“Your off Luther, I’ll close up shop tonight, be safe it’s pretty late out” my manager, Mr. Takanashi says looking at me.

“Alright Mr. Takanashi I’ll be safe, but before I go have you tried out thay cream I talked about? The infomercial said it helps with wrinkles.” I say with a cheeky grin.

“Just go before I make you close up shop.”

“Yes sir” I say as I sprint out of the door. As soon as I step out of the door I check my phone, ‘Only 10:30? Good thing the videostore closes at 12 or I couldn’t buy Hack n Slashers. It’s this awesome rpg game that I’ve been meaning too check out. When all of a sudden I feel a hand grab my forearm from the alleyway behind the convenient store I work at.

“Well well well if it isnt my old friend Luther McCall. Good too see your still around”

I turn around and from the shadows appears Ryu. My highschool bully. He has a sneering grin on his face

“What do you want Ryu? With his grin widening he says

“What I can’t check in on a old friend?”

“You and I both know that ship sailed a long time ago once you started being a obnoxious asshole too me. You made my school life hell.” I say with obvious detest seeping from my voice.

“Well well well looks like somebodys mad. It’s not my fault you had this crazy dream if being a ‘hero’ and had a shitty attitude towards everyone in that shitty school. You dressed weird too. Hell not even the nerds in our school would speak with you and thats saying something.” He says with a shit eating grin.

“If you came here too spout a bunch of horse shit from your mouth then I’m taking my leave.” With a sigh a shake my arm from his grasp when I feel a punch from the back of my head. Falling on the ground holding the spot he just hit.

“Now just what the hell do you think your doing? What gives you the right too just walk away. Besides a rat like you should just stay on the ground”

‘Man this is bullshit’ with a tiger tail sweep I sweep Ryu off his feet. Getting up and putting my foot on his chest.

“Ya know Ryu, i’m real tired of your bullshit. The only reason you have this confidence in the first place is because I didn’t stop you from bulling me or others. I felt bad because of what happened too your parents because I was your friend. Hell I was your personal punching bag through highschool because of it, but now thats over woth. I’m through with your bullshit and if you come near me again I’ll pay you back for all of the greif you’ve caused me ten-fold, so if you know whats good for you leave before I smash that handsome face your so proud of.

Shaking like a scared chihuahua he stammers out “Th-this isn’t over Luther I’ll pay you back somehow” like a scared dog he tucks his tail between his legs and runs off.

‘Yea i’d like too see you try asswipe’

‘Clap clap clap’ turning around I see my manager Mr. Takanshi clapping with a shit eating grin on his face.

“How long where you standing there for?” I ask

“Long enough. That took guts kid. It’s hard for some people too stand up for what they believe in, but even a cornerd ‘rat’ will attack if threatened.”

“You heard him call me that? So you sat there and watched him sucker punch me and didn’t do anything!!” I basically scream”

Grinning he says, “Woah now I was just testing too see if you had the balls too stand up for yourself. Your dream is too become a hero right?”

Nodding slowly I begin too say something but he cuts me off.

“Let me finish before you say something alright? If your dream is too become a hero then you have too stand up for yourself. A hero has too be strong and protect the weak. If you couldn’t protect yourself how could you protect others?”

With a smile I say, “Yea I guess you’re right. But i’m still pissed you didn’t at least warn me about the punch, but thanks for the words of inspiration they mean alot. Anyways I need too make it to the video store before it closes they close at 12. Later Mr. Takanashi.” Turning around I start too go too the store, but before I do I hear a small puff and turn around and Mr. Takanshi is gone with a cloud if gray smoke in his place. ‘Maybe he’s some sort of magician on the side and wanted too make a dramatic exit? I don’t know, but what I do know is this game is going too be epic. Checking my phone ‘11:05 great I still have time. Lets hope the games still in stock’ and with that thought I race off too the store.

Walking into the store I’m greeted with a smiling store clerk behind the counter. I quickly ask “Do you still have Hack and Slashers in stock?”

“Yes we do that will be 62$.” Swiping my visa and entering my signature I exit the store, but as soon as I step foot out of the store I hear a metalic screech. Looking around frantically I find myself looking at into the sky at a bright light. Closing my eyes from the intense light, I hear another screech. Opening my eyes slowly I’m met with a giant metalic spaceship hovering above the town hall with lights shifting from red, blue, green, and purple.Other people hurridely rush out of their houses and cars alike too see what made that noise. I hear one man with a phone in his hand say

“This will make for a great instaspam photo.”

Another middle aged woman saying

“I can’t believe my eyes its a ufo.”

Then theres my reaction.

‘What the actual flying hell. I just bought this new game and now aliens come.’

A humming fills the air, making the trees’ around me shake and tremor from the intense winds that are being generated. From the hull of the ship you can see a small green ball continuously grow larger and then the humming stops but is followed by the ball transforming into a green laser deathbeam that shoots directly into my town. Completly vaporizing people and buildings alike. ‘This is bullshit way too die’ before everything goes black

Black hexagonal, and purple rectangles are all I saw in this deep black abyss. Not a ounce of life except myself. At least I think i’m still alive, I think.

