(3rd PERSON POV)

Eiselletania.

When people hear that name, there will be a common response.

“Who is that?”

People who never heard of Eisel would have asked if it was the name of a newly released cosmetic. Some might say that a little girl next door might have been named like that. But of course, they’re not right.

Whatever it was, the name Eisel was unknown and infamous.

In conclusion though, Eisel was a supporting character in this novel.

“Are you the one who asked me to see you?”

The silver-haired woman who was holding a teacup raised her gaze at the cold voice ringing in her ears. She glanced at the handsome man who was looking down at her as he stood.

“I heard that even a month ago, they persistently sent someone to ask for a reception day after day. Just who are you? I’m not a person that anyone can just see.”

“I know. So, how about calming down first? Archduke Karl Byron.”

At the words that came out of the woman’s mouth, the man called Archduke Byron frowned. The woman smiled at the man who narrowed his eyes.

“By the way, will you continue to stand? I want to see people I meet properly. There is a chair placed on the other side as if it were for you to sit on the other side… How about that?”

Karl’s eyes fluttered for an instant at the blatant words that came out from the woman’s mouth. He stared at the silver-haired woman, as if trying to figure her out, then slowly sat down on the chair. The latter lowered the teacup and tilted her head as if she knew he would sit.

“My name is Eiselletania.”

“It’s the first time I’ve ever heard that name.”

“It’s okay. I figured you wouldn’t recognize it anyway.”

She reacted as if it was no big deal, and placed the cup on the table.

‘He doesn’t remember?’

His mouth opened to the sound of a rattle.

“Are you a noble?”

“The imperial nobles are mostly unknown families, but for now.”

“What is your last name?”

“Aspenser.”

‘Aspenser…’

Karl tried to recall her last name while muttering softly.  His wrinkled forehead and nose were expressing his inner feelings.

Eisel looked at the man who couldn’t remember her.  Well, it must be strange to remember if ever.

Karl, who had been trying to think for a while, finally had a relaxed expression and shook his head.  Eisel smiled brightly at his reaction.

“Don’t worry too much. It doesn’t really matter what family I’m from or what my name is. The key is this.”

Eisel stretched out her long, slender index finger and tapped the table, clasping her chin.

“That I have come to see Archduke Byron and the Archduke finally came to see me. This is more important.”

“The cold weather and the great famine overlapped.  I am busy with the maintenance of the military and knights. You are the person who wanted to meet me. I just wanted to see the face that kept bothering me.”

“The person who bothered the great duke is right in front of him now… How does it feel to see my face?”

“I don’t have any thoughts. However, I just hope it will be valuable enough to bother me all month long.”

Eisel smiled even at Karl’s cold words. He narrowed his eyes at her laughter.

Karl thought that none of the people who knew him could smile like that in front of him. He grew up to be blunt and he was not talkative. There was coolness even if he spoke normally.

As a result, Karl’s deputy knights, and even the imperial family had difficulty with him.

He was a man with a thick jawline, tall height, and straight shoulders. He had a beautiful appearance at first glance, but most women were afraid of him. As a result, it wasn’t easy to approach him even after seeing his background and appearance.

Karl leaned his upper body forward, still looking at the smiling Eisel.

“Get to the point first.”

“Do you mean you don’t have time to have a cup of tea?”

“As you can see.”

Despite Karl’s short response, Eisel didn’t look surprised. It was possible, so Eisel nodded with such a face and smiled again.

“What you said earlier. You hope it’s a valuable business.”

“Yes.”

When he raised his chin slightly, Eisel also pushed her chin up with her fingertips.

“That’s a relief, because my words will be very valuable to you.”

“I’m the one who decides that.”

Eisel smiled smoothly at Karl’s obvious line-drawing attitude. She pushed her upper body back, leaned against the chair, and opened her mouth leisurely.

“I need your help.”

“Didn’t you hear me earlier? I’m sure I said I was super busy.”

