deaths door or have cancer or a tumor or something the mate can help you heal like if you were in a serious car accident and you were hospitalized your mate can help you heal 4x fast than you normally would
but sometimes the rejection backfires and by that i mean that one wanted a mate so badly that when he/she found them and they got rejected then the wolf and them cant take the rejection and become hospitalized and in some cases death has happened
now if your family knows who your mate is then they can try and find your mate and beg them to help you recover from it by just being in the room you can be in the corner on your phone if you want not caring about anything the bond will do the work and i know your asking but why is the bond there if you rejected them well that bond will stay until one or both are mated to someone else they dont feel the pull that is broken but the healing part is still there until one is mated to someone else
the reason being in extremely rare cases a rejectee and the rejected will come back together and mate each other the rejectee realises he/she wanted the other all along and wants them back and if they accept the apology and are willing to get back together with their mate then the bond is still there and the pull will only restore itself when fully mated but unless they do this the healing part of the bond stays until one of the mates is mated to another
if you are rejected and want to look for a lover than you can join the RMA (the rejected mate association) where you get registered and you are now in a "mixer" or dating pool and you find your lover here if you dont want a lover because you were a person that feels like you wanted your mate or no one at all that is fine you an live life mateless and loverless you can adopt if you wanted a kid but you dont have to have a lover if you dont want the RMA is only for the ones who dont want to be alone for the rest of their lives
now you are asking how can you have adoption if you can only have a kid with your mate well here it is what if both mates die or the mates have more kids then they wanted if they wanted 2 and ended up with 3 the 3rd would go to adoption and in some cases mates dont want kids and you cant get a surgery done to stop having kids so you have to use protection so if the protection breaks or you forget and get pregnant then you can send it to the adoption center if after having the kid you still choose to to keep it in some cases they keep it but others they dont so all theses children are now orphans and or now in need of a home so the ones who want kids but cant will go and adopt and the cool thing about it is that if you want a child you can have one even with your mate it is pyshically impossible to not get pregnant when you are with your mate just one night can get you pregnant even if he barely shot anything out you will get pregnant

sidenote: i forgot to say you do have "teen" pregnancys its normal so you will see 15,16,17 year olds pregnant and that is because they found there mate there minds and bodies are fully developed by 15 to to care of a baby when they meet their mates and you cant get pregnant until you are 15 so if you happened to be dating your mate you cant get pregnant until your both 15
so the next day he found his mate and he went to him not careing if the mate was of age or not
