I Became The Mother Of The Strongest Villain

Chapter 1

A small house located a bit far from the village.

It was difficult to find it in such a remote place unless someone knew the location.

Still, the house had a visitor. He was a handsome man with jet black hair and dark eyes that seemed to copy the night sky. Particularly, his pearl-white skin didn’t go well with his all-black.

The man knocked politely. The door opened and a little boy appeared.

The boy looked young, about eight years old.

The man and the child stared at each other. Both frowned without saying anything.

“It is forbidden for merchants to enter.”

The voice of a child was unbelievably icy.

“So you’re cold towards your father.”

The man’s voice was so charming that once you hear it, you will never forget it. The low, hoarse voice seemed to attract people by itself.

“It was absurd to think that those words are coming from a man who doesn’t even know he had a son.”

“I wish I had known by now. So where is my wife?”

A man who overturned his child’s voice to the point of being angry, looked around the house to search for the woman.

He was told it was bothersome and to find them moderately, so he came after two days. But the woman he wanted seemed to not be there. He only saw the annoying child.

One son, that’s all.

The man had no affection for blood. It was natural for the man who was a demon.

A world where only the strongest survive.

Affection for blood was a luxury. There was only recognition for the powerful.

“Who do you dare call your wife?”

The boy shed energy that was close to his life. The man gave him a pitiful expression.

Although his appearance looks like an eight-year-old child, he was actually less than two years old. Children of the devil grew at a different rate than normal people.

The child looked four when they met and now, he already looks like an eight-year-old kid.

Such a child could not even become a small thorn to the man.

“Yuria, where is she?”

Still, since he’s a son, the man thought it would be okay to listen to his little complaints. He asked again, changing the subject

“She’s my mother. Get your tongue straight. Just because you’re my father doesn’t make her your wife.”

The child’s expression appeared bloody as if he was quite angry that the man dared to call his mother his wife.

“I am your father, and she is your mother. So, she is my wife.”

He only intended to listen to this child’s whining once, and that was more than enough.

Even if it was Yuria, that level of mercy was tremendous.

No matter how hard the child tried to deny, Yuria was the person who would eventually become his wife and his companion.

Although Yuria’s permission was necessary for him, the child’s will was not very important.

“Do you think you would get along with the sweetest, most beautiful mother in the world? A guy who looks blacker than the gum I spit out?”

Even the words directed to his father were the sharpest and poignant words to be heard.

“Is it because you’re a mongrel? Your eyes must be very bad.”

A man famous among the demons for his looks and skills laughed at the ridiculous comment.

“You can get lost now unless you don’t wish to walk on two legs because you broke your ankle. Indeed, it will look good on you. If you look down on the streets, there were many dogs like you.”

From a child’s point of view, the man was no different than a dog. They wag their tails so much when someone looks at them that a person can be kind to a dog without knowing its true intentions.

The child also didn’t feel affection towards this person despite him being his father.

He was an abandoned child from the moment he was born. He lived alone without anyone’s help. Just before he died, he finally met Yuria who fell in love with him, and so only he can feel what having a family is like. To the child, the only family he had was his mother, who raised him with love. He wouldn’t feel the same to a man he had never seen before

What does blood relations have to do with him?

Although he and his mother were not related by blood, no one loved and cared for him as much as she did.

“Spanking is the medicine for a child who doesn’t listen.”

“Spanking is medicine for a deaf dog.”

The child tried to attack without hesitation. He had no intention of listening to the man any longer.

He didn’t even need to listen. Every time a dog barks, anyone can hear it, but no one understands it.

Regardless, it was time for his mother, Yuria, to return soon. He didn’t want her to run into this man.

The man didn’t listen to him, so the boy had no choice but to forcefully kick him out.

The man smirked at the child’s attack.

How can a child who is only two years old try to deal with me by force?

From the devil’s point of view, he could see that there were already some buds, but it was quite reckless.

Who was he?

Wasn’t he one of the 5 Great Demon Kings?

The man was called the best devil among them.

