Part 1. Ten-year old saint— A boy from the enemy’s country.
1. The meeting between a girl and a boy
‘Be mine, or I’ll go to war.’
The smooth voice rang in my ears like a mirage. I was practically facing an ultimatum. With the surging troops of the enemy.
This has been the biggest crisis yet since I was born as a saint.
The problem was that he was too out of his mind for me to deal with. The beautiful, cruel young monarch of our enemy, Callis. He was cursed to go mad, hated myself, yet was also terribly obsessed.
“Adele.”
I recited his name; the only person who dared to word it out loud.
Where did it go wrong? It was cold reality, how such warm memories faded as this harsh reality overtook its place.
In fact, my relationship with him was not bad. No, it was pretty good.
Before he became Emperor of Callis, and when I was a child during my early days of being a saint.

Chapter 1
◈
Our relationship heads back quite a long time.
Nine years ago, when I was only ten years old, the world practically seemed beautiful. Until I met him!
The reason was simply because I was born as a blessed saint here in the Holy Land ruled by God. As a beautiful and holy lady with jet black hair, possessing the only golden eyes existing in this world.
It was, by no means, a coincidence.
In my previous life, I was a poor girl born in Korea. A divorced family, a child whose parents had turned away from. However, I managed to grow up well between my grandmother’s hands, until I had become a middle school student; until even she left me.
The moment I headed for the orphanage, my mom visited me. My mother’s face seemed surprisingly young and bright. She had met her boss at work and was said to have remarried.
‘My baby, poor thing! How much I missed you!’
She burst into tears and embraced me. Soon, I took her hand and headed for my new shelter. I met my stepfather, brother, and a girl of the same age as me.
It was called for, nonetheless, they both detested me very much. As if looking down on a beggar rolling in their house.
From petty harassment to slander, mental violence, bullying.
For the sake of peace in the house, my mother pretended not to realize what was happening to me, and thus I continued my difficult and unpleasant life. With the conviction that I would leave this house after graduating from high school, I wrapped myself in a blanket and kept crying.
I cried and held on.
It was during the freezing winter, the day that I was killed.
The night my stepfather and mother left for a couple’s trip, I was trapped in a warehouse in the yard, covered in cold water caused by my drunk brother and sister. I was only dressed in a thin pajama.
They probably forgot about me completely as they were drunk.
I shouted for help as I banged violently against the door, while in the cold weather. The freezing air, which had dropped to minus twenty degrees celsius. Now that I think about it, I seem very pitiful.
A miserable and terrible story that might have happened somewhere in this world. Being the protagonist of the story, I prayed earnestly as I slowly, but painfully died.
“I’ve lived like a fool all my life, so please make sure I live happily in my next life.”
Oh, and I hope those who killed me will be punished!
And, to my utmost surprise, God granted my wish. It was a trivial matter, as such a god wasn’t one of this world.
Overwhelmed with confusion of my sudden birth as a baby, I finally accepted God a year after all those events occurred.
Only then did I know why I was born a baby. And what kind of being I was.
It was my grandmother in my previous life who had led me here. My grandmother happened to stumble upon the cracks of the world, finding the remnants of a dying Wolshin.
The fragments of Wolshin were inspired by her rare, pure soul, thus accompanying her until the day of her death.
Grandmother, which had reached the end of her life, failed to help the remnants of the Wolshin.
However, she worried for her only granddaughter who would now be left alone at an early age after her sorrowful death, thus she watched after me for a long time, rejecting the power to move into this world. Not only during her life, but also during death.
Wolshin’s fragment assimilated into the sorrowful grandmother’s feelings and crossed the world with my soul.
My grandmother melted into one with Wolshin and became my god and parent.
Thus, I was born into the bright light with a holy oracle. Inside the white buds existing in the pond deep down the temple, my God!
Ezdel Seraphia, the only woman amidst the Wolshins who could rule the Holy Land in the future. That is my name.
This small but rich country, surrounded by white walls and the sanctuary of Wolshin, was my hometown. All the people inside the temple, located in the center of the Holy Land, truly looked after me, serving me with the utmost care.
Life as a saint was filled with peace and tranquility. As a bright child loved by everyone, my path diverted exactly the opposite from my past life, as I was destined to be.
It was since that day.
The day I met him for the first time!
