It was Curtis' first day at his new school he has just moved from the US as his mother had got a new job. Curtis has always hated moving as it meant he had to make new friends. However, Curtis thought this would be good as it meant he could change how he was and be a different person. So Curtis had left the unpacking to his parents and went to school.

When Curtis had got to the school all he could think was "wow this is a big school..." Curtis had went to his home room to introduce himself to the class but he was shy and didn't know what to say so he didn't say anything and let the teacher introduce him so the class only knows his name. After the end of the class Rumi had went up to Curtis to introduce herself but she could see a group of buys had already went to him so she couldn't see Curtis. Rumi is then crowded by a group of girls who keep asking her "why does she want to see the new boy?" and constantly saying that he is just a creep and a loner. All Rumi could think was that she should help Curtis as she realizes that the group that is making fun of Curtis is Adams group.

After an hour a teacher shows up saying that the class is cancelled and the students do any work that they have with this Adam and his group go back to their seats and leave Curtis alone. Curtis being new to the school realizes that he has no work and asks if he could have some. with this the teacher leaves to get some work for Curtis. With the class now focused on the work Rumi thought it would be a good idea to go and talk to Curtis.

"Hi I'm Rumi and I'm the class rep here" Rumi had said quietly

"Hi I'm Curtis nice to meet you to" Curtis had said nervously

"Sorry for the group of boys earlier they aren't the type that accept new people and they also hate school and work so if i was you i would just ignore them" explained Rumi.

"No it is fine i am kinda use to it by now as i am not the type of person people tend to talk to. i just hope this doesn't get you into trouble if you keep talking to me" said Curtis

After class it was the first lunch break and Curtis was confused on where he would go and who he would talk to. This is when he had seen Rumi sitting on her own having her own lunch Curtis had decided to sit and talk to Rumi

"Is it ok if I sit here" asked Curtis

"Sure" answered Rumi with a smile on her face

There was a silence between them at first but Rumi had broke it.

"So have you decided to join any clubs or groups yet" Rumi asked

"No I haven't seen many groups that I like do you recommend any" Curtis said hoping for an answer he liked

"No I don't sorry but if you have any ideas for any class challenges or school events please say and I can try to hold them" Rumi said with a big smile.

The lunch break had ended that Curtis had thought was a lifetime they both handed to their class. With the conversation Curtis and Rumi just had Curtis had a lot to think about like what club he should join and ideas to give for any class or school events. In class was boring and Curtis could only think about the lunch he just had with Rumi.

It was the end of Curtis' first day and he leaves with all types of different emotions. He went home and his parents had finished with the unpacking but had left his stuff in his new room so he can sort it all out himself. While Curtis unpacking his stuff his mother had called him so she could ask about is day.

"So how was your first day today Curtis" asked his mother.

"It was ok I had meet so many different people and the classes seem to be pretty simple so far" said Curtis trying to not show anything that might have his mother suspect anything about the bullies.

"That's good I'm glad your making lots of friends and they aren't fake"said his mother playfully.

It is Curtis’s second day in his new school and he heads towards his homeroom. When he gets to his home room he sees Rumi who is alone. Curtis decides to go and talk to her.

”Good morning Rumi” says Curtis

Startled Rumi says “Good morning Curtis how are you”

”Good but still thinking about what you said yesterday about joining a club” says Curtis

”Oh um I didn’t think you would actually listen to me when I said that” Rumi said with disbelief.

”Yea I thought really hard about it and thought I should join a club as it can help me come out of my shell a bit” Curtis said

That last part made Rumi question what Curtis had said as she feels that he has already changed from their last encounter.

”Curtis do you have any clubs that you like” asked Rumi

”No, I haven't but I was thinking are you in any clubs other than the school council if you would call that a club” asked Curtis

”No I'm not in a club and I don't think the council meetings are a club activity” explained Rumi.

”Rumi do you have any clubs you like” asked Curtis shyly.

”No, I don't do you want to look for some after class and after school with me,” said Rumi.

”Sure,” Curtis said with excitement

With this Curtis went to his seat and the lesson went on like yesterday, however, Adams group had noticed that Curtis had been talking to Rumi and had gone over to Curtis. Adam had started to throw Curtis's things across his desk and also started to take his work.

Class has ended and Curtis was looking around for Rumi so he could ask her more about the clubs but to also start looking for a club with her, however he could not find her. Rumi was in a school council meeting talking about class activities that could happen in the future. So with this Curtis started to find some groups on his own but he couldn't find any clubs that he liked. So he had gone back to the bench that he was at yesterday. Rumi’s meeting had ended and she went for lunch with her friends. Rumi was also thinking about what clubs she would like and what clubs her and Curtis would like,however she couldn't think of any that fit her criteria. So Rumi and Curtis wanted to find each so they could talk about their interests so they have a better idea of what club they could join.

Lunch had ended and the next class had started and Rumi and Curtis both thinking the same thing "should I go and talk to him/her" they both decide that they shouldn't talk as they both feel it is a bit weird. The class went on as usual but Curtis couldn't concentrate as his head was in the clouds thinking about if Rumi was looking for a club or was just ignoring him. This had made Curtis want to find a club more as it proves he had taking In what Rumi had asked him. It was a long class but it has ended now and Curtis had noticed that Rumi was heading his way so he waited a bit to see if she wanted to talk which she did

"Could you find any clubs Curtis" asked Rumi

"No I couldn't see any I liked. did you find any" Curtis replied

"No I had a council meeting at the start of the break and didn't have much time to look for any but couldn't see any" said Rumi

"That's unlucky. What types of things do you like" Curtis said shyly

"Well I like a lot of thing but if I had to chose one thing that would be that I like mysterious things what things do you like" said Rumi after thinking for a while

"I actually like mysterious things as well but I also like historical things as well" said Curtis "are you able to create your own club as I haven't seen any clubs that fit my likes" Curtis asked

"You can but the club has to meet the requirements that the school council asked for." Said Rumi

"OK, that's good so what are they" said Curtis with determination in his eyes.

"The things you need to create a club is a minimum of 3 people in the club, a topic and then of course the approval of a teacher to allow the use of the room" explained Rumi

The school day continues like it did yesterday and Curtis is thinking about what he should do about his club idea and also how he could convince people to join his club. After the school day finishes Curtis heads home to continue to plan for his club. The ideas he has come up with are a club that looks into any theories of any historical events, a club that looks for any history in the school and also a club that looks into any hidden secrets of the school from the past or the present. The idea that he likes the most is his third idea as it is easier to come up with information by asking around and also it also seems fun to look into the school history. Now Curtis had to think of ideas of how to get people to join the club. he thought that Rumi would be easy as she is also looking for a club so all he had to do was hope she likes it. however he doesn't know how to get others to join. Curtis also needs to figure out a classroom for the club.and also a teacher to approve of the club. Curtis had decided to get the teachers approval first as that secured the club room and the teacher
