Taming Master

Chapter 1: < (1). Grand Update -1>

“Ha…. Why is my schedule so wretched?”

Jinsung sighed as he looked at his timetable on the phone.

He had two classes today.

One of them, Understanding Virtual Reality, had just finished. The real problem was that he had to

wait for three hours for the next class.

As he shook his head while sitting in the study room, someone scolded him from behind.

“Your schedule is so tragic because you have registered for your courses without thinking.”

It was Han Yuhyeon, Jinsung’s best friend, who studied the same major.

Normally Jinsung would have said something, but today, he didn’t have the strength.

Jinsung reclined his chair and lay on his back. Yuhyeon smiled at this and looked back at his laptop.

In fact, Yuhyeon was in the same situation. He was also trying to kill some time while waiting for the

next class.

“Hmm…”

As Yuhyeon focused on his laptop, the study room became quiet: they were the only people in it.

However, after a while, Yuhyeon’s excited voice woke up Jinsung who had been dozing off.

“Hey, Jinsung, wake up!”

“What? Dude, I’m sleepy. Don’t bother me.”

“You will regret that. There’s news about a big update for Kailan on the main page of LBsoft. Do you

really not want to see it?”

As soon as he finished talking, Jinsung, who had been leaning back on his chair with his eyes closed,

instinctively stood up and sat beside Yuhyeon.

“Really? Was the news supposed to come out today?”

“Yes, man. That’s why I’ve been monitoring it all this time.”

The two men started to read about the update, focusing so hard that they could have been sucked

into the monitor at any moment.

“Hey, this is great! We are going to have three more new classes.”

“Yeah, for real! New areas are also going to be opened…”

“Don’t you think the Assassin looks really cool? It is irresistible. Dark Sorcerer looks cool as well…

and maybe, the Summoner could take dragons as pets?”

Yuhyeon sounded a little too excited, Jinsung smiled and answered, “Hey, give up. What good are the

new classes for us? They are only for new users starting the game now. I am currently over Lv. 90…

you are over Lv. 80 as well. Do you really want to reset your character?”

In the virtual reality game Kailan, there was no way to create a sub account. Once you made your

character with an iris scan, you would not be able to create another character.

Additionally, you cannot change your class after deciding on one. So, resetting the character was the

only way for a user to choose a new class.

However, the two had already come too far to reset their characters.

“Huh, right. We should visit the new areas as soon as the update ends. We could potentially get our

hands on some new powerful item. It might even be enough to pay off our tuitions for an entire

semester.”

Jinsung could not help but laugh at this. However, he was excited as well.

The update would take place exactly a week later, on the 20 th of June.

That was not the best date.

It was three days before Jinsung’s final test.

‘Uh! That Basic of Game Theory. It was annoying enough that I had to spend three hours every

Friday, and its test is at the very end.’

Then, Jinsung’s eyes sparkled.

“Wait!”

Jinsung turned his head and stared at Yuhyeon who was still reading about the update.

“Hey, Hyeon.”

“Yeah?”

“Why don’t we skip the Basic of Game Theory class?”

“What?!”

Yuheon’s eyes shook a little.

“Why are you so surprised? We’ve done this before!”

“You even ask me why? We will definitely fail this course if we skip a class again, dude. We already

missed two classes.”

Jinsung’s lips curled up at this.

“Hyeon, look. What does it say?”

Yuhyeon looked at the monitor Jinsung was pointing at.

“What, this? The opening date?”

“Yeah. June 20 th . You see it?”

“I do.”

“When is the Basic of Game Theory test?”

Yuhyeon scratched his head. He couldn’t remember.

“When is it?”

“June 23 rd .”

“We take the test that late? I thought the update would be during my summer vacation.”

“You are so hopeless… can’t you see what we should do at this point?”

Yuhyeon started to seriously consider Jinsung’s words. When he reached the conclusion, his eyes

slightly shook.