The priests were rather occupied that very day. I sneaked outside the temple and strolled, lost in my own thoughts.
I was feeling very emotional that day. As a saint, I sometimes felt lonely, as there was no one I could speak on equal standards with. Everyone was constantly serving me as someone of higher position.
That moment, memories of my past life were creeping.
I suddenly remembered my friends who I had become close to. They held no prejudice during those difficult times when I was bullied in school, condemned inside the house at the initiative of my stepfather’s children. Hye-kyung, Yoo, Jeong-i⋯ Would they have been sad, knowing of my death? They must have been.
In that case. Would my mother, who turned away from me in my early age, then brought me in from the orphanage when my grandmother died, feel any sadness? What did she think at that very moment when she had seen me dead?
She shouldn’t have brought me in at all? Or would she bury me in the very place before I left the world?
I was dejected at the question I faced once more after a long time. It was now impossible to confirm.
I happened to bump into someone as I absent-mindedly walked around the corner.
…Rather, he was the one to push me. I violently fell backwards on my butt, in accordance with the strong push.
Oh, it hurts! My butt!
After rubbing my hips, I witnessed the back of the child still walking.
“You, what are you?”
Far from looking back, he moved onwards as if nothing had happened. My anger burst.
“Hey!”
Oh, look at this kid? He’s pretending not to know.
I pouted my mouth. I couldn’t let this person, who tried to hurt my precious butt and left without saying a word, flee!
I picked up a small pebble by my feet and threw it towards him.
“Hey, you’re not stopping!”
Puck! Nice hit! It must have hurt a little.
The child, struck by a stone in the back of his knee, stopped walking. Finally, he looked back.
Huh? You look pretty. A lot.
I was out of my mind. Her blue sapphire eyes, which were most likely to have formed from water, glared at me clearly.
Fine and beautiful features. The dazzling hair flowing down her forehead was gleaming gold.
The child, which seemed my age, was literally a baby angel in its torch.
She was so cute, I wanted to hug her and pat her on the head. Pretty children are always liked.
As I stared blankly, I suddenly came to my senses by the voice.
“Do you want to die?”
The surprisingly dreary voice that was a bit too low for a girl. You mean a boy? I raised my chin, relieved at the thought of having one less competitor.
Apart from having a slightly different appearance, that arrogant way of speaking and finely grown up atmosphere. This kid is definitely―
“It’s not enough you pushed this cute girl, to even threaten her! You look like an aristocrat, but your status is nothing in this Holy Land!”
Wow, that’s childish. But since I’m ten years old, it’s natural for me to be childish.
I heard that there were occasions when high-ranking people from other places abuse their power in these holy countries, but I didn’t expect such a child to do that. While astounded, I approached the pretty boy. When I stood in front of him, he lifted the corners of his mouth.
“I suppose so. If you leave this Holy Land, your life will become like that of a fly’s.”
He spit the following, his unfriendly cold face seeming unlike that of a child’s.
“You deserve to die just for interrupting me, but I’ll let you go this time.”
I was standing, dumbfounded, and feeling the urge to smack that pretty blonde head of his. I felt my insides boil.
Have I ever seen such a cheeky kid? I don’t know how precious he was, but he grew up spoiled. At best, he’s ten years old, the same age as me!
…But I’m a saint. I have to be sophisticated. I took a deep breath, then asked, “You have a bad personality, don’t you?”
I know I’ll look easy to this guy, since he doesn’t know who I am. However, that doesn’t mean he can ignore me now, does it?
I flicked my finger. His body turned stiff.
I am a saint, and the atmosphere throughout the Holy Land obeys me. That is why I bound his body in response to my will.
I walked along and stood in front of him. My lips shaped into a winner’s smile.
“Then, shall we accept the apology now?”
The most apparent way this boy will react is bursting into tears like a little baby.
If tears rise from the eyes of this pretty baby, I will feel guilty, then reflect ‘I was too harsh on the kid’. Then this weak-minded saint would forgive his rudeness and leave him calmly.
Even so, he was as arrogant as his first impression. He held a violent temper. Similar to that of a beast who was about to jump… and break my neck. Oh, I’m scared!
So, you’re telling me I need to see blood? I approached him.
“Apologize.”
When I pushed my head to his face, he glared at me, twinging in anger. Blood sprang up on the back of his exposed hands. There’s no point in resisting. My strength in this country is absolute!
