Jake Michaels WAKE UP!!!!! Josh is at the door. Damn Mom I'm coming stop rushing me. I rush down the stairs before I get shouted at again. I grab my toast and go out the door. Hey dude. Hey Josh, how was your morning. Just the usual, me out the door 10 minutes early. Oh **** you, I got shouted at cause I overslept again. Hahahaha. Not funny Josh. Josh looks forward and sees the cheerleading captain. Bye dude I'm gonna go and see if that cheerleader chick wants a date. Yeah just go Josh I'll just be late again all by my lonesome self. You're the best Jake. I'm late once again, I run inside and stuff the books I don't need into my locker and run into class. Jake, you're late, again. Sorry sir. Anyway today we have four new students. Four hot people come through the door. Two girls and two guys. I can't believe I called them hot. I must be crazy. I was so lost in my thoughts I didn't realize my teacher was saying my name. I got flicked on the forehead by one of my classmates which pissed me off. Yes sir. Jake's Pov. Damn he's hot with brunette hair, green-blue eyes and he's tall. Oh my gosh I'm gay. Should I tell Josh or not. What would he think. Wow I'm having a conversation with my self I'm stupid. Jake I'm asking you a question. Huh, what did you say sir. Jake you should be listening not daydreaming. If I catch you doing something like that you'll have detention. What, serioulsy sir on the fist day of 11th Grade. Don't day dream Jake and you won't get into trouble. Yes sir. I spent the rest of the lesson listening.

BREAK

Josh and I head to the cafeteria. I get a sandwich and water. Josh gets pizza and coke. We get a table and start talking. So Josh did you see the new students, they're hot. All girls or two guys and two girls. Wow Josh do you only care about the gender. Depends how hot these guys are. Ooooh Jake do you like one of them. What no. Of course not. You must be crazy. Hahaha. Sure Jake you believe that. Well you should have a class with them, right. I don't know we'll just have to find out. The first day of school was a breeze but something unexpected happened which got me in detention. It was during the last lesson of the day and luckily I was with Josh so it wasn't to bad. I was busy listening to the teacher when I felt something hit my head. I turned around and a saw a note on the floor. Ace-You know you're really cute Jake.

I pass the note back to Ace with a beet red face. Jake- Wow are you hitting on me the first day of school. That's bold, for a new kid. Ace-What's that supposed to mean. Jake-Nothing.Ace-Sure nerd. Jake-.That's not the worst thing I've heard. Ace-Shit, the teacher's walking over. Ace hides the note in his jacket pocket. Ace what was that you had in your hand. Nothing sir. Ace are you telling the truth. Yes sir, it's just a plain piece of paper. Ace you aren't a very good liar and Jake I saw you write on the piece of paper. So is the paper still blank boys. No sir. Well for lying you two will get detention, in my class four 2 hours, after school.

In Detention

Jake's Pov. I can't believe I got detention on the first day of school. I'm so stupid, I shouldn't have read the note then I wouldn't have gotten detention. This so boring. I need to do something. I look up and see Josh walk through the door. Josh what did you do? Josh rubs the back of his neck in embarrassement. Well I was busy kissing the cheerleading captain in the bleachers and we got caught. Hahaha. Wow Josh you couldn't even last a day with out kissing one girl. Jake please this is so embarrassing. Anyway how long do we have to stay here. Two hours. Damn my mom is gonna be so pissed. Good luck Jake I hope you survive. I better send her a message. Jake who's the kid sitting behind you. Oh that's Ace, one of the new kids. I start blushing for no reason and unfortunately Josh sees. He realizes the person I like is Ace. You guys do know I'm sitting behind Jake. Mmhm, I mumble. Nothing,I didn't say anything at all. Anyway, I didn't catch your name. Oh my name's Ace,and yours Josh and the dude sitting in front of you is Jake. For the last 30 minutes we just made some small talk. It was half past four when our teacher comes in and says we can leave. Josh and I grab our bags and start walking home. Josh turns down a different street. I been walking for 10 minutes when I see my house up ahead. I'm surprised when I see my dad's car in the driveway. I open the door and see my dad at the dinner table talking with my mom. I close the door a walk past my parents. I go up the stairs to my room and and close the door. I'm really happy that my dad is here but I'm also very upset and annoyed. My dad works overseas so he doesn't come home alot. He always says that if there's a holiday or if it's my birthday he'll come over and visit but he doesn't.I flop down onto my bed in frustration.I may be 17 but I can still miss my dad. I hear a knock on my door, it opens up and my dad comes in. Jake I'm so sorry for missing your birthday. I glare at my dad, instead.of him going away he comes over and gives me a hug. Son please down and have dinner with us and I'm sorry I missed your birthday I'll make it up to you. Fine dad, but I really hope you aren't lying. I go down the stairs with a smile on my face. I enjoy dinner with my parents. I go to bed hoping my dad will still be here in the morning.