“Skip… the class?”

Jinsung’s eyes met Yuhyeon’s as he gave him a thumbs up and got up.

“Perfect! You always understand quickly.”

Yuhyeon shook his head at this.

However, he was already packing his stuff as well. He closed his eyes and tried to justify himself. ‘I

am only in the first year of my first semester. If I don’t do this now, when will I be able to do it?’

As he packed, he heard Jinsung talking as he left the room.

“Don’t look for me today! I will go to the Clik Mountain and play solo.”

Jinsung run away from the campus as if he was being pursued by some monster. He went straight

home and immediately took a shower.

He wanted to sit in the capsule right away, but even a game addict like Jinsung didn’t want to enter an

enclosed space in summer drenched in sweat. He would not get out from the capsule for at least 10

hours once he entered.

“Ha! Dropping the course was an excellent choice. I should have done that quicker.”

Jinsung lived alone in a studio near the back gate of his university. It was too large and luxurious for a

student to afford.

Jinsung didn’t live there because his family was rich. The truth was that his parents lived in the

countryside and didn’t give him a penny.

However, Jinsung could live in better places compared to most university students. He made use of

the money he earned in Kailan.

Jinsung was very talented at virtual reality games.

As soon as he got admitted to a university, his parents told him that they had done their parts. They

gave him 5,000,000 won for tuition and leased a shabby room for him and then, they moved to the

countryside.

However, Jinsung decided to not use that money to pay for his tuition. Instead, he deposited the

money in a bank and got a student loan to pay for the tuition. Then, he started to work part-time in

January.

All of this was done to buy a game capsule for Kailan. Its price was 10,000,000 won.

As soon as the semester started, Jinsung had gathered enough money to buy a capsule by using the

5,000,000 won from his parents, the money he earned from his job and all the saving he previously

accumulated to buy the capsule. All of this happened within two months of Kailan’s opening.

Yuhyeon, who had watched the whole process, called Jinsung’s efforts of buying the capsule ‘the

victory of mankind’.

Even though Jinsung started to play two months later, his passion and talent for the game were

outstanding. In fact, just after playing for two months, he was able to catch up to Yuheon’s level who

had started to play as soon as the game opened. Currently, in the fourth month of the game, Jinsung

was one of the top 1000 players in Korea.

Kailan nearly monopolized the entire game market. In fact, the number of players present online had

long surpassed the ten million.

Additionally, Korea was a well-known country famous for having great players, so, being one of the

top 1000 players was quite an achievement.

The fact that he had earned tens of millions of won with Kailan in just 4 months was enough to show

off his skills.

Finally, having finished his shower, Jinsung sat inside the game capsule.

“Let’s do this until the weekend!”

– Iris scanning complete. Ian, welcome to the world of Kailan.

With this system message, Jinsung closed his eyes.

Chapter 2: <(1). Grand Update -2>

Piiiing-!

With a sharp sound, a blue light pierced through the air.

Thuk-.

Kaaaaa-!

An Ogre could not help but scream and fall as an arrow full of a cold air hit him directly in the

forehead.

Kung-!

– You have killed an Ogre. You gained 5,910 Experience Points.

Jinsung, no, Ian caught his breath as he slowly approached the dead body.

“Good, now I am getting fast enough.”

He put his hand on the body which then turned into a grey light and vanished.

– You have obtained 745 Gold from the Ogre.

– You have obtained [Ogre’s Tough Leather].

After checking the system message, he opened his inventory.

“As soon as I make 100,000 Gold, I’ll get some rest.”

The Clik Mountain, the place where Ian was hunting, was full of Ogres. Hence, the users nicknamed

the place Ogre’s Farm.

The average level of Ogres was about 80. Looking at Ian’s level, who was at Lv. 93, others may think

that he would find it easy, unfortunately, that would have been the case only if he was hunting in a

party. If you were to play solo in the Clik Mountain, even a high-level player would have trouble. This

was because compared to the other monsters of the same level, Ogres had much greater stamina

and destructive power.