I asked him sternly, as if to give him a last offer.
“Hey, won’t you apologize?”
Although he could freely move his mouth, the boy only responded with silence.
Cheeky! I waited generously for about five seconds and then raised both my hands. His expression was deemed questionable when I lightly touched his pale cheeks lightly.
I pinched his cheeks slightly, using the tip of my index fingers.
It’s very chewy meat. His skin was smooth and soft, as if kneading sticky dough. This is why adults pinch their children’s cheeks!
When I continued playing with his plump cheeks and pulled them to the side, his face turned mortified.
Oh goodness, look at that face. He seems different from how other children react when they are being treated like toys. Dangerous eyes, vivid anger.
Precocious and sensitive. Don’t mess with the pride of a child carelessly. Otherwise, it’ll be crooked.
But the child was already crooked to be any more crooked. His buds had already sprouted.
I smiled broadly, my mouth exposed under the hood.
“Yap!”
Add more strength now! Chukk― If he was already accustomed to the pain, release your fingers, then pull again. Tears filled his eyes as I pinched his skin, controlling the strength I applied every time. They were tears filled with physiological pain. I possess a lot of strength in my hands since I learned how to play an instrument!
I could feel the guy clutching his teeth from my hands which pinched his hands.
“You won’t apologize, will you?”
As he tried to resist me, a painful groan reverberated from his mouth. But it won’t work. Is he going to resist while frozen in his place? Not a chance.
I removed my hand, only after the tears finally dropped from the eyes of the boy who had been puffing for a while.
What a tough kid. It was respectable patience. When he grows up, I could see the number of buds that will soon convert into thorns.
Honestly, I’m tired. I’m sure he’s learned that he shouldn’t pass by without saying a word of apology. Hmm… He learned it, right? Possibly, yes.
“All right, I’ll give up. Go away.”
When I let go of the kid, the same person who was presenting a lot of strength staggered, unable to balance himself. Oh, be careful! You’ll fall.
He hurriedly rubbed his eyes with the back of his hand, perhaps wishing to erase the fact he had shed tears. I’m a generous saint, and I’ll forgive you since you’re in this state.
I immediately turned my back.
。☆✼★━━━━━━━━━━━━★✼☆
◈
“You!”
Cuck! A hand suddenly wrapped around my neck, making me feel suffocated. I quickly terminated the fierce atmosphere from attacking me. Calm down. You’re just a kid!
How harsh. I turned around to face his arm. The sudden wind blew off my hood.
Unseal! Oh, this wasn’t the right one. My fluttering black hair hovered freely.
Then, the force completely drained from the kid’s hand after he had seen me. His blue eyes, which widened, reminded me of water droplets. Dilated pupils to a certain extent. As expected, this beauty.
I smiled kindly, just as a saint would, in front of the frozen individual. He flinched. It was more than obvious. Apparently, you’re one prohibited young lord.
“What’s wrong, do you have a crush on me? Then it’ll be difficult.”
Maybe this was a situation similar to, ‘you are the first woman to hit me!’ I didn’t hit him, but I do agree that pinching is a variety of the many physical pains that could occur.
He presented his suspicion at my credible speculation.
“Saint?”
“Yes.”
“…Nonsense.”
The boy frowned.
What’s wrong with you? Is it because the girl you pushed and verbally abused was a saint? Or, because you’re intimidated by the difference in status with the girl you’re in love with? Maybe, ‘how dare I witness this beautiful flower on the cliff!’ Because of your frustration?
In fact, even a decent aristocrat couldn’t stand by the status of the saint, the leader of the Holy Kingdom. It would be nice to have a dream, but this one was a bit unrealistic.
All kinds of imaginary scenarios unfolded inside my head, and the boy’s frowning expression gradually unfolded. He tried speaking to me.
“You…”
It was then.
“Saint, where are you!”
Krrneung! I was both shocked and astounded by the sound; it was as if I had heard a tiger roar from the top of the mountains. Is it Arianne? My God, why is she here!
The most dreaded name, Arianne. She was one of the most powerful High Priests in the Holy Land.
Unlike Eirene, my kind and compassionate nursery priest, Arianne held a sharp insight, a sharp personality, and… To be honest, she was very mean.
She was the one who always scowled and spoke harshly that I shouldn’t do this and that, barely able to suppress her anger if I ever got involved in any accidents. Her expression then was unimaginably scary. Anger you could read from her facial tremors, ugh.