The man easily avoided the child’s attack, but the child did not give up. Soon, a fierce battle broke out between the man and the child. To be precise, it was a series of the child’s persistent and bitter attacks.

Even if that were the case, he was just a child who would collapse with just one gesture. No matter how much the man had no affection for his son, he had a bit of respect for him. Either way, the child inherited his blood, and at the same time, he was the son of the woman he loved.

‘Tch, this is stupid.’

The reckless child who could not understand and rushed to fight would only end up being killed, even if it was not by the man’s own hands.

But the man’s patience also hit a limit.

The child’s attacks were too annoying to dismiss it as a cumbersome butterfly flapping its wings.

It was at that moment the thought of seeing Yuria with his best clothes came to him. At most, his clothes would be a little bit crumpled.

With that in mind, the man tried to shoot out bitter energy towards the child, but a shopping cart flew out of nowhere and hit the man.

It was an attack that could be easily avoided. Even if one barrier was opened, the shopping cart would’ve not been able to reach his body.

But the man did not. It was because he could feel the scent of a familiar person in the shopping basket.

It was thrown by the woman he loved. Even if she had thrown a stone, he would welcome it for the mere fact that that particular woman’s hand touched the stone.

The man, who was hit by the shopping cart and messed up, smiled brightly.

It was a funny mob. Fruits and vegetables in the shopping cart exploded and colored the man’s body.

When he arrived, the woman he had been waiting for so long, Yuria, stood there.

“Yuri….”

“What are you doing!”

Before the man could even finish speaking, Yuria shouted fiercely.

She had ordinary brown hair, transparent silver eyes with an endless bottom, and was a beautiful woman with a fairly outstanding appearance. However, the people at her house right now were so good-looking that she felt relatively ordinary.

“Fren, are you okay?”

Yuria stared fiercely at the man and then ran to the boy.

She was relieved that fortunately, there were no injuries implicated on the child.

“… Mother.”

The child, Fren, trembled in weakness. It was hard to believe that he had uttered harsh words toward the man just a moment ago.

“You must have been very scared.”

Yuria gently raised her hand and touched Fren.

He was her only lovely son.

With what confidence does that man have to strike the child, when he was raised by his mother with love?

“I… I was very scared.”

It was a soft voice that seemed to crumble at any moment. Suddenly, tears welled up in Fren’s eyes.

Seeing that, the man smirked.

Where does your acting answer to?

Who attacked first?

However, Yuria felt pity and hugged Fren even tighter.

For a moment, Yuria also stared at the man with a cruel expression.

The man flinched at the sight.

“It was that kid who attacked first.”

It was as if he had an attitude that he was proud of.

“Is that what you were going to say when you’re a grown up and fighting a frail child?”

While Yuria had an absurd expression on her face, the man looked at her as if he had just experienced injustice.

Where was that wicked bastard? Considering that he was only two years old, he was quite talented. Fortunately, he was able to prevent the child’s attack and not get injured. If it was an intermediate demon, he could have put his life at the hands of that child.

“You are already perfect and lovely, even each strand of your hair is perfect, but I am worried about your eyes. Don’t you see that little schemer?”

“Who are you to call my son a schemer?”

Holding Fren in her arms, Yuria said sharply.

He (Fren) was like a heartbroken child. She thought that she was being overprotective by treating the child delicately, so she had no choice but to look down on him.

At one time, no, at least in the novel, Fren was the blackest villain that almost led the world to destruction, but it wasn’t the same in Yuria’s eyes.

A wounded and lonely child.

He was such a pitiful child who had never been loved, did not know what love was, and did not know how to give love.

So she took in Fren, pouring all the affection on raising him making sure he didn’t grow up as a crooked person.

Perhaps her efforts paid off. Fren grew up as a lively and bright child that it was hard to think he would become a villain later.

He was a child who sympathized with the sorrows and pains of others and never had blood on his hands.

He never harbored resentment towards those who spoke harsh words to him.

How can that child be weak?

It’s so naïve and clear, that she just wished he’s a little bit weaker.