Actually, if you wanted to raise your level, it would be far more efficient to gather a party and go to a

high-level hunting ground. However, there was a particular reason why Ian decided to play solo in the

Clik Mountain. In fact, it was the best place for him to make Gold.

Kailan had his own system to make money. In fact, people could buy the Gold in the game using real

money and, at the same time, the Gold could be used to buy real money. This system was very

similar to the one used in real banks, hence, it could be considered that the money that you make in

Kailard are just as valuable as real money.

Now, according to Kailan’s money exchange system, the exchange rate of Gold and real money was

at about 1:2. Considering that an Ogre gave him about 800 Gold, he could make a total of 1,600 Won

with each Ogre.

In an hour, Ian could hunt at least 100 Ogres. So, he was practically doing a part-time job that paid

him about 200,000 Won per hour.

Even after buying the capsule, he had to work hard to earn money as he had to pay back the student

loan he took. So, this became a habit of his where he would spend at least an hour on earning Gold

every time he logged in.

“Let’s move again…”

After finding that there was no Ogre left in the area, he started to move somewhere else.

Ian was excited as he could feel the speed of his hunting getting faster thanks to the Dark Composite

Bow, which he had gotten during the Drake Raid, last week.

[Ian]

Lv. 93: 79,954,300 / 98,500,000 (81.2%)

Race: Human

Class: Archer (Skilled Great Archer)

Title: Drake Hunter

Reputation: 158,920 (If reputation drops below 0, it becomes Evil Fame.)

Strength: 150(+75)

Speed: 275(+305)

Intelligence: 75(+25)

Stamina: 105(+137)

Health: 12,420(+5,600)

Magic: 3,725(+2,215)

Ian checked his statistics window and shook his head.

“Huh, I have killed countless Ogres since last week, but it only went up by 6%.”

He was talking about EP (Experience Points). After Lv. 90, going up by each level required a huge

amount of efforts.

“Well, I am not hunting them to increase my level, but this is too stingy.” Ian complained. Then he

started to look for monsters around him using Hawk Eye, a special skill of the archer.

A moment later, Ian’s eyes brightened.

“What!? Since when we have a Hero Rank monster on Clik Mountain apart from the Ogre King?”

By using Hawk Eye, he could only check the location and the rank of the monsters within a certain

range. If he wanted to know which monster it was, he had to go and check personally.

‘A Hero Rank monster can be slightly dangerous for me…’

The Ogre King, which was known as the only Hero Class monster of Clik Mountain, was at Lv. 95. Of

course, Ian had hunted it in the past. However, he was never alone.

‘What should I do?’

Ian was carefully thinking about it. After all, it was a rare occasion to find a Hero Rank monster,

except for field bosses that would appear on their designated spots. It was almost guaranteed that a

Hero Rank monster that appeared randomly in the field had a higher chance of dropping something

good.

“Let’s go!”

If he were to be killed, the EP he needed to level-up would be reset and a week’s effort would be

wasted. However, it wasn’t his style to give up a good chance.

Ian made sure that all his skills were ready to be used and the cooldown time was over. He then

slowly moved towards the Hero Rank monster.

A moment later, Ian found the monster. It was a Twin-Headed Ogre which was three times bigger than

an ordinary Ogre.

“What! I’ve never seen anything like this!”

Looking at the rare monster that he had never seen or heard of, Ian’s fighting was ignited.

Then, he calmly took out a few traps and carefully put them on a few ideal spots. After all, they were

expensive expendable items which he had bought to hunt Hero Rank monsters.

‘I never thought I would be using them so quickly.’

He knew that the item had been bought to be used, yet, he couldn’t help but feel a little sad. They

were top rank traps, they costed 50,000 Gold each.