It is said that the young priests which had caused any sort of trouble and were scolded by Arianne, would race to the opposite direction whenever they noticed the hem of her clothing approaching them.
Aside from that, Arianne came to search for me! Why is it not Eirene??
In an instant, I turned into a rabbit chased by a wild beast. I agitatedly turned from side to side. After the boy noticed my embarrassment, he muttered suspiciously.
“Are you sure you’re a saint?”
“I ammmmm!”
Arianne’s call could be heard from an even closer distance. Now, even her growls could be differentiated. Ugh. Had she been tracking my energy, now that I had used my divine power a moment ago?
I glanced around and made out an alley on the opposite side of the road. Inside, there was a random pile of junk. That’s a good hiding place.
Just as I was running there, I glanced back at the kid. Can I leave him like this?
This seems confusing, but if Arianne asked him if he had seen me, he would effortlessly use his pointer finger, leading her to the exact area where I hid.
I immediately grabbed him by the wrist, leading him to the alley. And we ran.
He followed me calmly for whatever purpose he had. Although I had to fully power my hands with strength!
As soon as I entered the alley, we hid among the stacked boxes. I searched for Arianne’s location, as nervous as the main protagonist of a thriller movie. Where is she?
Fortunately, she didn’t seem to have noticed anyone hiding in this place. Only after the sound of her footsteps faded did I look back at the boy.
He was looking at me, his expression mild. His ferocious expression from earlier disappeared as if washed away. He seems to find it difficult to process that I am a saint.
I saw right through him. It’s artificial. That’s a normal adult reaction. A normal child would hold a reaction that looked up to me, or one filled with amazement. But he wouldn’t play it that far.
His eyes were cold. I smiled brightly as I witnessed his observant gaze. No reciprocal smile surfaced.
You still have red handprints on your face. Did I pinch you too hard? I reached out and rubbed his cheek, feeling a bit guilty. I whispered affectionately to the cold-faced child.
“Aren’t you a good boy? Let’s be quiet.”
As I enjoyed the soft, bouncy texture, I spoke to the fierce-eyed kid, who seemed ready to rush forward to his prey.
“You know, no matter how much you like me, you can’t stare at me so passionately.”
God cares about me so much that he might get angry. After I concluded my words, he shut his lips tight.
This is the temple and I’m a saint. I recalled a while ago, when he was rather rebellious the time he had been beaten.
He was a bad-tempered but self-controlled child. I’m ten years old and went through a lot of experience to develop patience, but this child was different.
He’s going to be something big. Looking at the shape of the sprouts, I could estimate how huge his future will be. Why do you go out alone in such a place, when you seem to be a precious child?
“How did you come to the Holy Land? Where is your guardian?”
Are you lost? He seems to have a purpose in being here. He grimaced at my typical question.
“Why are you being chased when you’re a saint?”
Even though the boy knew I was a saint, he stubbornly didn’t change his tone. He’s acting like a child. I laughed brightly.
“Even a saint has her own hardships.”
“Is this the age saints lose the power God bestowed upon them, even in this Holy Land?”
He made an inference, as if there were any great meaning in my words. What conspiracy theory is this?
The distant sound returned, and was suddenly drawing near. I smiled, whispering in a hushed voice.
“Look, that person chasing me is Arianne, a very scary priest. Her specialty is to hold on to any adventurous child like you and hit them so that their butt burns. If I say you pushed me, Arianne will be very angry. So be quiet.”
I don’t think the kid believed my words a hundred percent, but he still shut his mouth.
Losing the power God bestowed upon me… I dwelled on the kid’s words as I held my breath at the sound of Arianne’s feet turning this way.
Priests couldn’t speak about such stories recklessly, so the only words everyone voiced in front of me were praises of the Holy Land and the dignity of God. Do they think I’m still too young to know that?
I observed his cold blue eyes and wondered if he was attempting to catch me.
Are you shaking me with words? Or, is it because I don’t seem to have much power as a saint?
If you show me a miracle, I might change my mind. My pride hurt a little.
In the meantime, the footsteps became very close. It seemed like she finally decided to search this way.
“Saint!”
Arianne’s voice caused me to shudder.
―Thud!
I was pushed forward out of the blue.