“… Hoo.”

The man was impressively good.

He already put on a mask while thinking of getting people on his side.

Other demons wouldn’t care, but that frail child was a huge obstacle between him and Yuria. He, who is called the best of the demons, had to be treated like this by the woman he loves just because of that little child.

Just when the man was about to open his mouth to retaliate because he thought he can’t be played by the hands of this child anymore, another visitor arrived at Yuria’s house.

“Sister!”

She was a young girl with dazzling blonde hair and golden eyes and was the same age as Fren.

At the appearance of the girl, Fren and the man both distorted their impressions.

For a moment, they forgot that they were wary of each other. There was another one in their way.

“…… Reah.”

Yuria called the little girl with a complex look on her face, as if not knowing how to treat the little girl.

“Sister, I heard that when you propose, they give you a bouquet of flowers and a ring. Please marry me!”

The girl shouted with a bright face.

At the same time, Fren and the man shed bloody energy. It was so much that Yuria’s house collapsed.

Fortunately, no one was injured.

Thanks to that, the man sensed the signs and immediately opened the barrier.

“This…….”

Yuria looked in vain with her house left with only remains. How hard was it to build a house for her and Fren?

“Go away now! And…… Don’t even think about taking a step here until I restore my home!”

The man trudged out at Yuria’s fierce voice.

No matter what he says, he will only be hated by Yuria in this current situation.

But it was also unfair because it was not only him who destroyed the house.

The man stared fiercely at Fren, who was held in Yuria’s arms.

At that gaze, Yuria shouted with a cruel expression on her face.

“What are you looking at in my son’s face!”

In addition to her resentment of destroying her house, Yuria picked up anything she could grab and threw it at him; In fact, it was a huge rock from the broken wall.

However, the stone didn’t reach him and only passed by.

The man was moved by her considerations. As expected, she’s also a lovely and sweet woman.

Leaving the regret behind, the man quietly left the house.

“Sister, marry me…….”

After the man left, the little girl Reah who haven’t heard an answer from her yet, called out to Yuria with a pitiful voice.

“Sorry.”

“I also studied parenting! As long as sister marries me, I will be a great father to that little boy!”

At Reah’s words, Yuria was speechless. Do you not know the fact that you’re still a child?

It stuck on Yuria’s head that Reah was still a child who knew nothing and simply paid no heed to her, but she’s also worried about what to do.

The girl in front of her was none other than the original female lead in the novel – the biggest cause of her lovely son, Fren, turning evil.

To Yuria, who was worried that Fren would go wrong as in the original story, Reah’s existence itself made her feel uneasy.

So, she tried hard not to associate with the female lead. Plus, this villain’s after didn’t even appear in the novel.

‘Just how on earth did this happen?’

Yuria suddenly remembered the day when she first met Fren.

Chapter 2

It was a very cold winter day when Yuria first met Fren.

It had been almost half a year since Yuria became an extra in the novel.

She was said to be villager 1, and she didn’t know if she even appeared in the novel.

She didn’t even realize at first that the world she’s living in was a world in a novel. When she opened her eyes, she woke up in a place that wasn’t Korea, so she naturally adapted to survive.

She only found out on that winter day she met Fren.

Yuria had gone to the village to buy food to survive the cold winter, and a child caught her eyes.

As everyone walked thickly dressed in the biting cold, a young boy, who she thought was four years old, sat in front of a remote building. He wore ragged clothes with holes on them.

Despite his hair being all tangled and dusty like he hasn’t washed it for a long time, the child looked quite adorable.

His jet black hair paired with his hump eyes made him look like a little puppy, no, more like a tiny baby wolf.

The child sat still with no emotion on his face. He seemed like he didn’t feel the cold, contrary to his lively and cute appearance.

He didn’t move, even though he was barefoot not even wearing shoes, and his feet had frostbites turning blue.

Passers-by glanced, but no one reached out to him and gave him a friendly hand.

Yuria was particularly unable to take her eyes off the child.

His blank eyes looked like a person who had given up on life, so she couldn’t just ignore him.

