A student in the sophomore year said before sitting on the edge of his bed in the room with plenty of decorations in it.

'I better prepare myself for the pain later.'

He stood up and walked in front of the wooden cabinet near his bed.

He crouched down and opened the cabinet.

Then he picked up a small and shabby old box in the corner.

He quickly stood back up again and sat on top of his bed cross-legged as he placed the box in front of him.

He swept away all the dirt and dust that was covering the box with his own hand to see the text written outside of the box.

Liam carelessly flipped the box upside down to put all the things out of it.

All the things that fell down was a different kind of medicine pills for all the types of a headache.

The medicine pills have scattered all over the bed and some even went on the floor but he doesn't care less about it being messy.

"It is less than last year's."

He thought as he intently looked at the pills.

"The pain is increasing every year so is this enough? I think I can hold on to it. Although it's more painful, the time is just a minute or two right?"

Liam said inwardly while he was being swallowed by his nervousness.

"Yeah. It's gonna happen in just a minute and I'm gonna be safe if I can just hold. I would not die today... Probably..." Liam said reluctantly and let out a heavy sigh.

Liam tried to overcome the anxiety that was building up inside his heart by closing his eyes and began meditating to clear all the useless thoughts which were going through his mind.

Liam greeted himself as soon as he woke up and got up.

He immediately jumped out of the bed. He changed his pajamas to put casual clothes on himself.

He soon went and opened the door out of his room.

What Liam saw there was a middle-aged woman standing gently in the living room while wearing a pink dress that suits her very well.

"Happy birthday to my adorable son." Liam's mother greeted him with a big smile.

"Thank you Mom but what's with the 'adorable' on your greetings, eh?"

Liam asked complainingly as he intentionally formed a disgusted face to taunt his mom.

"What? Don't you like it?" Liam's Mother asked with a puzzled look.

"I'm fifteen now mom. Does it suit for FIFTEEN years old like me?"

"Okay. My cute, little sweetie."

"Arghh! Who's Mom is this?!"

Liam shouted jokingly.

He suddenly felt a chill and then he took a glance at his Mother.

Her expression was grim and scary enough for Liam

"Eihaha! It's just a joke Mom! I'm just kidding you know." Liam said reflexively.

'Does every mother in the world have a dark side in them?'

Just then a footsteps can be heard coming from the staircase.

Liam turned his gaze towards the direction of the footstep and saw a good looking middle-aged man.

"Happy fifteenth Birthday Liam, my son." Liam's father greeted him happily.

"Thanks, dad."

After Liam thanked his Father while his head was moving around left and right to find something in their house.

"Uhm. Where are the gifts for me, Dad." Liam asked his father who sat on the chair.

"Eh? Your Mom didn't tell you about it?"

"About what exactly?" Liam asked.

"We are going out later, Liam. You can buy anything you want outside."

"Eh...? Ah! I can buy a new PC!"

"Except for that, Liam."

In the afternoon

"Dad! Where did you leave your car keys?"

Liam stopped in the doorway and asked his Father outside the house.

"It's upstairs in our room, Liam. I and your mother are going to the next street now. We will wait for you there okay?"

A loud sound of a gunshot can be heard coming from the street next to theirs.

Liam looked at the direction of the gunshot and felt a chill ran down his spine.

'Why...? Why do I sense something bad there?'

Liam hesitated at first before quickly running towards the street where the sound of a gunshot came from earlier.

"Hiyaaah!!!"

Liam's running came to a halt as soon as he heard a familiar voice of a woman, he then walked to the direction of the cry to see what was happening there.

At a narrow alleyway

"You bastards! Wh-What did you do to my husband!"

A woman shouted pitifully behind the three men, wearing a black coat and a black hat.

"Pretty woman. Can't you see that he is already dead?!"

The first man said with a loud voice as he glanced at the woman.

"N-No! Why! WHY!"

"Tsk. So noisy. Hey, leader of the day! Can I play with this beauty?" The first man asked.

"Idiot! Do you know that 'Twelve' will immediately kill us if we waste even more time here!" The leader said angrily.

"Come on now! Your gun is loud as shit! Take out your knife and use it to kill her immediately. The police will be coming here soon."

"Alright. We will do this the quiet way now, Lady. Cover your mouth please~" The first man

said to the woman.

