Sun rays shine brightly, passing through the soft curtains of the window, falling gently on the sleeping figure.

Slowly illuminating the dark room as an indication of arrival of new day and new opportunities.

Small sounds of birds chirping make their way into the small vintage home.

'Umm... what's it?

It's morning already? Ah... Do I need to go to work today?'

Taemin slowly stirs in his sleep.

He wakes up while yawning slowly.

He sits on bed and stretches his body.

" Good morning!!

This beautiful world and me!"

He gets down the bed, starts his day according to his morning routine.

" Today's goals:

• Cup of Coffee and kindness... while going to work.

•Get the grumpy boss a black coffee with breakfast."

Taemin starts to talk with himself and starts to prepare for work.

Opening the closet, he ponders over what to wear.

"Hmmm...What should I wear?

He quickly grabs a grey pullover sweater and black pants with black coat and rushes into the bathroom

Taemin quickly gets ready and leaves for work.

He walks to the bus terminal, walking slowly while enjoying the cold winter breeze against his skin as he still has time.

Even though he works as personal assistant of the boss of one of the biggest graphics designing and gaming company of the world, MYS Corp. he doesn't have a car because he doesn't like it.

' Why waste money and resources unnecessarily just for luxury.

I can just get up early and go to work on time while enjoying the beautiful view.

People become lazy after getting addicted to luxuries. '

A few great words of wisdom by Self declared philosopher Lee Taemin.

He walks into a small regular vintage cafe and gets himself a cup of coffee.

" Taemin shi~ here's your order. Thank you!"

The owner sings happily while handing over the cup to her first customer of the day, like every other day.

" Thank you!" Taemin thanks back and smiles warmly and takes his seat, slowly sipping on his coffee.

At the same time a certain someone is getting ready for the day but his routine polar opposite of Taemin's.

He kicks off the blankets, leaving them to be taken care of by the maid.

" Master Min, Good morning! Your outfit has been prepared."

He just nods at his servant and starts to get ready.

The morning events of his were like a broken record, playing in a loop everyday.

Get up, everything else already prepared by the maids and servants, leave for work, eat breakfast brought by the assistant and then work til midnight.

And at the crack of the dawn everything repeats itself like a loop.

His life void of colours and warmth.

He gets ready and looks himself up in the mirror.

" Hmph.. You have gotten more handsome."

He says, admiring his reflection in the mirror.

...TAEMIN'S POV :...

I take my seat and look outside, viewing the beautiful sky when a few more customers start coming.

The owner welcomes them warmly and takes their order, smiling like an angel even though she has been through immense pain in her

life.

The owner of the cafe is a single mother. Her husband divorced her after knowing that it is a girl in her womb and blamed her that she slept with someone else than him.

He left her with nothing, no money, no property but her child.

Such a scumbag! In this world there are still such superstitious and unbelievable jerks who blame women for the gender of the child.

She worked hard by herself and made this small cafe a success, enough for herself and her child.

I wish I could get my hands on that b*stard. I will make sure to-

" Taemin samchon!"

I stop cursing out in my mind when I see a beautiful little angel clinging onto me.

" Aren't you going to school little one?"

I ask while taking her into my lap.

" No..." She answers cutely while playing with my sweater.

" Why?" I ask sweetly.

" Some bad kids made fun of Yeonie! Yeonie is so sad!

I will not go!."

She tells me while pouting.

I furrow my brows and before I ask something her mother starts.

" Omo! Se Yeon-ah! Stop bugging Taemin samchon!

Sorry Taemin-ah, she is just a kid. Don't listen to what she says.

You must be getting late for work."

She says quickly and tells Se Yeon to leave and get ready for school.

" No Eunsuh Noona, tell me what it is."

I insist as it is an important matter to me.

Even if we are not related by blood I take her as my sister and I've known for her long enough to say that she is a good and hardworking woman who deserves a happy life and respect.

" Some kids at school made fun of her because she... doesn't have..."

" A dad?" I complete her sentence.

" Yes..." She looks down, her face filled with grief and sadness.

" Have you talked to the principal?" I ask.

" Yeah...the principal said that she will look into the matter but...

She thinks I still should get married because Se Yeon requires proper parenting and I cannot take care of her while working.

But Taemin-ah, how can I trust another man after what happened with me?

And..I always try to do everything for Se Yeon. I make sure that she doesn't feel lonely or depressed but...am I not enough?"

She asks me, tears threatening to fall from her eyes.

I quickly hug her and comfort her.

" No, you are enough. Se Yeon has you and me. It's your choice to get remarried Noona and it is completely fine if you don't want to rush it.

Take your time and don't listen to what others say.

Tell me if anything happens, I will talk to the principal and if necessary we will change Se Yeon's school."

I assure her, feeling bad for what she has to go through.

" Thank you so much Taemin-ah! But you've already done so much for us. I don't know how to repay.."

" Noona! Don't talk like you owe me or something!

You are like a family to me. Ain't an uncle supposed to take care of his niece?

Also you have kept me company when I was lonely and far away from my family and you still do. So stop it and bring Se Yeon out.

I will walk her to school."

" No no! You should go to your work. I.."

She starts but I cut her off.

" Noona, I won't be late.

I still have an hour before I start to work okay? Now go~

And bring me the bill now Miss!

Don't make your customer wait."

I say and smile at her, trying to ease her a bit which I succeed in.