It was because the image of the little child overlapped with Yuria’s past self.

There was a time when Yuria had eyes like that too.

A family full of scars – rather than hugging each other’s pain, they pushed each other back, jabbing thorns on their wounds.

Nevertheless, Yuria cared for and loved her parents because they were a family. So after her parents passed away, she had a hard time.

Yuria’s acquaintances, who were well-aware of her situation, comforted her by saying it will be alright, but that didn’t comfort her at all.

Yuria, who was suddenly left alone, wandered. She lost the will to live. She didn’t know how to live.

No one truly helped her. Everyone just said empty words for her to be strong.

Those words came with great weight, but Yuria persevered.

She initially thought it was better to give up her life after facing many difficulties, but somehow she couldn’t.

And after all that time, here she is now.

Although it may not be possible to say she had lived her life well, it was to the point where Yuria was doing just fine.

However, with the memories of her scars, she just couldn’t turn away from the child.

How much had he thought of those types of thoughts?

May someone out there truly recognize his wounds and reach out for his hand.

If so, would your life have been different?

Wouldn’t it be better to live a more meaningful and valuable life, than the life you’re living now?

Her unhealed wound reappeared on the child’s face as they desperately clung to her ankle.

Recalling her memories, Yuria thought that only she wanted to reach out to that child. Then, wouldn’t it be possible to give meaning to life, even if it was small, to that child with empty eyes after being hurt by the world?

If her small favor could be of even a little help to someone, Yuria was willing to do it.

Yuria cautiously approached the child, the child was sitting there emotionless with empty eyes, which hurt her heart more.

The appearance of a child who doesn’t seem to expect any help from others once again evoked memories of the past.

The heart of a person who hoped and expected for so long until it collapsed and wished for nothing – Yuria knew it very well.

Until that happens, how many heavy burdens does this child have to carry on his own?

Just imagining it, it was as if Yuria’s heart was being pierced with an awl and there was a hole in it.

She and the child were complete strangers, so no one would blame her if she turned her back, but Yuria didn’t want to.

She felt a strange familiarity with the child, reminding her of her past, someone who wanted to get away from everything by forgetting herself but not forgetting others.

I really wanted to tell you – that I want to give you only happy memories as a child. I wanted to tell you that not only are there just people out there in the world, but good people who have warm hands and are willing to hold their hands out for you.

When she was alone in the world, that was what Yuria needed the most.

Yuria approached the child and draped the shawl she was wearing over the child’s body. He was wary of her actions and stayed still, but didn’t push the shawl she draped over him. He didn’t hold it either.

Yuria was relieved.

That day was very cold. The shawl she wore couldn’t completely take away all the cold, but it was better than the clothes of the child that was only inferior to those who were *****.

“What is your name?”

Yuria asked in a quiet voice.

It was a mellow soft, as if it mirrored Yuria’s personality. Just by listening to her voice seemed to make the child calmed down and relaxed, but the child didn’t answer.

Yuria respected the child’s behavior. If the child didn’t want to answer, then it was alright, it wouldn’t be too bad to leave him for a moment.

Perhaps because the child didn’t know how to accept favors, he didn’t know what to say. No, maybe growing up in despair, he didn’t know how to hold on to hope.

What could be forced and demanded of such a child? Yuria knew.

Wishing for something itself is another form of abuse for someone who wasn’t ready yet. She approached the child herself at her own will offering him a favor in the first place. It was compassion and empathy.

Yuria sat next to the child and quietly stared at him. The child looked more pitiful, and seeing his indifferent face, it even felt more painful.

‘A child like this….’

What on earth is this little child’s story? Just what on earth was wrong with this child to be abandoned and left alone in this world at such a young age?

She was better than him – she lost her parents and was left alone in her teenage years where it wasn’t impossible for her to live.

He – he was only a little to four years old now. What can a child do alone?

He must’ve been alone like that, not knowing that a wound is a wound.

Yuria, completely shaken by the child, sympathized with his situation and burst into tears.