“Well. It would all be worth it if I could get my hands on even a single piece of the Ogre Warrior Set…”

The cheapest piece of the Ogre Warrior Set, the shoes, were sold at 1,300,000 Gold. Hence, if he

could get even a piece of the set, that would be helpful.

Once, Ian finished planning, he took out his bow and aimed at the Ogre’s head.

– [Aiming Weak Spot] skill activated. Target’s weak spots are shown. Accuracy rate is raised by 40%,

fatal blow rate is raised by 37%. 255% of additional damage when attacking weak spots.

– [Lethal Poison] skill activated. Movement of the target is slowed by 10% when hitting the mark, and

HP is consistently decreased.

-Piiiing!

The arrow left Ian’s hand. It hit the Ogre’s forehead. The Twin-Headed Ogre wailed in rage and when

he spotted Ian, it started to run toward him.

Kuaaa-!

Ian’s eyes slightly widened by seeing the monster moving so fast despite its enormous size.

“It certainly is different from ordinary Ogres. It’s very fast!”

Even the Ogre King was very slow. It was probably part of the nature of Ogres. However, its stamina

and attack force was greater than other Ogres since it was a Hero Rank monster.

Ian had assumed that the Twin-Headed Ogre would be slow as well, hence, he was slightly confused.

Ian used the Continuous Shooting skill to quickly shoot arrows and drag the Ogre toward his trap.

Kung-. Kung-. Kung-.

As the poison kept adding some damage to the Ogre, its face started to get slightly distorted.

Tatat-!

Finally, Ian lured the Ogre near the trap. So, he nimbly climbed a tree and drew his bow again.

– [Exploding Arrow] skill activated. The arrow explodes 1 second after hitting the target. Additional

damage of 300% of the attack force.

The arrow hit the Ogre’s weak spot, which was highlighted in red by the Aiming Weak Spot skill. Even

though the accuracy rate was mainly defined by the class characteristic of the archer and his skills,

however, Ian’s archery skills were already great on their own.

Kuaang-!

The arrow embedded in the Ogre’s chest exploded. The monster flinched for a moment.

The arrow’s damage had been increased by a total of 20 times: it was a deadly blow, Aiming Weak

Spot skill had been used and the damage had been amplified because of the explosion. Even a Hero

Rank monster would have gotten severe damage.

However, that lasted only for a while. The Ogre quickly ran and approached Ian. Its frighteningly large

club came down at Ian.

Kwang-!

With large sound, the tree Ian had been sitting on collapsed.

Luckily, Ian had already left the tree.

Looking at the force of the Ogre’s wooden club, cold sweat broke out from his back

“Maybe just one blow is enough to kill me…”

Ian swallowed hard. He needed to be a little more careful.

While Ian was rolling on the ground to avoid the Ogre’s attack, it finally stepped on Ian’s first trap.

Snap-!

With a thick sound of metal crushing the Ogre started to wail.

– High Rank slowdown trap activated. The speed of the target has been decreased by 30% for 10

minutes.

Combined with the effect of the Lethal Poison arrow, 40% of slowdown was applied. The Ogre was

clearly slower now. Ian then drew his bow again.

– [Swiftness] skill activated. All movements get 50% quicker for 15 minutes.

Piiiing-. Ping-. Ping-.

With fast movement refined by the Swiftness skill, Ian fired three arrows consecutively. He then

started to run. The Ogre had reached him again.

“Hu…”

Ian breathed heavily and continued to torment the Ogre from a distance.

It looked like Ian was easily playing with the Ogre, however, that was not the case.

Ian’s fight with the Twin-Headed Ogre was almost as dangerous as walking on a rope. A single

mistake would mean death…

The truth was that the Archer, along with the Sorcerer, was known as a class hard to play solo. This is

because an archer would be powerless in close-range battles.

Chasing it and being chased by it, this was how Ian was fighting the Ogre for a while until a system

message appeared in front of his eyes.

– 1 minute left of [Swiftness] skill duration time.