“Open your eyes and turn around dumbass.” Said an ominous, deep voice. As I turn around I see a misty, black smoke seemingly floating in mid-air with a deep dark shine too it. It was floating at eye-level too me , purple lightning slowly pulsating around in a spherical shape. I hear this ball-looking thing say

“The **** you staring at, you got a problem?”

“Uhhh.. no i’m just curious as too what the hell you are. You some kinda ghost or something? Am I dead? Am...”

“Alright alright shut up sheesh. You talk way too damn much. Too answer your first question, no i’m not a ghost. My name is Death. So basically your second question is stupid becuase yea, you died. Tough luck, but there is a bright side too all this.”

“Bright side?! What kinda bright side is there too dying? Going too Heaven?”

“Hahahahahah,” Death laughs a deep menacing tone. “You going too heaven? Yea right.”

“Whatever, just get too the point.” I say.

Death says “Okay!” “This is whats finna happen, your going to be reincarnated into a new world full of fantasy, adventure, and action with hero’s, monster’s, and things you probably will never be able to explain!!” He explains franticly, “I will make you sir a Hero!”

‘Dear lord what did I just walk into. This guys an actual nutjob’ I say in my mind, sweatdropping at Deaths’ antics. “So let’s say this all true and I do get transported into another world. Why are you doing this? Whats so important about me?”

“There nothing good about you, Your life sucked you didn’t have any friends and everyone treated you like trash except your boss but he was a strange dude....” Death looked as if he was weirded out by my boss, “But back to the matter at hand, im giving you a second chance at life you have no say so in this matter and now were done, but before you go here.” A tattered, dusty book appears infront of the spere and floats towards me. ‘Huh thats weird there’s only 5 pages in this book, well whatever’ “NOW BE GONE!!” Death says in a loud deep tone. Lightning struck me and with a flash of red, and green interferring with my vision. And then darkness again, but this time it wasnt silent. I could hear birds chirping in the background. The croak of a frog in the distance. Regaining my senses and slowly open my eyes, I see a green, lush forest with trees as far as the eye could see, easily towering over the tallest skyscrapers from home. ‘Holy crap this is insane’

I find a dirt road leading somewhere into the distance. I dicide to follow it not knowing where it may lead me. At first the jouney didnt seem so bad just tiring , but then i got thirsty ,so i wonder off from the road to find a stream of some kind. Lucky for me i find one in no time not even forty feet from the road, thats when I heard a scream far out into the distance. I run to see what is happening and i come apon a group of people three men and a woman. The men where trying to rob her but she was not going to let them without a fight,so i jump into action since im a hero and all or at least thats what “death” said. When I go to confront the robbers “Stop!!” I said running towards them “This is not right three men against one woman, You people have no class.”I say with a stern voice “HaHaHa!” They begain to laugh as if i didn’t try to intimidate them. “Go away little man unless you want something to happen to you!” The robber yelled

With a cheeky grin I state “I’m going to be the her... I feel a sharp pain vibrate through my jaw and I fall on the ground. I hear the bandit laugh and say in a mocking tone “Where you really going too say you were going to be a hero?” “Well tough luck kid there hasn’t been a hero in these parts for over 200 years.” Besides how could a weak, scrawny looking person like you save anyone?” He says with a sneering grin as his lackies laugh with him. ‘Man he reminds me alot of Ryu, only his punchactually pack a punch too them.’ Standing up much too the bandits too suprise, I pick up a rock and throw it at the leaders head hitting him square in the head. I turn around and run as fast as my legs can take me, trying to lead them away from the girl. ‘What the hell did I just do. These guys look like there on steroids!’ I hear the leader say. “Well don’t just stand there go after him dumbasses.”

I see all of them start running fast real fast or at least faster then your average person, when I came upon a dead end I turn around to see how far they are from me too see if I can go in a differant direction, but its too late they are already to close for me to turn around the leader starts to laugh as he starts to speak “You know that rock hitting me in the head kinda hurt kid, I think we need to show you how it felt dont you guys think so?” His friends nod and agree with dark smiles plastered on their faces. “Lets get started.” The leader said as he began to walk toward me, I tried too run through him, but it was like a running straight into a brick wall, I hit the ground preparing myself to get the shit beat out of me. I sat there for a couple of seconds waiting on them to come ,but they never did i looked up to see what they where doing, but they just sat there looking blank I walk up to them and see that there was something wrong with there necks ,so I hit the leader with a closed fist when I noticed that it didn’t hurt. ‘Thats odd usually hitting anything with a fist hurts, but this time was different, it was like it went through his head?’ I ask myself questionly when I turned to see that his head was gone, blood spewing from his neck “I knocked his head off i’m so freaking strong hehehe.” I say to myself when I hear chuckling behind me i turn to see a older man maybe in his fiftys looking at me. He gets up off the ground and starts walking up too the other two bandits, and flicked their heads off like it was nothing. I started to freak out as blood started showering me and the mysterious guy. ‘Holy shit this old guys strong,’ I say mentally. “How the hell did you do that?! You punched their head off like it was nothing.”