Sitting next to the child, Yuria carefully opened her mouth while sharing the cold he experienced.

“You might die if you keep doing this.”

“… it’s better to die.”

Sitting still, the child spoke in a low voice, in an extremely cold tone. He seemed to have no regrets, as if he really didn’t care if he died.

Having experienced the same feeling before, Yuria knew that the child’s words were sincere without any speck of lies in them.

With that, Yuria stared at the child painfully. Does this child know that it sounds more painful because of his indifference?

The hollow void and the emptiness showed how this child’s feelings and his despondence.

“… What have you lost?”

No, she didn’t even know what he lost. Or maybe, he had nothing to lose from the start.

The expression on the child’s face overlapped with what she looked like in her past. It was as if it was reaching out to her, but how could this child’s life be compared to hers?

Perhaps the child was more hurt than he appeared. Perhaps he had undergone hopelessness and isolated himself from the rest of the world.

Yuria’s eyes were suddenly filled with tears.

Just by being with him, it was as if the child’s wounds were transmitted into her body, weighing heavily in her heart. Even in this situation, no one approached the child. They passed him by telling themselves they had nothing to do with him.

Through the short time they were together, it was very agonizing for her, so how much more was it for this little child?

At Yuria’s question, the child stared blankly at her.

Confusion appeared on the child’s face.

Why are you asking me such a question? Or, why are you doing this?

Then, the child looked away.

Like an attitude that says he had nothing to do with it.

The child was not interested in anything.

It had been hours since he sat here blankly. It was the first time that a person had paid attention to him properly.

No, to be precise, it was the first time in his life someone approached him and talked to him warmly while staying with him, so he didn’t expect her.

He had never received any favor.

What the child was accustomed to were malice and wounds.

So the child thought.

After all, this woman wanted something from him too, but he’s just a child and there was nothing he could do about it. All the child knows is….

Thinking that far, the child shook his head slightly inwardly.

In the end, this woman will also hurt him just like everyone else he had met so far.

The child was very tired. He was so tired he didn’t want to think anything nor do anything. He just wanted to disappear like this.

Was he feeling that way?

Yuria’s face distorted painfully again.

Just by looking at him and staying with him seemed to convey the child’s emotions. The insignificant goodwill that was given at the start only deepened.

Yuria wanted to give the child warmth somehow. She wanted to somehow give the child a little hope.

Growing up in poverty, Yuria was well aware of his needs and she couldn’t stop herself from feeling pity for a child experiencing the same plight.

“Do you want to come with me?”

It was a bit impulsive, a very emotional choice.

However, Yuria wanted to be by his side.

It might be too heavy or too big to carry the child’s emotions, but it didn’t matter at all.

Yes, it would just be a little more difficult than it is now.

After all, life was not easy for Yuria. It has always been difficult. What was easy and more comfortable was awkward for her.

If she can give the child a new life, if she was there to be with him so he wasn’t alone, was there anything more valuable and wonderful than that?

A life that helps someone.

A life of comfort to someone.

That was enough.

Chapter 3

The child didn’t respond to Yuria’s words, but she didn’t rush him to answer.

She couldn’t bear to leave the child alone, so she brought it up. However, you can’t just hold someone’s hand whom you barely know and met for the first time.

It will eventually be the child’s burden in the end. He also needs some time to think and be certain of his decision.

Yuria was willing to wait.

When she asked the child to go with her, her question contained compassion until she made that decision, but there’s also something deep inside her.

A life that didn’t feel the true meaning of living. She had lived so weakly like a swaying reed in the midst of extreme loneliness and deprivation.

It was Yuria who was already used to living her life for others rather than loving herself. Then she met a child that seemed to need her help.

She hoped that she could find the meaning of life with that child.

If she was with this child, it might be possible for her to escape this extreme loneliness and emptiness. If she was with this child, a child living his life like hers, it might be possible for her to escape the trauma of her childhood, giving a different life to the child. For Yuria who needed someone to hold out their hands, for Yuria who eventually didn’t get the help she wanted and grew up incomplete, it might be possible for her to have hope to see a child who received hope and living a better life.