Oh, my butt! The moment I struck the ground at the area I had injured before yet again, tears circulated through my eyes due to the pain. He pushed me twice!
A shadow cast over my head before I could even rise from the ground. This, this is⋯
“What are you doing in a place like this, Holy Lady? Goodness!”
“A, Arianne.”
Arianne lifted me up and brushed my hips. Her feelings clearly reflected with the sore touch, and my buttlocks became sore.
“Why did Arianne come, not Eirene?”
“Eirene asked me to take a quick look at the saint, but you weren’t in the bathtub, when you had said you would be taking a bath. I came because I could feel the energy from outside. I’m more curious as to why you activated your divine power!”
“Well, it wasn’t a big deal.”
Arianne’s eyebrows soared to the sky.
“If you’d like to head outside. Then you must be with a priest! No matter how safe the temple is, how would the temple be seen if you are caught in such a state!”
“But if you leave a person with me, I won’t be able to freely roam around. The outsiders will know who I am and it’ll be difficult for me.”
Arianne’s appearance gradually softened. She swept her hair roughly.
“Haah… Anyhow, we are heading back.”
“Rather, I’d like to introduce someone.”
I looked back with the hope she would tell me who he was. The only reason I didn’t bother asking him was because there were many other ways to find out!
Priests in the Holy Land had very attentive eyes. The ability to see through the foundations that make up a person. The other person’s lineage, birth, etcetera.
It is said that you could earn a glimpse of it as a vague color, however, this insight has not yet opened to me as a child. Not everyone is allowed this ability, however, Arianne had such eyes.
“What is it?”
I was taken by surprise the moment I looked back. The area where the boy had been standing a while ago was empty.
“Uh, wasn’t he here?”
“There is no one. Who was there?”
“…Nothing.”
He flew. He seemed to have fled before long. The moment I attempted explaining his existence, I ceased speaking. Somehow, I felt like I shouldn’t do so.
Arianne, who had tilted her head in that while, held my hand firmly. Immediately after her divine power gathered around me, I stood in the courtyard of the temple in the blink of an eye.
Arianne reached out and grabbed me, wearing a serious face.
“Holy Lady, I haven’t told you this yet, however, there has been a mixture of unholy energy entering this place.”
“Unholy… energy?”
“Yes. It seems they weren’t tested because they were hidden from the sacred energy. As someone moved it, it was detected that the energy was spreading out. Everyone is searching for the source.”
“Isn’t that dangerous? Shall I participate? I can do it as long as I’m searching inside the temple.”
Arianne grasped my shoulder.
“No, the Holy Lady is still young to use her divine power. During your growth to an adult, your divine powers are not complete until the body is complete. I will let you know if you are needed, so you are better off inside.”
Her speech in itself was soft, but existing within Arianne’s eyes, a firm determination was conveyed: ‘Don’t bother us and stay quiet!’
“Okay.”
I unhesitantly nodded. Of course, that didn’t mean I would obey her. This step backwards will lead into another step forward.
I made a plan. The urge to sleep often occurs at my age. I succumbed very well at giving in to that drowsiness, but today was an exception.
That night, in bed, I tried to wake up my mind as I forcibly opened my closed eyes.
I need a *hot 6! Or coffee! After brutally biting my lips, I eventually chewed on a herb used as a stimulant.
*TL/N: A ‘hot 6’, or ‘핫식스’, is basically an energy drink Koreans have.
Ugh, bitter. The scent of the peppermint spread throughout my mouth.
The God who appeared in my prayers before bedtime, had hit me on my forehead so as not to get into any trouble, but I was going to enjoy the luxury of not having to listen to others, like the child I am.
Yeah, we’re going on an adventure tonight!
Having succeeded in firmly resisting my habitual urge to sleep, I only left my bed during the time everyone was asleep. I looked around.
I hadn’t planned to walk out of here on foot.
The place I resided in was none other than the temple, in addition to my room being on a high floor. Like in the movies, there may be a scene such as ripping the curtains to create a strong rope for an escape method.
It was unrealistic how the temple knights were standing on guard with their eyes wide open, and how no one could even sense their presence. Wouldn’t it be rather easy to become a class 007 undercover agent?
So, of course I took on a different approach. A simple, easier way. Teleportation.
Space teleportation was the first ability I could ever use. At first, I was in disbelief the moment I found out I could actually activate this ability; the ability which I had imagined and dreamed of.
