Prologue

I knelt down and looked at my hands, seeing the blood stain on them, and I felt tears fall down my eyes and anger grow inside of me, I saw the house burning down, and I felt my heart in pain.

I pick up my mother, who is laying on the floor fighting for her life, I try to carry her on my back so that I don't lose her as well.

I look around and see that my father, brother, and sister are all gone.

Why does the Alpha have to do this? Why did he have to kill my family? My father was his trusted beta, and this is how he repays him by murdering and burning his family to death.

I later killed his father after gaining power; the man I wanted to avenge is now dead, but his son, who became the next Alpha, now wants to avenge his father's death; I'm on the run and trying to hide for my life, but I can't give up; I need to tell him the truth about why I killed his father and why he needs to be a good king.

I sat down and waited for the news with bated breath. I was so bored and didn't know what to think about so I stood up every minute and looked out the window, expecting to see if my father had arrived.

My father went to the competition in the Alpha palaces to see whether he would be selected as the palace's beta. Because I was the last kid in my family, I was treated with respect.

Soon after, I heard my father's voice coming out of the living room, so I stood up and ran down the stairs to the living room, where I saw my father conversing with my mother and ran up to him.
