"Fucking summer heat is roasting my chest hair." Hassou grumbles to both of us. I was walking with my best friend Hassou Tobi, and my childhood friend Reiko Hansaki. We grew up together, goes to the same school, and even work at the same company, Soverin Company.

I'm an engineer. Hassou work as a programmer, and Reiko work as a designer. Usually, we hang out by the weekend.

"Can we just head for downtown for breakfast? I need one of those chill pack and drinks." Reiko fans her clothes for more cool air. Reiko is lucky enough to have her summer shirt on.

"You don't get to complain about the fact that you dragged us out for a god damn walk to MY OWN CAFE during summer time saga." Hassou flips his hat and starts to fan it to himself.

"I'm with Hassou this time. ****! This is a terrible idea." I open my cildres to check my credit balance. The numbers are still extremely high, but I had a practical wallet separated just in case.

"I didn't expect it to be this hot." Said Reiko as she walked ahead of us.

"I don't get it, how is your mind still sane living with her?" Hassou is sweating profusely. His eyes were dim like a fish out of water.

"You're asking the wrong question there. It's why am I still alive?," I replied and corrected Hassou's question.

"I hate you for raising this dumbass, and we could've just ridden my car BUT NOOOOO~ She chooses to walk." Hassou slaps my back with his hat a couple of times. His cafe is our only hope now, all that sweet fresh air and refreshing drinks.

-Ten minutes later-

"I'll get everything cold, so you two fucktard stay here." Hassou picks a table that is the closest to the air conditioner and heads to the kitchen.

"More ice and ice pack please." Hassou looks back and gives an okay sign with his hand. Reiko slams her chin to the table where it's nice and cool.

"You look like dogshit." Reiko isn't an idiot for anyone to think. She's the heir to the Hansaki household, the only daughter of Mia and Daus Hansaki. Like her parent, Reiko inherits the brunette hair and eyes. It's a bit wavy, and she often tied her hair into a bun or just regular ponytail.

Her parent adopted me when mine died. Her parent died five years ago, too, during the final phase of the Assimilation.

"Hey, Knucklehead. Quit daydreaming and enjoy your sundae. Is on the house." I didn't realize that I was daydreaming for quite some time. As soon as I open my eyes, both of these idiots are creaming their sundae.

"If you say so, then that twenty Reas you borrowed from me is still in my list."

"You know, I really wonder how the **** did your face is still intact??" Hassou put his spoons away, slams the table, and stood up, trying to intimidate me. I just sit comfortably on the seat, watching him from below and smirk.

"Boys, can you guys just stop killing each other every time you guys meet?" Ask Reiko while watching both of us glaring at each other.

After we finished our so-called breakfast, the three of us headed back to Reiko's home using Hassou's car to watch tv or maybe play games. Hassou and I blast our ways to the living room sofa to get the best seat in the house. I turned on my Hyper-cildres and grabbed the wireless control, Hassou is hype for a gaming session. It's been a harsh week for us working on that 'slavery' company. By that, I mean, the largest electronics manufacturer in the country, Soverin Digitale.

Considering the things we went through, we stop playing an online game to avoid salt and tilt for today. Reiko decided to head over to her room and continue her work as a designer for her latest breakthrough, the Augmentation. She turned on the air conditioner in the living room and her room while checking her cildres.

"Guys! News on the Demi-God thingy!" Reiko burst out of her room with her cildres put on radio mode. Hassou and I were too busy gaming, so she decided to use her cildres command to pause the Hyper-cildres by force.

"WOMAN! What the ****?!" Reiko smashes her pen to both of our heads. We rub it off as she shows us a piece of live news, another breakout of the incident called the Demi-God incident came again this morning around the local. It's nearby Hassou's cafe, but luckily its in a safe distance from the cafe. As she watches the news, the noise of a chopper passes on top of the house. The video we're watching now came from that chopper.

It appears to be a dragonborne fighting what it resembles to be the wanted criminal demi-god, Kunino Hikari. Despite the public action, there was nothing that the local police can do to stop this demi-god rampage.

A few minutes after the criminal is spotted, the two clashes against together.