Was it now possible for me to teleport space and fall into a completely different area?
While pondering the answer to my question, I proceeded to learn space teleportation as of the day I observed a few priests using the ability.
Space teleportation required the caster to have a high level of sacred magic and consumed a substantial amount of sacred power.
By the age of seven, the time I first succeeded in moving close range, I was so happy that I ran around.
Now I’m creating trouble for the priests who taught me!
Arianne was able to track me down earlier, not because of space teleportation, but because I used my divine power in order to capture the kid.
Space teleportation was a sacred magic in which I could use with confidence and without being detected!
It’s true that I sometimes sneaked out, but I’ve never done so late at night. If I just leave and come back in time, I won’t be caught, right?
As I mumbled while calculating the outcome, I swiftly changed into the pre-hidden outfit under my bed.
All right, I’m ready. I’m firmly committed to this. Is this how one feels about their first run away? Excitement, feelings of guilt and tension which cause the heart to beat frantically. A saint runs away like a delinquent teenager!
However―
“I have a job I need to complete.”
I focused my mind and instantly teleported space. The view changed as different landscapes covered my view. The texture under my feet also differed from before.
Dark night, unfamiliar space. However, I was positive I knew of my current location.
The alleyway. The same spot where Arianne had apprehended me, and the area where the boy caused me to fall on my butt twice.
The reason is obvious, isn’t it? I came here looking for him. I was going to find that rude guy wherever he was and give him a good scolding.
Not because I’m saint, but that ten-year-old vengeance of mine was burning deep within me.
I grinded my teeth.
“Just wait until I catch you.”
The more I thought about it, the more angry I became. Well, I’m not angry. I’m also kind of curious about him.
I smoothed my invisible antennae in the air. I had a hunch. There’s something about him.
After a while, I commanded the surrounding sanctity as I did divine power. Lead me to where the child is.
It was a more precise way than using Holy Magic myself to explore the Holy Land.
“Maybe he’s already gone.”
As soon as I murmured skeptically, a dazzling white light grew in front of my eyes, as if the moonlight was falling.
The endlessly shining light soon opened a narrow path in front of me. I lightly fell from the ground like a butterfly and followed the path.
The light led to flat ground which made it easier for me to keep up. I sometimes had to cross over walls, but this was easy.
In the Holy Land, especially on a moonlit night like this, I possessed a special ability as a Saint of the Moon God. Like the gravity of the moon, I’d be able to move as lightly and gently like a butterfly.
As the path of light faded, I spotted the boy. The location was a narrow alley similar to where I first arrived.
“Oh?”
I covered my mouth. The child was lying on the floor. Was he pretending to be an aristocratic noble, then becoming homeless? Maybe he already received his punishment!
As I observed him from a far distance while rolling my head leisurely, I sensed something was unusual.
The child looked troubled. The way his arms and legs stretched out in all directions. It seemed like someone knocked him down rather than him lying on the ground voluntarily.
There was also something standing in front of him from a distance. A strange, creepy black shadow.
The moment I witnessed the glistening of its blue eyes, I immediately struck the ground.
It flew, narrowed the distance in an instant and landed in front of him. I froze right away, my courage rock bottom.
“Th, this, what is this…”
Something, seemingly similar to a human. He stood with his feet on the ground, and his features were human.
However, its eyes were torn vertically like an animal, its fangs were flashing, and the nails which were as long as rakes did not resemble a human being.
It was a monster. Mommy! I knew they existed, but it was the first time I saw one in real life!
A hideous monster which would appear in a movie. Just looking at it made my legs shake.
The monster, which seemed like it would leave, noticed me and stopped, seeming a bit reluctant. Yeah, this is the temple and I’m a saint. So, what kind of monster is this in the Holy Land?
I activated my sacred power and asked where the shallow groan resounded.
“Are you all right?”
“Saint?”
His voice didn’t sound very good. He seemed to be trying to lift himself up.
However, the moment he moved against the floor, I heard a thud.
The monster’s pupils, stimulated by the sound, narrowed. It was an attack signal.
Right now, the problem wasn’t revolving around myself being caught while outside the temple. I held the boy in my arms and confirmed my decision.
When I overlapped the injured body, the boy grimaced painfully.
Kwagwang! I whispered as soon as I heard the sound of the barrier being attacked.
