( Before the accident )

Third person pov:

The two was having a breakfast..”brother have u heard the festival near our town?” Dwane a 14 year old girl , “Yeah..but I need to work dwane..” her 19 year old brother says to her. She pouts from what her brother told her.

When he saw what his little sis looks when he declines her he sighs “fine..but we need to go back too cause I have work dwane-“ she interupts her brother “can i just stay at your workplace?” He shake his head he doesn’t want her to see what her brother works at “no dwane I already did what you want right? Then after the festival you need to go home..”

She nods, she understands it’s just she wants to be with her brother but she have no choice “okay brother” she smile softly “good girl “ her brother ruffles her hair “by the way.. I earned up some money..this school year you need to go to school-“ she interupts him again “brother please.. I don’t want to go!” She sulked he sighs

“Dwane u need to-“ “how about you? you should be in college right?” He sighs in frustration “brother I don’t need to go..they’ll just teach some stuffs that I already know” dwane is only 14 years old but she knows alot of stuffs..sometimes she knew how to hack electronics.

“You decided fine I wont push you” she ran and hug him “thanks brother!” He sighs and hug her back.

(Festival)

“Brother..” she look up at him while her brother was buying some stuffs “yes dwane?” He look at her, “the feetival looks fun..let’s go there!” She smiled happily as her brother watch her he smiled and nod at her.

Some of the people in the town was dancing or selling stuffs nearby, “brother can i ask u something?” He looks at her “what is it then?” She smiled “perhaps..what’s your work brother?” She asked happily , her brother’s smile..slowly faded from the question she asked “uh..at the cafe why?” She smiled “can we go there next time?” He was really nervous right now..”s-sure” he smiled.

The festival went well both of the sibling went from different bazaar and ate alot.. both of them are on there way home because Louis need to take dwane home , he has some work to do.

“What time will u be back brother?” He ruffles her hair, “don’t wait for me dwane.. I think I’ll take overtime at work” he smiled and kiss her cheeks as a goodbye.

(11:00 pm)

Dwane’s Pov:

I can’t sleep..something’s bothering me so much.. I don’t know what is it.. I get out of my room and drank some milk so I can fall asleep, I was about to go to bed when I heard a knock from our door.. “brother?” I thought he’ll come home late?

I went to open the door when I saw my neighbor, he’s frustrated and sweating “uncle jo-“ he interupts me “honey your brother is dead!” I was taken a back from what he said.. no brother he isn’t!

“Uncle please stop the joke.. it’s not funny-“ he grab my wrists “let’s go at the hospital.. “ I didn’t believe him..unless I saw my brother’s body! No he wouldn’t leave me like mom and dad please..

We came inside the hospital I’m nervous and sobbing, we enter a room and that makes my whole world change. My brother was lying in a cold bed.

I ran up to him while crying hard “brother!! Wake up no.. you wouldn’t be dead.. please stop the act brother...” I sobs “brother u told me u wouldn’t leave me right.. so stand up there and wake up please..” I cried harder when I got no response from him no the only family I have left me too.

Everyone starts leaving even uncle jo.. I’m still here beside my brother’s body..no he’s not dead please.. brother I’m tired with this joke.. I can’t.. I was cut off from hugging my brother when a doctor came in..he’s so tall like my brother.. “Ms. u should leave now.. we’re taking care of his body” He says but I declined “please no.. don’t take my brother away from me please” I says between my sobs

“I know it’s hard to lose a family but I’m sorry we really need to take care of his corpse now” I can’t argue with them anymore..I’m tired from everything, brother why did u left me? U promised me u wouldn’t dare to leave me like them!

(1 week later)

Third person Pov:

After her brother’s burial she never get out of their house even uncle jo.. he didn’t saw her even once going out that house.. he’s worried cause she’s still young and need a parent support but when they tried to knock on the door they only got a response of “no” , “get lost” or “leave me alone” That’s why they only left her food outside their house.. but still it was left unmoved.

Uncle Jo’s Pov:

Its been 2 months.. what if that kid was dead.. I think I should ask some help from the adoption.. she need someone would take her.. she should be taken care.. but I’m busy.. so i should call the adoption center.

“Oh hi Susan.. I’m sorry for trouble but I just need some help here” “oh what is it jo?” She told and i told her everything about dwane.. “oh..poor kid , okay I’ll help u jo..wait us there for 20 minutes we will just get this stuff done and we’ll go there as fast as possible “ I smiled thank goodness she will be on care.. “thanks “ then it called ended.