The fight was so intense that the chopper had to move away from the fight. The battle continues, and the dragonborne was losing, in the end, it lost the match, and the demi-god fled the scene. Before it went away, The chopper suddenly spring havoc, spinning and descending from the sky. As the news continues, The chopper was able to land safely. The report then redirects back to the studio.

Every action that the local police tried to stop this criminal has failed as she fled away again and again.

I switch the tv back to the gaming session we had a few minutes ago. I can't believe this is happening again. It was pretty close by, and I can't imagine the fight between a demi-god would go.

"Can you guys imagine if one of those Demi-Gods can use their power and decides to destroy humanity?" Hassou asks as he was worried about his cafe, but now he became docile and set his shoulder back to the sofa.

"One man army, if that happens....heh....who knows..." I replied and laughed it off.

There was an incident five years ago. Some mad scientists decided to control the power of the Gods but lose control. The result, the whole full world becomes inhabited by the souls of Gods searching for the right body. We called it the Assimilation.

"I'm curious about blondie, she seems cute. I bet 20 Reas that I can claim her heart." Hassou pulls out his wallet and shows 20 Reas to us.

"You and your high self-esteem...." Facepalm at this moment is a good idea. So Reiko and I did.

Reiko's cildres suddenly rings and shows a notification, a simple reminder, "Oh, right! Hassou, you can pack your stuff now. We're going to my parent's grave today." Reiko shows us the date of today.

"That's today!? I'll head back and change! See you guys later!" Hassou went out of the house and headed back home. Reiko then takes a cold drink from the fridge and lay down on the sofa. As I expected, she already prepared all of the stuff needed to clean the grave. The grave is solid marble, so it's pretty easy to clean.

Living with her teaches me sometimes when things go shithole, you need to take it easy. I wasn't ready as she is now, so I head to my room to change.

I wear the usual T-Shirt cause I'm not a lavish person, Reiko wears the same as I am. That t-shirt and jeans probably are the clothing that she took from the laundry and might as well be mine. Long after we both chill on the sofa, Hassou's car was outside horning his shitty car horn. I went outside to greet his ***. He was wearing a sumptuous button shirt and shorts like one of those wealthy golfers.

"Well, you know how my mum would do if I wear the usual. She would go ape-shit on me saying this is a special occasion." Hassou looks a bit embarrassed as he scratches his head and looks away.

"Alright, since we're all here, let's go!" Reiko carried the housekeeping stuff and put it in the back of the car. Reiko takes the front seat and lays her legs upward like a boss. Seiko took a nap comfortably while Hassou and I chat around.

We arrived at the gate, the gate to the graveyard.

Reiko ran around to look for her parent's grave. She lost her parents during the Assimilation. Both of them died at the burning hospital, leaving Reiko as an official owner of the Hansaki's Household.

She was diagnosed with malaria back then. She had to go to the hospital, but a few months later, the Demi-God incident happens and nearly destroyed all of the buildings. Everything was set ablaze by the time Hassou and I arrived, but both charge head-on and managed to save her. We didn't know both of her parents were caught in the flame, so we went looking for them until the news confirms it.

I'm the only family member left to her. Hassou and I were lucky enough to save her from the fire, but after the incident, she blamed herself for her parents' death. It hits hard to her, but so did both of us. The world was in chaos and panic back then nearly millions of people died, causing massive damage to the world.

Faernasia is a world of magical being and futuristic technology now, thanks to that incident.

"huff...still dusty as ever..." Reiko found her parent's grave and clean it straight away with the broom she brought.

"5 years, huh...." Hassou mumbles to himself. Reiko turn her head towards me and ask, "I wonder if mum and dad would say if they were here?" She is looking at me with hopes and dreams like a little girl who knows nothing but her fantasy world.

"They would kick your *** for not doing your laundry." I pat her head with my dirty hands. The three of us pay our respect to Reiko's parents and decorate the grave with flowers to keep them fresh as ever.

"Reiko, take the car key and head home first. Imaro and I are gonna chat a little bit more." Hassou throws his car key at Reiko and hit her head.

"Alright then, umm...Don't forget to get dinner on the way back. Have fun!" Reiko left the graveyard and head for the car.

Every year, there is a star that appeared and can only be seen from a specific perspective. Left and right, all we see is just trees and bushes. Although it may feel like we are in a horror film, it doesn't scare us.

There isn't much to see from up here, but as the sun set down, we look up in the sky to do stargazing.