“I heard you. But I still need help. Oh, that doesn’t mean I’m just getting help. Of course, I will pay a reasonable price too.”

The man stared still at the red eyes as if they had rubies embedded in them. She was smiling, but her eyes weren’t.

Karl quietly glared at Eisel and moved his finger. His mouth opened when his hand stopped tapping his armrest regularly.

“What kind of help do you need? I’ll think about it after listening to it.”

“It’s nothing. I’m going to do something, but I think it’ll be quite a commotion. This can seem like a riot, a crime, or…. a rebellion.”

“What does that mean?”

“I want the Archduke to balance and soothe it. It’s simple, right?”

Eisel’s words were only absurd to Karl. Riot, crime, and rebellion.

A rebellion resulted to death penalty even by just planning it. She wanted him to understand something like that? She wanted him to go beyond understanding and become a contestant for treason?

“That doesn’t make sense. Are you telling me to become the centre of a rebellion?

It was a colder voice than before. His golden eyes were filled with fury to the point where ice fell. The tone from his mouth was like a sharp spear.

Moreover, the men of the Archduke were notorious for being inflexible and rigid. Asking him to understand that he was going to rebel against such a man was the same as asking him to kill himself here.

“As expected, the reaction is just as I thought.”

Eisel was calm. The red eyes that looked at his eyes remained unshakable. She was not embarrassed by Karl’s reaction, which she had already envisioned several times in her head. Seeing through it, she just put a thin smile on her lips.

“Hah…”

“There seems to be some misunderstanding, I didn’t tell the Archduke to be the centre of rebellion. I just said that I want him to protect the boundaries of law and power with the Byron family’s power.”

“Isn’t it that?”

“It’s completely different. Plus, I don’t intend to rebel. If you look at it, it’s similar to saving the empire and the world.”

Eisel gave him a strange look and bowed her upper body forward. It was very natural to twist your legs leisurely and put your elbow on your knees.

“The Archduke said earlier. Cold and great famine are coming at the same time. This is not a simple matter and you know that. The plague has arrived, and the world is dyed with evil. The demons who have been deported to the end of the world are returning.”

“How do you know that…?”

“At this rate, the empire is in great danger. There is also a lack of tools to get out of the cold now, and there isn’t enough food to feed the soldiers due to the famine. In this situation where they have to deal with demons? I dare to say that 15 days is enough for the empire to collapse.”

Eisel tapped her neck with her finger and drew it sideways. Karl frowned at the appearance and bit his lips. Eisel continued right before he reacted.

“So please help me. In exchange, I’ll take care of the famine and severe cold.”

“What do you mean?”

“I will provide food for 500,000 soldiers for a year. Covers, dry firewood, oil and flints to set fire. I’ll provide you with everything you need.”

“What?”

The words from Eisel’s mouth came so much of a shock to Karl that he began distrusting her words. The reason why he had been busy so far was because he lacked food and clothing. He couldn’t buy food because of the famine.

He tried to buy it even if he put more money on the price, but no one sold their supply. No one opened their barn to fight the very long, harsh, cold and hunger.

‘We’ve been struggling with this for over two months and you’re saying you’re just going to take care of it? Furthermore, a year’s worth of food?’

“Oh, of course, if you help me, it’s free.”

Karl was sufficiently surprised, but the following words surprised him further.

“Did you say it was free of charge? You would really do it?”

Karl’s words, which were formal, had become gentle again. Traces of anger and annoyance from when he first saw her disappeared from his face. Instead, there was a mixture of surprise, vigilance, suspicion, and small politeness in him.

The man, who had been arrogant a while ago, bowed his head at every word she said. Eisel smiled satisfactorily at the change in Karl’s attitude.

“Yes, free of charge.”

“…Do you know what the price is on the food right now?”

“It’s about 10 times the price during summer.”

“You know that and still provide for us free of charge?”

“Shouldn’t I do that much?”

Eisel slowly raised the corners of her mouth.