While I’m waiting for susan.. i stayed outside their house, it’s been quiet, but before i can here some laughs and shouts from here.. it’s just sad that all of her family was dead and no one dares to take care of her from their relatives.

Third person Pov:

Susan and her workers came with her, “jo!” She smiled at him and jo and the others greet each other too. “Where is she?” Jo led them to hendrix small apartment, “she’s inside it’s not lock too so don’t worry, she never came out of that room susan I’m worried for that kid” Jo says to susan..

“Umm.. we should open the door and get her jo.. cause she.need to be groom I guess.. and mayor just called me.. we’re going on a foundation near the capital..” susan says “okay.. I’ll try to call her..” susan and the others was at jo’s back..

“Dwane.. come out please just for a sec-“ he was interrupted by dwane.. “get lost..” jo sighed.. “i think we need to force her now jo..” “but susan-“ he was stopped when someone forcely open her door.

“Susan what is this-“ a man wearing a white suit grabbed dwane and forcely get her out of her room.

“Get off!” She shouts, “susan.. i think she’s hurting..” susan look at jo.. “I’m sorry but I’m in a hurry jo, we need to force her..” dwane was sobbing “uncle jo-“ “get her in the car” she sobs “susan.. i think she’s hurting-“ susan take a notebook out , “just sign this and we’re done.” Jo was hesitant but signed to in the end.

(Orphanage)

“Please..take me home!!” She sobs “darling please behave , and come back to that house? No ones gonna take care of you-“ she screams while sobbing “sh*t this kid..” ,”lara make her asleep” lara follows susan and take a medicine and later on dwane slowly getting weak and sleepy.

Dwane pov:

I woke up..in an empty room..it’s old too..kinda creepy in exact, where am I?! Uncle jo didn’t even helped me! “Oh so you’re awake “ a girl older than me spoke , I didn’t talk back “mute?” She laughs but I still ignored her for good , I heard she sigh lightly “how lucky I am.. I have a roommate who’s mute” she laughs .. this is it.. she’s taking it overboard!

“I’m not mute” i told her coldly, she gasp “omg newbie you’re not mute, then why did u ignore me?” She asked but I still kept quiet “fine..but that attitude of yours would end after you met the kids outside too” I knit my eyebrows together in confusion..kids? So I’m.. my thought are cut off when she spoke again.

“Yes, you’re in an orphanage kiddo, and some of the people outside are not nice including Ms. Susan” she says.. wait the woman earlier.. she’s susan.

“And some of the kids who grew up here are bullies so be aware.. and stop that attitude earlier..for me it’s fine but for them , they might hurt you”

She lend her hands infront of me “my name is Kira how about you?” I look up at her “dwane..” i says not shaking her hands and continue to look around.

“So how did u end up here?” I sighed “My neighbor puts me here” she gasp “does your parents know this omg-“ I cut her off “my family was dead” she didn’t talk after I tell her that my family is dead..

“You know the reason why I’m here is.. my parents didn’t like the stuffs I did in the past so.. I’ve been staying here for 2 years.. but my parents and I agreed on 3 years here so basically.. I’ll go home next year” she smiled.. “how can u accept that they want u to put here?” I ask her because I’m curious.

“You know i did something terrible before..” I nod and didn’t ask anymore “you wouldn’t ask why?” I look at her “it’s your privacy kira so I don’t mind” she smiled “you’re nice..” I scoff “not at all” she smiled..”i wanna help u get out here dwane” I look at her

“Why?” ,”because u know here in the orphanage is really worse.. don’t worry I’ll plead on my parents to get u out here” i shake my head “it’s fine-“ she stops me “no! I wanna help you” i sighed “fine..but” she smiled “don’t worry my parents and brother is nice so we would be a nice family dwane” i look away

I hold my tears back cause I dont wanna look weak infront of others.. mom, dad and brother.. please guide me and bring me happiness in the future while I met my new family..

Third person Pov:

It’s been 8 months since she was put in the orphanage, she experienced alot.. she got bullied , they also force her to do some chores that should be done by them but they chose to give it to her.

Dwane is a sweet girl before we admit she’s smart but she never dare to talk back or hurt someone that’s why she just do what they want her to do.

Kira and dwane become bestfriends dwane is older than her, so sometimes she was like an older sister for her..