“Kmm…”, Ian moaned.

It would be hard to fight after the skill’s duration time ended. He had to finish the fight in 1 minute.

“There’s only one trap left. The knock-off trap…”

Ian started to plan. He quickly decided and jumped to make the final move.

“Over here, you nasty monster!”

Ian provoked the Ogre and repeatedly shoot arrows. The Ogre was now free from the slowdown

effect, so it fiercely charged towards him.

Then…

Snap-!

The last trap was activated.

– High Rank knock-off trap activated. The target falls unconscious for 5 seconds and becomes

defenseless.

The moment the trap was activated, Ian knelt on one knee and got ready.

The Ogre was unconscious and standing in an awkward position, in the meantime, Ian was aiming at

the Ogre’s weak spot that glowed red.

– [Fatal Blow Reinforcement] skill activated. Damage is increased by 300% when hitting as fatal blow.

– [Shooting] skill activated. You cannot move for 10 seconds. Attack force is increased by 400%.

– [Concentration] skill activated. Attack force is increased in proportional to the time you concentrate

on your target with your bow drawn (maximum increase rate: 500%)

Ian used all the reinforcement and buff skills he had.

“Everything is depending on this one blow!”

He was certain that the arrow would bring the Ogre down if it penetrated its weak spot.

Or at least it would be in a critical condition.

Ian had used the Shooting skill. There was no turning back now.

If he failed to hit the target and the Ogre regains its consciousness with HP left, Ian would be killed

because he would not be able to run for 5 seconds.

Ian counted the seconds to bring the efficiency of the Concentration skill to its maximum efficiency. He

then let go.

Wooosh-!

The sound pierced through the air, and the Ogre’s knock-off effect ended.

However, before it could move, Ian’s arrow was already right in front of its heart.

Thunk-!

The arrow with Ian’s desperate power embedded itself in the Ogre’s weak spot and two more of his

attacks followed which hit the same spot.

-Kung-!

The huge body fell and shook the ground. A refreshing system message came up.

-You killed the Twin-Headed Ogre. You gained 98,500 EP.

“Huu, hu…”

After fighting for 30 minutes, Ian had finally killed the Ogre. He was breathing heavily as he was tired

after running around for half an hour.

“Now, let’s check what items it dropped…”

He was even more nervous than the moment when he fired the fatal arrow.

Ian then put his hand on the Ogre’s dead body.

Chapter 3: <(1). Grand Update -3>

-You have obtained 9,845 Gold from the Hero Rank monster Twin Headed Ogre.

-You have obtained [Ogre’s Warrior Pauldron]

-You have obtained [Ogre’s Warrior Shoes]

-You have obtained [Crystal of Muran]

While checking the items he gained, Ian could not even close his mouth: “Two parts of the Ogre’s

Warrior set! Did I just use all of this month’s fortune?”

The pieces of the Ogre’s Warrior set were rare items that were dropped about once when you caught

the Ogre King ten times.

If he were to sell the shoes and the pauldron…

“Hhhaaa!”

Ian could not help but burst into a laughter: he had just earned at least 5,000,000 Won in about 30

minutes. He could only keep laughing.

“But, what is the Crystal of Muran?”

Ian was very knowledgeable when it comes to items, however, he had never heard about it.

He decided to use an Appraisal Scroll right away.

[Crystal of Muran]

A crystal with brilliant and colorful lights.

Take it to a class-changer NPC where you will get a special quest to get a class. This item can only be

used by a beginner who hasn’t decided which class to get.

– This item cannot be traded

Ian checked the information about the item and froze.

And a moment later…

“What the-!”

Some harsh words came out of his mouth.

“Why have I received this now? Uaaak!”

Ian screamed to the air.

An item through which he could certainly get a hidden class was dropped.

There was almost no information about hidden jobs in the community. That just shows their rarity.

It was a great item… however, it was not very useful to the current Ian.