"Hiyaaah!!! Noo!!! Help Meeee!! Someone, help me!" The woman screaming for help while tears started to pour down from her eyes.

"Stop screaming! No one will be able to help you, got it?! keke~" The first laughed as he grabbed the woman's wrist and covered her mouth with his hand.

The second man took out a combat knife from inside his coat and pointed it at the woman's throat, then he moved the knife backward and started arranging his position to stab the woman.

He soon moved it forward, aiming for the woman's chest.

But suddenly...

"H-Huh? Dad? Mom?! Y-You, bastards! What did you do to my father!!!"

Liam just came at the end of the alleyway.

He stopped as soon as he saw a group of people and here but what shocked him the most was that his intuition was right.

His family was here.

Even though he didn't know what happened or who are the guys he saw, He became so angry and shouted after seeing his mother's pitiful state and his father's lifeless body lying down on the floor.

The second man's hand came to a halt.

He was surprised by a random kid's shout and was stopped from stabbing the woman who was in front of him.

"Who the f*ck is this little guy?"

The first man was also surprised and asked their leader.

"I don't know! Hey! Why did you stop, idiot?! Kill her now! Come on!" The leader said hurriedly

He was starting to lose patience and once again ordered the second man to kill the woman.

But before the second man could even stab Liam's mother, she barely managed to escape the grasp of the first man.

"L-Liam! Run!! Don't come here! I'm fine! Please... RUN!!!" She shouted while looking at Liam with tears pouring down from her eyes.

Liam hurriedly turned around to run away and immediately decided to call the police.

BANG!!!

"You're one hell of a noisy woman."

The first man said after shooting Liam's mother in the right chest.

Liam, who was preparing to run far away from the bad guys and call the police, stopped as soon as he heard the sound of another gunshot.

He instantly stopped and turned around to look at what exactly happened behind him.

What Liam saw there was his mother.

He saw his mother lifelessly lying down on the floor with a lot of blood pouring down from her chest.

His heart stopped beating for a second after seeing his mother's body on the floor.

While the blood poured down from his mother's chest, tears also began to pour down on Liam's eyes.

He was trembling non-stop, he didn't know what to do anymore.

Liam keeps running and running.

He didn't even know where he was right now but what he knows is that the unknown men with a black coat are still following him.

A while later, he soon came in the middle of the street right now.

He turned around to look for the two-man following him but he was glad that he can't see them.

He was about to stop right there but when he saw a silhouette of a two-man with a knife in their hands, he began to run fast again.

Liam stared ar the dark alleyway in the corner of the street for a moment before immediately running there.

He decided to hide there for the meantime but he still can't feel a slight easement in the place where he currently was hiding so he turned around and looked for a better place to go.

Liam luckily found an opened gate and immediately went inside it.

What he saw inside there was an abandoned factory.

He ran to the nearest and seemed to be the biggest warehouse he saw inside there.

He quickly opened the small door at the corner of it. He came inside it but it was only pitch black in the warehouse so he hurriedly look for a light switch.

Tap! Flick! SWITCH!

Every second, a light opened throughout the warehouse.

He was stunned the moment all the lights reflected throughout the entire building.

The inside of the factory was clearly different compared to its appearance outside.

Inside there was a huge monitor akin to a cinema screen, a 10 meters long white table, electrical equipments, all the science laboratory equipment seemed to be there too and in the middle of it all was a gigantic glass box, surrounded by cylindrical tubes.

The enormous glass box in the middle was almost as big as a three-story house with a blue-green like liquid inside it.

The glass box was surrounded by a ten cylindrical test tubes, which was slightly bigger than a normal person's height and width.

All the test tubes were covered by some black thin metal so the inside cannot be seen. It was connected to the gigantic box glass with wires and plastic tubes that were as big as one person's wrist.

There was also another glass box behind the gigantic one which have a third of the size of the original one.

And a large rubber tubing was connecting the smaller glass box to the gigantic one.

The smaller glass box contains a fluid with unsatisfying colors filling the whole box.

"T-This..." Liam was still speechless.

He was in awe every time he was recalling the exterior of the factory which was not as good as the

interior.

The difference between the exterior and the interior of this warehouse was extremely vast.

You can't even tell that it was a factory if you have not seen it from the outside

The exterior can be seen as a real abandoned warehouse and the inside...