Her actions and choices were with those expectations and thoughts. Living in this world was particularly difficult.

She suddenly woke up here after living 20 years of her life in Korea, and even though half a year already passed, it wasn’t enough to be fully adjusted to this world and get along well with people living here.

Here, Yuria always felt alienated and treated like she was a different person. Even with the acquainted villagers, they only ever exchanged light greetings, but they were strangers regardless.

For her, if she settled here with the child, then perhaps she would feel attached to this place.

A long time had already passed, but the child didn’t answer and stayed still.

Yuria trembled in the biting cold as time passed. The cold here was incomparable to the winter season in Korea. Although she lived here for already past half a year, she thought that she was already used to the cold, but it was still too much and too hard for her to handle. Her face, hands, and feet turned frozen blue before she knew it.

The child looked at her quietly. An emotion flashed in his eyes in a brief moment in his expressionless face.

He had a face asking why she was with him even though she shivered in cold, and his expectations seemed to rise that she might differ from the other people, but it also disappeared in an instant.

For a child who was deeply wounded, it was still difficult to accept the unfamiliar emotions inside him.

Yuria looked at him when he turned away his head.

In a relatively tight bundle, the child still seemed cold. He would get sick at that rate. He looked better than her for some reason, but was still in a critical condition as if he would collapse at any moment.

So she was even more worried. She couldn’t let him stay here, but the child looks like he didn’t want to go. In response, Yuria stayed with the child in the cold.

The day set, and a new day had dawned.

Yuria has a resolute expression on her face that she couldn’t do it anymore (because of the cold) and soon after, she got up.

Then pretending he wasn’t a little kid, the child quietly looked at Yuria.

In his eyes were complex emotions that were hard to describe; even the child had no idea and couldn’t understand his own feelings at all.

At first, it was just the thought that ‘finally she’s leaving’, but when he realized that, his chest felt cold rather than his whole body.

Yuria, who got up, looked at the child, “Wait here for a minute, I’ll be back.”

He didn’t know if he should believe what she just said. He thought that maybe she was also like those people who eventually left his side. Unlike his small stature, his wound was deeper and bigger. But for Yuria, she didn’t want to just leave the child without a word – for a child who held expectations that got hurt.

When Yuria disappeared, the child raised his blank face again. His fingers twitched, as if he wanted to hold her, but couldn’t as if he’s at loss with his uncertainties.

Anxious and desperate, the child shook his head.

Nothing was surprising – it was natural for him to be alone. He had to be alone.

He never held anything in his hand the moment he was born. He had nothing. He never lost anything. He didn’t know the feeling of losing something.

Yuria returned after a while holding a basket in her hand with food in it to share with the child.

There was a thick blanket inside. She wanted to bring the child to her house but she couldn’t do it unless the child gave her permission to do so. The blanket she brought with her wouldn’t completely dispel the cold in the child’s body, but it would be better than only having a thin coat over him.

She also didn’t know how long the child had been starved, so she brought food because she was worried the child might be starving.

She was hungry all day today after only having breakfast the day before as an adult, so how much more painful was it for the child?

The cold wind made the freshly-made food cold and lukewarm, but it would be better than starving.

Yuria naturally covered the child’s body with the blanket she had brought. The blanket was tied like a cloak, shielding the child from the shivering cold.

It must’ve been nice and warm to have a blanket with several layers. With this, she hoped to convey the warmth she couldn’t personally deliver.

“There’s so much food here. Do you want to eat with me?” Yuria said carefully as she took out food from the basket.

The child looked at Yuria blankly, as if he had heard something unexpected, a questionable expression rising on his face. He didn’t know why she said that.

However, the child’s hands trembled when he saw the food on the basket. Just because he refused to eat didn’t mean he wasn’t hungry. He hasn’t eaten for a long time.

He was used to being hungry, but that wasn’t enough for him to turn a blind eye to the food in front of him. In the end, the starved child was in big trouble.