“Dwane.. u know I really wanna go home” kira laugh shortly.. “just be patient kira.. 2 months to go.. then u can go home” kira look at her “how about you huh.. we’ll take u too” she hug her “you know.. I can’t “ kira snorted

“Yes u can..my brother wants another sister too but mom and dad can’t have a baby anymore” she says “why though?” Dwane asked her “mom has cancer..its already at stage 2 that’s why I miss her so much..” Dwane saw kira was tearing up so she hugged her.

“You’ll meet her soon..just be patient” dwane lighten up the mood.. “hey nerd’s help us here aunt susan will arrive in a minute!” Someone shout behind them.

They hurriedly do the chores, aunt susan is an abusive person.. at first she’s nice but when u met her and be with her for months.. she’s an abusive one..

“Have u heard...someone will buy this orphanage and turn to a hotel?” Someone says while cleaning the front door..

Dwane’s Pov:

I’m currently cleaning the bathroom.. aunt lara told me to clean cause some business person will come and visit here.. I heard too that this orphanage will turn to be a hotel.. how about the kids? What will happen to them?

“Omg! Are u blind?! “ I was cut off from my thoughts when I heard aunt susan’s voice... “dwane how many times do I need to tell u do your job faster!” She shouts and move closer to me.. “let me teach u some lessons, u never listen to me!!” She grab my hair.. “a-aunt.. s-susan.. it hurts..” i sob but she never listens..

“A-aunt.. please-“ I was cut off when she push me hard on the floor.. we’re at the basement.. no.

”dwane..how many times do I need to inform you that you need to do your job faster!!” She shouts at me..

“A-auntie I’m sorry.. p-please forgive me..” I trembed and sobs.. I know where this thing going.. she’s going to punish me.. “no.. I need to teach you some lessons! You never listens dwane!!” She grab a wood I moved back.. no..

She hit me in the leg.. I screamed in pain “a-auntie..stop p-please..” I says between pain and sobs.. but she keep hitting me everywhere on my body, “you kid you deserve this! That’s why your family died too” she says that makes me stun.. no..

“I didn’t!” I answered back but that was a huge mistake.. I shouldn’t talk back.. stupid ,later on she grab my hair..that hurts “auntie.. please” she slapped me that make me fell on the ground.. I can’t stand or walk anymore.. my body is numb in pain..

She flash me a bucket of water.. It’s cold.. “stay here for one week! No food or more!” She says that makes me cry more “a-auntie no please..” That’s the only words I can say cause I’m so weak..

Before I can plead again I heard the door locked.. no I’ll die here? Would I meet my family now? i sobs in my thoughts.. how about kira.. they’ll bully her again.. no.. auntie.. I can’t stand it anymore..my body feels weak.. that’s when my eyes went in darkness.

I wokeup from a sudden sound.. footsteps as I can think.. lots of footsteps.. “sir..what are u doing h-here?” I think that’s aunt susan’s voice.. she’s scared? To whom?...I was about to move when I felt a sting pain on my rib “ahh!” i scream.. I can’t hide it because.. it really hurts..

“Someone is inside susan.. so open the f*cking door!” Someone shout.. sh*t.. who is he.. he sounds scary.. please someone save me.. I can’t take it anymore.. my body hurts.. I can see the light from the door.. but before i can see them clearly.. I lost conscious.

Third person Pov:

“What did u do to that kid?” A scary manly voice ask susan.. “um..sir-“ she was cut off “take my sister and and go inside the car.. I’ll take care of that kid” the man says to his guards.. “sir..this kid should stay here Someone bought it from me..” susan trembles while explaining

“Oh really?” He asked in a cold tone.. “sir-“ ,”what will they do to that kid then? Remove her organs? sell it online and get rich?” He asked in a sarcastic tone..

the man walked past susan.. “sir no please-“ she was stopped when he glared at her “take this woman away from me!” The man shouts and his men grab susan “sir.. please she’s paid-“ , “how much then.. I’ll pay double” susan was frustrated “sir no-“ she was cut off again.

“Kill that woman and burn her after” the man says that makes susan’s face turn pale.. “sir!! No please I’m begging you!!” Susan keeps saying those words while she was getting dragged out by the man’s men..

The man carried dwane softly.. “what the h*ll did she do to you.. poor kid” he says while brushing her bruised forehead “tell those men that don’t make her alive or they’ll dead” he says and his men nod.