Perhaps it was a secret laboratory.

While Liam was still astonished of this so-called abandoned factory's warehouse, the two men were already walking towards the warehouse's door.

"There you are, little boy! You know, we are tired of playing hide and seek and I know you're tired too so just go rest in peace will ya'!"

The first man came in with a knife in his hands taunt to Liam.

"You chose the right place. Nobody will hear us here, kid." With a faint smile on his face, the second man aimed down at Liam's feet.

Liam jumped and luckily dodged the bullet by a hair's breadth that was targeted at his feet.

He was scared shitless but he quickly regained his senses and ran straight to the staircase to his left.

What he did not know is that the staircase will lead him to a one-way metal flooring that will get him cornered.

Liam ran to the end of the metal floor and looked for another way out but he can't find one. He turned around again to leave but the first man following him is in the middle of the floor now.

"Oh, no! You have nowhere to go. I guess this is the end for you eh? You know... You can just kneel in front of me and get ready to be shot in your head. You can also do your one last prayer..."

The first man said as he stopped a few meters away from Liam.

At that moment, Liam was terrified as hell.

He has nowhere to go and the man was now slowly moving towards him.

Because of his fright, he unconsciously continued to move backward that caused him to trip and fell to the metal guard rail.

The guard rail was thin and cannot withstand such an impact that was given by the fall of Liam so it soon collapsed.

As soon as the guard rail broke and almost falling down, Liam turned his body and reflexively prepared for the fall.

He looked down he saw the top of the glass box open.

Afterwards, the guard rail as well as Liam was now in the middle of the air, falling down in the gigantic glass box with an unidentifiable liquid in it.

The first man with the black coat saw Liam fell over the glass box and can't help himself but to laughed.

"AHAHAHA! This stupid kid. Hey, silent guy! Press all the button-down that you'll see there, will ya'. Let's see what will happen to this brat."

The first man continued to giggle and ordered his companion to press buttons.

Just as he was commanded the second man press all the red button that was connected on the glass box and the test tubes.

"No fucking way! Get me out of here!"

Liam panicked and tried to escape but he can't swim upwards in the liquid anymore to reach the top edge of the glass box.

FLICK!

One by one, the thin metal that was covering the test tubes earlier was being pulled up and lights began to flash from the ceiling of the warehouse into the big glass.

Liam, who was struggling to escape, saw the things inside the test tube and was frightened.

"What the hell!? Am I going to be a lab rat, right now?!"

He thought as he glanced at every test tubes which clearly contains an exact quantity of five brains of a human floating in the middle of another unsatisfying mix-colored liquid.

A moment later, every part of the brain inside suddenly scattered throughout the test tube and it

stuck to an electrical wire and a small flexible tubing that was connected to the big glass box.

Liam panted heavily as he finally stopped struggling then his eyes widened when he looked at what was happening behind him.

The last one to be uncovered was the big test tube behind the glass cube.

It was different from the other test tube, as its content contains a thick fluid with a two hue of gold and blue. It was like an abstract painting where the colors were touching each other, but never getting mixed.

FLICKER!

And just as the sudden happenings weren't enough, the huge monitor suddenly opened and an image of a red warning sign showed up.

Then a monotone and robotic-like voice with a faint tone of a female can be heard echoing from it.

''WARNING! THE GLASS BOX WILL GET OVERDOSE BY THE PROJECT-X."

"WARNING! THE GLASS BOX CONTAINS A METAL OBJECT THAT WILL CAUSE AN ELECTROCUTION AND A PROBABILITY OF A RANDOM SIDE-EFFECT IN THE ARCHETYPE PROJECT!"

"WARNING! THE SUBJECT INSIDE THE GLASS BOX WILL GET OVERDOSE BY AN AMPLIFIED NUCLEUS, AMPLIFIED ELECTRON AND ALL OF THE SECRET ELEMENTS THAT IS NEEDED IN THE ARCHETYPE PROJECT."

"IN THIRTY SECONDS THE PROJECT-X WILL BE USED IN THE SUBJECT! PLEASE BE PREPARED."

"THIRTY."

"AH, F\-\-K! That is bad right!? Come on let's leave!"

The first man said before running down towards the staircase.