Ian’s level was already quite high, enough for him to be on the list of top Korean players. Considering

that only a beginner at level 10 or below would get a class, it would be strange if he didn’t curse.

‘I can’t even trade this item, otherwise, I would be able to sell this at any price…’

Ian started to feel dizzy.

‘Ah… God, why are you giving me so many hardships?’

As mentioned before, you would not be able to create sub characters in Kailan. The only way for Ian

to use the Crystal of Muran was to reset his character.

“Ha, I should take a break now.” Ian then took out a Return Scroll from his bag.

‘I should sell the Ogre’s Warrior set first and think about the crystal later’

Ian’s body was wrapped by a white light and dissolved.

“Now, is everyone here?”

A night user with a white full plate mail looked around to check.

He was Han Yuhyeon, Ian’s best friend and the guild master of Lotus Guild. His Kailan ID was Herss.

“Yes, we’re all here.”

“Then shall we go?”

“Herss.” A cute female player with a blue robe called Yuhyeon.

“Yes, Piolan.”

“Is Ian not coming today? I think he has logged in by now.”

At this question, all the party members looked at Herss.

“Ah, he is doing solo play today. He is probably at the Clik Mountain now.”

“Clik Mountain? Isn’t that place full of Ogres?”

“Yes.”

“What kind of Archer plays solo against the Ogres? I know that Ian is great, but…”

Herss could only shake his head, “He can take care of himself, so… let him do that.”

“I meant that it would have been better for us to go with him. Having Ian in the party would let us hunt

twice as fast than usual…” A warrior who had been listening nodded and added.

Right. Ian is definitely the best attacker when it comes to single hits.”

The party of Lotus Guild had been formed for entering a dungeon. Its average level was 80. With Ian’s

level who was at 93 and considering that his attacks are greater than any other Lv.93s, he would be a

great addition to the party, so everyone was sad that he wasn’t here.

“Ah, I won’t be able to benefit from him today. Well, there’s nothing we can do about it.” Yuhyeon, no,

Herss smiled bitterly and spoke.

“But today we are entering the Naga Temple. So, it won’t be that hard even without Ian. If you are all

ready, shall we go in?”

The average level of monsters in the Naga Temple was in the 80s and the monsters didn’t move in

packs. So, it would be a suitable hunting ground for the members of the Lotus Guild.

“I am ready!”

“Me too!”

The moment Herss put his hand on the stone tablet, at the entrance of the dungeon, he got a

message from a familiar ID.

– Ian: Hey, are you in a dungeon? Call me when you’re done. I’ve got something to show you.

‘What is it? I am curious now…’

Herss was incredibly curious about what Ian wanted to show him, however, he had a dungeon to

explore. So, he stepped through the entrance.

Ian put the two pieces of the Ogre’s Warrior set for auction and they were sold in less than 20

minutes.

He had 4,000,000 Gold in his inventory, however, Ian’s face was still serious.

‘Ah, this situation… the greatest dilemma in Park Jinsung’s life in Kailan.’

Ian was even more serious than when he applied for university.

‘I wish that crystal thing hadn’t come out… if I had gotten just the pieces of the Ogre’s Warrior set, I

would be laughing and enjoying it now…’

Actually, he wouldn’t have agonized that much about the Crystal of Muran if it hadn’t been for the new

update.

In fact, the two new classes that would come with the grand update was the real issue.

The hidden jobs that had been exposed so far were not new jobs. They were actually evolved forms

or different versions of already existing jobs.

‘Light Warrior’, the most well-known hidden class, would be a good example. In the system it was

shown as ‘Warrior (Light Warrior)’; this class was very similar to the Warrior class, however, it was a

lot more aggressive when attacking.

After the grand update, there would be new class changing NPCs for the new classes. So, if Ian gave

them the Crystal of Muran, he would be the first one to get to a hidden class from the new classes

released.

