PROLOGUE
A life finally going smooth
Just when the solitude feels surreal, it's then the storm knocks on the door
The storm that was entering Sabrina's life wasn't a "Life shattering" one
It was a "Life sweeping you off your feet" storm
Sabrina, being an orphan and left all alone since a kid, wanted nothing but love
Growing up she always wondered what it felt like to be loved?
However life's never been easy on her, she had her own set of emotional turmoils that she fought successfully each time
The only things she's been aware of since she was a child, was the pain of not being cared and loved
She made her heart strong and kept herself protected, reminded herself that she's okay and happy just by herself, she doesn't need anyone
Though she fantasised over her fairytale romance and about her Prince Charming, but she never got carried away and never dated anyone, cuz she knew the worst of this world and the humans
Yet how long could she go on living like this? How long could she pretend she doesn't need anyone?
Because at the end of the day, in the slightest corner of her heart, she still craved for "her man" to show up
And all her dreams came crushing down, when he showed up all of a sudden and announced her as his in front of everybody
On the other hand, Jake Armstrong, the CEO of the greatest and emerging tech companies in the world, had never felt short on love
People loved him, Women wanted him and Men envied him!
He was a walking piece of art..as quoted by people. He found that funny.
Love became an insignificant term in his life
He was a hot topic and people were undoubtedly interested in his personal life
Reporters have their own way of story telling, he was called a Playboy, some said he never does relationships and hell some even quoted he is gay!
He was neither a Playboy nor did he sleep around, as it was stated in the magazines, but he couldn't care less of what people thought of him.. that's what brought him success he says - "Not thinking of people's opinions, just do what makes you the best"
But now, things started going downhill when all this stuff was interfering his business and his company
He needed to put an end to this stupid sh*t of people, and he had to do it immediately
He needed someone to act his wife, be his wife and stay his wife!
And when his eyes laid on her, he said the exact words that came onto his mind...with that HE CLAIMED HER AS HIS IN FRONT OF EVERYBODY!

Episode 1
The sky blue curtains, blocking the sunlight from entering inside the room, swayed gently and produced soft melody
The girl reached out for the duvet and covered her cold toes that were shivering due to the december's chilly weather
A smile grew on her lips as warmth coursed through her body
"Tick..Tick"
"Tick..Tick"
Sitting on the bed, she stretched her hands and yawned
Lazily opening her eyes, she turned off the alarm and got out the bed
Her eyes landed on the incomplete painting before her, she sighed and made her way to the bathroom
After a good refreshing bath, she made herself some breakfast and coffee and walked back to her bedroom
Putting the food tray on the table, she concentrated on the painting in front of her
Sabrina...a painter and a Graffiti artist, is a 23 years old gorgeous woman
She had no one to call "her family", but she was okay might I say happy with her lifestyle, or that's what she tells herself everyday
Growing up, not for once had she received care or love from anybody
During her 18 yrs of stay at the orphanage, one thing that she learnt was "Family is everything in life, if not for them.. you'll never know the meaning of love"
Deprived of the affection and attention, she cried herself to loneliness until she had no more tears to fall
Though her heart was bleeding with ache each passing day, her mind strived to not give up, instead fought the battles everyday
Not having the courage to express herself through words, she chose art and portrayed all her emotions through her paintings
She pursued her one and only hobby and made it her career
She was satisfied to have made it so far in life, yet wasn't happy for a lot of other reasons
Since a child, reading all the fairytales, she too fantasised of her romantic tale and her Prince Charming like every other girl, but reality was a "tight slap" across her face
She knew better off to stay alone and be happy by herself, however at the end of the day, somewhere in the slightest corner of her heart, she knew she was still waiting for "someone" to show up
For "her man" to finally come into her life, and give her the love that she's dying for..but still it was just a fantasy of hers, 99% chance of her not getting it, yet here she was still breathing on the hope of that 1% chance
Nonetheless, the only thing that gave her real happiness and kept her sane was..painting
But now, it seems this thing was also giving her hard time for she wasn't getting any idea on how to complete the painting that stood before her
She had started this painting a month ago, with the dark sky above, blue sparkling waters below..the painting looked calm, it showed the gentleness and loneliness, the feeling of surrealness
But Sabrina wasn't satisfied with that, she didn't know what was missing..she hated the fact that she wasn't getting any ideas either
She felt the emptiness at the centre of the painting and couldn't quite understand on how to fill that emptiness up
She groaned looking away from the incomplete painting, and ate her breakfast with a sulking mood
Once she was done with eating, she packed her bag with all her materials and headed out the door
She had to attend the art exhibition now where she's supposed to make a painting, she was excited for today but at the same time a little sad for she could not complete her previous month long painting
Normally she would not take more than 3 weeks to complete her paintings, even the hardest ones..but this one, this one was just.. something she couldn't get her mind onto
Getting her mind off from the previous painting, she moved on with her day ahead

I hate when people have opinions on irrelevant topics, it just makes me want to rip off their heads... CAN'T THEY JUST MIND THEIR OWN BUSINESS?!
"Always being judgmental" crazy retarted society!
I just wanted to have a pleasant day today, but no... everything had to go crazy making my mind go bonkers
My assistant, Noah had just called me and informed me about how my personal life was causing a ruckus to my professional life
Apparently me not having any girl by my side, is a huge deal for a lot of people
They really are interested in my love life, well being the billionaire and a bachelor that I am, couldn't blame them on prying onto my personal life..but them just stating "I don't do relationships" or as they lovingly quoted me being "A GAY" cuz I've never shown up with a woman to any occasion..there should be a limit damn!
I literally don't care what they think or call me, but now it's affecting my reputation, my business, it's messing up with my company's profits
As they say, Firms with strong positive reputations attract better people and better deals, and considering how important a CEO's reputation is, I could not be sitting here just chilling, when people are talking sh*t about me
And I decided to put an end to this by getting a wife!
Yeah, that'd just solve everything!
I just need someone to act my wife, be my wife and stay my wife!
I may sound selfish, but I'd not treat her bad either way, she'd be given everything, the respect, the good treatment, the position of my wife, and whatever she needs
And with that, Noah had been on with the hunt for my wife. But to no avail, we're still where we started, and didn't find one suitable bride because I kept on rejecting all of them..
Not my fault to reject them, none had surpassed my expectations... "neither in personality nor in qualifications"
I was just putting on my suit when Noah entered

He forwarded the tablet to me
I read her qualifications and after a few mins I tossed the tablet onto the bed

She's an architect and is independent, also she's good looking

Got any good reason to reject her?
I glanced at Noah and smiled looking back at my wrist, fixing my watch

She's an architect, yes, but not a good one

The constructions she had done 4 years ago had collapsed badly due to the cheap brick material they used, it caused many deaths

I walked towards him and patted his cheek

Laughing I walked ahead, while Noah groaned and followed behind me
We were seated in the car when Noah tells me that we had to attend to this art exhibition for its inauguration..and I groaned internally
Of all days, it had to be today..f*ck it!

Just tell them, I'll not be coming!

I've so many things to handle at the moment
I barked at Noah, he just sighed before trying again

You said you'll be there Jake, you gave your word to them, so you can't just say no now!

All it'll take is 15 mins, okay?
I release a breath and gritted an "okay"

If it takes more than 15mins, half your salary gonna be deducted from this month!
I smirk as I say to which he just rolls his eyes