"You know...my mother used to bring me up here, said that this is where she met my father. Both fell in love. We both grew up together in a completely different background, we fought each other, but we remain as a friend. Why is that?" Hassou lay down and feel the grass around him.

"I'm not sure." I replied

"You know what. I'm pretty sure both of us never wanna know that shit. You and Reiko are a family to me. Nothing else really matters." I sat down and looked up in the sky to see the stars. From our perspective, we can see the obnoxious tall Starlamen mountain, piercing the cloud as we look further beyond the heavens.

"heh....we're both being dramatic about this-" suddenly something moves within the bushes.

"Probably just some squirrels or something." It didn't bug me, but Hassou went to check it out.

"You sure? That doesn't look like a squirrel to me." Hassou opened up the bush and saw a chained hilt tied down to the ground. It was a Katana for sure, but they're nothing but a hilt, no scabbard, nothing. Just an old, dirty sword handles tied up with some chain together.

"I wanna touch it." I went inside the bush and take a closer step and look.

"Dude, what the ****? It's obviously some sort of a relic or some shit. We gotta be careful if we wanna sell this!" We stare at each other, agitated to have this weird looking relic.

"How much Reas do you think could go-" I take a very close look and hold on to the hilt. The hilt's chain suddenly broke off, letting out lighting around me, and clouds suddenly gather on top of me.

"Okay! WHAT THE **** WAS THAT?!"

"I-I-I can't let go! My hand just sticks right to this thing!" Hassou started to panic and ran down to my rescue.

"Holy shit! Is this some sort of super glue?! Pull harder damn it!" The flashes of lightning around me start to grow more robust than before.

"Hassou! Get out! You'll get struck by the lighting as well, so fucking go!!" He didn't leave me. He was clawing and pulling my hands with everything he has.

"**** you! Reiko is gonna so pissed when she found out about this! I'm not heading out of here without your worthless ***!" I looked at Hassou's face. His gray hair was shocked by the lightning around me; it zaps around and hit one of Hassou's purple eye; his skin begins to pale and crackles as the lightning touches him. He screams in pain, burning his skin, making scars around his hand and face.

The lightning strike then blows Hassou away into nothing, burns the grasses and trees around me.

-A few minutes later-

I woke up and wondering what just happened. The grass and trees around me darken, and I couldn't see Hassou anywhere. I remember now, and he was blown away. Did he die?

I had no injuries except that my skins are having some sort of a goosebump. I open my cildres and check my face.

My hair is still short and black.

Eyes remain yellowish gold.

What happened?!

The hilt's chain was broken, and I was holding on to it. I wander around without knowing how am I still alive after that thunderbolt hit me.

"What the ****?" suddenly, a snake came out of the bushes. It looks like it wants to attack me. I raise my hand to defend myself before it strikes, but something went wrong, my hand was covered with electrical current, and a lightning bolt came out of the tip of my finger. The lightning bolt hits the snake, roasts the snake inside out.

*I'm pretty sure it's here! Come on!

I heard a loud voice, a girl's voice, but she wasn't alone.

"There! Kunino, I found him!" Said the girl with a tank top.

"Who-who are you? What do you want?!" I started to panic and backed away from the girl. She doesn't seem to be a threat, but I digress.

"Alright, chill! We're here to help. We saw the thunder strike, and my friend here thought it was another demi-god incident." She points her thumbs towards her back, and I lean to my right to look back.

"Yui, please slow down! I'm not like you..." another girl shows up in front of me. She's blonde like from the television I saw earlier today. Her arms and legs covered in metal plates, and she brought a massive weapon twice of her size.

"My name is Kunino Hikari, and this is Yui. Don't be afraid, we're here to help." She lends me her hand and pulls me up to stand for myself. Her hand is odd, it felt rusty, smells rusty too. The strength of her pull is incredible, or is it just my adrenaline?

*SKHHRRIINNGG!!!

My feet went jelly as soon as I saw the trees behind them fall in a single slash. It was a woman, but this one seems different. She's wearing a mask, a glowing blood-red mask surrounded by black metallic shards. She wears a dark cloak, and she's holding a gun.

