There was red and blue light, sound of sirens of police cars. Some officers were surrounding and holding on a criminal waiting for their senior's order. Then, there comes a young man which was saluted by others as he was the one senior I talked about.

CHARLIE: Senior, we have caught him. what should we do with him now?

AUGUST: We just have to take him back to the station without hurting him even a bit.

August was talking while walking towards the criminal holding gun in his hand and unfortunately something happened that made everyone gasped. Actually, August fell down and accidentally pressed the trigger of his gun. The bullet luckily only hit the criminal's leg and he fell on ground.

CHARLIE: Senior! Are you okay?

COLLEAGUE:(in disbelief)Not again. What should we do now, Sir.

AUGUST: (getting up) hehe, Sorry I slipped. let's take him to the station. The doctor will treat him there only.

They left for the police station. Until they reach, let me introduce our protagonist.

About: August is a bright person. He can deal with any problems not considering how stressful it is. But, he has a problem. He's very clumsy and everyone at station knows about it. Even their Chief is irritated but he oversees it as August is a skill full officer and successfully completes every missions.

He also has a typical background. His father is a well known business man who wanted him to inherit his business but as he wanted to be in police he fought with his father and left his home. Ever since then he cut all the ties with him.

-------------AT THE STATION------------

Everyone reached the station the criminal was sent to jail and was getting treated by the doctor. August was sitting on his seat talking with his closest junior " Charlie".

CHARLIE: Senior, Did you got hurt anywhere? You are so clumsy.

AUGUST: Yeah, I know and can't do anything about that.

OFFICER 1: August, I heard you again finished your mission successfully.

CHARLIE: yeah, we did and our senior was all lit there.

They were talking until another officer came.

OFFICER 2: August, you have been called by the chief in his office.

AUGUST: ok, I'll be there ( he Left)

OFFICER 2: Heh, see him all proud but I don't think he'll be like this after coming back from chief's office. He again injured a culprit.

OFFICER1: I don't think he will be scolded, seeing his background. He always escape situations like this.

Charlie was just listening them but he couldn't take it anymore and spoke.

CHARLIE: Shut up! Don't you have any work to do. Such a busybodies.

He too left from there.

--------ON THE OTHER SIDE-----------

August knocked the door and got permission to enter.

CHIEF: you are here. Congratulations on completing one more mission

AUGUST: Thank you sir. It's all because of your guidance.

CHIEF: *chuckles* such a sweet talker. You brat when will you stop causing me trouble* twisting August's ear*

AUGUST: Ahh, Sorry, chief. Sorry uncle can you stop, it hurts.

CHIEF: what have I done in my past to get a nephew like you? Leave it were you hurt?

AUGUST:* rubbing his ear* no uncle. It was just a slip.

CHIEF: you have caused so much trouble to me, I can't take it anymore and also, I want to tell you something.

AUGUST: what is it Chief?

CHIEF: There will be a new leader for Team A ( August's team) and who will also be your mentor as you are in need to be tamed by someone.

AUGUST: MENTOR?! No, I don't need something like that, I won't cause you any trouble uncle, please don't do this.

CHIEF:(enjoying as he knows he don't like being ordered around by someone) aww, my little nephew I pity you but my desicion won't change you may leave and continue working. Your Mentor will be coming tomorrow. Don't forget to greet him properly.

August left in anger and banged the door. His anger can be seen with that bang.

--- Relationship between August and Chief---

After leaving his home August joined the police academy and later was assigned in his current police station without knowing that his uncle will be his chief. His uncle supported him with his goal. But, they act like colleagues Infront of everyone as they don't want to expose their relationship.

August was walking angrily towards his seat thinking, how could his uncle do this to him. He just silently sat on his chair and Started working, ignoring the fact that someone was there, waiting for him.

CHARLIE: Senior, What happened?

AUGUST: * snaps out* don't even mention it, that old geezer found a mentor for me and who will also be our team leader.

CHARLIE: Wow, but isn't it a good thing. Now, you'll be guided by someone and become more awesome. I know you don't like it but just make do with it and think about your improvements.

Saying that Charlie left and August also accepted his defeat and agreed about the mentor thing.

----------------NEXT DAY-----------------

August was late and was hurrying to the station. After entering the station we was still in hurry and while going to his seat he bumped into someone.

AUGUST: Ah, sorry. * not seeing that person's face.

CHIEF: August, you are late again, it's your third time.

AUGUST: Good morning, Chief. Sorry, I accidentally ruined my uniform in the morning, so I'm late. It won't happen again, sir.

CHIEF:*sigh* Fine, meet him your new team leader and your mentor.

That someone was just standing there looking at August and chuckling internally at his excuse.

....?: Hello I'm Samson. Nice to meet you.

AUGUST: Hel- * got cut off seeing his face* have we met before? why do you look so familiar?

SAMSON: I don't think so.

AUGUST: hm, My name is August. nice to meet you too.

CHIEF: Samson, he's one of our best officer. He's just clumsy, rest he's quite reliable. Hope you will take good care of him.

SAMSON: Yes, sir. He will be under my care now.

CHIEF: Okay, let's go I'll show you around. Rest of you back to work.

August was still confused if he has seen him before. He was deep in his thoughts until someone tap his shoulder.

They were talking about work. Later an old lady came to them.

OLD LADY: Hello where can I file a complaint?

CHARLIE: Aunty what's your complaint I'll write it down.

OLD LADY: I live at XX place and I have a neighbor. He's a student. He's always at home on time but from last two days I haven't seen him, even his door is locked.

AUGUST: He might have gone somewhere with his friends.

