"You may come in" Zayden said as Evelina was knocking the door. Without looking at her, he added "We got the project right? Give me the details"

"Sorry sir, we didn't. The Verde company got it" Evelina said hesitantly.

"Verde company? But....."

 "Sir, apperently the Verde company is now on the top in the market. It was facing downfall for a very long time until

the new CEO Verena Verde joined." Evelina said humbly.

"Very well,then get me information about the new CEO"

" I already did, sir. Verena Verde is the youngest successful business women in the whole country. She is also the top Model of Avalash. She is also highly skilled at martial arts and won 3 gold medals in sword fighting in a row. It is said that anything she does turns out to be perfect.

"Verena Verde, nah? Seems interesting. Well then we should pay a visit to miss perfect sometime soon."

"About that...... I got to know she is determined to buy the VIrgo painting of today's auction" said Evelina.

" Evelina, make preparations.I will be decorating my office room with the Virgo painting."

"30 million dollars" Verena shouted proudly as she knew the painting is hers now.  She told Eric, her assistant and

friend, " We are getting the painting. All the arrangements are done right?" He nodded. Suddently she heard a voice saying "The auction isn't over.I offer 40 million dollars."

Totally shocked she turned around to see who could be willing to go against her and I saw a man with dark violet

hairs just around her age. Eric then slightly touched my arm and asked "What do you want to do now? We had already long exceeded our budget. Do you still want to buy THAT painting?"

 "No, I will give this up to him for this time" she sighed. As the auction was over and Verena and Eric were about

to leave she noticed that man was grinning at her. She glared back him angrily and left.

"Verena, your phone is ringing. Its your dad"

 " Oh thank you Eric." She said smiling at him.  And picked up the call.

"Verena, get something nice to wear. You will be having a marriage interview tonight at

7 pm at the Royal dine. Don't be late" her father said.

"But so suddenly? You didn't tell me anything of it before."

 " Now that you know be on time." Her father order. Having no other option she told Eric to get her home right away.

As she went to her reserved table in Royal dine her eyes widened. " You??!!!!" A

certain redhead  girl and violet headed boy shouted together.

"You would be marrying this young man" Verena's father said.

"But I don't want to, dad. I don't like him"

"Look young lady he is one of the most successful business man. Well educated, humble

and very smart and unlike you he has cool nerves which is very much essential."  Said Verena's father.

"But....."  Verena tried to protest and her father just glared at her so she didn't dare to say anything else.

" But you can't force it on us. We are adults. We can marry anyone we want" Zayden said calmly.

"Well then we won't force you. But first you have to stay under the same roof for a

month. Then if you want to call off the marriage we will allow you to." Said Zayden's father.

"Why should I be living with an unknown boy out of blue? I don't want that

either" Verena yelled.

  "If you don't agree to live together you will be forced to withdraw your position from the company. I will handover the company to Charla. And as you already know she doesn't want that. She wants to be a photographer. Do you still refuse?" Verena's father said.

"Same goes for you my boy." Said Zayden's dad.

"But you just can't force me out. I established the whole company on my own"

said Zayden.

"You very well know what I can do. It's decided already.I don't want anymore argument. And please believe in us. We are doing all this for your own good.

Here take the apartment  key and the address. You will be living together from today. You have all your things

shifted there." said Zayden's dad.

Verena and Zayden sighed and they left for their new destination uttering no other words.

That's how their cold war begin.

The apartment was well designed, modern and cozy. All things were arranged nicely.

But Verena was pissed knowing she got to stay with a jerk. This thought was freaking her out but Zayden seemed to be normal as if they have been living together for years.  At the very least Verena was thankful that they have separate rooms. But she have to share everything else. She doesn’t mind sharing but his very existence bothered her. She sighed.

*Ring ring*

Verena looked at her phone and saw it was her mother calling.

Verena: What's up mom?

Eiliyah: We are just doing fine how are you? Do you like your new home? It must be really nice to...

Verena: Mom you seem to be too excited. There is nothing to be happy about.

Eiliyah:  What are you saying dear? My girl is finally going to be a woman. The thought of  living together with the most successful business man, moreover handsome  before marriage it gives me a thrill. I am so envious. Your sister, Charla also liked his brother in law. We miss you already. We should come by sometime soon.

Verena: Mom please spare me with your jokes.

Eiliyah:  Who said I am joking? I am serious. I couldn't be happier knowing we found the perfect man for you. You will be living with him and working with him. You got 24/7 to stay together. I know you have separate rooms but I specially got you double bed so that you can enjoy your special moments.

Verena: Mom. Quite it. Wait what did you say? Work with him?

Eiliyah:  Didn't you know? From now on you would be working with him as business partners on the recent project you got.

Oh another thing you should be learning household chores. You are not allowed to have any maids. It will be just the two of you.

Verena: Say what!

Eiliyah: Calm down dear. Think of all the fun you are going to have.

Oh dear I got some work to do. Talk to you later. Take care. And ENJOY YOUR SWEET TIME~~~

Verena : Wait mom...... *Beep beep*

Verena saw Zayden sitting on the couch. she walked to him and said "We will be business partners from tomorrow. "

"I already know that" he said.

"Listen we might be living together. But we are NOT friends. Don't you even think to trying anything funny."