“I have to pay this much to use a person who is not someone anyone can meet. Don’t you think so?”

“…”

(3rd PERSON POV)

Eisel stared at Karl intently as she relaxed her expression and slowly got up from her seat. She took the business card she was carrying and handed it over to him.

“I am well aware of Archduke Byron’s place in the Empire. His Majesty’s younger sister is the former Grand Duchess of Byron. In other words, the Archduke Byron who’s right in front of me right now is the Emperor’s nephew. In addition to that, you are the commander of the entire army as well as the Imperial Knights.”

“……”

“I’m also aware that you have the highest decision-making power other than His Majesty the Emperor for any wartime situation that might be situated in the empire. Which is why, the only person I can ask for help is the Archduke.”

“…. How far have you researched? No, who are you? Even your family name that I’ve never heard before. Only a few know that secret but you still dare offer such ridiculous conditions.”

Karl followed her and stood up, the latter stared at the former’s eyes. He, who was one head higher than herself.

His eyes rolled, demanding an answer but she ended up reminiscing about her distant past.

“I lived in poverty, but I never thought that money was the best. I knew that there were a lot of things that money couldn’t get. Things like friends, honor, power, and even love?”

Eisel, who was speaking calmly, smiled at Karl beginly.

“But, you’re right! Money can buy everything. Taking control of the Empire’s intelligence network, buying high-ranked archmage, or even hundreds of thousands of mercenaries to deal with monsters and ….”

Eisel paused, then stretched out her fore finger and pointed to Karl, who was staring blankly at her.

“And…to buy the man in front of me, the most influential person in the empire.”

“What the ……”

“I don’t have that much time. I have enough money to rot, but not enough time. If you’re not satisfied with my proposal, tell me immediately. By then, you wouldn’t have to waste your precious time with me since you need to get out and see His Majesty the Emperor.”

Did she send someone to the emperor as well? Eisel’s eyes, who was looking intently at the hardened Karl, smiled deeply.

“Now, choose, Archduke Karl Beorg Byron.”

-ˏˋ ━━━━━━ ʚɞ ━━━━━━ ˊˎ-

(3rd PERSON POV)

“Thank you so much for making a quick decision.”

Thin and long fingers that were organizing thick documents moved gently as if playing a piano. Karl, who was currently watching as the papers put together with a crackling sound was seated crookedly and staring intently at the mysterious woman in front of him.

‘Aspenser.’

Obviously, it was the first time he had heard of it. He couldn’t name all the nobles in the empire, but for someone with a huge fortune, he might have probably heard of it at least once.

Karl, was staring intently cross-legged as he identified her identity. He removed his hand that was gently pressing onto his hip bone and then placed it on his thigh. Seeing Eisel was preparing to get up from her seat made him lean his upper body forward.

“Have we ever met before?”

After tidying the documents in her bag, Eisel smiled brightly at Karl’s question. ‘Before?’ Karl nodded his head briefly and leaned back to his chair.

“I’m not completely sure, but didn’t you say that we’ve already met before?”

“Um. I did, didn’t I?”

“What do you mean by that?”

“It literally means what it means.”

“Then we’ve already met?”

Instead of answering, Eisel then pouted her lips with an ambiguous face. Karl’s forehead narrowed at her lack of response. He didn’t really remember all the people that he had met before, so it’s possible that he unintentionally forgot about her.

However, he was really bothered. She seemed to be someone he had known for a long time.

“When did we first meet?”

“Um, a long time ago?”

“How long has it been?”

“Well. Let’s just say it’s been like over 10 to 15 years ago?”

Eisel tilted her head with her chin on her palm and shrugged.

‘At least 10 to 15 years. That means we met when I was just over 10 years old.’

“Well l, I do understand if you don’t remember me. Adults tend to forget events that happened when they’re still young. Besides, we haven’t seen each other ever since then and I haven’t had any public appearances as well.”

“How did we meet? No, how did you know all those things about me?”