The words ‘first one’ were very tempting to Ian. In fact, his biggest regret was not being able to start

playing Kailan on the opening day, hence, the word ‘first’ was even more appealing to him.

‘Uh… this is too good…’

To Ian, the Crystal of Muran was like a chicken rib. It did not have enough meat; however, it was just

too good to simply throw away.

Resetting a character, would not make you lose the items and the money you already had, only the

things related to the character’s ability, like levels, titles and stats would be reset.

To sum it all up, some of Ian’s biggest worries were that the level and the abilities that he worked day

and night for four months were going to be reset.

Next, he was considering the value of the title ‘first hidden job’ and its potentials.

He was trying to compare them.

‘Resetting the character… resetting…’

However, Ian’s game instinct kept telling him to not give up the hidden class.

‘Living an ordinary life doesn’t fit with Park Jinsung. I should just do it.’

Without noticing what he was doing, Ian started to justify himself. ‘Even if I keep working as a ranger,

will I ever make it to the top of the world rankings?’

Of course, Ian’s gaming abilities were truly outstanding. That is how he made it to the top 1000 in the

Korean ranking, even though he had started two months later.

However, Ian was starting to feel that he had reached his limits.

With some luck, he might be able to become one of the top 100 of the Korean ranking, however, he

would never be able to reach the top 100 of the world ranking.

‘Okay, whether I make it or not, I am doing it!’

Ian had thought to wait until Yuhyeon got out of the dungeon to show him the crystal and talk about it,

however, he had already made his decision.

The final thing that worried him was that he would no longer be able to earn Gold and selling items

the moment he reset his character…

‘Well, I have saved enough money by now… I should have no problem for a while.’

To Ian, the time he spent playing games was not something that could be counted with money.

Then, from ‘discussion’, he went to ‘notification’

“Hey, do know what you are talking about?”

That was what Yuhyeon first said after hearing Jinsung’s explanation.

“Why, what’s the problem?”

Unlike Yuhyeon, who was dumbfounded, Jinsung looked very calm.

“What’s the problem? Don’t you think it would be a waste? Your level is 93 now. You are a top-grade

player, one of top 1000 of the Korean ranking! And you are almost in the top 100 if you were to count

only the Archers… and you are going to just blow it all away?”

Yuhyeon was yelling for a good reason. He had known that Jinsung always acted as he wanted,

however, he hadn’t even imagined that it would reach this point.

“I know. Of course, I think it would be a shame to lose all that. But this is a chance to get the first

hidden class of the new classes released. You want me to throw this away?”

Yuhyeon spoke again, trying to make Jinsung come to his senses.

“You must know some information about these hidden jobs. You know there’s a Sniper in our guild,

right?”

Sniper was a hidden class of Archer.

Jinsung nodded.

“I know. I’ve hunted with him before.”

“Did you think that the sniper is better than ordinary Archers?”

Jinsung thought about it for a moment and spoke again.

“Well… I cannot say for sure because his level was too low compared to mine but comparing it to an

Archer, there were certain pros and cons. The unbelievably long shooting range was definitely an

advantage. The damage of a single blow of his was strong as well. However, it was hard for him to fire

quickly. The greatest disadvantage was that the efficiency was too low when hunting a pack of weak

monsters.”

Yuhyeon nodded.

“Yeah, right. What I’m trying to tell you is that the hidden job would not be incredibly strong or special.”

Jinsung nodded.

“I know.”

“You know? You know that and you are still going to get rid of a Lv. 93 Archer for that? The character

that can easily earn 1,000,000 won a day by hunting at a decent spot?”

Jinsung smiled at this and asked back.

“Yuhyeon.”

“Yeah?”

“Why do you play Kailan?”

Yuhyeon was a little confused by this unexpected question, but he soon answered.

“Because it’s fun.”

Jinsung grinned.

“That’s my answer.”

“What?”

Jinsung looked at dumbfounded Yuhyeon and added.

“It looks really fun…. Do I need another reason?”