OLD LADY: No, I don't think so, as the newspapers that are delivered at his door everyday are still there, he haven't picked them. Also If he has gone with his friends, he might have asked them not to deliver the newspapers for some days.

AUGUST: hmm, Don't worry aunty we will look into this and will do our best to find him. You may rest assured and go back.

AUGUST: Charlie, take two more officers with you and go search his house and report me immediately if you find anything.

He was filling his cup.

SAMSON:* chuckles* You are even more clumsy than I have heard.

AUGUST:*turned* Oh, sir you are here for coffee too?

SAMSON: hmm, are you hurt? it was hot.

AUGUST: heh, Ofcourse if it was hot it might have hurt, but I'm August I'm fine.

SAMSON: oh? * leans near August's ear* how about I put some ointment on it, baby.

AUGUST: huh? what did you call me sir? I think I have work to do so, I'll take my leave. * was going to leave but Samson grabbed his hand*

AUGUST: what? let go.

SAMSON: why the change in your speaking? I think someone has remembered something about past. What do you say?

AUGUST: I don't know what are you talking about . leave my hand and stay away from me.

Samson left his hand and August left from there.

SAMSON:* thinking* you are still that same little clumsy kid. I think you are still angry about past. But, it's fine I'll clear all the misunderstandings soon.

August was wrapping his hand with the bandage " Ah, it was hot and it hurts" August thought. Then, his phone rang. It was Charlie.

AUGUST: Hello Charlie? did you find anything?

CHARLIE: Yes sir. we searched whole house and found some clothes drenched in blood and some strange medicines.

AUGUST: Ok, seal the house and don't let anyone inside and you also don't touch anything without gloves. I'm coming there with the Forensic team. Tell me more details when I'm there.

CHARLIE: Yes Sir.

August stood up took his jacket and to Forensic lab. There he told them to take their stuff and come with him. They reached at XX place.

CHARLIE: you are here seni- What happened to your hand?

AUGUST* to those both officers and forensic team*: You both go search the house again and forensic team see if you find anything else.

CHARLIE: Senior! I'm asking what happened to your hand?

AUGUST: it's nothing I just spilled some coffee on my hand.

CHARLIE: so clumsy. Next time ask me, I'll bring you coffee or anything else.

AUGUST: Fine, now Tell me about the owner of this house.

CHARLIE: yes, He's name is leo. He's a science student. Live alone, and we didn't saw any photos of his family. He might be orphan or fought with his family. That's all we know till now.

AUGUST: hmm, okay good job.

OFFICER 1(one of them who came with Charlie): Sir, we found a diary and some newspaper cuttings.

DOCTOR (from forensic team): We found different fingerprints and some blood stains that were wiped out.

OFFICER 2( other one who came with Charlie): Sir, I found a basement. Shall we go there?

AUGUST: Good job all. let's go to the basement, doctor you come with us too.

---------IN THE BASEMENT-------

They were coming down with the stairs carefully, as there wasn't any light source. When they landed on the ground they smelled a strong stench of blood and rotten fruits. Officer 1 turned on the torch and they saw some rotten watermelons.

CHARLIE: Eww, what's this. So disgusting.

AUGUST: Doctor, Check the basement and collect the blood samples or fingerprints if there are any. Officer 2 you search the basement and find from where the smell of blood is coming.

---- They were doing the tasks given to them. After searching and collecting blood samples-----

AUGUST: okay, now let's go back and Search more details about the house's owner. Forensic team I want the report of fingerprints and blood samples till tomorrow.

THEM: yes sir.

-------------AT THE STATION---------

They came back and continued their work. August was going through the diary and newspaper cuttings they found at that house.

AUGUST: hmm, he was doing some research about the medicine we found at his house And the newspaper cuttings are about these medicines only. We will be able to find about these medicines till tomorrow, I guess.

CHARLIE: Senior, this the more details about Leo( missing guy).

AUGUST: Oh, thanks* going through the file* so, he used to live with his parents in a village and he left his home to complete his studies in a city. huh? what's this? he had a sister too. Who died long time and the cause was intake of some strange powder. I guess that's why he's doing a research on these things. What do you say Charlie?

CHARLIE: yes, senior it might be the case.*speaking tiredly*

AUGUST: huh? you seem tired wait I'll bring you a coffee.*he left*

CHARLIE: *Sudden realisation* wait wha- No! * ran behind him*

August was going to fill his cup but Charlie snatched it.

AUGUST:*frown* what?

CHARLIE: I'll do it senior. your hand is injured.here *handing the cup*

AUGUST: oh, thanks.*takes a sip*

SAMSON: oh, everyone is here.

CHARLIE:*slute* good afternoon sir. You are here for coffee too?

SAMSON:*looking at August* yeah can you fill mine too?

CHARLIE: Yes sir.

SAMSON: you bandaged your hand? you could just have asked me. I'm your mentor after all.

AUGUST: No, I'm fine I can do these things my self* quite rudely*

CHARLIE:*awkwardly* h-here sir. Don't mind him sir he's just bothered by the new case.

SAMSON: what's the case that's bothering a skilled officer?

CHARLIE: it's about a student that's not back home since last two days and on search we found some strange medicines, blood samples and in basement some rotten watermelons.

August was just standing there not saying anything. With face of " just leave already".

SAMSON: oh, that's quite interesting case. It'll help newbies like you a lot in improving. Okay I think someone don't like me being here. I'll take my leave then.

CHARLIE: y-yes sir.

AUGUST: finally he left. Let's go we also have so much work to do.

And there was Charlie confused thinking what's happening with them. But he ignored it as work and earning money is more important you know.
