From the very beginning, I was there and from afar I’ve always watched him shine brightly, then I realized it’s been so long ever since my time had stopped.

I entered the building and pressed the buttons as I patiently waited for the elevator, it didn’t take long for the elevator to arrive, I entered and pressed the floor I was heading to.

The elevator was about to close, not until it opened again… and there he was entering the elevator without acknowledging my presence.

My realizations started to hit when I met him again, there we were together in the elevator just the deafening silence wrapping around my hearing.

Even alone, he wouldn’t spare me a glance or a breath, it was as if being with me alone suffocates him, I hate the way I see it like that because between the two of us it should’ve been me who felt suffocated whenever we met.

I hate how he made me feel so high just to push me down to the endless abyss and yet my heart still beats for him.

It’s foolish, I know…

He couldn’t even look me in the eye, with that beautiful cold eye of his that once looked at me lovingly.

His lips once touched mine.

Yet he acts like he never cared.

Like he didn’t love all of me at all.

How long have I been trapped with the longing of you?

I’ve always been your number one fan, I’ve been there ever since the beginning and yet I thought I was one of a kind, I thought that we were one of a kind but I was wrong because it was too easy for you to throw everything away like that.

Just the sight of him…

Just the presence of him…

With him, all those memories came back to me leaving me entrapped in the past.

His existence was enough to shatter me alone.

He was powerful enough to ruin me…

Cross that out, because I’ve already become a mess because of him.

The elevator had stopped and slowly opened, I got out as fast as I can, my heart couldn’t bear his presence any longer.

Goddamn, when will I be able to move on from him? Still loving him will only make me look worthless, as he’s heartless, he wouldn’t even look back at where he left me.

I’ve been drowning in the thoughts of him that I didn’t realize that I’ll be having a meeting with him in it.

Can’t this day get any better?

I’ve always known that our circle is small, and somehow we might bump into each other but for two years we didn’t so why now?

I thought that this meeting with him was already bad but never thought that this whole purpose of the meeting itself was worse.

This has to be a nightmare…

Do you just ever feel lost in life? Not knowing what you want to do and so on…

I have one more school year left before I go to college, and whenever people ask me what career path or college program I want, I just couldn’t give any answer since I don’t know what I want to do.

With a year left, it’ll be spent pondering about what I want.

Hopefully, soon enough, I’d know what I want to be.

I sighed as I took a sip from the iced coffee I ordered, I was just wandering around the corridors on the fifth floor of the school, suddenly I heard a guitar play along with it was the soothing sweet voice of a boy.

Out of curiosity, I followed the trails of melody that I was hearing.

It lead me to one of the empty classrooms on this floor, and there was the owner of the voice, he was playing the guitar and now humming the tune of the song he was singing.

He looked intimidating, his eyes looked cold and one of the reason why he looks intimidating but it also looks beautiful and attractive, as I was scanning his face those alluring eyes of his met mine and then I realized he stopped playing the guitar.

“Ah… Sorry if I interrupted you, I was just curious.” I said.

“It’s alright.” He said and smiled at me.

Gosh, he looks cute when he smiles… but I forgot I was in some situation.

“Sorry again, I’ll get going…”

“You can stay for a little longer if you’d like to hear me perform a little more.” He said as he invited me to stay for a little while.

I stayed and watched him play the guitar, it was relaxing im betweens while he was playing the guitar he asked me some questions, such as my name and interest.

“Well, it was nice meeting you Celeste.” He said as we both bid each other goodbyes.

“See you around, Alexei.” I said then we both left and headed back to our own classes.

We got to know some basic personal information about each other and thats all, and i discovered that were both in the same grade but different class sections.

I never really cared about the existence of other people in the school, I’d only remember if they’ve interacted with me or if they’re some acquaintances.

I entered the classroom and luckily the teacher wasn’t in class yet, I took a seat and my friend started to interrogate me.

“Later.” I said as my eyes trailed on the teacher that entered, which she seemed to understand what I meant.

Class hours passed by easily, and it’s already the end of the day. I and Maven went to the closest cafe near our school and did our usual stuff.

“I waited for you in the school cafeteria, but i never saw you nor your shadow.”

“Ah, I was just roaming around the fifth floor...”

“The entire break you just roamed around?”

“Not really…”

“I actually met someone, his name was Alexei.”

Maven’s eyes widened and looked at me as if she’s in disbelief.

“Girl… Alexei? Like the pretty popular boy?” She said, which left me in confusion.

“Huh?” I said confusedly.

“Celeste, You’re missing out!”

“Gosh Celeste! He’s literally popular and like every girl in the school knows him!”

“You know so much huh, are you perhaps a fan?”

“No, I just happened to know since he’s the hot topic of the campus.”

Suddenly there was a call from Maven’s phone but she didn’t answered it, she just sighed and look annoyed at it.

“Anyways, I gotta go seems like I’ll be busy for the upcomming days.” Maven said, I nodded and waved her goodbye as I watched her grab her coffee and leave.

After Maven left, I was also about to leave to head home but something came up.

“Celeste?” I looked up to whoever called my name.

“Alexei?”

“Can I seat here?” He said and I nodded as an answer.

There was a moment of awkward silence between us, but the silence between us was shattered as he tried to initiate a conversation.

“So uhm, do you wanna get to know each other more?” He asked shyly.

“And if I say no?” His face flushed red from embarrassment, I chuckled when he reacted that way.

“Im kidding, I’d love to.” I said.

“You’re good at making people feel anxious.” He said, and I laughed at his statement.

“So Alexei, I’m a bit curious about earlier.”

“Hm?”

“The song you sang and played…”

“Ah, that’s composed by me.” He said.

“That’s amazing, the melody and lyrics are good!”

”Thank you…”

“You’re talented, do you not have any plans of trying to audtion or sign up with a company?” I asked.

“Well, my close friends did asked me the same wuestion before… but my answer still remainds the same which is a no, but who knows I might change my mind in the future.” He explained and took a sip form his drink.

“Enough about me, tell me about yourself.”

“Me? Uh let’s see…”

“I like arts and music.”

“Welll that’s all I can think of, kinda boring right?”

“It’s not boring, I think you and I really do share alot of things in common!” He said, which I smiled to.

We talked alot more and gotten into depths about each other, and I must say I think that we’ll get along just fine.

We’ve enjoyed each others accompany that we didn’t notice that it was already by dark.

“Is it fine if we exchange numbers?” He asked.

“Yeah sure.”

After that we inputted each others numbers, then he asked if he can send me home since it was dark already which I refused since I really just live nearby.

“It’s really fine Alexei, you don’t have to since I literally just have to walk some distance from my home.” I said.

“Alright I give up.” He said and raised both of his hands as he concedes.

“Aight, Goodbye!” I said and started walking.

“Wait!” He yelled, which made me turn around to him.

“This means were friends already right?” He asked like a child.

I chuckled and answer.

“Yeah!”

Then he smiled and waves goodbye.

He’s sort of odd but in a good way I guess, he’s quite fascinating.

I smiled as I thought of that.
