Zein's P.O.V

I can't be bothered to scratch my leg. I only wore short shorts so I was always touched by weeds. My rubber shoes are also muddy.

"Are you sure this is the way? Just tell me if we're lost, huh? I don't seem to be surprised," I said annoyed.

"Can you, Zein, be quiet first? You've been whining and whining before, but you haven't been able to help."

I stared at Mia who was busy pointing in the direction. She was the holder of the map she had found somewhere.

"It's too furry. Just be careful there might be snakes around," Dave said.

"Thanks for the intimidation, Dave," Vanessa said holding a stick.

"Sshh ... You'll only get tired if you're still walking," Jerome warned before we walked.

"We're close. Just a little patience," Matt said.

I almost sneered when the mud splashed on my thigh. I looked badly at Vanessa because of the stick she was holding. Laughing it hid by Mia's side. Don't even apologize.

We are going to Hell University which is in the middle of the forest. The group loves adventure so here we are, trying again. Isn't it amazing?

"Ouch!" My face sank behind Matt's back when he suddenly stopped.

Only now did I notice that they all stopped. I almost dropped my jaw when I saw what they were looking at.

An old gate that was oversized and rusted. In the middle of the gate, there was written Hell University and like blood was written there. The creepy!

"Is that it?" Jerome asked.

I almost rolled my eyes looking around. Isn't it obvious, Jerome? in my mind.

"I think so," Mia said.

"What are you doing here?!"

I was caught in Matt's dress.

I was frightened by the sudden appearance of a person who was mentally ill.

"Is this Hell University? We want to enroll here," said Mia.

A smirk flashed across person's dry lips.

~Sh*t! I really don't want to.~

"Follow me."

The person walked first. I grabbed Vanessa's arm. Excitement can be seen on her face while I am very scared.

"I think, it's a bad idea, Van," I whispered.

"I don't think so."

I couldn’t believe what I saw inside the university after we entered. Some students were talking weakly, some were crying, others were staring at me and some were even smiling!

~Super creepy really!~

"You need to register first," said the person.

"It's exciting," Jerome whispered winking at the women.

I feel like the place is crowded but it's very spacious. ~Hell University...~ covered my mouth when the students suddenly ran away.

"What's up?" Vanessa asked.

"Just ignore it," said the man.

"Fight? Eh, why doesn't anyone seem to be stopping them? You? Why are you still here?" Dave asked.

The man shrugged and continued walking. Soon, we stopped at a door. The person, who had been smiling before, confronted us.

"All your questions will also be answered. Come on."

We went inside the room. The mud was in there and the floor became even more muddy because of our shoes.

A woman sitting in a swivel chair greeted us and motioned for us to sit down. We sat down. Tsk! The dirt here. Don't they know how to clean?

"Good morning, newbies. I am Madam Violet, HU's headmistress. Please, fill out these forms." the man handed us the forms.

I glanced at Madam Violet and the old man who was smiling as I filled out the form.

Suddenly my throat went dry so I just returned my attention to the form.

"Welcome to Hell University!" She laughed at the same time Madam Violet and the old man.

"Thanks. Uhmm ... How much is the tuition fee?" Mia asked.

“I’m a Governor’s Scholar, and I carry all my documents,” Vanessa said.

Madam Violet and the old man stared at each other, laughing at the same time. Gosh! Why are they weird?

"It's free. Everything is free."

Vanessa and Mia were happy to be together while Matt, Jerome, and Dave smiled.

"But ..."

We fell silent.

"You should know our one and only rule here," Madam Violet said smiling.

"You only have one rule? Whoa!" amaze said Dave.

Why don’t they seem to notice the weirdness of what’s going on? No tuition fee? Is there a school like that? Or if there is, probably accepting a scholar, but this university? HU? Nevermind.

"7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. is our 'Freedom Night', also known as 'Bloody Night'."

My forehead furrowed. "What do you mean?"

"Everything is free. You have the freedom to do what you want. Bloody Night is the time when killing is legal. So lock all the doors, don't come out of that time frame because you will definitely die," she said with a smile.

I think all my blood went up to my head because of what she said Madam Violet.