"Yui Duck!!" Kunino rips her bag, revealing a giant cannon. It didn't take second for her to fire that hellish cannon without hesitation. The sound of the barrels was deafening. The blast blew hundreds of scrap metal away. Trees turned into charcoal, and the ground that had grass around her reduces to ashes. After the shot, that woman went flying out of our sight, crashing through multiple buildings across the road.

"It's not safe here, so come with us! You'll be safer!" Kunino threw the firearm away, seemingly broken in a single shot. The smell of gunpowder and the heat of molten metal is in the air.

"Hey, kid! Get your *** up straight! We need to move before something like that shows up again." I choose to crawl myself up and follow them both, and there will only be a danger if I go back home now. I have no idea what just happen. If I follow them now, I might find some answers to what happened.

I'm sure that this is the start of something dark within the world that I never understand.

"Who are you?! I know who's the other girl, but you." I reluctantly clear up the misunderstanding and point my finger at the tank top girl.

"Name's Yui!" She's pretty tall, wearing only a black tank top, camo pants, and heavy-duty shoes. Even though she's with Kunino, I don't understand her role here.

"Oh, thanks for the fucking introduction miss Yui but can anyone explain what the **** just happen??" Kunino Rubs her forehead and turns around.

"You're a demi-god from now on! That's what happened! now calm down and be quiet!" Kunino still glares me with those eyes, but I can't help to know that there are sympathy and compassion in that gaze. Regardless of what happened, I need to know everything.

"That lightning strike made my fuckin friend disappeared! who and how the fuckin hell would anyone just calm down from that?!" I rat it all out, and Yui is starting to get nervous.

"Sorry, but I need to do this…" Yui swings her leg high up in the air, knocks me out of consciousness by kicking my head. Yui then piggybacks my unconscious body along the way.

"You know...i didn't expect this guy would just flip out…" Kunino rubs her forehead, thinking that she maybe went too harsh.

"What can you honestly expect? you just take out a cannon and blast someone out of the pictures and then tell him that he's a demi-god."

"True, but...I just thought that he would be patient enough to wait for our answer once we get somewhere safer." The siren was all over town. Police head over to the graveyard and someone reported that they heard a gigantic cannon sound.

"We attracted too much attention. Veyron might send one of his to hunt us down sooner, or later or maybe no cause we you just beat the living shit out of Ksenia and Falman." Yui and Kunino run away from the crowd and hide over to the alley away from the street where they would be hunt down.

"This guy would've been dead if we didn't come to save him. Yui, make the call to Ogu. We need to make points over town to get back to the hideout."

"Got it! Peace for both-kind!" Yui pat Kunino's head and lets out a big grin over her face. Yui then opens her cildres and call Ogu over the phone.

"peace for both-kind…"

In this world now, Demi-gods were once human. Veyron drove us away for his project called Project: Anti Demi-gods and created a law where demi-gods must abide by his rule or die. His standards were right, and we shouldn't even exist with such power, but despite all that, tyranny. I choose to fight so that humanity and demi-gods can co-exist while he doesn't believe such things.

I believed that Demi-gods could co-exist, and I can help them. No matter the time and places, humanity is fragile, but so is the demi-gods. With the human mind and power, we could've built a far more significant and much better world for everyone to live.

"Kunino...we better get a move on, the crowds are dispersing." Both rush towards an abandoned mall to rest.

-Hansaki's Household-

Reports over the graveyard, thundering power, and a presumable fight happened there. There was a trace of dense gunpowder and burned forest, and at least two to four people were involved in this fight. Police Agencies are investigating the site as we speak, and one believed to died and left a burned watch behind while the rest are missing. It's all over the news, no bullshit what so ever.

"those….boys...oh no…" Reiko refuses to believe that could be the two closest friends she has. Her face turned pale. The more she thinks about it. Reiko quickly called her supervisor about her dire situations and made a call it day off to search for the two.

She then makes a call towards the Police Agency that the burned watch belongs to her friend.

"Please…do not let it be them…" Reiko prays that nothing terrible has happened to the two. She packs her bag and gets dressed and quickly as she possibly can and heads out with her car. The phone managed to get through, and luckily it was an inspector who picked up the call, arranging her problem related to the incident just to get a face to face answer from the Police Agencies.

-Tenmugishi's Police Agency Department-

She parked her car by the roadside and slid her cildres over to the parking machine to pay the parking fee and quickly ran inside the office.