He chuckled and said " Like I am interested in you?"

Verena felt her blood boilig at his attitude.

"WHAT ARE YOU?A GAY?"

Before she could understand what's happening he had her pinned with the wall and said

"So, you want me to be interested in you?" He  smirked.

 She was taken off guard so she couldn't manage to say anything properly and started stuttering."wh..what..ar.."

He let her hands go, giggled and left the room.

“Just wait......I  will pay you back for this. As mom said I will be having  fun.”

Verena thought to herself.

It was late and Zayden decided to brush his teeth and be off to bed.

“That girl might be pretty but she is nothing but a hot headed kid. “ Zayden thought and

sighed. As he went to the basin his eyes widened. He picked up his phone and called Evelina.

"Eve, I know it's late, but  I need you to get me a tooth brush right now. SOMEONE used my

toothbrush to MOB THE FLOOR."

*Giggle* "Sure sir"

"I will sue you if you dare to laugh. And fetch me something I can have for breakfast if you can but it's okay if you can't. I will be eating in the canteen then."

"It's no trouble at all, sir. I am coming right away."

*Beep beep*

“It's gonna be a long month.........”

Verena rushed to her office since she was already late. She saw Eric standing in front of the office.

"What's the matter Eric? Why are you standing here?

"Well, I was waiting for you. You never picked the phone so I couldn't inform you that you are to work in Mr.Zayden's office for this month." Eric said a little annoyed.

"Yes, of course! The only thing that remained. Couldn’t be any better." She said sarcastically.

Time skip______

Zayden was done with his office woks. He looked at Verena’s desk and thought “The redhead is still working. She is hard worker I must admit. Should I wait for her or go ahead? Maybe if I wait she will be annoyed. Moreover, I have a very important work to do at home. She owes me a gift.”

As Verena entered the house  she saw Zayden sitting on the couch scanning some old magazines.

 'Welcome home. I already took shower. You can go and take a bath if you want." He said.

"Isn't he being too much of a gentleman? Or was he always like this ?" She thought. But said nothing since she actually needed a bath.

 "Aahhh....."

 Zayden heard a scream but he didn't bother to get up. Then he heard footsteps and could tell Verena is rushing there.

He looked up for a moment and then looked back to his magazine. She was only wrapped in a towel.

"You turned off the heater? The water is freezing." She complained.

"I don't know a thing about it," He smirked.

She gave him a glare and was about to left the room.

"You are quite sexy. I will give you that much" He grinned.

She looked at him annoyed. He didn't even bother to look up again.

“ I hate him. I know it was him.

Okay, if you wanna play. So be it. You will be regretting it, Zayden Fedrick.” She told

herself.

The next day, as Veena entered the house she saw the whole house was a mess just as if a tornado greeted its presence. She  wondered what that doofus was searching for. And why the hell her room was messed up too? But she could at least say that he touched nothing of hers because all that was scattered is his clothing a few shattered papers and some other thing, all those disgusted her and so got to clean up. She let out a sigh.

“But don't think you will go by unpunished Fedrick.”

As Zayden entered the house found everything to be neat and clean. But he knew he left the house in a complete messed up way.

“ Verena must have cleaned it all. I just have to apologize and thank her.”

 He took a small step towards her and said "I am really sorry for messing up the house.  Actually, I had something really important to search for. I couldn't find it elsewhere so I messed up your room too. But I swear I did nothing funny. And I didn't touch any of your belongings. And thank you for cleaning up the house."

"You think just a sorry and thanks is gonna repay all the mess you did?"

"Well I know it's not."

“Maybe she will forgive me if I say that I was searching for the watch mom gave me before passing away.” He thought. But he didn't feel like telling her. He  only talsk about his mother with people close to him.

"Do whatever you like. I already told you I was searching for a very important thing. So it's up to you if you forgive me or not." He said while leaving the room.

“What's with this attitude of him? I so hate him even more now. So what I did wasn't wrong at all.” She convinced herself.

As Zayden entered his room he saw some really cute dolls, card, baskets all made of cloth. They were all pretty but something seems familiar about them. He  could only realize what it was after he opened his wardrobe to find clothes for changing.

“SHE MADE ALL THOSE PRETTY THINGS OUT OF My clothing????”

He  wasn't bothered because she cut all his clothes but because she took actions even before knowing anything. It's obvious that she would be angry but still, she could have asked for a reason before taking revenge on him.

Next day

Verena had to get home soon. She was  already late for the party.

“WHAT! ALL GONE?”

 She could find nothing in her closet.

She went to Zayden with a stern face and asked: "where are my dresses?"

"Oh, you know a famine hit by the north avalash so a charity committee came asking for spare clothings. I had nothing of mine to give them as I am not done buying clothes yet. So I gave what I could find in your closet." He said

with a grin.

“WHAT? YOU GAVE OUT ALL MY PARTY DRESSES. EVEN AFTER KNOWING I HAVE A PARTY TO ATTEND?”

She yelled at him

"Oh, Were they your party clothings? I am sorry I didn't know.Those didn't looked like party wears to me. they looked cheap." He grinned.

She let out a sigh knowing she have no time to argue with him. So  she called Eric and told him to buy her

something suitable for the party.
