Peace
My existence was never a wanted one.
Every person in my life always left or avoided me after they found out how fucked up I was in the head
Some even turned others against me saying I was a pervert or asshole or mistake in itself. Every offensive or insulting word was used to describe my being.
The first person I lost was my father.
He was assigned to watch three year old me as mother went to the market for groceries. He didn’t watch me and instead grabbing every thing valuable and primarily his and he ran quickly out of my life.
Punishing me with belts and paddles from as far back as my memory would allow.
I had grown up with scorns and neglect as an everyday event. Never knowing any true peace in my head or my surroundings. Until today that is…
The high school I attended was a target for an insane person and a gun. I was shot in the chest as other students scurried away with screams and yelps and pushing others out of the way to get to the entrance and exit of the worn out building.
That when I felt it. True peace.
Relief flooding every pore of my body and the loud voices that have tortured my mind for so long finally coming to a halt. There was only a slight ringing in my ears and feeling my heart and slow down as I bled out on the haunted floor of my school building. Everything I saw was red, red is my favorite color, I’m glad someone remembered. My limbs slowly started to feel numb making my body feel weightless in process. It felt good, I felt at peace.
I wanted to stay in this peace forever. I didn’t want to let it go so it soon engulfed me. The last string that held on to my miserable living snapped sending me into eternal sleep.
Pain soon returned to me and my beloved eternal sleep ended quickly, leaving me with groans of agony from the painful throbbing and stinging in my head, chest, and left leg.
My eyes resisted all attempts to open and my body creaked and waning in my effort to move them. Though I could hear distant sounds of loud conversations and clacking wood, I couldn’t hear myself though I attempted to scratch out a sound, any sound at all, none revealed itself.
A firm hand grabbed my arm pulling me up onto my feet and pulled me along, angrily grunting under its breath. My eyes still refused to open and mu legs could barely keep up with the aggressive sings of the strong being in front of me.
I was thrown to the ground. Though it wasn’t hard ground it still made my muscles and bone sing once again with excruciating pain.
A voice behind me then spoke. The voice was shrill and rusty but the word made my spine shiver with fear.