"umm...excuse me! I would like to meet with Inspector Stainas! I've made an arrangement with him over the phone!" She places her bag to the reception table and gets the customer services attention.

"Okay, ma'am, may I have your ID?" Reiko hands her cildres to the female customer services.

"Hmph! Miss Reiko? Let's not wait for customer services. Come with me to the office. You! Get the data quick, I don't wanna waste time." Stainas came out of the office looking disordered, stinks like alcohol, and greets Reiko instead of waiting. He's higher than anyone in the office, long white textured hair, and it looks like he hasn't shave for a few days. He's wearing a black leather coat, a gray button shirt with motives inside, and a black pair of trousers.

"Yes, Sir!" the lady on the reception replied, she immediately put in the data and gave Reiko's cildres back. Reiko and Stainas then move over to the interrogation room to have a private chat. Inside, the place is pretty neat and straightforward. Just a single light in the middle of the room. A camera on the top corner of the room. Two seats and a table with a cuff on the table.

"so you are Reiko Hansaki, correct?" Ask Stainas.

"Yes, and I would like to know what happens to the man that owns the watch!"

"Calm down, missy. Here's the watch." Stainas slides over Hassou's gold watch covered with a plastic bag.

"That's...that watch belongs to my friend, Hassou Tobi. what happened to him?!" Stainas's deduction is right on track again and hands out Reiko with his information.

"gone...apparently...there is a trace of his flesh on the watch, but we think Hassou is burned into nothing. There is another one though a high chance that the other manages to escape. There is a large quantity of electrical current over the area and probably was taken away. We're searching for him as best as we can. Mind if you tell me more about the two?" Reiko was so shocked that she starts crying. No matter the answer, she wasn't ready for it.

"Hikkss...the two boys were Hassou Tobi and Imaro Sentoukai. We grew up together and…" Reiko was gripping her skirt and holding on the tears in her eyes.

"enough. I'm not going to force you into telling me this. We'll find him. (She's not in good condition if this keeps up. The other guy is dead while the other turned into a demi-god. That lighting mark is not something that can be made with batteries. Imaro Sentoukai just became a demi-god, I can't let this information gets out of hand or even let Veyron taste this. High probability is that the people who took him away or saved him is probably the infamous Kunino Hikari.)" Stainas went out, leaving Reiko in the room and saw Veyron's secretary reaching out her voice for him.

"Sir! Veyron would like the report on the recent attack of the demi-god!" Stainas overlook her body figure and ignore her words. Her name is Avadel Brookwitch.

"Attack? You muppets are all the same. Whatever I say would change later on, so why the **** would YOU come to my agencies and **** all the info I gave you?" The entire agency went silent the moment Stainas starts spraying his words out.

"With due respect, this report is crucial to Mayor Veyron." Avadel began to fall back and became hesitant when every eye in the office leans to her.

"Oh right...crucial...crucial to get people to vote for him about the anti-demi-gods? You fucker are the reason why demi-gods have a bad reputation, and believe me! I've seen worse in you pricks spitting over the office. Here's the file you need." Stainas gave her a cildres containing the information about the recent incident. However, the report was all about the victims without any names. Stainas only are providing nothing but the name Kunino Hikari. The secretary took the cildres and head outside to take a ride back to the ministerial building.

"You fuckers better give the right info and this is the last shit you fuckers get from me if i don't see my report on the media!!" Stainas threw a can of beer to the car, leaving an unpleasant dent over the black sedan car.

"Sir? I think you should take a day off. It's been a long night." The receptionist lady takes his coat and put it on his back gently.

"Yeah...after a few beers..."

-Haborashi abandoned Mall, Tenmugishi.-

"ugghh...." I woke up with a mild headache, but i remember the kick is off the charts.

"hey! You awake?" Yui sits right next to me the whole time I went down. I think she played a game the entire time and paused it by the time I woke up.

"Is this some sort of a joke?" I ask.

"Nope, but I love the gig! So anyway, Kunino wants to talk to you." She opens her cildres to continue her game.

"About damn time...I need some word with her-" Kunino suddenly steps in the room.

"You okay?" I nod to reply.