"Are you serious?! That's crazy but it's cool!" said Matt.

~Gosh! Don't they know how to be afraid? This adventure is not what I want. This one is scary.~

"You're just new here. It's better if you're careful. Not all friends also consider you friends. Never let your guard down, or else ... You know what I mean?"

~Is murder LEGAL? My God! This is madness!~

We entered the dorm where we were assigned to stay. Six of us will share there.

"Guys, let me breathe first," I said before exiting.

I need to ventilate and calm myself. I have so many negative thoughts like, are we going to die here and many more...

My feet carried me to the park nearby I hugged myself when the cold wind blew There was no one there.

I sat on the rusty swing and rocked it with my feet flat on the ground. I looked around. Many students had been there recently but suddenly disappeared when there was a riot. Are they really that scary? Should I be afraid of anything too?

"You will die."

I looked at the tree where the voice came from. There was a man there wearing a black mask and smoking.

"Who are you?" I was frightened when he dropped his knife full of blood. I shivered standing on the swing.

"Newbie. What's your name?"

"Z-Zein."

He laughed. I was insulted by his laughter because there was nothing funny in what I said.

"Your name sounds angelic, but I'm sure in the end, you will also hold a knife to survive."

He picked up the knife and threw it at me. I was pushed back there. I can feel the dryness in my throat.

"Scared? You shouldn't come in here anymore."

"Who are you?"

He stepped closer to me so I recoiled in fear ~Gosh! The creepy of this man!~

"I am not a friend. No one is your friend."

I was frustrated. What does he mean? Confusing.

"It's already 6:30 p.m. You still have 30 minutes to leave. Lock all the doors. They have warm eyes on you. Be careful you.”

He turned and stepped away. I watched his back until he disappeared from my sight.

~Who is he and who is he referring to?~ The strong, cold wind blew again. I was involved there.

I checked my watch and then ran back to the dormitory. I caught my friends laughing. They looked at me as I slammed the door shut.

"We went to the wrong school, guys! This is no longer for fun!" They laughed at what I said. I was irritated.

~Why not they believe? It's not a joke! Is really in danger we live.~

"You know, Zein? You're going to die of fear first. Just calm down," Mia said.

I looked at her badly. We were startled by the sound of the bell ringing around. I hurriedly locked all the doors and windows. I looked at the wall clock 7 o'clock. We fell silent. The strength of my chest pounding.

"What's that?" Jerome asked.

"It's already Bloody Night," Vanessa said as she was about to open the door but I quickly blocked it.

"What?! Are you going to kill yourself?" I asked annoyed but she just laughed at me.

"Easy, Zein. Just kidding." They laughed again.

~Are they crazy to laugh at something serious?~

"Guys, please, I don't want anything bad to happen to anyone of us. Please just be serious!" I managed to sit on the sofa.

"Sorry, Zei." Vanessa hugged me.

Mia stepped aside from me. “Are you really scared, Zein" said she asked worriedly.

I cried. I'm just afraid something bad will happen to us. I don't want that to happen.

"Mia, I'm serious. There's something in this university more than this Bloody Night. They are hiding lots of secrets."

Madam Violet and the man had a strange look before. It looks like they are planning something or maybe I'm just paranoid.

"Sshh ... Okay. Let's sleep for now, tomorrow morning, we're leaving." Mia hugged me too.

I smiled. "Thank you,"

I whispered. "Sshhh ..."

We looked at Dave when he motioned for us to be quiet. He peered through the window. We approached him and slightly opened the window to see what Dave was looking at. I was so close to Mia's arm. Lots of people outside and wearing black masks.

"Who are they?" Matt asked in a whisper.

They are scary. Who are they and what are they doing outside on such a Bloody Night? Why are they masked? We quickly closed the window when one of them looked at 'min.

We quickly gathered on one side of the room. The strength of my chest pounding as well.

"Did they see us?" Vanessa asked trembling.

"I think–" Dave couldn't continue to say because there was a loud knock on our door.

My chest throbbed harder. "Stop it, Luke!" shout of who from outside.

"Okay okay." It stopped knocking but we still stayed together until I fell asleep.
