Prologue

20th of June, 2024

Because of politicians' greed, World War has shattered all over the world.

The dust and sounds of tanks everywhere on the ground are making a dreadful noise, so loud that it could burst.

An assassin and soldier, Michael Wane serves the government as an emotionless tool. He has no family or friends.

He was a refugee orphan, but a soldier came to him and trained him to become a weapon for them in the next few years.

On the battle ground where Michael is staying to lead his army, The opponents collapsed. And on the ground, hundreds of soldiers died, and the sound of screaming, bleeding, and begged for their lives.

And a bullet raining everywhere. That's the life of Michael Wane.

A soldier came to the inside of the tent and saluted Michael.

"Sir, We need to make a decision about what we are going to do with those prisoners!" (Soldier 1)

"How many prisoners do we have?" A cold gaze and a voice.

"I."It's twenty-five, sir!" (Soldier 1)

"Hmm, just kill them."...

Sir? (Soldier 1):

"Why? Don't you hear me? "

A serious gaze and a cold voice from Michael.

"I."I understand." (Soldier 1)

A few minutes later, after the man soldier came out of the tent, he suddenly came back and said,

"Sir! This will end the lives of many civilians who have nothing to do with this war! And there are still innocent and vulnerable victims too. We don't need to kill them all." (Soldier 1)

"Why do we need to kill those innocent people? "Sir," (Soldier 1)

"Because we have to seize this opportunity whenever we can. To be able to not have trouble in the future."

"But—" (Soldier 1)

"— Also, if we let go of this opportunity, even more innocent people will be killed. Anyway, those people are bound to die in this war. "

The soldier's fist trembled in anger and pity.

Before the man soldier came out, he said the last thing.

"Sir."

"What is it?"

You don't care if that many people die? "(Soldier 1)

The solemn voice from Michael, seated at the table, rang out. He stood up and approached the soldier. The noisy room fell into silence as soon as he heard his voice.

"You say I have no mercy on those innocent people?"

"Yes." (Soldier 1)

The soldier said without hesitation.

You know, I'm not a real leader here, and I'm just a mere tool of the government. In this war, we only follow those higher-ups. "

He pointed his finger at the soldier while saying those words to him.

"Our goal is to win this war." The lives of countless people are on our shoulders, and the only reason we are here is to win this war. Don't waste your time on this small problem. "

"Then how are you going to deal with the consequences of having innocent lives?" (Soldier 1)

"You have so many questions. Go and finish your job as a soldier."

The soldier became silent, with a look of pity on his face. And the soldier came out and followed the orders to kill the prisoners.

Michael gives orders to the other unit.

"I declared today that we were going to bomb Zane City. That's where the enemy position stays."

"Sir!"

"We won't accept any orders from you," the female soldier suddenly shouted at Michael. and exchanged an astonishing gaze.

After Michael had announced his decision, a few soldiers silently left the room. who was thoroughly dissatisfied with his decision to follow him.

"Sir, Give this another thought. Are you really going to slaughter all the civilians you kidnapped? " (Soldier 2)

"That's in order, we cannot obey them."

"But you are our leader and the one who made the decision." (Soldier 2)

Another man with gray-short hair, who was Jason, the second in command of the army, came inside a tent and walked ahead of him, trying to persuade her with an urgent voice.

"Michael, I heard you were going to kill those innocent people. Think over this again. We can't allow this to happen to kill those innocent people." Jason said.

Michael sat down in his chair while patting his head.

Give the orders. That cancels our operation to bomb in Zane City. " Michael said.

"Yes!" (Soldier 2)

"I know it's hard to become leader of this group... but I'm glad you still have mercy on those people." Jason said.

"Tsk. Don't give me a damn gentle word. Get out, I need to rest. " Michael said.

After giving the orders to them, all the soldiers salute Michael. And left on the tent,

"Sigh. What do I need to do this? I hope this war ends. "

In the middle of the evening,

I heard a noise coming towards my tent and then said,

"From Unit 4, We completed the mission and came back to report."

The soldier man, who looked young, came to the inside of the tent and met Michael, who was seated in the chair.

"What is it?" Michael said.

"We found the spot of the enemy leader."

Hearing his report, the expressionless man let out a long sigh, and it was like false information.

"Well then, good job on your work."

As Michael went back to his tent, he heard the sound of a gun.

Bang!

As soon as he finished, he felt a bullet in his belly and a gun being pointed at him. It was an A-K.

Even before entering the room, he felt the tension and acidity spewing from it.

"My apologize, but we are now going to take this mission. You are no longer useful."

The soldier in front of him, showing his nasty face and malicious glare, was the leader of Unit 4, who was always kind to him. But it's not true.

Michael, as always, stared at him with his empty eyes. He felt his life fading away with the blood flowing out of his body. He didn't feel any indignation or sorrow over it. All he thought was,

"cough*." "So... this is my ending."

A soldier approached him and took the gun from his side and pointed it at his head.

And an unknown soldier comes.

"You know I always don't like your orders from me. killing an innocent person. You are the worst leader I have ever served under."

"If you wish to speak any last words, just say so. If you beg me, I can spare you. Maybe I changed my mind. "

"I'm...not... going to die by your hands."

He put a suicide pill in his mouth. Biting onto it, he slowly curved his lips. He ends his life quickly without any pain.

And then, after he took a suicide pill, he lost consciousness and died.

Chapter 1: Gods

Michael's consciousness slowly getting back and he stoop up and looked at his surrounding it's all pure white. he is have no clothes on his body.