"Wait!! You old f*ckers!! I'll kill you two!! Hey, ugly-faces!! WRAAAAH!! I'LL KILL YOU TWO!"

Liam continuously shouted angrily from inside the glass box.

The second man, who was just about to leave the place, heard Liam's threat and decided to make him even angrier for his own entertainment.

Several seconds later, he walked in front of the glass then stuck a piece of paper in it with a message clearly written to it, then the man left immediately.

Liam saw that the second man put something in the glass so he dived down to see what exactly did he do.

When Liam saw the paper and the text written in it his face and expression turned grim.

Then soon changed into a furious one like that of a beast.

Vengefulness crept inside his heart and vengeance sunk into his mind.

The message that the guy written in the paper was,

'If you want to kill us then go and find DARK SOCIETY and looked for the Death Guild somewhere in this whole wide world.... if you are still alive that is.'.

"SIXTEEN!"

"T-These guys really wants to die by my own hands, eh...!"

Liam thought as he swam back at the top of the liquid pool again and once again struggled to escape but the gap of his hands and the top of the glass box was huge so he definitely can't escape the glass box.

The warehouse was starting to rumble and the cause was the process of the so-called "Project-X".

BOOOM!

One of the Electrical Equipment caused a big explosion.

"..haha...HAHAHA! Shit. How can I think of killing those guys, when this Overdose thing will send me to heaven several seconds later? This is not an overdose...!"

This is a f*cking overkill!" Liam shouted from the bottom of his raging heart.

"Argh!"

'I still didn't do that thing! Why now!? Oh! I guess after if I died in this world, I will be reincarnated to another world...'

One by one the Electrical Equipment inside the warehouse was collapsing or exploding quickly like wildfire because of the overheat and electric overkill progressing inside them.

After a while, the biggest Electrical Equipment was shaking violently and showing a sign of exploding in a second.

"THE PROCESS IS FINISHED."

The monitor once again let out a voice.

"THE PROJECT-X IS NOW INSIDE THE MAIN SUBJECT. IT ALSO ADDED SOME EXTRA SPECIAL EFFECTS AND A FEW RANDOM EFFECTS BECAUSE OF TH-"

Liam saw a long steel bar falling from the corrupted ceiling.

He stopped in shock before reflexively umping sidewards.

He was so stunned and was frightened that he let out a sigh of relief.

"I know, I'm not superman, what the hell! I'm just confused because I didn't even have a bruise! I can die from that y' know."

Liam jumped in frustration and spoke stupidly in the air.

'I guess the liquid inside the glass box reduced the great damage and protected me from the explosion.'

Liam wondered why the rescue operation or even anyone didn't saw him here.

But he decided to forget it as long as he was well and alive.

He went to another factory near him to find some clothes to wear for himself.

"Damn! The interior here is the same as the previous one but this time neither the gigantic glass nor the big test tubes can be seen here."

Liam was surprised and thought before wandering around the warehouse.

He soon found a blue pants, a brown coat and leather boots inside a small tent near the corner.

"Heh. I look like an old man with these but nevermind." Liam said inwardly after looking at the clothes that he wore.

Liam slowly and sneakily went out of the factory so that no one can see him and asked him some detective-like questions by the townfolks.

After the successful escape from the asylum..er from the factory, Liam went straight to their house.

'Rest in Peace, Mom, and Dad. It... It will be more peaceful sooner or later after I do what I have to do to those guys.'

Outside of the factory

The police already gave up finding the said teenager's body, even though they only started searching 10 minutes ago when the fire was extinguished by the firemen.

With the four police officers' personalities, they would think 'there's only one person who died'.

They imagined how bad the explosion was just by seeing the damage it caused so they came up with a brief conclusion that the said teenager was already dead and his body was burnt to ashes.

Inside the exploded warehouse.

A huge stone was pushed by another fallen rock and the body of a man was lying flat where it was earlier.

It was, of course, Liam.

Almost half of his body was burnt to a crisp but he was still unbelievably, miraculously alive, and somehow just unconscious.

Only the torso of him was not burnt by the explosion.

But half of his right arm has been crushed by a huge stone and his left shoulder was pierced by a long steel bar.

The rest of his body was colored of a brown and red hue because of the electrocution and the raging fires earlier.

His face was full of cuts because of the shattered glass that pierced it earlier.