“Are you that curious?”

‘Is it because I’m fascinated about your laid-back attitude as you asked me with a faint smile on your face?’ Karl, who would normally ignore those gestures, nodded his head without hesitation.

Eisel smiled deeply at Karl’s immediate response, then she lowered her bag and opened her fingers.

“At that time you are still a coward.”

“What, when did that…..”

“Besides, you were crying at that time. And His Excellency grabbed my hand as I was about to go home and said.”

Eisel’s voice rang slowly, as if drunk from her memories. Then she came closer while smiling softly and extended her long fingers.

Karl, who had no intention of resisting even though he was aware of the hand that was approaching him, had his eyes widened when the tip of her fingers pushed his chin up.

“Later, when you grow up, you and I-”

‘I really had no intention of making such a big deal from the very beginning. I just wanted to be rich and live a little longer, but when a sudden realization came to me, I just ran out of control.’

“Let’s get married.”

Eisel smiled brightly.

-ˏˋ ━━━━━━ ʚɞ ━━━━━━ ˊˎ-

(Eisel’s 3rd PERSON POV)

“I’m sorry I didn’t prepare anything today.”

‘Three plates were placed on the old wooden table, which was too difficult to put on a tablecloth. While the food was too watery to be called a soup, the color itself was too dark to be called a water. Still, when I placed my nose into it, it smelled quite plausible and had a tinge of corn into it although the taste was close to water.’

A silver-haired woman who wiped the only three spoons in a cloth and placed it on the table. Lily Aspenser let out a small sigh. The man who was sitting on the other side with his long hair hanging down. It was Beorick, Lily’s husband. He impressive glasses that are larger than the size of an egg.

“What do you mean that you didn’t prepare anything? It’s better than any other feast for me. I’ll eat it with gusto madame.”

With a soft voice befitting his appearance, Beorick, while holding a spoon, kissed Lily’s cheek and glanced at the little girl who looked at him with a smirk.

“Let’s eat, Eisel.”

Beorick and Lily’s daughter, Eisel. She, who was about to celebrate her eighth birthday, answered with a bright smile at Beorick and then raised her spoon.

“I will eat well!”

Unlike the dark dining table where one candle was lit because there was not enough money to buy oil, Eisel’s voice was bright and clear. After kissing her daughter’s head, Lily went back to her seat and slowly picked up the porridge near the water.

‘We’re terribly poor.’

Eisel shoved the porridge into her mouth and sighed inwardly. ‘How did this ever happen? Growing up as an orphan, then reborn again this time as a daughter of an aristocratic family, out of the days of eating rice only, I was so delighted by the fact that I had become a daughter of a golden spoon, which I had dreamed of.’

‘Finally, the time has come for me too!’

[The adoptive parents who raised me for 20 years vs the birth parents of a chaebol family suddenly appeared after 20 years! Who would I choose?]

Eisel of course would choose her birth parents of a chaebol family if people would discuss this topic.

‘Although I am grateful to my adoptive parents who raised me for 20 years, it was thanks to them that from a young age, I learned the fact that money is everything in this world and without money, happiness cannot be found. They taught me that simple truth.’

She was adopted because they had no children at that time, but then Eisel was treated poorly because twins were born from her adoptive parents later on. As soon as she became an adult, she chose to leave their home and when she came out of the world without money, that’s when she realized that she had to work hard.

When Eisel was born again, she couldn’t help herself but be happy about it and understand the word ‘Reincarnation’ and plan up her life for this second life that she had.

‘I am now a daughter of an aristocratic family? And also the eldest daughter? That means I would live my life without worrying about food, clothes or even monthly rent!’

‘I didn’t know where this was or what world it was, but it didn’t matter.’

‘It’s actually perfect!’

‘Cause now I’m finally! Since I became a noble woman now! But somehow, the name of the Emperor or the high-ranking nobles and even the name of this country were somewhat familia, but it didn’t really matter.’