He chuckles again and says “No actually I cut their heads off. It was just such a clean cut that there heads sat there without any blood coming out.” I didn’t beileve the dude, so I said “prove it.” Not thinking much of it when he suddentlu turned towards a bolder and sliced it into four peices, like it was butter ready to be put on toast. I turn to look at the distruction caused by the man thinking ‘what the hell am I going too die again?”

He looks at me with a gruesome, grim smile and asks “are you ok kid?" he says too me after destroying the bolder with little effort.

  "I'm ok, just a little shocked by those guys chasing after me, then you popping up like that scared the hell out of me."

"How did I scare you.” He deadpanned with an emotionless expression.

"You suddenly come out of no where, killing all those men without me even noticing, and then you destroyed a huge bolder With no effort at all while smiling ,and then look at  your face man its scary you have a giant X on your face..." The look on his face when I said that almost made me shit myself.

"Do not ever speak of my scar! Or you will regret it!” He screamed at me

Panicking I stammer out, “I'm s-sorry it will never happen again I swear."

  "It's alright kid, you know I was actually out here trying to find some plants I need for a project I've been working on, then suddenly I felt some type of ominous pressure coming from where y'all where, it led me too you and this small girl here." At this time the girl with purple hair with green highlights finally showed up

"A-are you ok?!” She yelled out of breath from running.

"I'm fine, just some scrapes and bruises," I said.

With a satisfied look she said "good I'm glad".

"Okay Back to what I was saying" said X. "After the guys dropped dead I didn't feel the pressure anymore, so im going to assume that one of those guys where releasing that disturbing pressure?

"What are you talking about?” I asked

"Nothing just thinking out loud ,but don't worry about that lets worry about you, your not of this world are you umm what's your name?"

"It's Luther, and how do you know I'm not from this world. What are you psychic or something"

"First off what the hell is a psychic and second It's not that hard your energy is deferent compared to everyone else around here. It feels like you have the energy of a hero or a demon.” I didn't know what he meant and you could really tell the girl was confused.

"What's going on here" she asks confused

"What I'm trying to say is ,we got a hero or a demon on are hands, but it all depends on what Luther does ,if he goes through this world saving people  and bringing Justice he will ultimately become a hero but if he kills and pillages his way through this world he will grow horns and wings and will be able to breath fire. and we would have a shit show on our hands."

"Really, That sounds awesome I could grow wings?.” I say ecstatically.

Shaking his head "Are you an idiot no that can't happen you would just be another little shit for this world to eat, without proper training which brings me to my next topic, Luther do you have a place to stay?"

"No I have no where to go." I say in a depressed tone

“Jeez no needa be so down” looking at the girl I tried to save he says “what about you? And whats your name. You’ve been quite this whole time it’s really weird.”

Sweardropping she says. My names Lucille, and no not at the moment."

"Ok forget the plants where heading to my house!” He says all too excitedly

We started to walk to Mr. X house

"Hey Lucille you ok? You look like you've had a rough couple of nights."

"Ya I'm fine just frightened and tired. I'm just ready to relax and get some sleep ."

"Ya, me and you both but, how did you end up in the forest by yourself?"

"It's kinda a long story and personal."

"O, well I mean if you don't want to talk about it that's fine."

Long pause

"Awkward." X said braking the tension

"Let's go guys we're almost there. We best get there before dark, bad things can happen around here."

"What type of bad things?"

"Ok first off you got your bandits and assassin's then there's the monster types like ogre's, trolls, and beasts wolf's bears fucking dragons if your lucky enough haha things like that Lucille."

"Well we better hurry home then." She said as she speed up.

"Wait up Lucille." Luther said running after her.

"We're here!" X screamed as we entered his cave like base under ground.

"Not what I was expecting." Luther said after tripping over a bear skin rug.

"Well what do you expect we are in the middle of a forest." X said.

" Well I was expecting a village or something or like a big cabin you know." Luther said with a smirk on his face.

"Something happened at the old place I used to stay at so, here I am."

"What happened". Lucille said with a concern look on her face.

"It's a long story ,something I'll tell you in the future."

"Like when?" Luther asked

" Maybe when I want too tell you ok!" X said practically yelling.

"Ok just please stop yelling?" Luther asked.

"Now for business take a seat. I'm here to ask you where you came from and what do you know so far about our world."

"I don't really know anything about this world yet." Luther explained

"And you Lucille what where you doing in the woods by yourself."

"Umm I don't know if I want to say."

"Come on now I saved your life."

"Fine I ran away from home because my clan are not the type of people I thought they where ok." She said holding back tears.

"That's all I needed too know, how would y'all like to stay with me for a bit so I can train you two and maybe teach you a couple of things about this beautiful and cruel world.

“Well I don't know nobody else in this place I'm down to stay" Luther said

"Glad to here that what about you Lucille are you going to stay with us?"

"I would be honored to be able to come stay and train with you guy."

"So that's that I will wake y'all up in the morning bright and early Luther you can sleep on the floor I got the couch and Lucille you got the bed goodnight."

"Night." Luther and Lucille both said as they drifted to sleep.