“Be patient.”
Then I turned around. The creature was showing his teeth ferociously and attacking the barrier.
He struck it with his sharp fingernails. Pang, pang! I was overwhelmed at the moment.
“Oh my God.”
My heart pounded as the unrealistic fear swept through me. I cried out for God deep inside my heart.
What should I do? There was the divine magic accustomed to burning impure souls. But I never learned the technique. There’s no way one would ever use that in the Holy Land!
As it is, such a monster could not enter the Holy Land, as his whole body would have burned while in the divine barrier.
Standing so fine now was evidence that the monster was strong enough to withstand the barriers.
One of the guys patrolling the neighborhood should have seen this already, but they’re all on duty!
The monster’s body flew sideways the moment I criticized the knights internally. What?
Puck! The monster flew into the wall of the building.
The vivid silver light fluttered like a fantasy in front of me, as if it were covering the night view. It was as beautiful as the moonlight. I knew for sure who the owner of this hair was.
“Ca, Camael?”
He was like an angel of death that ascended from the moon.
Regardless of my call, Camael completed his job. He quickly approached the wriggling monster and struck him with a blow.
―Kwagak!
“Kkyak!”
Y, you cut its throat! The sword was extremely sharp as it moved at a rapid pace, it seemed invisible.
Not all holy knights in the Holy Land could show such a sword. Only one person―
Camael, the Holy Land’s first holy knight, walked towards me and knelt down.
“I greet the Holy Lady.”
As soon as his words fell, the divine power surrounding his body lifted by itself. Not only myself, but also the sacred power within me was fully aware of his existence.
As I faced his vivid violet-colored eyes, my tension slowly eased.
I spoke to him like a child.
“Camael, thank you for coming. I was really scared.”
At times like this, I’m willing to turn ten.
“That wouldn’t have been the case if you hadn’t walked around during the night like this.”
That’s right. I stuck out my lips.
“I’m sorry.”
Camael did not have that type of friendly, soothing personality. Was it because he was cold-hearted? Maybe it’s because he’s not human.
Camael is a fairy. A member of the fairy tribe who had been rescued by the hands of Wolshin the moment evil energy flooded the earth.
Camael, a Holy Knight under the command of Wolshin.
He was so strong, it could not be said there was any person stronger than him within the country’s knights.
He, who had lived longer than a human life, was extremely sharp and terribly fast.
Above all, Camael is incredibly beautiful. He is truly an improbable beauty.
Although his gender is male, the normal image according to his characteristics would be a muscular and fit man. However, Camael did not match that image in the least.
He possessed such a vague face that one wouldn’t know whether he is a woman or a man, in addition to him having a both slim and slender body, matching that of a model’s. His skin is transparent and clear, free of impurities, and his face is delicate and elegant. Naturally, when I first saw him, my jaw dropped.
I lost! I’m completely defeated!
I have gotten used to his appearance, but it was my first time witnessing him under a moonlit night like this.
His hair was shining like silver lining, and his subtle purple eyes were mystical enough to remind one of his identity again.
…Perhaps the reason why God saved him was due to his dazzling appearance, which attracted a flock of believers like bees. I often have such impure thoughts.
However, he also had one flaw. That expressionless face. It must be pretty when he smiles, but unfortunately I’ve never seen him tear down his dull expression.
He rarely revealed his feelings to the point that I thought he was a fairy made of glass. Perhaps his emotions and feelings are so thin. Because he’s a fairy! I don’t know what type of fairy he is.
Even a little fairy like Tinkerbell might be cute, but a fairy knight who was detached from everything in the world, referred to as the ‘Artist of the Moon,’ was something I really favored. In other words, I really like him.
I grinned and opened my arms, not daunted by his cold words. He held me in his arms and patted me on the back, as he always did since my childhood.
It held such a magical effect, I was immediately reassured by his obligatory hand gesture.
I soon remembered someone I had forgotten while in his arms. Because he painfully groaned while trying to lift himself up.
“Ugh.”
“Who is this?”
In an instant, Camael separated from me and brought his hand to the sword. His movements were filled with wariness.
I approached the boy quickly and helped him. He breathed, in a daze, as if his wounds had been accidentally touched.
Cold sweat formed on his forehead. You must be very sick. I let go of my many grudges and supported him with my energy. No, I tried to.