Kunino is just a child, 16 years old child. Her metal arms and legs were disturbing as if she never had limbs. She walked closer to me and sat right in front of me with a pitiful face.

"Did I...have I turned into a demi-god?" I ask.

"Yes, unfortunately."

"I see...so i'm the monster everyone is talking about."

"You're not, and you are still you. You're not a monster, and that is the same with us. The only difference is that we demi-god can use the power of the gods."

"Gods?"

"Yes."

"If I'm a demi-god, whether good or bad, someone is coming after me?"

"*Sigh...his name is Veyron Yverkas, he's been working on a project called the anti-demi-gods. I'm sure you've heard his speech about doing a project to link demi-god and humans, right?"

"I've heard about it like three years ago. Isn't that why you're the criminal here?" I reluctantly point out.

"Or so you've thought that is the case. The project has been altered to eliminate demi-gods instead."

"Kid...you sure know how to get straight into the point, huh?" I chuckled a bit to see a 16 years old girl know what she's talking about.

"I know how to talk. Tell us your name." Kunino let out a smirk on her lips.

"Imaro. Imaro Sentoukai."

"Alright, then let us introduce ourselves. My name is Kunino Hikari, and she's Yui. We're the very few survivors of the demi-gods around Tenmugishi."

I have yet to learn anything, but this is a start for me. I'm a bit relieved to know that I'm still in one piece, unlike this little girl.

"Veyron has a special team that is capable of tracking us down. If you went home now, they are going straight after you but luckily you won't be in the news nor your name in the public."

"let me guess...inside job?"

"Hey! there are good peoples out there that are still look at our good side. We're no different than a human you know." Kunino seems like a child from the outside, but I can tell. No .anyone can tell she isn't something out of the ordinary. She seemed confident about me safe from the news.

"At the moment, it's just...it's too much to take in."

"I know...but personally, and I won't make you fight with us. This isn't your fight. You have a choice here." Both stares at me, as if they are waiting for me to give them the answer. There is probably no right or wrong, just choice as she implies.

"Run or fight?"

"Fucking fight it." And so my life went upside down within a day from an engineer to a demi-god.

"First up! Get beefed!" Yui is dragging me around town.

"Where in the world are we going?"

"Breakfast."

"let me guess, breakfast dish with beef?"

"BOI, you're smart as ****." I didn't get any sleep, well not ANY sleep, but I don't think to shut my eyes for 2 hours count as sleeping. It's 7 AM, and this bitch just picked up my *** like a paper and grab my it over her shoulder.

"How are we still walking around the corners of the street?"

"Well, We're lucky enough to be demi-god without showing any kind of...adjustment..."

"Adjustment?"

"Some demi-god has horns, wings, and sort of things it's like a feature, but at the moment, it's too obvious to say~ this, and that is a demi-god." Yui suddenly stops at a noodle shop. I can tell why she loves the place. The scent of cheese and beef is mesmerizing enough to make anyone go hungry.

Yui placed me down, and we both went in. Out of the ordinary, this place is perfect — the lovely red curtain, the smell of sweet and hot delicacies lingering all over the shop. Smooth wooden table, looks ordinary but they got coffee beans in the middle covered in glass.

"Why isn't Kunino with us?"

"Like I said, Adjustment. Everyone knows that Kunino Hikari is a wanted girl that has been making trouble and has metal arms and legs. I bold it out just in case, so I usually ordered a take away for her." The waitress came to us a few seconds later, after we took a seat.

"Ahh! Yui!" the red-haired waitress seems to know her too.

"Ester! could you give me the usual but make it double?"

"oh~your boyfriend?" Ester looks like a typical housewife. I can tell from her attitude, and she looks gorgeous with her red hair and red-eye... I'm guessing she's from Bielefield.

People born in Bielefield has an unusual hair colour, especially those who have stayed there for sometimes. It said that Bielefield was once the home of many gods and left an essence of power lingering till today, which may be, in my opinion, changes most people to have different hair and eye colour.

"Naaaahh...he's too cute for mine. Anyway, how's Exces?" Ask Yui with that exaggerating moves. That one girly finger play, Reiko usually does that, but ****, when did this shit gets default?

"Exces just got into her highschool! She even got the highest score, and gosh I am so proud of her." Ester seems to love her daughter so much, typical mom type that often worries about her child.