"Huh? Where is this... a heaven?"

When the Micheal uttered those words, unknown people appeared before him.

"Hohoho... Have you calmed down?" Old man said.

"Are you okay?" A beautiful woman wearing a white dress and white hair.

"...Is this Heaven? You suddenly came out of nowhere, so I was a suprised. My apologize. Let me introduce myself. I am Colonel Michael Wane."

"Hohoho... There's no need."

The old man lift his hand and flip his two fingers, and all of the sudden, a table appeared, atop which were cups filled with hot tea and soft pillow to sit on along the sides.

"Don't just stand up... Come on, take a seat." Woman said.

"...Well Then. Thank you."

The beautiful woman smiled to Michael when he take a seat, which Michael promptly took. the beautiful woman sat on the left while the oldman sat in opposite to Michael.

Excuse me?! Er... I don't know, But, What happened to me?"

When they had all taken their seats, Michael asking them. the oldman took a sip of hot tea.

"Young man I hope you won't mind if I ask some questions to you."

"Ok. That's exactly what we're here for." Michael said.

Well, Let me introduce our name. We are what you believe in your world we as [Gods]. I am Zaint, God of Creation. The woman to your left is Zanna, the Goddess of life and death. We are gods of a different world or I should say Another world.

"You might not know this, but your soul has been transfered in my world."

"Hmm...I see. So that's what happened. then, what are you gonna do in my soul?"

Michael accepted Zaint explanation without hesitation and he sipped his hot tea. The two gods were suprised by his reaction.

"Wait! ... is that it!? Shouldn't you be panicking a bit more like "That can't be!" or something?" goddess said.

"Oh, don't get me wrong, I am a bit surprised, though I do admit that none of this feels real to me right now. Besides, if all this is nothing more than a dream, then I would eventually wake up, but even if it's not, well.. everyone will pass away anyway.And I already know my fate that one day I will definitely die.

"Hohoho... you are interesting fearless young man." Zaint said.

"Well... I'm soldier and colonel so I don't need to worry about that also I don't have any family or relatives anyway, so this turn of events is a lot better than just burning away." Michael said.

After Michael said to those gods he was truly satisfied from the bottom of his heart even though he died, but that only caused the gods even more pity to Michael.

"It's...Odd" Goddess said.

Odd?

"Amazing, you are the first human that no having regret to die... but you are satisfied."

"Well... I'm just a mere orphan who become weapon of the government that's why I'm glad that I die and now I'm finally free."

Micheal said with a satisfied smile on his face.

"Well... Michael Is there anything else you want to know?" God Zaint said.

Michael became thoughtful for a moment.

"Well... what am I going to do now?"

Right. let's me explain how we are going to do with you're soul.

"Ah!... just like you are going to reborn me in another world?"

Zaint was shocked to see Michael so easily understand what was going on to situations.

"You'll be reborn as a baby, in a sense. we will transfered you in another world with a new body for you in our world, so you have now parents." Goddess of Life and dead explained to him.

"You will be much good look and your parents is also kind. If you have any requests, just visit the church and we will respond to you." God Zaint said.

"from what family I will be born in another world?"

"Hmm... you are going to born in Baron family. even thought they are a lowest rank they are have a big heart and also kind."

"Then, I give you my Thanks. For my new life, just don't make it weird make me become handsome. and Is there anything in particular I need to do in your world, like mission or others?"

"There's nothing left to do for you. If there's any we want, well, you've pretty much accomplished it the moment you're reborn in another world, so there's technically none. You going to the another world is your only mission and live a new life. like your wish that no war." God Zaint said.

Michael nodded upon understanding and he was glad to give a chance to live again.

Well The---

Can I also use a magic? or sword?

"Yes. you can use a magic."

"Yes. once you are reborn but you need to train."

"Hmm... Interesting, Well, Thank you so much."

"Once you are being born in otherworld, you will have a baby body as a humans, so you'll also be able to use magic but don't reveal that you can already use a magic it's will become danger from your family."

"I understand."

Michael felt his face grow excited as the two gods looked at him with happy expressions, but regardless, he was happy to be born in a magicworld and also that he would be able to use magic and sword.

Ok. it's good now. Michael when you turn to five years old in another world. just said only [APPRAISAL] and you will see you ability and your strength.

"Whoo... It's feel like I'm already strong once I born."

"Yes. you are already strong."

Michael suprised and become silent when he heard from gods.

"Ok. It's time for your to reborn."

God Zaint lifted his right hands and he pointed to me and he said an ancient words that I don't understand.

The moment God Zaint cast an ancient word, a bright light suddenly wrapped around my body.

"What's this?"

"That bright light it's from my magic. so there's no need to be worried because he won't get hurt you." God Zaint said.

"I understand."

Hearing that from God Zaint, Michael understood. and also it's time for farewell to two gods.

"Thank you for you're kindness, I won't forget this for the rest of my life and as a former soldier."

"Micheal we'll always be watching over you. so good luck." Goddess said.

"Also, Michael, change your personality now that you're in a new (another) world."

"Ok. I'm going to try even I'm not good with people feelings. I lived for 45 years, but I never got along well with others becuase we are just a mere tool. but this is my new world so I'm going to try my best."

"Hohoho... I'm glad."

Alright, It's time, to born in a new family.

The bright light gradually grew stronger until it covered Michael's vision.

"Michael, become good in otherworld and live happily, alright!"

"All right. Thank you again for give me another chance to live again."

The bright light he was being swallowed and Michael he started to lose consciousness. and then Michael gone.