I want to eat, but can I eat it? Me? Someone like me? That kind of… human food?

Noticing the child’s behavior, Yuria muttered to herself, “I may have to throw it away if there are leftovers…”

Not easily reaching out to the food, the child was clearly agitated.

Yuria wasn’t in a hurry, because the mere fact that she saw the child responding gave her a little hope.

Meanwhile, the child’s hands continued to tremble, repeatedly opening and closing.

With a painful expression, Yuria looked at the child’s hand, red from the cold.

The child’s hand looked as small and fragile as that of a toddler.

With small expectations, Yuria grabbed a piece of food and offered it to the child.

The child’s eyes turned to Yuria, asking, Can I really eat this myself?

“Baby, I prepared this for you.”

Yuria looked to the child with a friendly expression and spoke in a gentle voice to reassure him.

The child carefully took the food from Yuria’s hands after a while and hurriedly put it in his mouth.

Have I eaten for a long time?

It was the first time he hesitated. Once the child put the food in his mouth, he finished all the food in the basket without leaving any for Yuria’s share.

Realizing it too late, the child looked at Yuria with wide eyes, staring right into her.

“I’m okay.” Yuria said in a friendly voice.

Carefully examining her eyes, the eyes looking at Yuria were both lovely and painful as if she had caught him eating all the food and scolded him.

He was like a puppy afraid of being abandoned by the warmth of its owner.

His shoulders collapsed with both of his hands clasped together. He seemed to be blaming himself. His expression didn’t ease even with Yuria’s words.

“Oh, I’m full.”

Seeing the child’s eyes filled with worry and anxiety, Yuria muttered lightly as if she was talking to herself.

Although she only ate breakfast yesterday and she was very hungry right now, she couldn’t show it to the child.

She was confident in her health, confident that she won’t collapse even if she starved for one more day. Her first priority was to fill the empty child’s stomach than hers, an adult.

The child still looked at Yuria even after those words. His hearing was exceptionally better several times than an ever-age person, and he could hear the light rumbling of Yuria’s stomach. He became frightened.

What if she beats him up because he had been rude to other people?

He was confident of being hit and enduring the pain with it, but he still hated it. Then another anxiety comes to him.

What if Yuria abandoned him?

He didn’t even know why he thought that way when it was natural for him to be left behind.

But the person in question didn’t want to leave him.

Maybe he instinctively thought that Yuria was different from the others, adding the great kindness in her actions.

Yuria realized that her words could not calm the child’s anxiety.

Since it had only been a day since she met the child, it would be impossible for her to win the child’s trust.

Yuria just kept quiet and stayed by the child’s side, hoping that the child won’t stare at her anymore.

Yuria’s actions worked. When Yuria showed no action, the child was relieved. He felt a mysterious spark as Yuria stayed with him.

The sun set again and shined again. It was the second day since she had faced the bitter cold.

The cold that penetrated in the meantime got more brutal, but Yuria wasn’t too worried because she was used to the cold.

Especially when it came to health and strength, she’s confident that she won’t be sick. I won’t collapse.

Yuria’s body was incredibly strong, which may be the aftermath of coming to this world. She didn’t even catch a cold even after she wandered the cold mountains for half a day in the middle of the winter.

Being accustomed to saying that she will come back to the child, Yuria came back to her home to fill her stomach.

Before she knew it, five days had already passed.

Yuria didn’t force anything on the child, and she didn’t want anything. They just ate food together and stayed with each other.

Yuria got up and habitually said to the child that she will be back.

It was then, “……Me too.”

It was a very quiet voice, but Yuria was focusing on the child, so she heard it clearly. Only two words came out of the child’s mouth, but Yuria could understand what he said right away.

She quietly held her hand out, and the child, who had been hesitating for a while, grabbed her hand.

The child’s hands were colder than the wind.

Even Yuria, whose hands were already frozen in the cold, was startled by his hands.

Yuria didn’t shake off his hand and instead, they walked for a long time deep into the forest – heading home.

And that’s how Yuria and the child started living together.