‘Whether it’s a novel, a manhwa, or even the past? The important thing for me is that I became a rich noble woman.’

However, everything did not come so easy.

‘…… We….We are bankrupt.’

One day, five businesses run by the Aspenser family went bankrupt and the land was secured by debt. Eisel, who was still three years old, only blended with the background, not knowing what was going on. When she finally came to her senses, she saw a lot of foreclosure tickets stuck to their four-storey house.

‘No, this can’t be true, any noble family couldn’t be this ruined. Can they really put in a foreclosure ticket just because they go bankrupt? Isn’t this a medieval society? Even if a rich family becomes doomed, it will go on for like, three generations. How come it happened for a fast three days?’

Easel stared blankly at her fallen family, and in the end all that was left was just a four-storey mansion that could neither be sold nor left and since no one is managing it, the mansion became won-out like this.

‘If they’re going to take everything, they should have taken this mansion too. But then why didn’t they?’

Eisel thought that everything would be resolved if they sold the mansion, unfortunately, this mansion was owned by the Imperial family that’s why it was impossible to sell it. In other words, unless they return their noble status, the mansion belongs to them and cannot be negotiated.

‘I’m not sure If I should be happy or sad, but thanks to the grace of the royal family, we were able to stay at our mansion, while eating a watery porridge that smelled like corn.’

“Yesterday, I met Lord Whitenburg.”

“Oh my, your old friend…..”

It was Beorick’s voice that broke the rattling sound within the gloomy atmosphere during their meal time. Lily’s eyes widened in surprise at the news that was delivered by Beorick while eating a tasteless porridge.

“That’s right, he said that he came right away after hearing the news about our family. He also added that he would find ways helping me with anything.”

“That’s great. But…..”

Lily, who was delighted as she clasped her palms, immediately changed her expression and narrowed her eyes. Her smiling face changed to a worried expression.

“You’re not thinking of getting into a strange business again, aren’t you?”

“It’s not like that? We just had a normal conversation.”

“Really?”

“I’m telling the truth. Trust me, madame.”

Lily, unable to easily trust Beorick since he already had a criminal record, looked at him coldly. Beorick just smiled awkwardly without saying anything.

·  · ୨୧ ·  ·

(3RD PERSON POV)

Eisel sighed deeply, taking turns to glancing at the two people continuously staring at each other intensely.

‘Is he going to start again?’

In fact, it wasn’t Beorick’s fault that the Aspenser family’s business went bankrupt. The source of trouble was a bill that was created by Beoricks’s father, the former Viscount of Aspenser, who excessively expanded his business. When Beorick took over, it was already difficult to handle. Although Beorick tried to protect the crumbling sand castle, he eventually had to kneel in front of the accumulating debt.

However, the problem followed and Beorick was deceived by a friend and lost all the remaining money they had to revive the family while doing business.

“….. Okay, I’ll believe you. There’s nothing to rip off anyway.”

“Haha, that’s really lucky of us, isn’t it….”

“Father.”

‘What are you saying?’ Before Lily’s eyes darkened again, Eisel immediately called Beorick’s attention. Looking at Eisel with a smile, he quickly closed his mouth as if he realized what he just said.

Lily sighed briefly as she looked at Beorick, who just regained himself.

“You’re a good person, but trusting people too easily is a problem. It’s not a bad thing to trust other people if you have some spare time and money to lose, but now we….”

“I understand….”

“If it’s only us, it’s okay to eat this thin porridge for the rest of our life, but we now have Eisel. She’s mostly starving and it affects her growth….”

“Huh?”

Lilly, who continued to speak with a deep sigh, pointed to Eisel. She was worried about their daughter who was eating the tasteless, thin soup, but Eisel had already scraped the thin soup up to the bottom, even when she didn’t even want to eat it like that.

“…….”

“…….”