This conversation continues like forever.

-Tenmugishi, Police Agency-

The average day around the office, copies of reports and papers all over table and cases needs to finish — Kim is at his room with Alren finishing up with his work.

"Alren, what do you think of this?" Kimber tabs over to the latest report posted on the network. Alren came out with his spider legs to take a look at Kim's work.

"They....manage to manipulate the data?? How? We both encrypt the files." Alren was confused about his latest work on the incident that happened last night.

"They got someone on the other side, that's what I think, and that guy is no joke. Unless of course, they make their data but that can't finish overnight just like that." The news that they encrypt was the truth.

Stainas was sick about Veyron keep manipulating the data and spread the news about how lousy demi-god is and pull in some supporter to bank him up over his project. That incident causes full block shops to be closed down because of the debris. What's worse is that they said it was demi-gods did it with their power to fight against the project and blame it at the wanted criminal, Kunino Hikari.

The problem is that the cases haven't reached its conclusion, Stainas are still debunking the whole incident.

"Stainas is gonna be so pissed when he read the news, but that won't happen." Kim started to key in a code and found the data source. However, if he deletes it now, Veyron will start tracking here making a fuss again.

"We're back!" Yui happily waves at Kunino and a big guy.

"Come on. We got some new info." Yui and I ran over to Kunino side with this big guy. He's enormous like huge. REAL HUGE.

"By the way, this is Ogu Aegisalt. He's a great informant of ours, and he got something for us." The guy is like two meters tall. Got that awesome spiky hair and holy **** his body is like those muscle builder or one of those guys that drink a protein shake for water.

"Hah! name's Ogu, you?" Ogu swings his hand for a handshake.

"Imaro, I just came here." just a shake from his hand, his strength is no joke. It's like comparing jelly beans with a fuckin metal.

"Well! Now that you've known everyone, time for the job. The incident last night we pulled? It's all over the news, and according to our friend at the police agency, it's the work of Mich Sebastion." Kunino gave us a report file encased in a thin plastic. Mich is a brilliant scientist, Computer engineering, biologist and an electrical engineering degree is on him. He's short with that disgusting, messy hair. I'm sure that glasses of his is the only weakness besides physical attribute.

"Well it's the news, they always come faster than anyone, right?" I said it out of the blue.

"The issue is that the Police agency hasn't reached its conclusion and somehow with no evidence what so ever, they put it on the news."

"Data manipulation? That's cheap." I chuckled a bit, but everyone was so intense that they stare at me.

"We're going to find out how he did it and stop him before things get worse than it should be."

"Woah Woah Woah...Hold your horses. I got nothing in me, and I don't even know my powers yet."

"I'll help you with that. In the meantime, Ogu and Yui, you guys, gather more info and hopefully we can find something that can help us." Both nod back to one another and leave both Kunino and me alone.

It was awkward, and she just looked at me where ever I go. I know she's thinking about me, but does she need to have a staredown with me? I mean Yui and Ogu are packing up their stuff. You know what? I don't know. I'll let her do her thing, like who the hell am I to judge?

"Come with me and take a seat." Empty mall with nice yellow cushion for a seat? Hardly an abandoned one. I followed Kunino down to the basement corner and took place right in front of her.

"So how do we do this?" Kunino just sits there, doing nothing while closing her eye. It's somewhat hard to believe her at this point. Is she a demi-god or are that arms and legs are just an walking stick?

All of a sudden, all of her arms and legs start to float piece by piece.

"This is the gift of being a demi-god." Kunino starts to float as well, and metal pieces were flying around her. It's hard to believe that even a demi-god has this sort of power.

"I know, right?! this is my power, I can create a magnetic field around me when I increase my weight and density."

"What?!" I panicked and took a step back.

"By increasing weight and density, I also gain the ability of superhuman strength and durability. Not only that, I can control which metal to levitate or stop." I slowly approach the levitating metal around and grab one then I push it back, and it floats again. Incredible.

"That's...actually amazing...how in the hell? I never thought this kind of power exists without machines!" I walk around Kunino to watch her power. Her magnetic force then gather lots of metal pieces and can melt it down together. It turned into liquid metal and took form into a bright metallic ball.

"You. have got to TEACH ME that!!"