" Okay..." She smiles and brings out a fully dressed up Se Yeon.

I pay the bill and leave a small note for Eunsuh Noona as I usually do and then leave with Se Yeon.

Eunsuh's POV:

I bid goodbye to both Taemin and my Yeonie and then resume my work.

I walk to the counter and find a note left by Taemin.

He does this every morning, leaving a beautiful small note filled with warmth, making my heart flutter.

The last part saying ' your brother' still breaks my heart but I try to accept it.

He is the only one in this world who truly cares for me and my daughter.

Always helping me, making me feel special,

it's no surprise that I ended up falling for him.

But I know that he won't accept me.

Not because I have a daughter and have already been married.

He is a great and kind person, he would never let such things in between.

It's just that...he is not interested in girls at all.

Hmph... what's the point of telling all this.

I can never get a husband like him but at least I got a good brother like him.

And I will cherish this relationship forever, til death.

Taemin too does the same and goes to meet the principal of the school.

Taemin asks a woman, seemingly a staff of the school.

" Yes...go straight and then turn left in the D block of the building." She answers.

" Ah..yes. Thank you!"

He bows to her thankfully and goes to the office.

* Knock knock*

He knocks on the door and waits for an answer.

" Yes..come in." The principal answers.

He goes in and bows to her.

" Hello,

I am Lee Taemin! I am here to talk about the issue of the student Yoon Se Yeon."

Taemin says calmly.

" Oh I see.. Please take a seat.

But may I know what's your relationship with her?..."

" Yes, I am her uncle."

" Oh! Never knew that she has relatives." The principal exclaims in surprise.

" I am not blood related but I have been with her and have been looking after her."

Taemin replies.

" Oh..." The principal says, stretching the O part.

" Yes.. actually I wanted to know if you took action against those children.."

" Yes, I have already warned the children who were making fun of her.

But..I would like to advise her mother to remarry. The child's parenting should be..." The principal tries to say something but Taemin interrupts her.

" But don't you think it is better for her to take the descision?"

He asks, his tone rougher than intended.

" Listen Madam, I really understand what you intend to say and I also know you mean no harm.

But telling a mother that she can't handle taking care of her child alone.

Don't you think it is wrong and too harsh?

She gave birth to Se Yeon alone.

Brought her up til now, alone.

Gave her everything she ever needed, I repeat alone !

Please don't discuss this matter ever again with her."

The principal looks down with guilt, unable to say anything.

" I didn't come here to blame you madam nor to make you feel guilty. I just wanted to let you know how hurtful your words might be for someone.

Taemin gets up and bows a little to her again and leaves from there.

He looks at the time..

" Shoot!!" He shouts in the middle of the school ground.

Everyone stops and turns around to look at him.

" Ahh...Lee Taemin!! I told you it was a bad idea to talk to the principal right now! Now you are gonna be late!!"

He shouts and runs in full speed, catching the bus.

' Task 1 done...

Task 2 will be done in 15 minutes.

I have 20 minutes left.

I will have to reach to the boss's office which is at 45th floor of the building in 5 minutes.

Ah!!! Fu..I can do it!"

Taemin motivates himself throughout the ride and arrives at the favourite restaurant of his boss after 5 minutes.

He finds this place really scary in the morning because it is empty and cold, completely packed and suffocating with artificial lights adding up to the feeling of loneliness.

He feels like the warm feeling essential for human being's survival is lacking in this place.

He quickly orders the same menu and waits patiently for the order to be done.

' Don't know why he likes this place. I prefer places warm and cosy.

Well now that I think he always likes dark, quiet and cold places...likes to sleep a lot....

Makes me work til I get nosebleeds...

No way! Is he a vampire??

Aish...what am I even thinking!!'

He gets busy with his thoughts for next 10 minutes and then gets the order when it is prepared and leaves, after paying, for the office in a hurry.

" Dasi Run run run!!!" He shouts and runs out of the scary place.

Yoongi thinks to himself wickedly and smirks while swinging in his chair slightly.

He has been waiting for this opportunity for past few months.

He wanted to scold Taemin, yell at him.

He hated the younger because he is appointed by Yoongi's father.

He was his father's choice not of his own.Yoongi never wanted to have an assistant, so bothersome.

Yoongi tortured the hell out of the poor boy the first few weeks after his appointment.

Making him do stuffs which are not even supposed to be done by him, making him work after-hours, getting in his way and messing his work up.

Why?

Because he didn't like the fact that his assistant is ex- boyfriend and currently friend of his archnemesis ' Choi Minho'!

After bearing the torture from his boss for almost 2 years Taemin stopped doing mistakes.

He became perfect at his work and no single soul in the company could raise a finger at him, not even Yoongi.

He knew Taemin since college days.

Yoongi was his senior and has this misconception that all of this kindness that Taemin shows is a facade, a lie.

Oh boy did he know how wrong he was!

But no need to worry!

The fate already has a surprise for both of them.

It will slowly bring them together

and mould them into one another.

A/N: How was the chapter?

Was it boring?

The story will progress slow and steady but I will try to make it as fun as possible.

There won't be many characters, or any badass villains.

And also...I really request you all not to pay attention to the ships.

Please pay attention to the story.

I am a major jikook shipper so I usually avoid Yoonmin but it doesn't mean I hate it or hate taekookers or any other ships.