Beorick and Lily immediately shut their mouths as if at a loss for words when they saw Eisel staring at them with an empty plate. Should they be happy with it or not? It’s nice that she was able to eat that tasteless soup with gusto, but it was another story if it’s not good for her health.

As the two of them closed their mouths with complicated emotions, Eisel tilted her head, as if wondering why.

‘Is there a problem? Should I not be finishing the soup?’

Actually, from Eisel’s point of view, eating a thin soup wasn’t really that bad. At least she didn’t have to worry about what to eat. Moreover, considering the days of starvation due to lack of money, it was not an intolerable meal.

“Why?”

Eisel, asked the two people who were staring at her and smiled. Beorick slowly shook his head saying that it was nothing, and Lily sighed as she stroke Eisel’s head.

Eisel, who was pleased with her mother’s touch, smiled once again. Lily’s scary expression slowly ceased.

“Anyway, it’s time to eat well too. You know what I mean, right?

“Don’t worry, madam. After the meeting with Sir Withenburg and talking with him. The bankruptcy filing with the Imperial family will also come out next month. Then there will be a certain subsidy, so you don’t have to worry about it.”

“Did you know, there are many nobles who die of starvation while thinking complacently?”

“Of course, I understand what you mean.”

Lily took her eyes off Eisel and looked down at Beorick.

“I trust you, honey.”

Gulp-

Beorick swallowed his saliva and nodded in faith, fearing now more than anything else. Eisel, who looked at him without saying a word, sighed inwardly.

‘I need to hurry and do something.’

Eisel Aspenser reincarnated in a world filled with familiar names.

‘But seriously, where is this place anyway?’

‘In fact, I still didn’t know which novel world I was in.’

-ˏˋ ━━━━━━ ʚɞ ━━━━━━ ˊˎ-

(Eisel’s 3rd POV)

It was around the age of four when she realized that she was reincarnated inside a novel. Eisel was aware that it was a completely different world, then she started hearing familiar names and country names. That’s when she realized that this place was inside the novel that she had once read from her past life.

‘However, the problem was that I couldn’t remember which novel it was.’

‘Since I’ve read a lot of novels before.’

Eisel, who lived on her own without any family or friends, continued to attend school, while doing some part-time work, and the only hobbies that she pursued were playing games and reading novels.

In particular, for her convenience, she reads novels whenever the opportunity comes. Mostly when riding the subway or bus.

At that time, it was very enjoyable to read many novels, but now that she thinks about it, it was not a good thing.

‘As I read too much, now I can’t figure out what kind of novel, what place and worldview that I’m in. They all seemed familiar, but I have no way of knowing whether a particular person was the main character or the villain.’

Therefore, Eisel had no choice but to remember what kind of story that she’s in each and every day.

“Is there really no way?”

If only her family had the money and power, Eisel would have had the opportunity to attend different gatherings that were being attended by different nobles, while she tried to come up with a plan for her to survive in this world, but not now. Since her family was a fallen aristocrat with no money and no power. It would not be easy for her to come up with something in this kind of situation.

“Ugh- sunlight.”

Eisel sighed, she woke up in a room without any curtains to block the sunlight seeping through the windows, let alone flower pots and picture frames.

In the past, this room was filled with a colorful bed and clean furniture, but now all that she had was a desolate floor and a deep bed.

Eisel, who was sitting on her desk with nothing to do, suddenly got up when she heard a loud noise from outside.

‘Is my father leaving already?’

Eisel, who went down to the first floor, found Beorick coming out at the same time, and quickly approached her.

“Did you have a good sleep? And you woke up so early.”

“Are you leaving already?”

“Yes, I’ll need to go out for a while and come back in the afternoon. Then maybe then I can bring you some cookies today, so please look forward to it.”

“Wow, cookies?”

Eisel smiled brightly and rejoiced at Beorick’s words, but in fact, she was not particularly expecting anything, because there were far more days when he couldn’t bring a cookie after saying it a few times before, that’s why she wasn’t expecting anything.