"Hahaha...Your powers are different than mine. Yours are...unique, and actually, I've never seen and felt one like it."

"I'll explain. A demi-god has one thing that an average human can't use. It's called the Runic Core, and When you became a demi-god, your body will burst as it tries to create one. A Runic core is like water, and your body is like the glass." Kunino melts some metals around her and shapes a potion bottle and water logo in front of me as I learn the start of my demi-godhood.

"So...the water is like an energy, right? When i used it up, I die?"

"Most think that this could happen but no. You cannot use your Runic Core until it's empty, you'll likely exhaust your stamina to the point of fainting. Anyway, my body and my Runic Core has a limit, but through mental and physical stress and trauma, your glass can expand."

"Physical and mental training! I got it! But you said my Runic Core is unique, and why is that? And how do you know I have a unique Runic Core? Is the Core inside of my body right now? Does it mean that I'll be a human again if I destroy the core?" I got too excited that I just load the questions and Rambo her down.

"Woah! One at the time, please." Well, she's getting nervous.

"Right! Sorry..."

"Well when your Runic force grows, you can sense any demi-god when you get close to another demi-god. The closer you get, the more you know about the persons Runic Core. Runic core doesn't have a physical form, and Runic Core is your body. so if you destroy it, you went full retard and suicide." Kunino presents a human body and runic force in the form of liquid metal. But this shit is so bizarre yet incredible. It's fuckin unbelievable, and I'm repeating myself!

"Why did I said that your core is unique? Well! It's because there is no glass or in the term, depthless."

"What do you mean? Maybe we should make a name the 'glass'. Let's say...Runic Force!"

"Uh...okay...I've never met a demi-god who has no Runic force but has a Runic Core."

"That doesn't make any sense."

"That's EXACTLY what you are now."

Hassou died, and Imaro is missing...I should've gone together with them...If I were there, maybe those two would-

The phone rang, and Reiko quickly rushes over to the phone.

"Hello?"

*Miss Hansaki?

"Who is this?"

*It's Stainas from the police agency. I would like to make a report that we're still searching for Imaro. As for the news, don't buy it. What you're reading from the announcement earlier is a fraud from the governor.

"What?! Why would they make a fraud out of this!?" Reiko starts shouting on the phone.

*Honestly, I'm against it but don't believe the news, just believe in my words, and I promise you I can find Imaro for you safe and sound. I'll report to you at 7 PM every day. Stay in touch.

Stainas hang up the phone, leaving Reiko hanging at the phone. She froze at the telephone and became more worried about the two. She grips the phone as hard she can hope that Imaro would come home safely. Reiko quickly rushes over to Hassou's home to deliver the news.

-Tenmugishi, bunker 07-

Ogu founds out where Mich is hiding and goes to the bunker 07 located near the Mayor palace. The shelter meant to protect civilians from the natural disaster, but this one failed the testing run, and so Veyron change it to a site for his men to work. The bunker can fit over forty people, but it's a site work now, probably just goods and material need for action.

"What the hell?" Ogu and Yui came over to Bunker 07 where Mich was hiding and spent most of the time according to Ogu's info. But upon arriving, frozen bodies were everywhere—no sign of bleeding, broken bone or bruises.

"Ogu, Check the pulse!" both rush over the many bodies scattered but none has a heartbeat nor Mich's body.

"Nothing...holy shit I didn't think that someone would be able to do this!" Ogu wasn't surprised but was frightened. Even for Kunino, she wouldn't dare even to break a bone, let alone killing people like this.

"Check the bunker! We came here for info, not them. They are far too gone." Yui closes one of the corpse's eyes, leaving them to rest at their place.

Ogu ran inside the bunker and saw Cildreses (Computer), instead of using it now, Ogu waste no time and took it all away.

"I got it! let's go!" Ogu took multiple Cildres and placed it on his bag, but all of a sudden, They felt something chilly, something that has never been seen or faced.

"Hey, Ogu? Make a run. Something is chasing us." Yui felt colder than ever, but her power made her an adaptive body and turned back against the cold. She saw red-eye within a thick fog and ran together with Ogu.

*Hmm? They...are the same...? is that suppose to be Kunino Hikari? That woman had an intense gaze. She's the one." The mysterious figure disappeared into the darkness, leaving the bodies along with the fog.