In fact, contrary to Beorick’s knowledge, Eisel didn’t even like cookies. Beorick then patted Eisel’s head and kissed Lily on the cheeks before he turned around.

Beorkic’s shoulders were raised as he went out the door. Eisel wished that he could bring home some good news. Mostly, whenever he comes home empty-handed, his drooping shoulder looks so heavy. Eisel is sincerely hopeful now.

‘I really need to figure out what kind of plot that I’m in.’

‘If it was Korea, Bitcoin, xx Electronics stock, etc….. I had a lot to say, but it’s all useless knowledge here.‘ She needs to know what novel it is so she can move.

‘I can’t live in poverty this time.’

‘Money is the key!’

As she looked at Beorick’s disappearing back from the front door, she vowed to remember the content of this novel and hit the jackpot.

-ˏˋ ━━━━━━ ʚɞ ━━━━━━ ˊˎ-

(Eisel’s 3RD Person POV)

In the afternoon while Beorick and Lily were away from the mansion. Eisel was busily jotting down the familiar names inside her room, as she tried to revive her memories.

“What was it?”

‘I need to know what type of novel this is. Is it harem? Strong male lead? Ropan? Since I like romance novels, then it must be under that kind of genre. It’s probably not a horror story since I’m not reading it that much, right?’ Eisel struggled in the midst of organizing her thoughts in her head.

Boom boom!

At that moment. A loud violent knock on the door was heard from afar. Eisel, who was sitting at an angle on her chair, stuck her head out the window to see who would be knocking on the door of a dilapidated mansion. It was hard for her to see their faces, but she can guess that there were two men standing at the front door.

‘Are they thieves?’ It’s strange to rob a mansion in broad daylight, but… In fact, even a thief had nothing to steal here. Then, are they debt collectors? Unfortunately, there seems to be no money to repay them.’

Boom boom!

While Eisel was trying to know those men on the front door, the door rang loudly again. When she decided to just pretend that no one was home, she suddenly met the eyes of one of the visitors.

‘Oh shit!’

Eisel sighed, she got up from her seat and went down the stairs.

Bang!

In the meantime, while admiring the brief patience of the guests who were knocking on the door once more, Eisel slowly turned the doorknob.

“Who are you?”

When she raised her head the man that she thought was only two people suddenly increased to four…. Were they originally four people?

Eisel stared up at the man who was standing in front and tilted her head. Who is this? Clothes made of high-quality fabrics and arrogant eyes that say, just by looking at them, ‘I’m a nobleman’.

In addition, there’s three men at his back who whispered “That is the child” from behind him.

“Are you by any chance, Eisel Aspenser?”

“Who are you?”

“Answer the question first. Are you, Eisel Aspenser?”

Eisel, felt a little uncomfortable for their sudden question, who gave off an aristocratic vibe. She wanted to ignore them and just close the door, but then she thought that it might be a visitor from her parents.

The man muttered briefly, “Are you Eisel?”. After receiving my confirmation, he gave an instruction to his colleague in a low voice, then he handed over the papers from his arms towards Eisel.

“Even a fallen noble can read documents, right?.”

Eisel, who took the documents that was given to her, tilted her head as she read the title of the documents [Basquiella Official Letter].

‘What is this?’

The man sighed when Eisel looked at the documents and made a questionable expression.

“Ha- I can’t believe that I have to talk to a fool who doesn’t even know how to read and write. This is definitely their end.”

‘… A fool?’ Eisel suddenly raised her head at the word ‘fool’ and looked up at the man. Whether it was ridicule or contempt, he was definitely throwing an unfavorable look at her. Eisel then readied herself to confront this man who just showed an unpleasant attitude towards her.

“Mister. Are you from the Basquiella family?”

“How did you know that?”

“Well it says “Basquiella Official Letter”. That’s why I thought that you’re from Basquiella. Are you stupid?”

“What?”

Eisel frowned deeply, wondering if her answer was just unexpected or the man didn’t hear her clearly.
